Heads up if you add enhancements to your facial, then it's included in your facial time, so you don't get a facial that you're supposed to get, but of course they charge you for both. So I made a reservation for signature facial 50 mins + dermaplaning, it's 129$ + $55 + tip, and I was done everything in 50mins including changing my clothes before and after, walking to and back to lobby, when you're charging for both services, why my dermaplaning is included in my facial time, so honestly my skin was prepped for dermaplaning and was applied moisturizer and sunscreen post dermaplaning and I paid $129 for what, I don't know, of course my esthetician and front desk person asked how it went, when they should already know how they did, but my esthetician Alina was really good and friendly, but I think it's the management thing, they just wanna squeeze more appointments, so they cut short the time they're charging for you. read more

This review is coming from someone who DREADS getting massages because I just kind them awkward and I struggle to relax (totally a "me" problem)... Spa Sway is FANTASTIC! I compete in powerlifting so my body gets pretty beat up and periodic massages helps alleviate some of the pain and inflammation that builds up from training. I had gone to a few different places in and around Austin for a sports massage but didn't love any of them. I decided to give Spa Sway a chance and ended up signing up for a membership before leaving because I had such a pleasant experience! THINGS I LOVED: - Super easy and convenient to book an appointment online - Responsive If/when you do need to call to speak to someone - Convenient location in the Domain right by a parking garage - Receptionists at the front desk were all very pleasant and welcoming - Offered drinks and/or snacks while you wait (who doesn't love snacks?!) - Beautiful waiting area with calming music playing and low lighting to make you feel relaxed - Everything is super clean - Great communication with the massage therapist about my needs - Felt extremely comfortable the entire time I booked an 80 minute sports massage with Travis who was fantastic... I was able to tell him about my massage history, trouble areas, and he communicated very clearly with me the entire time. I like a LOT of pressure and deep tissue work when I get massages which is usually painful and leaves me feeling sore after. Travis used plenty of pressure but somehow it didn't hurt and I wasn't sore... which is the best of both worlds! After finally having a great massage experience in a convenient location and at an affordable price (obviously not the cheapest option but I've also paid way more at other places), I signed up for the "Sway Club" membership which includes a 50 minute session monthly. Have passed Spa Sway many times on my walks through the Domain and I finally got the chance to try it out. When you first walk in you are met by receptionists who check you in then lead you to the waiting area. The waiting area is beautifully decorated and they have complimentary water and tea for you while you wait. It is however pretty small. I guess I went at a pretty popular time because almost all of the couches and chairs are occupied. I didn't have to wait long before my masseuse came to take me back to my room. I will say that the building is definitely bigger than it looks from the outside and they have quite a few rooms. I got the Himalayan Salt Stone Massage. Per their website, this massage zeroes out the body's electromagnetic field through the stone's neutral structure and natural resonant frequency. The pink Himalayan salt stones are known for their healing properties, and they offer relief from symptoms of chronic allergies. This luxurious treatment promotes detoxification, healthy energy levels, muscle function, and enhances sleep quality. It includes aromatherapy, a full-body magnesium-infused massage, and a scalp massage. The many minerals found in Himalayan salt stones (including iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium, and many, many more) will serve to relieve skin conditions, reduce breakouts, and bolster your body's immune system. This is a stone heavy massage, which I didn't realize, so if you are looking for something with a lot of pressure/hand usage, I probably wouldn't recommend this one and would say you should probably opt for a Swedish/deep tissue. Some things to call out that I really enjoyed about this massage: 1) They adapt the temperature in the room to your preference 2) They place a heated eye mask over your eyes when it's time to flip over 3) They cover your feet with the sheet when massaging them. I feel like a lot of places just rub your feet then back all over your body. 4) The usage of hot stones and lavender oil. My only faux pas was that during my massage I could hear my masseuse's personal music during my massage. I definitely don't mind the fact that she played music as I'm sure it assists when you're doing multiple massages/facials a day- I just wish I wasn't able to hear it as it was distracting throughout parts of my massage. Original Review: This was our first time here at the Spa and we booked two appointments for the Fall into Relaxation, which was advertised as 80 min. We both received only 50 min in total and one of us did not receive the honey chia hand and foot treatment. This 240 each for this service and essentially only received a massage and not for the full length of time. Update Review: I was contacted by Alek the spa manager who apologized and explained there was a scheduling issue upon her review. Alek also stated that she would like for both of us to experience the complete experience on the house. She also credited my account to reflect what services were actually received. My buddy gifted me with a partial gift card for my birthday so I prepaid for The Perfect Day Away ($275) as I wasn't comfortable leaving my credit card number on their server. The aesthetician recommended a medium beta hydroxy (salicylic acid) peel. Unfortunately, she hyperpigmented my ethnic skin. I have received approximately forty chemical peels over the last twenty years, and have never hyperpigmented from Dr. Lisa Benest in L.A., a nurse practitioner in the Bay Area, and an aesthetician from Refine Aesthetics. Red spots are expected after a peel, but not brown patches of discoloration. After the aesthetician neutralized the salicylic acid, I pointed to my right cheek and said it was still stinging. She said it was normal, but that is where the large brown patch showed up on my right cheek. My left cheek looks fine. If you have ethnic skin and want a chemical peel, I would recommend Refine Aesthetics. Also, Spa Sway doesn't offer Diamond Glow or vampire facials like Refine Aesthetics. I