I grew up in Asia and thought I was spoiled for having access to good, cheap massages. I'm so glad I have this spot in my neighborhood. This is the best spot for a strong massage. I've been going here for years, and every therapist has been excellent in working out my aches and knotted muscles. It's not a spa, so don't expect a fancy experience. I schedule a couples massage on the 15th for my husband and myself for 4pm. I asked for the couples massage listed on their website (a special) for $129. This was confirmed via a text. I left before my husband, leaving him to pay. He was charged $200. He also left a $40 total tip. When I realized that he paid more than the service we asked for, I went back in to discuss the discrepancy. They confirmed they had us down for a 90 min massage which is why they charged $200. I understand a mix up but I had clearly (in writing and then again as I checked in) asked for the $129 massage. I asked for the $70 difference back. They agreed to do that and took my Venmo (though I paid on cc) to refund the $. I have yet to see a refund. I've reached out via text (this is how I scheduled the appointment) to get an update and they have ignored my messages. I got the 60 minute full body. I made an appointment. Started on time. Paid in cash. The building is basic as can be. But, I'm reviewing the massage- not the building. The massage was 5 stars! The massage was deep- deep tissue. He walked on my back. I heard so many crack, snaps, and pops...I didn't even know my body could make noise like that. The massage was ahhhhhhh maze zing! Wish I would have done the 80 minutes. You get the full hour. Lots of pressure work. Lots of pull/push. Little lotion work. He did not speak a lot of English, but again I'm not there to make friends. I have been here 3x now and have gotten a different person each time, but I am not complaining! $30 for an hr to make it hurt so good at the hands of the muscle relaxing magicians here...yes and please sir, may I have another? Their $30 massage consists of you being fulling clothed and taken to a curtained off quasi-room where you remove your shoes, roll up your pant legs, and lay face-up in a quasi-bed/recliner with your feet hanging off the end so that they can soak in water while your head, face, shoulders, and arms are massaged for 15mins. Then, it is 30mins of footbliss as they reflexology the Qui outta you and your footies, calves, and legs. You then flip over and it is 15mins of back/leg work with a scalp and neck massage. The people here are so nice and they always check in with you during your massage to make sure you are comfortable and that the pressure is to your preference. Personally, I like a deep massage, if I am not sore the next day, I feel jilted. Everytime I have come here I have left feeling like a human noodle with the sweet ache of an awesome deep tissue massage the next day. I have never had a problem getting in (most I've had to wait was 10mins) and can usually just call ahead the day of and they have accommodated me. I have happy feet right now! Husband and I were at Lakeline on our usual jaunt to get a foot massage but both places were booked with wait times. We drove back to our hood and decided to stop by here so we could try them out. $20 for a 30 min back or foot massage was so amazingly relaxing! As a massage is supposed to be quiet you time, i like that they have curtain dividers to give you your own personal space rather than meshing you with strangers that you may sit next to side by side. The foot massage was the same as other asian massage places I've been before, hot water soak, but they incorporate a 5 min free (while your feet soak) time of head and shoulder rub, sooooo relaxing. Absolutely my and husband's favorite part!!! They also throw a towel over your eyes so you can have the shut eye of not having to stare at your masseuse working on you. My leggings I wore were super tight and I felt bad that the guy was trying to roll my pants back down at the end but he was very polite and courteous! We tipped $22 for our $40 massage. $40 on the card and tip in cash, they deserve it and we can't wait for our next visit! read more

I know some places I would go too, would take like 5-10 mins getting/returning the water bucket and hot stones. I took 1 star off because some of the massage wasn't used with lotions. I thought I was getting the 90 min foot reflexology package (letter D) and not until I was done and feeling like my feet didn't get what I was expecting did I realize they were actually doing F. Be sure to make your requests by letter and not time or body area of focus, I think their lack of english did not allow that to translate when I called for my appointment and they did not ask any questions or explain anything when they took me back. So I got to pay more and my feet got minimal attention. I didn't think to ask anything during as I was trying to relax and enjoy it all but you know what they say about hindsight. As I was paying I saw they had a chart where you could choose areas that are sensitive or to focus on and your pressure choice but that was never presented to me, I was just taken back to get started. I had surgery on my shoulder two months ago and still did not have much flexibility, and had soreness in several areas. Jack was able to put his finger on the sore areas without me even telling him where to go. As he was working on me, I would say "Yes, that's it right there!" and he would say "I know, I can tell.." The next day I had much better flexibility. Jack is also a good natured and humorous guy. Though his English is still limited, it didn't prevent me from getting the best massage of my life. I even went back to him 2 days later and afterwards the table massage, he put me in his massage chair to get a better angle on my shoulder. He is thorough and generous. I've been going to Foot massage on Mesa for about 10 years (on and off). Being there has always been a pleasant experience: friendly staff, clean rooms, pleasant music. Most importantly great massages. I've never had a bad massage - one that was too much or too little pressure. The masseuses ask at the beginning, check during sessions, and adjust the pressure well. They know where and how to address tight muscles I personally like deep tissue massage. Joe is the best deep tissue massage therapist I have ever had. I'm on the older side not, but used to be a physical therapist who gave quite a few massages. This place is excellent in my opinion. read more

