Pros: - lots of outdoor seating - service was nice - food came quickly The food was the only part that underwhelmed. We got the crispy Brussels, the beyond burger, and the Mac and cheese. None were bad, just none were that great - the Brussels were slightly undercooked and the burger was a bit underwhelming for being $19. My wife and I had our weddings after party here. We really wanted somewhere that was in our neighborhood that we frequently went to. The Elder Greene crew crushed it! Four stars for their outdoor dining set up. One of the best spots for casual drinks outdoors in Greenpoint. This was one of the few places where I was actually too warm in my puffer jacket after being seated there. They have 2 heaters per table which I think is the key, and you can even control the heat setting (1-3) at your table. I appreciated that the door was left wide open so there was still sufficient airflow (and not just an outdoor greenhouse). The hot toddy I got was a bit too strong for my tastes, but I heard rave reviews for their frozen drinks from the table next to us. The tater tots were nice - nothing to write home about but exactly what you'd want out of tater tots. read more

This is a great place to order beer on tap and other drinks. The downfall is food. If you want to enjoy bar food this is a subpar place considering the neighborhood. We ordered the burger and fries which was ok. The burger has a nice sauce with pickles. The side of fries is mediocre. Do not order the the chicken poppers. It was such a disappointment. one of the best places in greenpoint! My friends and I got the frozen frosé, which was excellent! Their lemonade was splendid. Someone ordered the frozen margarita and was not a fan, I tried it. Also did not enjoy. We ordered popcorn chicken, a chicken sandwich, broccolini, and a vegetable medley. We all loved our food, it was absolutely delicious!! Good food, lovely decor but..... Sadly, the lone server is absimal. Her lack of attention is below standards & also the management of this establishment is to blame. Being short staff is no excuse to ignore the customer & even less have an attitude when asked to do the most basic tasks. The establishment was not full & it's the second time dealing with this particular server which lacks the concept of being a server. Unfortunately this reason, I dont recommend this place. We had a private event at Elder Greene on a Friday night for a "Welcome Event" for our wedding weekend. Tali was amazing in the lead up to our event answering all of our questions. The Elder Greene team was great on the day of, quickly serving drinks and constantly bringing out plates of food. The mozzarella sticks were such a hit, definitely add those to your order. The space was really nice, with ample room inside and then lots of additional space outside. We can't recommend having a private event at Elder Greene enough!! read more