enjoyed my massage with Nathaly and would come back again for a relaxing massage. They sell Skin Ceuticals and Elta products. However, they are 20% off every quarter at Westlake Dermatology. Spa Sway does not credit your Alle account if you purchase Skin Ceuticals products. It's not completely a spa per se like The Four Seasons Maui, Disney Aulani, Lake Austin Spa Resort, Miraval Austin (both in Austin are top 12 in the nation according to Travel + Leisure), or Burke Williams. There's no steam room, sauna, showers, hot tub, pool, amenities, free fruit or nuts. However, it's a beautiful and relaxing place to get a massage. The Perfect Day Away wasn't a full 180 minutes. It was closer to 165 minutes. I waited fifteen minutes in between sessions as there was no way for the aesthetician to see I had checked in since I had prepaid. If you plan on spending $275 plus 20% tip at Spa Sway for three hours, you may as well spend $307 at Miraval Austin (non tipping resort ranked #12 in the nation) for the nine hour package which includes a $250 credit towards a service, free lunch, snacks, two Infiniti pools, sauna, hot tub, steam room, amenities, and showers. Not long after my 1st review, I became a member because I wanted to support this amazing business. I came here for regular sway massage, sway facial, I also had deep tissue massage when I was a workout junkie, had prenatal massages when I was pregnant. Then after kids, life happens and I did not have time to come in that often. I just wanted to say that even though we are often overseas, I still have not canceled my membership. I talked about different possibilities (pause or cancel membership) with Monique almost 6 months ago but she made everything so nice and easy, I wanted to stay a bit longer. This is one of the places I'd always want to visit when the kids are at school and when I have time for myself. 90% of the time I walk out feeling amazing. Today, I wasn't entirely happy with my hydrofacial service with enhancement but I was taken care of. Still a happy customer. To clarify, their aestheticians are normally out of the world amazing. They make you feel good about visiting and the experience is truly relaxing. Today, I tried someone new and although she was sweet, caring, did paid attention, the service I received just did not align with what I had before. If I were to have a regular facial, I would have been content. However, I got hydrofacial with dermaplaning, those who has an idea would know it's expensive. I'm glad I was honest about it, talked about it so I wouldn't feel angry and leave a bad review. We work things out and to let management team know how things could be improved. Leo was first to noticed something wasn't right and Monique quickly acknowledged I needed to have a conversation with someone. Nikki took over and asked questions, made sure both sides were heard, and gave future recommendation so that my experience would remain positive. No judgement, only support. My massage therapist was Juan, he was recommend for a Deep Tissue treatment so I booked with him. He was communicative, professional, and thorough. He checked in several times to ensure pressure was comfortable and he worked out several knots I didn't even know I had. I recommend adding in the Peppermint Scalp Massage for my anxious peeps out there, it really helped with my tension headaches I tend to get from my anxiety. Oh. My. God. I just had probably the best massage of my life from Susan at Spa Sway! I've had an extremely tough past few weeks mentally, plus I was especially sore in my lower back and just really needed a massage. I've been a Spa sway member for over two years, and literally everyone there is fantastic. I usually just book with whoever is available during the time I need because I feel like I can trust every single massage therapist there to do an amazing job. But MAN, Susan just knocked it out of the park today - she was so in tune with what my body needed even though I have trouble expressing what my problems are, it was like she could feel where my trouble spots were and took extra care and time to make sure they were taken care of. This was my first visit since the pandemic started (that's how badly I needed the massage!) and I was concerned about sanitation obviously, but these guys are absolutely taking every precaution- I had to be let in, so that not too many people are in the lobby at once. Masks everywhere, plus they take your temperature (with a little temp gun, touchless) upon arrival. There is hand sanitizer in the lobby and waiting room (also spaced out.) By the way, if you get massages regularly you should consider their membership- I kept paying dues during the pandemic and the credits (good for one massage or facial) DO roll over if you don't use them, or they can be gifted to a friend! I thiiiink (might need to double check) that you can use up to three credits in a day for separate services, too. I have like 12 credits built up now! I received a gift card to Massage Sway for my birthday and finally made an appointment. After a hectic day it was a nice retreat. The staff was very nice and accommodating when I was running a few minutes behind due to a minor emergency. I found parking pretty easily which was a surprise since it's the Domain. They have a relaxation room that's in between the reception area and the massage rooms. It's a nice place to center yourself before your massage. I had a 50 minute deep tissue massage by Alix and she was wonderful. They are a local establishment and they do have a membership but are not pushy about it. Really nice spa and the massage services are all really great. Ive enjoyed most of the therapists that I've had... they start/end with aroma therapy and warm towels. The issue is getting an appointment. They have limited availability and their online reservation system apparently has issues. They have to individually confirm the appointment via a follow up phone call. It's a pain if you work during the day and can't always pick up. If you don't answer then you basically lose the reservation. It's pretty frustrating that you get billed every month, but you can't use the credits. I've voiced my concerns, but they just acknowledged it was issue and gave a non apology, apology with an emailed copy of the cancellation form. I came in with an appointment for a Hand & Foot Healing Treatment and when I called the girl that booked my appointment, she reassured me they would also pamper legs and arms . For this service being $105, i definitely did not think it was worth it what so ever! The massage was literally very soft as if she barely touched my feet and hands. Her style is so much more impactful and effective than any other therapist I have worked with in my lifetime.
