My wife and I have mixed feelings about our first time to Zinburger. My wife absolutely loved the veggie patty. She loved the texture since there was a little crispy element to it and a chewiness to it. She is on a veggie patty kick after going there which is a bit of a shock to me. I built my own burger and Iu wasn't much of a fan of the place. It wasn't bad by any means but it was just a. Little disappointing. I know your first thought might be I choose poorly in how I built it but I just made a bacon cheeseburger. Again, it wasn't bad but it was also nothing special. Overall, we'll be back simply because my wife is absolutely in love with that veggie patty and I am so sick of Mexican (she wants that everyday) that I would take this any day just so I can take a break. Stopped in for happy hour on the patio .. great service.. consistently good food.. on today's visit I had the wedge salad .. all the ingredients from a wedge salad but chopped up in a bowl .. it was exactly what i was hoping for .. crunchy iceberg lettuce with creamy dressing & blue cheese crumbles. Not the healthiest salad but it was good!! The crispy buttermilk chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and sriracha ranch on that buttery bun was average size, you definitely want to add a side salad or fries.. the flavors were spot on. My students and I were talking about best burger places in Gilbert. I am are always looking for a great burger. We were definitely not disappointed by Zinburger. My wife got the build your own with fried egg and I got a double classic diner burger. Mine was super juicy and delicious although I wish they would have given me more fries. My wife called hers "the best burger she's ever had in her life" which is high praise. She also said the fried egg was cooked perfectly. The only thing we were disappointed about was the zucchini fries, which weren't great at all. We are looking forward to trying the sweet potato fries next time. Bravo Zinburger! It's been years now since I've written a negative review (I don't like negativity), however, I need to alert other Yelpers about my recent experience here over the weekend. This is my usual go-to spot for healthier burgers and also some sweet potato fries to share with my 2-year old boy. Over the weekend, I took my sister and my son here to grab an early lunch, around 11:30 AM. The place wasn't packed but there were plenty of people inside and a few people seated outside on their patio. We got seated right away and I already suggested the California Burger Bowl for my sister to try so we knew exactly what we were going to order the moment they brought out the high chair for my son. We got our order in at around 11:35 AM. 20 minutes later my sister's Burger Bowl came out along with my Wedge Salad. But no sweet potato fries for my son. That's okay, we figured they would come out shortly thereafter. Another 10 minutes passed, we are now at about 12:05 PM, I asked our waitress as she was scuffling by taking other new customer orders, if she could check on the fries for my son. She said, "Sure, no problem." Another 10 minutes passed and she has been avoiding our table, I noticed she was almost walking around the perimeter to ask other tables how they were doing (I'm pretty sure she felt my impatient energy when I asked her to check). Another 2 minutes pass by and I grab my son and walk over to the kitchen doors where the hostess was standing and asked her to check on my son's sweet potato fries order please. By the time we walked back to our table, our waitress rushed over and dropped the sweet potato fries onto the table and said, "I just grabbed it fresh out of the kitchen." They're piping hot at this point, and my toddler is quite hungry, so I ask him to wait as I let some of them cool before letting him grab them. He started eating quite a few quickly. I told my sister to try them because their yogurt sauce there is amazing with the fries. We both took a bite and noticed how incredibly over-salted the fries were. So now, I'm watching my son eat EXTREMELY salty fries as I rush and try to scrape off the salt from each fry before handing him one by one (I didn't want to ask them to make us a new batch because with a toddler we don't have another 30 minutes to wait for a side order). So by the time the waitress finally came back to our table as my sister finished her meal (I barely ate my salad due to helping my son scrape off salt off of each fry and feeding it to him), I told her I was very disappointed in the customer service today and the fries are extremely salty. She apologized and had her manager come out to apologize to me and also let me know they took it off our bill. I almost ignored the guy due to how infuriated I was and I did not want to cause a scene. I paid the bill and left, no issues. We get to the car and my 2-year old keeps crying and pointing at his mouth, his lips were cut up from how salty those fries were. And when we got home that day, his energy was completely off since he ate those fries. That evening, my son had a fever of over 101 degrees and ended up vomiting ALL of those fries out and crying hysterically. Now, I needed to tend to my son period, but a thought did cross my mind that he was completely healthy and normal that day up until he ate those horrendous fries. As "good" as the burger bowl and the yogurt sauce for fries here are, I would not recommend coming here if you're not prepared for subpar service and possible food poisoning. They are lucky I do not have the patience or the capacity to file a lawsuit. This is my kid we're talking about here, and that is serious to me. read more

