We talked Homer into a photo with us after he gave us the hats! Great experience all around!

We happened upon this restaurant while staying in the area and were absolutely delighted by the service and the ambiance! The food was absolutely delicious as well, we had the burrata salata which had a lavender honey drizzle that made it stand out! The Spaghetti Meg Ryan hit all the high points with delicious meatballs and finished with a bit of a kick! Our waiter, Jackson was great and gave us very personable service and the owner, Homer spent time talking to us and even gave us a couple of hats from his "private stash"!! Would definitely highly recommend this restaurant!!

What an intimate and fun spot! This is a small space so highly recommend making a reservation. We went on a Sunday evening and it was easy to get a table. I will say the menu is limited but everything we ordered was tasty and good portion size. We started with the nachos without chicken, which I was hesitant about ordering but it turned out being a hit. It has a slight kick to it, which I enjoyed. I'm glad they put black beans for protein. We also got the spiced nuts, which tasted like they had some Cajun flavors. I got the spaghetti as my entree and it was so simple but flavorful, which is exactly what I wanted! We were too full to order desert but want to check it out next time!

Came here for a late brunch with a couple of friends and it was very chill. The place is bigger than it looks on the outside with nice sky-lighted seating in the back. We got the wedge salad (3.5/5), jalapeño cornbread (4/5) breakfast bowl with veggie chorizo (4.5/5) and shrimp and grits (4/5). Everything was solid, overall a pretty solid brunch place.

Really disappointed with this one. While the outdoor space was beautiful, 21 Greenpoint missed the mark with most of the dishes we ordered. I had the steak frites and substituted the fries for the cooked kale, but the kale was excruciatingly salty while the steak came out cold. We tried the crispy artichokes as one of the appetizers and it just didn't wow us, especially for the price point. The burrata with lavender honey was honestly the only thing that saved the day here. And if you're looking to eat expeditiously, this isn't the place for you. I understand that many restaurants are understaffed these days, but there was little communication with our server -- she didn't take our app orders until we had been sitting for about 30 minutes. I would reluctantly give 21 Greenpoint a second chance, only to try out its dessert.

Sunday brunch for 2. Thanks to my friend Frannie, I was introduced to this gem for a delicious brunch after an interactive art show at The William Vale on a Sunday afternoon. First of all, the place is so design-appealing, with rounded shelving, a half-circle counter bar area, the cutest window frames, colorful tiled tables and gorgeous tiled floors, friendly plants. Even their outdoor parkette is well-design and an extension of their indoor area with a beautifully tiled floor. It really is a designer's eye candy! We both ordered the chilaquiles and added grilled shrimp which was phenomenal. I ate every bite! From the delicious sauce, to the fresh herbs to the perfectly crunchy (not soggy) tortilla chips -- every bite was a delight. I couldn't believe there wasn't a line out the door when we arrived without reservations. The vibe is chill and relaxed which was just what we wanted. Can't wait to go back to try other dishes and take more photos.

GREAT GREAT GREAT - went on a Wednesday so it was pizza night and the pizza was delish. We had the meg Ryan (the group loved the spicy sauce!) we also had the Hawaiian and the squash pizza with kale. All were excellent. What really stole the show were the apps, the wedge salad was phenomenal and the artichokes and calamari were insane! The dipping sauces that came with the dishes were the best I've had in a while. Great atmosphere and drinks and wine as well. Will def be back!

Brooklyn has so many new and interesting restaurants opening up everywhere, it is not easy to keep up. The name of the restaurant is the address of the restaurant, makes it easy to find and to remember. It was pretty packed, and seemed rather small. They had a bar right at the entry, and very small amount of seating... But, we discovered they actually have more seating in the back with bigger tables! The back room was very nice and cozy, quiet and relaxing. Well, until this room got filled up. We ordered a few items since we were all hungry. We got a Special Pizza of the Day, which was white pizza with mozzarella, permesan, and pepperoni. It had quite the punch from the chili flakes, good and spicy! We also ordered a Market Fish, which was Scottish trout. The fish was very much like salmon. It had great mix of fish and sweet watermelon! The last item we ordered was Pork Chop New York. The pork chops was nothing like I imagined, and quite tasty! The meat was packed with flavor with perfect amount of seasoning. For dessert, we asked what the "Seasonal Cobbler" is, and we were told it is apple and pear. It came out piping hot, rather small but since we were full, that was ok. It had some rosemary that added aroma and flavor which was quite pleasant. It was not too herb-y but just enough. I was used to getting ice cream with cobbler in the past, but their cobbler does NOT come with ice cream. So, we added order of ice cream as well. We chose Vanilla and Blueberry Olive Oil ice cream. The ice cream came out first, and it took a while for the cobbler to come out. So about the time the cobbler finally reached our table, the ice creams were gone... The service was good and friendly. We were taken care of nicely, felt welcomed in a relaxing atmosphere. It was a good find on the restaurant, with good food and service. The price point is rather high, though.

