My wife started going to Zen Well while she was pregnant approximately a year ago. After she had such a great experience I quickly wanted to try them out and now I have probably been 15 or so times and have nothing but great things to say. I have seen several therapists and all were fantastic but Suzie has really stuck out. I've had nearly a dozen appointments with her and she is one of the best masseurs I have ever been to. I have probably had 200+ massages ranging from deep tissue, trigger point, sports, relaxation, and Thai and yet Suzie's style really stands out. She gives off a very relaxing and caring vibe during massage and it really helps me subconsciously loosen up. Something about Thai massage you should know is it is more stretching than a normal rub out the muscle traditional massage. Personally I like my therapist to really beat me up so I didn't think I would be a fan of Thai. But somehow Suzie is able to achieve the same results without the normal hard pressure. It's really impressive! I strongly recommend Zen Well and I encourage people to go see Suzie! Also as far as the facility goes it is fantastic. The rooms are quiet, comfotable, dark, and overall very chill. They have great music playing and you get so comfortable it is hard to get up and go home. 5 star experience... absolutely. read more

This is my second review which means that I can't say enough great things about Zen Well. The prices, service and therapists are wonderful ! Tara gave me 30 minutes massage for a chronic headache I have had for for 4 days during the holidays. She had stayed late just for me to accomodate a last minute appointment. The massage was so therapeutic that I made another one with her! She worked on my shoulders, neck and scalp. It was amazing. I also bought another massage for my boyfriend too. Thank you Zen Well for having such amazing massage therapists. Tara and Bri have both given me massages and they have been very kind, compassionate and so thoughtful on top of being extremely talented and skilled at what they do! Austin just got even better now that Zen Well is here! I saw the grand opening special and went because I had never had a Thai massage or foot reflexology before. I absolutely loved both. The Thai massage felt amazing. There was something she did with my IT band that was heaven. The foot reflexology blew my mind because she actually knew things about me by working on my feet. She hit a few points that were surprisingly painful, but she told me I could tell her if I wanted less pressure. I really like the space, too. It's kindof hidden away in south austin and it feels like a peaceful place and a supportive group of people. I will definitely go back and won't have to wait too long because the prices are affordable. I really hope lots of people visit Zen Well because I want it to stay!! This place is a delight. Here are some of the high points: Friendly helpful staff Affordable prices Clean Relaxing atmosphere Wonderful massages by experienced and knowledgeable staff Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The Thai massage was so wonderful. I am a rock climber and this was a great way to really get some work done on my sore and knotted muscles. On top of that the place is very clean, and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Oh and the tea they give you afterwards is delicious! It is also good to see small businesses supporting each other. I noticed in the front room that ZenWell sells oils that help with various things like allergies, stress, etc. and locally made candles. I will definitely be going for another visit soon. read more

I have tried all of their services now and the staff is highly skilled. I was very impressed with the level of knowledge and training of the staff here. I have had a thai massage and there is nothing else like it! I have pretty bad lower back issues and the stretching along with massage has been very relieving. I have personally experienced all the treatments at Zen Well and have to say that each is extremely relaxing, leaving you in a great mood. I had a great experience on the chair massage, which is my favorite of all the massages available. My massage therapist, Jeff was great with the lower back region and knew how to apply the perfect pressure, keeping it comfortable and effective. He was humble and asked me if the pressure was okay throughout the massage. He did a good job at making sure that the clients are comfortable! Before receiving the treatment at Zen Well, I never had a massage before, because I thought I never needed one. Little did I know that I would benefit from it so much. I have been there several times for a reflexology foot and hand massage. I've been very pleased with the service. Today, however, I had the pleasure of getting my treatment from Chandra. SHE IS DA BOMB! I left there with my hands and feet feeling better than they have felt in years. The setting is tranquil and soothing. The staff is helpful. I don't think you can go wrong. I had scheduled a reflexology appointment and hurt my back the day before. I asked to split the time between reflexology and chair massage. My therapist did so, without hesitation. I live on the north side of town, but will make the trek to south Austin to luxuriate in the services offered by Zen Well. I have experienced almost all of the offerings (still need to try the infared sauna), and highly recommend the Thai massage. In the height of cedar fever season, the facial massage does wonders for the sinuses, especially with the Breathe Well add on. I have had the pleasure of receiving treatments from various massage therapists. Each one takes the time to listen and focus on your needs. My personal favorite is Chandra. Her energy and mine just click. She knows how to really get in there and hit those points and muscles that make my whole body feel amazing. I have chronic pain in my legs and hips, and the stretches that open up my hips allow me to be pain free for days after an appointment. (This is a big deal!) The spa is very clean and quiet. The receptionist is friendly and willing to help you with your first time putting on the provided Thai pants. I am a person of larger size, so I just always make sure to wear sweat pants and a comfy t shirt for my sessions. I love that the chair massages, facial massages, and hand/foot reflexology massages are in a larger open space. This was most excellent when I took my partner for a massage date or when my bestie and I had a "spa" day. It was very quiet except for the ambient nature music and the waterfall fountain. The therapists move like a ballet from one side to the other in sync with each other as we both enjoyed the reflexology massage. Then went off to curtained off rooms for the Thai massage portion. This is not a completely passive massage. You will be moved into various positions and have compression on the right muscles before stretching them out. The best thing to do is be limp like a doll and let the therapist guide you. And mostly... ENJOY! The only thing that would make this place better... A frequent customer program, like 10 40 min Thai massages then a free session in the sauna. read more