Nom nom nom. What a nice place with amazing burgers! I really love this area, there are so many cute restaurants, and this place is one of the best burger restaurants around this area. Since the weather was really nice, we sat outside and there was a heater, so it was even nicer. We had El diablo (burger with spicy sauce and veggies) and California burger bowl (literally a bowl, no buns, and it tastes healthy somehow), and double truffle fries. I immediately fell in love with all of em, especially El diablo was really good, patty was thick and flavorful and the sauce... this is the bomb! Oof. Had to wait over 10 minutes in a practically empty restaurant to be greeted. Watched people being immediately served as they sat down like normal. Speaking of practically empty, in spite of the plentiful tables, they seated people on top of each other. We couldn't have been more than 18 inches apart from our fellow diners on either side. Really happy with my dinner at Zinburger! I ordered the west coast burger with crispy chicken and I asked for some chipotle mayo on the side since I wanted something a little spicier. It was definitely a good move; the chipotle mayo was really good and the chicken burger was great- very crispy but not overly oily or anything. My parents ordered the El Diablo and the veggie burger and they both enjoyed them, so would definitely recommend these three. Only thing about this place that would make me give it a lower rating (4 not 5 stars) was their fries portion sizes. The small size is quite small - most restaurants give you more fries than that for a single order when it's included with the burger. We got regular and sweet potato fries and they were good but just be aware that it's not a lot of fries! Overall I enjoyed and I would go back! read more

Being gluten-free, I always opt for the California Burger Bowl (CBB) and eat some of my wife's sweet potato fries because they're so good! The CBB comes in a bowl with Avocado, Griddled Sweet Potato, Roasted Mushroom, Caramelized Onion, Brussels Sprouts, Brown Rice, and Quinoa! If that sounds amazing, it's because it IS amazing! I had the bowl and asked for the burger to be medium rare. It was pretty well done but I did not complain. Also there were no mushrooms. My favorite burger joint! The flavor, aroma, and texture of the burgers here are fire! My burger of choice: the famous zinburger, of course! They also have some of the best tasting sweet potato fries! Thin, crispy, and just right! We sent it back immediately and proceeded to eat our meal. 15 minutes pass (yes I was watching the clock) and it finally arrived after we were finished. We had to take his meal home to go, as we were done with our meals and he didn't want to make us sit there waiting for him. The manager that brought the meal out was not apologetic. They all love their burgers except I ordered the bowl burger which I regret. Came in a bowl of quinoa, burnt Brussels sprouts, sweet yams and burger meat. It was so bad, after a few bites. I bit on raw quinoa and hurt the back of my tooth. It was so painful that I just kept quite the whole night. The bowl burger is not worth ordering or eating. The taste was burnt and dry. We have stopped in here several times now and it is quickly becoming our go-to happy hour spot in Gilbert. It has to be one of the best deals for happy hour and it is delicious. They have a small but decent tap list (all half off from 3-6pm) and quite a good looking wine list. There is also a great selection of happy hour food items, our favorite being their small burgers, the zucchini fries, and the sweet potato fries! You also cannot forget the milkshakes, which are always a big hit with our kids! The first couple times we went we were not impressed with the service and it had us doubting whether we wanted to come back. Friends and I were in Downtown Gilbert for a birthday, and they had never been to Zinburger so we popped in. I am a huge Zinburger fan, but had never been to this location even though it's super close to my home. Initially, they told us it would be a 45 minute wait but we were seated within 15 minutes as a party of 7, with no reservation, at 5:30pm on a Saturday. 2 members of our party were running late so we ordered a few rounds of drinks. Most servers would be annoyed that an entire party wasn't there, but our server was so great! He was patient and super attentive, and if he was annoyed, he never let it show. Fast forward 45 minutes and the remaining members of our party show up. We get our orders in and the food comes out quickly. We ordered a couple of orders of sweet potato fries and zucchini fries to share, and we all built our own burgers. I ordered my burger with smoked mozzarella, avocado, mushrooms, lettuce and tomato. Our waiter then had my friend pick out a dessert (he picked a cookies and cream milkshake) and brought it out to him on the house, as gift from Zinburger.
