What a beautiful spa! It's more than a massage studio, it's a complete wellness center. We enjoyed a couples massage as well as a session in the salt therapy room. (Salt therapy is only available at the Oak Hill location). The rooms are all pristine. The staff is incredibly helpful as well as experienced and delightful. Ample parking. Appointments are necessary. And prices are reasonable. They offer lockers to store your things. They have a shower available for anyone needing to freshen up after a session, the shower room is complete with towels and a hair dryer as well. Wow! I haven't had a massage in years and my boyfriend surprised me with all the works - massage, relaxation wrap, infrared sauna and salt room therapy. I was so comfortable (something I struggle with during massages) from the second I walked through the door. My massage therapist Camille, was great and really made me feel relaxed but also helped getting some knots out of my upper shoulder area. After my massage, I went into the infrared sauna. I am obsessed. May come back just to do this! Sat in there, peacefully reading my book while relaxing and reaping the benefits on the red light. We came here on a last minute idea and it was pretty cool. My friend opted to go with the salt wall and massage and she enjoyed it. I opted for the sauna and massage which was great but I couldnt relax bc I wasnt sure if someone was coming to get me for my massage or if i was supposed to leave the room myself and go back to the desk. things i didnt think to ask upon arrival. I live in Round Rock and these locations (Oak Hill and Manchaca) are bascially in San Antonio for me. I have to admit my massage was kind of painful but that painful way that you hold your breath and bear down to make yourself go through it but try to relax bc you know your body is jacked up and you NEED this but it is excrutiatingly painful. somewhere btwn that and relaxing is where I needed to be. Ive had a sports massage which is what I needed but relaxation was what I wanted as a mom of 2 under 2. the table was for someone very tall bc if my face was in the designated area, there was no way my body was going to reach the table. I'm short. so she kept stuffing towels so i wouldnt slide forward which was a great idea but they kept falling and i felt so guilty everytime it happened. Would I go again? yes. but i'd just see if i could get a little less pressure this time. read more

While visiting family, I took my daughter to get a massage and we were 7 min late. I get frequent massages and know that was cutting into her time and I asked the receptionist if my daughter could go back while I did the paperwork. She said no and I did the paperwork quickly and then my daughter was taken back and I left. On my way out I twisted my ankle due to what appeared to be an oil spill by the front door . I told the receptionist there was oil on the floor and should probably be cleaned up and I left. My daughter went back to get her massage and asked for the bathroom and was told it was 3 doors to the left. In fact the bathroom was 4 doors to the right, so unfortunately she entered another treatment room and got confused and left. She said the massage wasn't horrible but not the best and that the therapist didn't stop talking. We still left a tip and left. Today I received the following email from the manager. I have to say that I found her email ridiculous and appears to me she has no idea how to handle her staff. This is Mina, the General Manager at Sage Blossom Massage. I received concerns from my staff who were working when your daughter had her appointment last night and wanted to address and clarify a couple of things with you: 1. It was reported that you all were approximately 10 minutes late to your appointment and were upset that Berlin would not get her full time. While we understand traffic and timing can vary, our therapists have a schedule to stick to and can only accommodate what is within their blocked time for an appointment. 2. A therapist reported that Berlin walked into a client's session and was asked to leave. Our front desk had offered to show Berlin where the bathroom was to avoid this scenario. We never, ever want clients or staff members to walk into a session unannounced. It is not taken lightly when a client feels their privacy is being invaded. All in all, I want to be transparent and relay that my staff felt uncomfortable at the nature of your visit and any form of disrespectful behavior towards them is not tolerated. I would ask that if you plan on returning to Sage Blossom to bear this in mind and treat them with the same respect that they treat our clients in return. I had the 105 minute dee tissue massage with Eduardo and I will be going back! I read it's next to a busy road, and yes, however, between the serene set up in room, the music, the massage pretty much takes away from hearing anything. I didn't even worry about hearing outside noises. Place is a cute and quaint from outside and inside is like walking into the most calm place that's peaceful. I ended up buying crystals, lip balm and a bracelet. I highly recommend this place and Eduardo. Everyone seemed very pleasant and welcoming, especially the two ladies who checked you in. read more

