This company has managed to manipulate and flood search results with their own reviews and false "product ranking" sites (click on the little tiny link that says "advertising disclosure" and you will see that it says the ranking "company" is owned by the same corporation that manufactures the top-rated product!) that I actually had a very difficult time finding TRUE information or reviews. I will never purchase another product by this company as I value truth and honesty, not marketing, when I buy things I'll put in or on my body. Was not impressed by their supplements, and when I went looking for answers, all I found was a mountain of their own manipulated marketing posing as "research." They literally slam all the other brands for "not using clinically-studied [insert ingredient here]." THAT'S NOT EVEN A THING!! If the INGREDIENT has been clinically-studied, then EVERY PRODUCT on the market contains "clinically-studied" [insert ingredient name]. This proved to me that this company has zero actual scientists or pharmacists working there. read more

They moved location. It is not very clear as their message still begins with their old location, and nothing online seems updated. Their old WC/Brodie location is closed. I have bought many Gift Certs over the years, and claiming them has always been a pain with confused therapists and many phone calls and waiting. Still we continued as their services were good. I got a Gift Cert this mothers day not knowing they have moved to 6th St. Now they refuse to refund. My mom is not going to 6th St., and they are not going to keep my money. It just infuriates me that I have to call up my CreditCard instead of them simply refunding the Gift Cert on the same day it was issued after finding out they had moved far away from me. Ridiculous. I really loved this place, they helped me a lot. However, my family buys me gift cards and have them credit my account with them. This is the third time that the credit/gift cards have "expired" and I am unable to use. If I give you money and you sit on it... it doesn't expire. I reached out to them yesterday about possible credit I had and was told today by Alex that my gift card expired 4/12/2020 so I no longer had a credit. We are in the middle of a pandemic, they were closed I am sure being non essential so I could t of used it even if I wanted to. What a rip off... again this is the third time this has happened to me and happened to my daughter as well. Money does not expire! I was excited to come with my two sisters and Mom on my birthday for a chair massage and foot treatment. I booked online so I could get it done at night when I had a chance but couldn't figure out how to reserve for more than one treatment for multiple people on the same reservation. I'm not sure now why I didn't think to make two separate reservations but I didn't. I added in the comments that we would also like to book a foot treatment but didn't call to double check that the appointment was made so we were dIsappointed when they hadn't been. The staff apologized and were very nice and the chair massages were great but it would be convenient to be able to do everything online and I have a feeling they may be missing the opportunity for more business. ZenWell is unique and as a newbie to Thai massage, I'll be honest and say I had no idea what to expect . The space is serene and my therapist Bri was informative and very nice and patient . Thai massage is compared to "assisted yoga" . I am not a huge fan of yoga but i do love the benefits for my body and all it's aches and pains. From the first call to set up an appointment the whole team was great and very helpful. I normally prefer a nice intense deep tissue massage, so this was quite different . I enjoyed the experience and it was quite relaxing but not quite what my Body needs after a long week of intense workouts and a physically demanding job. I would definitely recommend ZenWell for Thai massage and reflexology but if you're like me And love a deep tissue massage , this isn't quite the same . read more

