Probably amongst the top 5 massages I have had. What sets this place apart are the atmosphere and special touches. The tables are heated and wonderful. The inside is relaxing and dark with soothing sounds. They also use aromatherapy, hot stones, and these cool vibrating sound making discs that they place on your body. I felt so relaxed and loose afterwards! I really wish I remembered the names of masseuses. The tea, wine, and chocolate they offer you after are nice. I got a gift certificate for this place so I decided to do the Zen Day which starts with Reiki then you go into the infrared sauna before ending with a massage. I'm not sure how much of a believer I am in Reiki but it was definitely relaxing. I really liked all the different scents of oils you could choose from. The infrared sauna was probably my least favorite part of my experience. Specifically because I did not like being left in a sauna with absolutely nothing to distract myself with. If they would have offered for me to listen to a podcast or an audio book or even read a book or magazine in there that would have made the experience so much better. For those of us that can't mediate, especially after basically being in a meditative zone for the past 35 min or so via the reiki experience, I just found it stressful to be left there with nothing to do but listen to massage music. The massage was excellent though! I was really impressed with how good she was as I'm a bit of a massage snob so I was pleasantly surprised at how talented my masseuse was. I wish I remembered her name as she was really good! They give you the option of good chocolate when you leave too! I would definitely come back for the massage experience. read more

My boyfriend and I did the couples spa package, and we agreed it was just one of the best experiences we've ever had getting a massage. They do a great job of blending the therapeutic work on sore muscles with a relaxing, almost meditative experience. The hot stones felt amazing and the aroma therapy was so gentle and restorative. My wife and I were in Austin for a few days celebrating her Birthday. After experiencing several attractions that Austin has to offer, I wanted to end the vacation with a couples massage, one of my wife's favorite things to do. Let me tell you, our couples massage at Zen Blend turned out to be one of the highlights of our vacation!!! We went with the 70 minute option, my wife told me later that it was the quickest 70 minutes of her life... :) Rachel and Kristi did an outstanding job, they have hands and fingers of Angels. Both asked what our individual needs were, and they followed through flawlessly. The outside of the building almost looks like someone's house, but inside you will be transported to another relaxing world. I have been in search of a massage place in Austin since I moved here. I believe I have found my place. I had seen Zen Blend while driving and or walking around my neighborhood. I was curious about them. After not liking my last massage place that much I looked up the website. I decided to book the The Samadhi Package. This includes: 70 min. Hot Stone Zen Massage, The Bio Mat, Aromatherapy, Hot Steam Towels ,Therapeutic herbal hot packs, Peppermint Bliss Foot Massage, and Zen Blend Tea & Fine Chocolate. I arrived and parked in the cover parking area. This was much appreciated since well it's August and its Texas. My car is probably 150-200 degrees if parked outside for over an hour. Upon entering I was led to a glowing rock table and had to briefly fill out some paper work for being a first timer here. Annette introduced herself to me and asked me what type of massage I wanted and if I had any areas that she should focus on. I explained that I love and need a deep tissue massage. My sore areas were my upper back and also my right hamstring has been giving me a little bit of issues. She led me back to the massage room and left me be to undress to my comfortable level. Aka naked! I got on the table and waited. She came back a few minutes later to begin. Before we started she asked me what scent I wanted for my aromatherapy. I decided on lemongrass which was good choice I might add. Anyway, All I can say is wow she did an awesome job. She is strong and able to really dig into the areas I needed work on. The hot stones was a nice added touch to the massage and the heat was welcoming to my sore muscles. After the massage and after getting dressed I went to the waiting area. I was given a plate of chocolate and water. I was asked if I would like tea or wine. I did opt for the tea this time which was very good. Annette and I talked about my massage and the areas I was tight in. I asked her if they had memberships. They do not but she does get her regulars.