I normally go to the Manchac location but this time I decided to try out oak hill. I first started with the infrared sauna, and it was super relaxing. I got a cold peppermint towel, which helped me keep cool inside the sauna! My massage therapist was Savannah and she was amazing! I only booked for an hour, and that was my mistake, I definitely should've booked for a longer time! She focused on all areas that were a main concern for me. She let me know what her next step would be, and made sure I felt comfortable and relaxed. I even took a small nap during the massage!!! Everyone was super nice, both locations are amazing. To be honest, I didn't really love my massage. As others have said, it felt... lazy. I left feeling not fully satisfied or like I had a professional massage. I have always been able to relax during my massages but due to my massage therapist constantly asking me questions, and moving the bed up & down (which made me feel motion sickness) I was never quite able to relax. The hot towel on my head was WAY too hot and painful, making it very hard to relax. I finally had to ask her to remove it. On top of all of that, I was disappointed to find at the end of the massage that I did not get the full 60 minutes. That's disappointing and should not happen. Just because your massage appointment is scheduled for 6PM doesn't mean it should end at 7PM on the dot when it did not start right at 6, but about 10 minutes later. Set a timer or watch the clock for when the massage actually starts. You should not get less time because they have you filling out paperwork and are talking to you about your massage. I was on time and nobody informed me I needed to arrive earlier for paperwork (I've never had this anywhere else.) Would not recommend based on my experience. read more

Basically I hinted a lot that I wanted this from here. haha Upon scheduling my massage I had looked at reviews and each massage therapist profile on their website to figure out what I was looking for. I am use to deep massages from a little Thai lady who will walk all over me about once a month. I settled for a massage with Aurora. It was an easy check in process and I was taken back on time. The massage I honestly have mixed feelings about. It was strange when she did a lot of slow moving techniques. I think it was straightening out the muscle but I am unsure. The last half of the massage was concentrated on my back and shoulders and this is when the deep massage happened. She got into the knots that had built up for moving. I felt great after leaving but was a little sad that was not how the massage was the whole time. I have two more massages left here and of course I will be coming back. I may talk to someone about the type of massage I want when I reschedule and see if there is another recommendation for a massage therapist. read more

I just moved back to Texas after over a decade and was in the market for a new massage therapist. I love massages and it's always difficult to find "the one." Over Christmas my In-laws gave me a gift certificate to Sage which included the tip! After the initial search for the place because they are located inside "The Joint" next to Sam's - I was greeted by a lovely receptionist who also helped me find the place over the phone. My massage therapist was Nikki and she was the best I've ever had! I even told her that! She helped me to totally relax with peppermint oil and incense. She used hot towels on my back and legs and feet. I asked for deep tissue and she delivered! My body was in heaven and I highly recommend her for your next massage! Initially I had an appointment for 12:45, I was told to arrive five mins early. As I began to walk in the door of this establishment at 12:38 I was told that my scheduled appointment couldn't be honored due to another massage therapist took the couples room. I book a COUPLES MASSAGE because that's the service I wanted. Today was me and my boyfriends 3 year anniversary I flew in from New Orleans to be with him because he's working only to have it start off this way. I was offered to have the service but in separate rooms, that isn't what we schedule or wanted. They offered another day but today is the special day for this not another plus I fly out to return home tomorrow. Sorry but this is unacceptable and I'm a little disappointed I was using the massage to buy time for the Chef to set up for a special dinning I'd arrange now I'm stuck trying to adjust fire. read more

I went in for a prenatal massage and it was okay. I was turned on my side with a wedge between my legs. I hoped a prenatal massage would be as nice as it sounds but it was very uncomfortable and I found myself holding more tension. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who did my massage. Maybe it would've been different had I had someone else. The massage just felt lazy and there was nothing special about it. Just a simple rub. The establishment is very nice and very clean, the only downside is the fire station next door. It is super loud and distracting..in addition to being on a busy road. read more

I like deep touch and have quite a bit of ongoing muscle soreness and tension and have never had anyone work me over so therapeutically. Just had the best massage I've ever had at Sage Blossom with April. She was absolutely incredible, not only does she have 30+ years experience, she is a Reiki practitioner/master as well. Setting it up was super easy, just a quick call. They have two locations one out here in Oak hill and one off Menchaca. The oak hill location was super clean, calming and has a salt room and infrared sauna! Presently, they are doing a salt room or sauna session for $15 when you purchase an hour massage or more. Well Drats, back to the drawing board. My review update is about consistency, ease of use, and customer experience. If you need a "one shot" massage, there are great therapists here. But.... Initially, I loved the scheduling app at Sage Blossom, even while I hated their member website, which is not well designed. The member website could be ignored once you entered your credit card info, then it was about the scheduling app. Recently, the owner has added a credit card requirement in the scheduling app (due to no shows). But wait, you already charged me for my visit? WTH? I complained and was told there's no way to fix this. Mm yeah, there is. If you can open a second location, you can invest money to integrate your calendar, finances and membership in order to create a seamless customer experience. Hell no, you can't have my credit card in two locations. It makes no sense, doubles my risk and is user unfriendly. Add to that, the constantly changing schedules and staff rotations, it became too much to deal. I want a monthly massage. Not a never ending carousel of surprise. read more