I had neck surgery in April and have been in tremendous amounts of pain daily. I had tried a lot - acupuncture, salves, foam rolling, and massages at our places. I was really thinking there wasn't anything to be done for the pain, but decided to try a chair massage as my last ditch effort. I figured they would place more emphasis on the areas that really needed work. It was easy to book online and I chose Josh, simply for the fact that he had the earliest availability. Wow, I was so impressed! He used the perfect amount of pressure and was so courteous and respectful. After the massage, he told me what he thought was happening and showed me some stretches and exercises to help. Service/Price: Selected the Zen Treatment package (40 min Thai, 40 min reflexology). Definitely look into the packages and specials. You can also customize your experience which is nice. Facility: Clean, warm and welcoming. A change of loose clothing was offered to change into (very much like traditional Thai massages, with the traditional loose Thai pants). Front desk service was excellent: Efficiently checked in, questions answered, beverages offered, friend and welcoming. Massage: Was good. I wouldn't say it was the best Thai massage I've ever received. I prefer hard pressure, deep tissue, back-cracking, pressure point massages. That said, the masseuse was very attentive and was clear that they do not crack backs or do certain Thai maneuvers for health/professional reasons. Which I think is great for those with joint/back problems, because really you should be getting a thorough evaluation before twisting arms and body parts. So they aren't wrong for being clear about their professional practices, in fact I commend them because they took the time to really assess my needs. But I was hoping for something more and felt embarrassed to ask (for the fourth time) for more pressure, hence four stars. Parking: Tons of free parking available in the lot. I'm here in Austin on vacation. Treated myself to a massage. The THAI Massage is, indeed, a little different than I'm used to. I LOVE that a person doesn't have to strip down to the skivies (or down to the buff). Alex at the front desk is incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. What a genuine soul he is. If a person has any trouble with Alex, I would assume that person probably needs an attitude adjustment. I opted for the "Taste of Everything", and am SO glad I did. The experience was worth every penny! Tara was very professional, and gave me tips, afterwards, on how I can continue to manage/prevent muscle aches and pain. The atmosphere was the best I've experienced for a spa ... good temperature, semi-private to private massage areas, trickling waterfall, soothing music at just the right volume, twilight lighting, and super-nice professionals. About half-way through, I felt like jumping up, and shouting in a James Brown style, "OW! I feel GOOD ...na-na-na-na-na-na-na..." ... :) ... And that feeling stuck with me the rest of the week. I knew to drink LOTS OF WATER after the massage - to help the flush out all those toxins getting released. And Tara made sure I got a cup of Green Tea to help that process. Wonderful Thai massage! I've had great experiences with each therapist I've worked with. Recently I've had a lot of stress and tension in my neck and shoulders causing me headaches. I wanted to like this place, and thought it would be great due to the 5 stars on yelp but... My wife and I both got 100-minute Thai massages here. They were quite expensive we felt, for the services rendered. Mine was relaxing, however I didn't feel it was the typical Thai massage I would have expected (wife felt the same). There was some stretching, but not much pressure, and not much work with feet/stepping. The pressure would accelerate from soft to full throttle in a millisecond, rather than easing in. No face cradle, so neck was a little strained during it. Would not go back, mainly due to price and better options. read more

Overall, a very unique massage experience! I did no research whatsoever on what exactly a Thai massage is before coming here. That's smart, right? Anyway, so going in, I was just expecting your typical massage with some flair. My, my... this is different... but good! I had a 40 minute prenatal with Kara. She was great and I felt super comfortable with her. I requested firm pressure and I felt like she delivered, which I always appreciate, as sometimes you say that and it's really not. Some things to know... 1) You stay clothed the entire time. I was actually able to wear the clothes I came in (leggings and sweatshirt). 2) You lay on a pallet on the floor vs a table. It was super comfortable! 3) I am not sure all of the ins and outs, but basically the focus is much more on stretching the body. Prepare to move! The therapist handles all of the work for you, but my legs and arms were moving all over the place. I will say it felt like it came at the perfect time, as my hips and lower back have been so achy in preparing for birth. They DO massage your body and focus on pressure points, but just not as much due to the stretching (reminder, I was only there 40 min). Overall, I thought this was super unique and I could definitely see myself coming back if I was super achy or felt like I needed to stretch a bit. read more

Zen Well made me more satisfied after leaving a massage than any other place I've been to. On average, I get a massage at least once a month. Sometimes from achy muscles or just for pleasure. This was my first time having a prenatal massage at 7.5 months and a Thai Massage and it was amazing. I don't think I can ever go back to a traditional table massage. Kara was amazing, kind and provided just the perfect amount of pressure for my pregnant body. She was not afraid to move my body around during the session and stretch me out. I was so happy that she wasn't too delicate on me because I really needed a good stretch from carrying around this baby belly. The receptionist is very nice, paperwork was minimal for first visit, you change into Thai style clothing in a private locker room (v-neck/tank top, baggy capri pants, and flip flops optional). Then you enter a dark hall with lots of private rooms and curtain rooms. Everything smells divine and pleasant! When i went into my room, it looked like a throne on the floor with lots of cushions and pillows, it was magical! It is worth every penny and I cannot wait to go back again! read more