Seated in the back room table for 3. It was a nice evening, their first night open since January. The ambiance was really nice with tee light candles around the room and dimmed light fixtures. Very cozy vibes. We ordered a salad, burger, steak and fries. All which were delicious. Definitely would come back! Our waitress also was so kind and recommended the bottle of wine which was medium body, red. Perfect pairing with the steak and burger. I think the fries alone was the highlight. I could have a bowl of those crispy fries and a bottle of the wine and leave so happy! They do charge service fee 3.50%, likely due to Covid times and restos taking a hit? We didn't mind of course! All around happy patrons.

One of only two Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It's owned by Bill Murray's son, Homer, whose creativity is on display as the menu changes regularly. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, despite each dish being highly refined and delicious. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Liked the vibe. The bar area looked cute as well as overall interior. The pizza was surprisingly tasty as well as arancini.

This restaurant is 6 out of 5 stars…read more I ate here a few times back when I lived in NYC, and now that I can afford to, I make a point of going every time I visit NYC. I bring friends and family and lovers when they're in NYC with me. It doesn't get old. Some restaurants I visit a few times and get tired of. Not traif. The value is spectacular. I think the tasting menu was up to $62 the last time I visited (up from $45 when it opened around 2010 if I recall correctly, so the price has increased less than CPI inflation), plus an obligatory service fee in lieu of a tip. (A positive in my mind, I hate tipping culture.) For 10 or so dishes. That's like $6 a dish before the service fee and tax. You can hardly buy any prepared food dish in the city for $6. The cheapest items at Woorijip are $5. A slice of pizza at a midrange pizzeria is $5. You're getting around 10 excellent dishes at a fancy chef grade quality level for $6 each. There is a wide range of flavors, spices, ingredients, and textures. The ambience is comfortable, casual, and hipsterish. You can come as you are, you don't need to dress up. The patio is really nice when weather allows. There is enough space between tables (by NYC standards) for comfort. The cocktails are also quite good. I usually order two. Haven't tried the wine pairing as I'm not as much of a wine drinker. The service is consistently good. Traif is my standard of comparison for more expensive fine-dining restaurants. Any time I eat at a more expensive meal, I ask myself, did I enjoy the food more or less than I would have enjoyed a $62 meal at traif. More often than not, traif wins. The exceptions are usually at least 2x as expensive as traif. That's not to say there's no merit in trying those other restaurants, for the sake of variety or their unique ambiance. But like I was in Honolulu recently and had a tasting menu in Waikiki that was 3x the price of traif and it was terrible. Every dish was the same flavor, umami and salt. They put all their XP into plating and textures, and none into flavors. I was at Bad Roman recently and spent $100 before tax and tip on dinner and one drink. The ambiance was sublime, but the food was just so-so. Other than their neighboring sister restaurant xixa (similar format but Mexican-inspired), I know of no other restaurant in NYC where you can get nearly this price point for such high quality cheffy food. There used to be a few others maybe. They went out of business or raised their prices. Only traif and xixa remain. I've spent a lot of time looking. I haven't found any. As an Ashkenazi atheist, I also love how the name and theme of the restaurant poke fun at kashrut.

They'll try to sell you on the Chef's Choice but it just didn't seem like an efficient route for our table so we just ordered the items that caught our eye. Only reason for 4 stars is because the waiter's attitude changed a bit when we didn't order any alcoholic drinks. There's an automatic 20% tip here and it's already a pricey place so seems like a strange attitude to have...