This was my second Thai massage with Lydia. Both were amazing! The first was my first Thai massage and she did a great job introducing me to a new massage experience that I now love! My second one was this past Sunday and I told her about an incident a few days prior where my large dog (Akita mix) took off after a rabbit in a field and basically took me air-born to the ground resulting in a lot of soreness. She adapted my massage accordingly and really helped in the healing process from my fall. She stroked my lymphatic system lightly along with the massage and I really felt the difference over the following 24 to 48 hours after the massage. read more

This place is awesome, I wish I had found it sooner, as I'm leaving Austin in a month.... The previous place I went to offered the typical massages but this place seems way more special & relaxing. The level of "zen" in the main room is perfect...high ceiling, lighting is good, the decoration is beautiful & modern, feels very clean, the sound system made me imagine being mountain side in Thailand, and I almost fell asleep multiple times which never happens to me in public places, or during other massages. I only got the 20 min facial massage and 40 mins hand & foot reflexology, but I want to come back to try the Thai massage soon. Those cabanas look very inviting! I wish I could have stayed longer and just slept there, like you can in a Korean bath house. I know how expensive Austin property is, and I hope this place grows so that they can expand into a larger building because they deserve it! Front desk girl was great, the guy who did my massage was great, highly recommend giving them a try. The prices are good for the level of quality here. My only suggestion to the owner would be to take down the "please tip well" sign, but not a big deal considering most people are probably cheap and don't realize . read more

This is the best massage experience that I have ever had. I got the taste of everything package. It was total bliss. The Hydro bed was cool and relaxes the body and the mind. On to the foot massage in a really awesome chair - a good foot massage is hard to find. Most therapists undervalue the importance of the feet and spend little time on them, leaving you wanting for more. But I was limp after my session. And slithered over to the chair massage. My lower back is always so tight and the chair gives the therapist the right amount of leverage to go really deep with out too much sharp elbow. And they save the best for last. The Thai Yoga Massage. I felt two inches taller. My whole body was happy. Not one inch of me felt neglected. It is a very intimate massage. Not for sissies. If you suffer from back pain like I do, this is the best thing you could do for yourself. I don't know how I could give up any one piece of this package. I loved them all. read more

Just had wonderful services at Zen Well. I had a 40 minute chair massage followed by a 60 minute Thai massage. It was fantastic. This was my first Thai massage and I really enjoyed it. I get massages often and have lots of experience with different types of massage. Thai massage is very interesting.... Really helped me with various tight areas. Zen Well is a beautiful environment.... They have done a superb job with the interior. A nice little surprise in a rather run of the mill commercial strip. You are transported to a relaxation mecca once inside. I worked with Tara tonight, who did a masterful job of working with my troublesome body. I think the prices are remarkably affordable. We get massages occasionally - we have gone to Zen Well for Thai massage over the last few months and have loved it. We have only gone back to our previous stand-by because Zen was booked once when we wanted to go... but Zen is definitely our top choice! I am totally a fan of this new massage place. I've been getting table massages for years, and while I enjoy them I didn't know what I was missing from a Thai massage. After my 40 min foot reflexology massage, I stayed in my thai pants (they provided, and they're super comfortable) and added on to my package last minute a 40-min thai massage. Amy Z was my masseuse and she actually worked on the front of my body to losen my upper back and shoulders which I have not had done before. Usually after a night's sleep after a table massage, my neck and back tighten back up. This morning I woke up and still had the full range of motion that I left Zen Well with yesterday and I was not sore at all though I felt like I got a deep massage when I was there. I left feeling stretched, but not beaten up and relaxed rather than sore. That was pretty exciting for me! Aside from the massage itself, this place has a beautifully decorated interior, a friendly and knowledgable staff, and some of the best tea I have tasted in a while (for free!). I also couldn't help myself and ended up buying a few of their items they sell at the front like the lavender flak seed cool eye mask and a chocolate candle that smells like heaven. And for the germophobes and the ladies who always want to know, the bathroom was very clean, and the staff uses antibacterial sanitizers constantly. I got out of the place with two different 40 minute massages plus tip, a candle and the eye mask for under $100. I have a feeling they're going to need to open several locations once Austin catches wind of this! read more

I've been to Zen Well twice this week - I'm pregnant and overdue, and our midwives suggested acupuncture but I'm a little squeamish about the needles so decided to try reflexology plus massage instead. Both experiences were excellent, the first with Suzie and the second with Jeff. I'd happily go back to either of them. The facilities are clean and sleek with the most comfortable chairs, and the prices are great compared with other massages I've had. (I've been to Viva Day Spa twice, and had a great experience thereto, but at a much higher price.) I also really like that you stay clothed here (in your own clothes or their loose "Thai pants" and top), which just makes the whole thing slightly less intimate (a good thing for me at this point in pregnancy). Had my second massage here today. My therapist was Tara and she was terrific . I had a lot of stress built up in my neck and shoulders and she was able to release it all for me. I also had hand and foot reflexology which is such a great service. So relaxing and enjoyable. My first visit found me working with Laci. I went in for that appointment just for relaxation without specific tensions. This too was a very lovely massage. I usually just enjoy the Thai massage and the stretching, which is always great, but this experience raised the bar. I let Josh know about a bad wrist and hip and I feel so much better. This was my first time going to ZenWell, I don't often get massages. The place was clean, they have lockers where you can store your belongings, it was quiet and almost no distractions like noises or lights and the price is fair. The restroom looked clean as well. I had a chair massage with Dawn and she was fantastic, the right pressure in the right spots. I will go back, maybe I'll try a Thai massage next time. :) read more