I sadly must downgrade my review. Cara, and previously Erin, were amazing and intuitive therapists. My most recent visit was with a new therapist who had no ability to adjust his pressure and no intuitive ability to adjust his approach to massage. I left in pain. I visited an urgent care the next day because of the immobility and discomfort in my left shoulder. This should not be. One should not need a physical therapist to correct the damage of a poorly executed massacre, I mean massage. Two stars remain because of Cara and the precious receptionist who saw the pain on my face and waived the charge. I used that money for my urgent care copay. read more

My wife and I went to Austin to spend a weekend getaway and we decided to get a Thai massage. I found this place through the great reviews on Yelp and my experience was amazing. They have lockers where you can store you items and you can change into their Thai pants, which are comfortable oversized cotton pants. Dawn was my massage therapist, while my wife received her massage from Bri. Dawn was very helpful. She asked me what I was looking to get out of the massage, where my problem areas were, and told me to let her do all the work. I am a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu practitioner so my back and my hips are the main problem areas. She was used a variety of stretches and body manipulation while I focused on my breath. I was in the zone the whole time and the hour went by like nothing! I felt re-energized and relaxed at the same time. I would highly recommend the place! The Thai massage was a bit of a shock at first -- they crawl on you to apply pressure -- but Anita took her time to really work my problem areas and even sent me home with some stretching exercises. I woke up that morning unable to bend over and left being able to touch my toes! I've been back several times since, always opting for a Thai message with Anita. I love this place! I am so glad I found it in my 3rd trimester (I googled best prenatal massage in Austin). I went twice; once at 39 weeks and once the day after my due date. Both times for prenatal massage & hand & foot reflexology. I had Chandra & Anita and they were both amazing!! I've had a few prenatal massages & nothing has compared to a prenatal Thai massage. The way they stretched out my huge, pregnant body felt amazing & they really were able to work out the pain in my lower back & hips - much easier than if I were covered with a sheet getting a traditional massage. Great massage at a fair price. I booked massages for the wife and I, we had been working out intensely and had accumulated various aches and pains. Despite being well across town, Zen Well came highly recommended and I thought "why not?" The massages are Thai based, which means a lot of assisted stretching and body manipulation. They also offer more traditional chair massages, as well as hand/foot/scalp massages. Services are priced fairly, at roughly $1 per minute, though I was surprised to see they didn't discount the longer services slightly. The massages book out well in advance, and we were lucky to find appointments on a busy Saturday. This meant that I had Josh as my masseuse. Typically I prefer a female masseuse, but appointment constraints dictated otherwise. Fortunately for me, Josh is amazing. He had perfect pressure throughout the massage to get into my back, and immediately improved my range of motion when he was done. Afterwards, I remembered that I'm perennially complaining that my massage is never deep enough...perhaps I just need to check my ego from now on. The staff was all extremely friendly, they even have a tiny locker room for storing your personal items, and offer massages as short as 20 minutes. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

The prices at ZenWell are terrific, but my favorite part is the massage therapists, in particular, Dawn, who I've settled on. She listens carefully both before and during the massage. Dawn is quite intuitive when it comes to helping manage my TMJ, the pain I carry in my shoulders, and my migraines. She IS my pain management go-to; the one thing that gives me sure relief. If only I would be absolutely consistent in my appointments, I could enjoy life more richly! Typically, I all her to work on thise areas I described, however, I've also had a Hop replaced and c arthritis in the other, so Dawn's Thai massage solves those periodic problems, as well. I had no idea what to expect when my friend gifted me a "Thai Yoga Massage." She had been and enjoyed it. She told me to wear the pants they give you--yes, do! But I'm ahead of myself. The front desk person was super nice and helpful and friendly, especially when I really had no clue what to expect. She said that since I was wearing sweats (almost like yoga type clothes) that I wouldn't need to change. I asked if I could--I wanted the full experience. They're kinda Fancy Pants so she showed me how to put them on. Huge nod to the sign that says, "Relax. Your phone will be waiting for you when you get back" in the changing area. They have lockers that you can use to lock up your stuff. Including your Normal Pants. You're not in a super private space when you're getting your massage, so keep that in mind if that's a problem for you. There were several chairs for chair massages and also foot massages. There was almost no one else there when I went. I was in a space behind a curtain. For the Thai Yoga Massage, I was on a comfortable mat on the floor. I asked my masseuse, Claire, what I should expect. She said, "Rag doll. Just be limp and let me move you." Later on she actually complimented me on doing so well--I guess a lot of people try to help by moving their bodies--let her do the work! It's not what I would call a super relaxing massage where you can just drift off to la-la land. I mean, it's like yoga, you're working. But she's doing the work for you. I had my eyes closed the whole time and let her do her job. And let me say this, I felt all good and stretched out when she was done. Like I had done a lot of really good yoga. I noticed less tightness in my back and everything felt all good and stretched out. That's really the only way I can explain it--good and stretched out! Give it a try! read more

