a grocery store

Great having this around the corner. It sure beats walking to the grocery store. Folks are friendly they've got beer, scratch tickets, and made to order sandwiches. Very reasonable prices.

Han's is a life saver. You want an awesome, made on the spot deli sandwich? This is the place to be. They have a "sack special" that's $4.99 and gets you a huge sandwich, small bag of chips & a 12oz can of soda. It is unbeatable. No seriously. Fucking go there and buy that tomorrow, it's the best deal in town. Especially on First Hill where prices are sometimes way too high for no reason at all. One other thing I must stress... I know it's Yelp and all, people here probably don't drink energy drinks... but... If you're a fan of Redbull, buy a Redbull here. It is cold as ice. Cold as fucking death. I liked Redbull before, but after having a Han'bull my life changed. It is the awesome-maker, the hangover cure. It's like being reborn. Deli "Sack Special" & a cold as fuck Redbull and you are fucking set on a lunch break, after work-quick meal, day off kickin' it awesome day, etc. Mr & Mrs Han hold down a nice and tight shop, they recently got a new security camera system it, the place keeps it tight. Great wine & beer selection for being a small place, and actually great prices on them as well. I mean I can go on all day, it's one of the best 'corner stores' in the city. I got love for M Street Market a block down, but if you really want a great Deli Sandwich at a good deal, hit up Mr & Mrs Han at Han's Deli. They will always have my business.

The motherly-feeling female owner served me a few sandwiches here. They all tasted great, despite some language communication issues. I was curious to check the joint out after reading other favorable reviews, and they were among the first foods I "ate out" with ever since moving to Seattle. So there's already an emotional "OMG FIRST TIMEZ!" memory factor. I'm not sure if I'll be going back soon since I "graduated" but this holds a fond place in my heart.

This is the true convenient store. It has just what you need albeit not at supermarket prices. The friendly staff makes up for it -- I'm guessing it's a family owned business so I'm all for supporting them!

The owners are so nice and make the best sandwiches. I love the BLT - absolutely delicious! Also a great place to pick up household items.

I like going to Han's because their prices are reasonable and just as good or cheaper than the QFC down the street.

He didn't have to do that and it was such a kind and generous offer. What a genuine and caring establishment. Also that matzo ball soup was better than my Jewish grandmother's! Bonus: this spot is kosher! Potato Latkes (5/5): These latkes are thick boys and fried up so they're piping hot when they hit the table. Because of their size, you really get the contrast of the hard crunch on the outside with super fluffy potato inside. So good we immediately turned around and ordered more. Chocolate Babka (2/5): This was truly the only miss I've had here. Unfortunately, the babka just really dries out after it's been sliced, which is a shame because it's just gorgeous with generous swirls of chocolate inside. Reuben (5/5): I really thought their pastrami couldn't be beat, but the brisket is dare I say better? Just as tender and feels a bit less fatty, so it's a little more crushable. Tip: go for the seeded rye over the marbled rye; something about the marbled rye just falls apart a bit more with the juices of the meat, though it's still delicious! Black & White Cookies (4/5): I expected this to be cloyingly sweet, but this was actually scrumptious with some fresh lemon flavor in the cookie itself. Absolutely massive as well.

Then you chose to increase prices and decrease the quantity, which didn't make sense. Less for more? What a waste of a great idea - greed is why your business model didn't work. Your business was so hot when it opened and it actually went downhill about 6 years ago and I am not sad to see you go. Josh - to respond to your comment. My note should have inspired some reflection with the business model but it didn't. Your level of greed was insane and that is not forgiven here. You started hot and decided to squeeze more than your share from this business and this is what happens. You messed around and found out. It's sad because I actually supported the business when it opened but quickly had to end my dealings due to the high level of greed. You did this to your own business by wanting more, more and more, so please don't play the victim here. I'm sorry that you're saddened by this but what you did to the community is far worse than what I said. Actually ripping people off with your product is not having humanity. I'm not the inhumane one here and let's get that straight. I didn't rip people off - you did! You got what you deserved and that's that. You likely have time to turn things around but I doubt you can reduce your greed in time. If you do, I'll gladly come back and support yall. Again - food was great and greed was not.

I'd heard they were good, but holy smokes, I didn't realize they would be *that* good. Here are my recommendations: - Get the Tatstrami. Its combination of flavors is so freaking good. - Order online and then sweep in and pick it up. Since the place does most of its business during lunchtime, there's always a line and this is a way to skip that. If you want to venture beyond a pastrami sandwich, I highly recommend the chicken cheesesteak. While I normally opt for beef when it comes to cheesesteaks, Tat's actually isn't amazing but their chicken one is. So get that instead. In short, this is tied with Dingfelders for the best sandwich in Seattle. Pay it a visit and bring your appetite.