Something happens when you get a fracture in your foot: you waddle in a boot, you use crutches post-surgery, you again waddle in a boot, you limp in a normal shoe, your entire body tries to kill you in misaligned retaliation. After 6 weeks of this nonsense, I needed help. Niki was amazing. I described my situation, and she addressed everything in my 1:15hr session. And I mean everything: shoulders, shoulder blades (I'm double-jointed), neck, lower back, the 4-years-ago surgery foot, the 6-weeks-ago surgery foot, and the clincher: the tired-of-this-limping-fiasco hips, both of which don't lie and which basically had condemned me to hell. I cannot tell you what a relief this session was. I'm not one to get massages, but when I do I want someone to really get in there - I'm definitely a no-pain, no-gain kind of gal. But I gotta say, there were times during our session when I lamented writing the word "STRONG" on the line where you indicate your preferred massage strength level. Niki does NOT fool around. This is definitely the place I'd go back to for any massages, adjustments, or just to sit in silence. I followed my massage up with a quick hip adjustment (Sage Blossom is run out of a chiropractic office), though Niki got in there so well I think I would've been fine without it. That I got the last available appointment for that day was a miracle. I can't thank Sage Blossom enough. read more

I have been receiving massages since a sophomore in college because of neck/shoulder issues - so to say that I have gotten a lot would be an understatement. I moved here 2 years ago and left my favorite therapist of all time in Manhattan Beach so the search began for someone new. This town is full of great massage therapists but once I got pregnant, I was in the market for someone who specialized in prenatal massage and found Sage Blossom. Starting at 7 weeks, I have received massages throughout my pregnancy with various therapists - Aurora, Vivianne, Brittanie, Rochelle and Holly. (I am now at 35 weeks.) Like others have mentioned, massages are very personal and everyone has a style preference. All the therapists were great. They all listened to my needs and worked out knots accordingly, focusing on areas of tightness. I just prefer some therapist's style over other. I really liked Rochelle and Holly touch - deep/firm yet relaxing. They provide a great full body massage while spending time on trouble areas. Rochelle did a great job of working on my lower back and hips. Holly worked out deep knots in my neck and shoulders and ended with a very relaxing foot massage (while avoiding the no-no trigger points to induce labor). Julianne (the owner) has done a great job of handpicking skilled therapists. You can't go wrong with any of them as far as I am concerned. I am a membership holder and plan on continuing after the baby is born. Location - I have yet to go to their location on Manchaca but their rooms, located in The Joint. work well. It's not the spa atmosphere that you may find elsewhere, but the rooms are quiet and the massages are great...which is what matters to me! read more

I can't say much that the other reviews haven't already: Juliann is awesome. The massage was awesome. That covers it. But, the details mean a lot! First: The room wasn't bright, sterile, stark white. It was blue and soft and soothing. Very comforting from the moment I stepped in. Second: Juliann found a tight spot in my shoulder and guessed (very accurately) that I spent many hours a day hunched over a computer. After my massage, she demonstrated several easy exercises and stretches to help keep my range of motion in that shoulder up to par. Third: She just emailed to check on me! Probably one of the best massages I have ever had. I booked a 60 min massage last min thanks to some shooting pains in my back. I'd also been running around trying to make it to the massage on time so I was extra stressed when I arrived. I also never get 60 min massage because it always takes me a long time to relax. Despite a backache and being rushed before, Aurora had me a happy relaxed puddle in no time. Not only was it an amazing massage, but you can't beat their prices (and it includes gratuity). Sage is located inside a Chiropractors Office, so it was a little strange at first. Especially when I first went into the massage room and was getting ready and laying down on the table, you can hear all the action going on outside in the main chiropractor area...so that was a little distracting, but the massage therapist for Sage was so wonderful and professional that I tuned out most the noise very quickly into our session. I really enjoyed this place and wanted to return to them but I was disappointed that they raised their prices, which is why I took away 1 star for this review. The fact that they are not a stand alone office and they share the space with the chiropractor and that can be a huge hindering experience as a client, I was sad to hear they raised their massage price. If they location and environment had changed to better standings, then of course I would understand the increase in price...otherwise, I dont see why this happened. read more