I have now learned that Thai massage is not my thing. I get massages because I have chronic neck pain; therefore I hope to leave with some relief. This was not the case here. I came in with extreme neck pain and a horrible pounding headache...and I left with extreme neck pain and less of a headache. I thought I would enjoy the stretching but it just really didn't do anything for me. I figured when I told them of my problem areas that would mean they put a little more focus there. That wasn't the case at all, so that was really disappointing. Also, I felt like it was uneven...what I mean by that is, when she was working on one side of my body it wasn't symmetrical to the other side. Sometimes one side felt great and was exactly where I needed work but she wasn't working that same area on the opposite side of my body. I would also question the atmosphere if you weren't the only person there. Luckily I was, but since you're not in your own room [they just have long curtains so people can't really see into your massage area] you can hear people walking around/talking etc. I would think someone else, even quietly talking, would be very distracting. I came in appropriate clothing but I believe they give you Thai pants if you aren't wearing workout-like clothing. Not sure if this is noted on their website but I couldn't find it and it would be helpful to know for new clients. I was super excited to try this place but it just didn't do it for me. From other reviews I expected them to suggest other treatments, don't get me wrong, I'm glad they aren't pushing you to buy anything else but as a new customer I would have like to know about the other options available. Had a great Thai massage with Chandra today. She is very knowledgable of the body's anatomy and was thorough and methodical in her work. As someone who suffers from pretty significant anxiety, I'm always looking for a therapist who can really dig into some core muscles to help me loosen up and relax. Zen Well is fantastic. Very clean, calm atmosphere and very affordable. I've been here at least 10 times and every therapist I've had was great and I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. If you've never had a Thai massage, you should definitely try one out. It's a slightly more "active" massage, and you'll be laying on a large, soft mat on the floor while wearing funny linen pants that I still can't really figure out how to tie and a soft T-shirt (provided by them.) This form of massage seems to allow the therapist to really get into some of the deeper tissue and it's a GREAT feeling when some of those tight muscles get relieved for the first time in a long time. I was a little hesitant to spend the amount of money for a chair massage that i would usually be spending on the a full up table massage with a private room, but I'm so glad I decided to give it a try! Trisha was my therapist and she was so great, really focusing in on my problem areas with the perfect amount of pressure. I particularly liked the reclining chair as opposed to the standard chair that I am used to where you sit forwards. If you have shoulder tenseness like I do, I highly recommend Trisha! Have been here at least 10 times. And will be back at least 10 more times. I go exclusively for the infrared sauna. The sauna sessions are 40 mins, and they make appointments on each hour, so it gives you 10 mins to undress and 10 mins to get back dressed after your sauna treatment. The saunas are *individual* sessions, meaning you have the sauna all to yourself! They have a TV and Netflix, Hulu, etc so you can watch something during your session. The sauna is great - always gets me sweating, comfortably, and it is always wonderfully clean, as they clean the sauna between each persons session. Actually, the entire facility is kept very clean and a comfortable temperature. They also play incredibly soothing spa music. Really calming. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Sauna appointments can be made in person, over the phone, or you can even book them online right at home! You can also cancel appointments from the scheduling app too. Parking is never an issue. TLDR: Great clean sauna, nice staff, easy booking. read more