I stopped in based on reviews. I am known for a good Thai massage and know more or less what I am getting into. They are the kind of place where you get what you paid for. This review is based solely on my experience. Not in comparison with any other massage place similar in the area. However. Do not come here. Their cleanliness standards cannot be legal - there were cockroach crawling around the room I was in, you could see dirt caked on the floor, I can only imagine what the place looks like with full lights on. Saw this place on Mesa almost a year ago when going to UPS Store and Mantra Yoga. I'd always wanted to go but never made the time. Recently, I was at UPS Store and my body, feet, back, and neck were really aching that day! So walked over thinking I'd get a 15 min foot massage, but the nice man explained to me what they do, so I chose option A for 1 hr. It was different than American massages in a good way. It helped my pain level come way down and gave me a general feeling of wellbeing. I like that they do spend 10-15 min on your feet and had time to do my head, neck, face, arms, all of my back, hips, legs. And it's cash only for $35.00. Great deal! I'll be going back in a regular basis! I love the location. The waiting area is nice and has a fish tank. I only had to wait 3-5 min. They put me in a room with two beds, another female customer and two RMT's. I stripped anyway. Didn't bother me. I'm not overly modest:) And it helps them keep their prices down! You can ask for a private room if you'd prefer. The owner and employees are very kind and joyful. I felt good for days! So glad I tried it out. I had been a member of 2 different massage places, like Massage Envy but you sign a year contract and pay twice what this one costs and this one gives you a healthier massage. I really enjoyed it. After my watch was stolen this establishment wrote a comment that I could not prove it and that they looked for my "Chain". They also offered me a free massage. I am 100% certain it was stolen here as I had it when I came in and did not have it when I got home, the only other place I had been was my car. They were there for several minutes and I could not lift my head up so I did not see them but I remember thinking it was odd. It can be hit or miss at these types of places, but tonight was my lucky night! I wandered in without an appointment around 7pm on a Saturday. I was greeted by my practitioner, Gary, and after I selected my service, 90 minutes full body (option D) I was escorted back to the room. It was obvious there would be a language barrier, but he checked in often regarding pressure, but it was never too hard or too soft....always just right. It isn't a fancy day spa, but at $60 for 90 minutes massage you're paying for the service, not the ambiance. They do use hot stones on the back and warm towels to remove the oil so I didn't leave greasy. I tipped him $40 and at a grand total of $100 for a REALLY GOOD massage it's a bargain in my opinion. 10/10 will definitely be coming back. read more

Then we were shushed constantly and told there were other customers- we were talking softly. We said we could leave if we couldn't talk- they did not want us to leave. Then when he did the back massage he took his annoyance out on me- he was extremely rough. Even though we only consented to back- he did arms and legs and pulled on them. Both my husband and I love this place, it is affordable, but you get way better than what you paid (this is so much better than most of the $100+ massage places in Austin), and it is only $35-$40 for more than 1 hour of massaging! I've had different masseurs at this place but all of them have great skills to take care of head, shoulder, back, leg and foot. It is also very clean, quiet and with good music. One other thing is, despite the fact that rent, supplies, fees for this place are getting higher each year, the owner won't increase prices. These are very nice, honest and hardworking group of people, please support this business, visit more often and tip higher so it could still be open and provide great services to us living and working nearby. Whether you will like Foot Massage basically boils down to this analogy. Imagine you love steak. Your very favorite steak in the whole world is served in a swanky steakhouse with booths made out of buttery-soft leather and dim lighting and will set you back a rather painful $90. But it just tastes soooo damn good - you just can't help but go every once in a while. Now imagine you learned you could get a steak just as good, if not better, for $30. But you have to eat it at Burger King. Are you into it? If so, you will probably love Foot Massage. There's no perfectly-coiffed receptionist with a British accent. There's no Enya music. The air isn't lavender scented, there aren't any plush robes, and the water they give you afterwards isn't infused with cucumber - and it's served in the cheapest tiny Dixie cup. Sometimes you hear the phone ringing, and sometimes you hear other patrons talking. But you won't notice any of these things, because you'll be getting a killer massage that actually works out all those knots in your back, and depending on which version you choose, it'll set you back just $30-$40 for an hour. My favorite version is the 20-minute foot, 40-minute back & leg, with oil, which costs $40 for 60 minutes. My back is chronically full of knots, and this massage takes them down. The massages are unlike any I've ever had. The masseuse uses his or her arms and elbows and basically sort of leans over you so that he or she can use their weight to really dig in. It's definitely intense and perhaps a bit invasive of your private space but it's more effective than most other massages I've had - and it's so cheap that you can justify getting them much more often. The masseuses work so hard and I'm usually so blissed out and confused at the end that I typically tip 50% of the massage cost - and then I realize that it was still less than half as much as the massages at my previous favorite massage spot and I grin and weave my way out of there like the happiest drunk in the world. They'll take credit cards for the massage, but tips must be paid in cash. Foot Massage, I love thee. read more
