I walked in not knowing what I was walking into, it's very hidden and that turned out to be part of its charm. I had a wonderful brunch of tea, eggs, salad, and toast finished with an espresso on the weekend and was so impressed. I came back for Takeaway dinner. The next two nights the service was very attentive and I felt well taken care of. It felt like a European pub and I was in heaven. The only complaint I would have is for it to not use Fabuloso for cleaning. It just had a hint of it and my nose can smell it.
Great ambiance and atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Visited twice thus far while in the area and they do not disappoint. I have tried a few things on the menu and have enjoyed it all. I highly recommend the Arancini Risotto Balls. They are made with a kale pesto and are delicious! I am far from a vegetable or kale guy, but these are really good. The fried kale "chips" with it are pretty good too. Great spot if you in the area.
Came here on a Friday night with a last min reservation for 10 people made on Thursday. They were able to fit us in which was great! This place has a very nice cozy vibe to it. The rustic ambiance really elevates the experience and makes me want to just come back for a drink. I had the pickle back fried chicken sandwich with the old bay fries and a paloma to sip on. The sandwich was crunchy and delicious but the buns really held it back. It tasted almost like store bought buns? Drinks were really tasty. I got to try my partners chai espresso martini as well and that was also very good. Cocktails were def curated well. Service was also friendly and food came out promptly
Host was friendly and sat us without reservations on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. Server was great too. We had a dirty vodka martini (tasty) and a mezcal old fashioned (hubby liked, said slightly watery). Shared grilled cheese and tomato soup. That was great!! Loved the soup. Very tomato-y. And the sandwich was super crispy. Also had a burger that was delicious. Added bacon and the fries are very good too. Not overly old bay but just right and crispy. Shared the crumble (apple) it was good but mine is better lol. All around good night. Cool spot. Music in the background but not blasting. Low lights and chill ambiance.

It's a cool place overall if you're coming to grab a drink. People working there are super friendly and chat you up. They have fun concoctions like banana old fashioned and a large beverage menu including sangria, beer, wine and quite a few non alcoholic options. I ordered a mac and cheese burger which apparently they're known for, however it's just not my jam. It's very greasy and over seasoned. If you really love American food then you might like it! I wish I ordered something else as their menu is vast. Next time!
I ordered delivery. The heirloom kale caesar salad was delicious. The kale was crunchy and fresh. It was loaded with croutons, onions, and rich cheese. It was filling and flavorful. I also enjoyed the cherry tomato pizza. It had a very thin crust with perfectly baked tomatoes and fresh basil. They offer personal size pies with four slices, as well as larger, shareable 12 inch pies. For dessert, I had the french toast fritters. An order included four fritter balls, which were stuffed with nutella and raspberry jam. The combination of flavors almost tasted like caramel. The fritters were served with whipped cream and were very tasty. I will definitely order from here again.

You can also sit next to your person as opposed to across the table. I enjoyed my Hanger steak and fries. Finally a restaurant who knows how to cook steak medium! I loved the chimichurri as a topping. That really set it off. Idk if I'm greedy or what but I still wanted more of it so my date let me order the same meal to go! He also enjoyed his sandwich. Of course I had to try some of his lol it was a little salty but I still I liked it. I'm a toppings girl so I think the aioli sauce with the pickle back slaw gave it the flavor. For drinks, I got the Southerner which was pretty good but my date got a Whisky Sour and THAT was phenomenal. Not on the menu but I loved it better than what I got! We were seated right away which was perfect. Our waitress was cool too. All in all, I'd recommend.
Worst value for happy hour in the city. $8 for 1/2 a martini and $2 off the French fries. While the food is good, the service was abhorrent. It took longer to get our first round of drinks than it took for the food to come out. After our second round of drinks, asked for our check and the server walked away and never came back. Had to ask another server for the check again.

All the dishes we got were great but there were definitely some stand outs. The Mac and cheese burger was yummy but with the "bread" being Mac and cheese it's impossible to hold it like a burger so you have to deconstruct it. I almost wish it was a Mac burger bowl. The mushroom pizza was a favorite as well with very fresh flavor and good seasoning. Finally, the blueberry crumble is a must try- absolutely out of this world! It was perfectly warm, tart, sweet and topped off with a dollop of ice cream. Our server was also incredibly kind and helpful. The prices were reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend trying them out!

Found this great intimate spot on Bedford Ave & North 11th St. in Williamsburg by accident and was certainly the best accident ever. The Bedford has great ambiance with incredible food and drink menu, however what set this apart from all others in area was their staff. The entire duration each staff made us feel as if we're the only ones there though the place was fairly full. They definitely took much pride with their hospitality showing so much passion while being attentive to all our needs. We initially thought maybe an hour or so for cocktails and small bites turned out to be 3 hours of pure enjoyment. This spot checks off all essentials to being great. I urge all if in the area to pay The Bedford a visit. It's truly a can't miss. read more
I felt like the food was very average. The stuffed French toast was good. However, I feel like that's something that is always good, and this one certainly didn't go above and beyond. The breakfast burrito was also very standard, with nothing blowing me away. Overall, I would not return, considering how many other good options are in the immediate area. I am making this from inside of the restaurant that's how good it is. I had the steak and fries my mom had the same but with a salad, IT WAS SOO GOOD like so well seasoned and flavorful, even the salad and fries were seasoned. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Worst value for happy hour in the city. $8 for 1/2 a martini and $2 off the French fries. While the food is good, the service was abhorrent. It took longer to get our first round of drinks than it took for the food to come out. After our second round of drinks, asked for our check and the server walked away and never came back. We happen to be in the area & stopped by, noticed that they were still serving brunch which was cool since we were not expecting that. we were seated right away, drinks I had the Winter sangria it was good, nice taste hubby had Junipero good as well both strong we had a nice buzz by the time we left. Food we tried the Risotto balls aka arancini they were so good, great tasting pesto sauce. Main dish were the Lemon Ricotta pancakes, yumm they were delicious great taste combination with the chantilly cream no real need for the syrup , it was just right without it & not crazy sweet. The place has kind of a laid back vibe, industrial type decor. Service was good, decent prices & nice music playing we had a good last minute brunch. read more