AMBIANCE: Walking to the restaurant from the subway, it's located on an unassuming block at the corner of 4th St and Havemeyer in Williamsburg, front of store doesn't particularly stand out. Walking in they've decorated with creative, crafty (in a good way) touches--the multitude of ropes draped from the ceiling add dimension to the ceiling and the bar back wall is composed of wood pieces forming a multi-colored herringbone pattern. Textured glass pendant lights hanging from the ceiling throw mini geometric patterns across the dark walls, and vibrant canvas artworks add pictorial interest along the walls. FOOD: YUM. I can see why this place was jam packed on a Saturday night, and reservations are needed. Strong recommendation for their tasting menu at $58 pp, what a delightful meal! 8 sharing dishes and 3 desserts were perfect for a party of five, and drinks are separate though you can add a cocktail pairing for $47. For each main they provide a serving per person, and the desserts are shared. I came hungry and was so full by the end of the meal--everything was delicious! - grapefruit guacamole w/house-made chips: the grapefruit chunks were "meaty" and surprisingly went really well with the guac, it added a different citrus element than the usual lime. Comes with a small bowl of maybe 6-7 chips and we asked for two chips refills since the chips to guac and salsa ratio was low. - spicy faroe islands' salmon tartar: tasty and I liked the latin flavors and corn, snow peas, a touch of wasabi. Flavors of the sesame-soy-truffle-lemon vin and crema got a little muddled. Relatively more "generic" dish of the evening though I was here for it! Any dish with fresh tender salmon, I can't complain. - blue crab and carrot tostada, generous shredded crab salad on top of freshly crisp blue corn tortilla. Topped with pumpkin seeds, dill, cilantro, and saffron-orange aioli. - three cheese & artichoke 'queso fundido': served in a very hot ceramic pot and super melty and delicious, eaten with the fluffy grilled pita and green apple slices + salsa. One of the top picks of the evening. - roasted bone marrow and chorizo, served as tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, and added a sprinkle of pickled onions--does that sound amazing? Bc it was AAHMAZING. - spicy chipotle-guajillo shimp 'diablo' (not spicy): served with pumpkin tortillas and three accompaniments on the side--mushroom chile crisp, horseradish crema, celery 'salsa macha". Part 2 to make your own tacos was another hit! Our entire table agreed if they sold the sauce for the shrimp we'd all buy it. - heritage pork osso bucco 'carnitas' with Fall-spiced black mole, sour cherry mostardo, calabrian chile pesto: cue drooling now. This part 3 of the tacos was served on pumpkin tortillas; the meat was practically falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavorful. - buffalo-style com 'elote: sooo good too! A little messier to eat since it comes drizzled with spicy hot sauce butter, feta, lime aioli, cilantro, though totally worth it! - Desserts: --green tea matcha churros: comes with two little pots of spiced mexican chocolate & passion fruit sauce. There was a delay in the middle of our meal I think bc kitchen was slammed, after the entree we waited about 35 min for our desserts. Considering they limited the seating to 2 hours and about half of our party arrived 20 min late, and accounting for the long wait pre-dessert, they did us solid by extending our table time by about an hour in total. He was so kind and warm and genuinely treated us like he knew us personally, which added so much to the cozy, homey vibe of the place. The space itself is really cute -- perfect lighting with red tones, exposed brick walls, and such an intimate, inviting atmosphere. We ordered the charcuterie board and it was one of the best I've ever had. It was packed with an incredible variety of meats and cheeses and was more than enough to generously feed our table of four. At a lot of wine bars, I leave still feeling unsatisfied, but this one was filling and so well done. I had the Riesling and it was amazing -- the perfect balance of sweet and dry. And the real star of the show was the grilled cheese with ragù. So delicious. I'm from LA, but we will absolutely be back every time we're in Brooklyn. Highly recommend & cannot say enough about this place! It was one of the highlights of our trip :)

Perfectly cooked and a wonderful balance of flavors with the smoked salmon, poaches eggs, and yogurt. The lemon ricotta pancakes and shakshuka were also big hits with the group. They offer brunch alcoholic drinks in pitchers which is convenient to share with the table. The space is huge and tastefully decorated with dozens of real plants. Great place for big groups. There was a live jazz with a vocalist playing which added to the high energy. It got a bit loud at times, but we were seated right next to the stage. Our servers were also so accommodating and funny when we had very staggered arrivals and various allergies at the table.

The space is so beautiful but since I came here for the happy hour, I was very disappointed with limited options. A cocktail flight of 3x for $20 is okay, but Im also not trying to get drunk at 5pm. $6 for a cocktail would have been preferred. Also the drinks are too sweet and I only liked one of them. The bartenders were nice, but it wasn't the spot for me solo. Maybe a date.
