Mantra is an excellent massage studio with great therapists and friendly front desk staff. The location is great and easy to find. The studio is set up very well for COVID and the appointments are spaced out properly to follow proper safety protocol both for clients and therapists. The appointment booking is simple and easy to do online. My therapist is Nicole P and she is one of the few therapists in Austin who understands my specific pain needs and knows what to do. I have various sports injuries and need a balance of massage and stretching. Nicole was able to identify exact issues with my muscles and provide great care. I recently went to Manta for a massage after traveling with a large backpack (before then I spent a lot of time sitting down in my office). This was my first time and I was very impressed with the general atmosphere of the location! It was super zen and had very tasteful furniture and decor. I was greeted by the receptionist (who also took my temperature) and waited a short few minutes for my masseuse, Lockie. Everyone was very nice and attentive -- plus I was the only customer there (I went on a Tuesday morning) which was amazing, especially because of COVID. The massage was all around great and the room was very calming. I specifically enjoyed the low key music that played in the background (a lot of other places play much louder, distracting music). Lockie used the perfect amount of pressure and used hot towels (which is always a nice touch!). I would've liked her to use more of a scented oil (I'm all about aromatherapy) but other than that, it was a great experience! Definitely one of my favorites in Austin. read more

I decided to first try this studio out due to it being a very convenient location for me. A big plus of this being a charming smaller studio is that I haven't had issues in finding floor space with each class ranging around 7-12 students. Other studios sometime require getting there 15 min prior to secure a spot even with a reservation. The front desk hostess and instructors have all been super friendly, warm, and inviting. Like similar studios, there is water and tea to enjoy before and after class. I've enjoyed the All Levels Pilates Mat classes taught by Mary and Melodee and Vinyasa Flow/Slow Flow taught by Lisa and especially Laura. Besides being accommodating to each member in the class, I love the uniqueness of each class format and the clear instruction given throughout the classes. Yoga and pilates have increased my overall core strength. I always leave class feeling mentally and physically energized, happy, and ready to tackle the day/week ahead of me. read more

Studio Mantra has an attractive studio and offers many classes varying beginner to advanced level courses. I was very fortunate to restart my yoga experience here at Studio Mantra, where I could learn from the gentle and patient yoga instructors Shanin and Laura. Within a month, I had slowly ramped up my "abilities" so that I could do more fast-paced sessions (both with Laura and Chad). In the softer/beginner classes such as Gentle Yoga and Yoga Align, there was plenty of room to follow the instructor's lead and be in a peaceful environment. However once I got into the semi-advanced classes, I realized after a few of them that the rooms were crowded. So much that I couldn't expand my body and fulfill the stretches of certain poses without hitting the wall or the person beside me, and I think it was a tipping point for me when the person beside me had to have her leg stretched over my mat to accomplish her pose. There's a sense of security and zen that gets lost because of the overcrowding in the room. It's entirely possible that more people were coming in for New Years resolutions, however there should be a reasonable max on how many people per class are allowed. Having spilled that, I will say that their team is really so kind and personable. I'm interested in coming back for their massages! read more

It was my first time at Mantra Massage and I was blown away. The vision I had in my head of a massage studio in a shopping center was completely different than what I felt when I walked in. Immediately, you smell and hear things that will get you into a relaxed mood. I had Heather Oswalt as my massage therapist and WOW, I came out feeling 10000% better than I went in. I let her know I had been feeling off and where my biggest pain points were. Not only did she work all of that out, she gave me a few at home stretches and ball exercises to help.