Confusing place as there were 2 different menus? The vibe inside wasn't for me, a bit too dark for a daytime meal, but probably better for nighttime! The food was pretty good. Started off with the arancini which were DELICIOUS, very warm, savory, and the sauce was great. I would get this as my main if it came with 6 LOL. After, i got the ALT as my main meal. It was good, nothing crazy as in I could make it myself, but still very tasty!! The salad was meh, I didn't eat it, but that is just my personal preference. Our waiter was very nice, attentive, and pretty quick! Overall, this place was good but did not blow my mind. read more
When my boyfriend and I arrived at The Bedford, there was a line by the entrance. They seemed to have a system where people waited outside for a first come first serve situation to talk to a host. When it was our turn, we realized that we possibly didn't have to wait if we just wanted to sit outdoors, which is where we ended up sitting at. The heat lamp was turned on for us, but it was still pretty chilly. We ordered their mac n cheese burger (comes with fries) and their buttermilk fried chicken and waffles. After ordering the food, it took a long time to come. I could hear the people two tables away complaining that they were starving as well. The food was good and really filling. The mac n cheese burger was really unique and the "buns" were actually mac and cheese. However, towards the end of the meal as I got less hungry, I found the burger and fries to be on the saltier side. When we received the bill, we noticed a $1.60 charge for "non cash fee". We weren't informed of the fee prior to receiving the bill either so we weren't given an option to use cash instead. Overall, this is a decent spot for food with a fairly long wait. read more

First, let me say these apple martini's were absolutely amazing!!! I could've easily had 10 of these! I originally stopped in to try the burrata pizza and ended up sharing the hanger steak instead. Great choice!!! read more

Had the plank burger which was super juicy, nothing to complain about because it wasn't anything crazy exciting. The fries were thick but crispy and covered in old bay seasoning. The Mac and cheese cheese burger was thickkk and hard to bite into. Definitely a heavier burger without any veggies on it but tasty nonetheless. The food did take forever to come out, at least 25-30 minutes I would say, but they have a tiny kitchen so just beware of that! read more

I came here last night and it was perfect and cozy. We weren't even supposed to come here. I was supposed to go to another restaurant that invited me there, but they lost my reservation... on my birthday . the truffle mac & cheese and fish tacos were delicious and the service was incredible. i feel bad because we came here 9 PM and the restaurant curfew is 10 PM but we ate and we were out by 10. the waitress was really good and answered all our questions and we still had time for dessert. the alcoholic drinks were delicious and strong. their drunken cookie for dessert was to die for. thank you for accommodating us. we needed somewhere to go last night and i'm glad we came here. i would go back read more
Review #600-I found about this place via Instagram. I saw the Mac n Cbeese burger and instantly knew I had to try it out. Came on a Friday night and it wasn't overly crowded, but I didn't See any seating available and decided to take to go. I placed my order and waited outside for awhile, emphasis on awhile. I was told it would be 15-20 minutes, but it felt like double that. I observed the staff cleaning all the tables after each person left, in case you were concerned how they were handling the Covid precautions. The food itself was okay. I did like the burger, as it was flavorful, but maybe I was expecting a little more for an almost $30 burger. While my intent was to go for the burger, I wound up enjoying their fries much more. They were seasoned to perfection. Overall, I was happy with the product, but maybe not so much with the price point and the waiting period. read more

I came here with two friends, it was the first stop on our way bar hopping through Williamsburg, we actually went somewhere else we didnt liked and just walked in a random direction till we found this place. everything was delicious we had the soft shell crab sandwich, shrimp scampi pizza, chicken parm sliders, sautéed super greens, and a seasonal flat bread. We were so full when we left and we love that the menu has seasonal option, everything was so fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful Well definitely be back to try the fall menu/ desserts, would have tried the desserts last time but we were seriously so full, good portion size for the prices. read more

Always my go to spot when I'm craving grilled cheese and tomato soup for take out or dinning in. They have tasty bar/American food and specialty cocktails. They have an interesting chai martini on the menu, sadly I wasn't able to try it because they were out of the chai needed to make the drink. Service is quick and efficient. Hubby found this place on Instagram. The food looked pretty damn amazing. We ordered the chicken parm sliders. We expected them to be a little bigger. The garlic bread could have been softer, or fresher. The chicken parm pizza was good, but it literally had a chicken parm in the middle cut in 4 pieces. The entire pizza wasn't covered in chicken, which is what you would expect. The regular cheese pizza was good, but the crust was soft and floppy. You couldn't fold it and eat it. The food was good, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. If you're in the area, try it...but don't go out of your way too. read more

Are you ready for the 411? Here we go...we have been here several times for brunch and dinner. It's more comfort food and has always been delicious. I have even stopped here to pick up dinner for the family. The staff if courteous and always give great customer service. I have never seen it overly crowded but just enough that it's not loud. After a day of shopping or just walking around Williamsburg this is a nice spot to just relax and enjoy. read more

This place is a must try! Each item had a variety of blends and flavors unique to each's name. Nice dimmed lights, calm setting, great for Brunch or dinner I had a wonderful experience, everyone was kind & the wait time was pretty quick! read more

Yes, but we only run the scotch egg burger as a special seasonally. Right now we have a Mac and cheese burger where the Mac and cheese is the bun!!!
