This was such an AWESOME experience. At first I thought, just another sauna but as I read more about the benefits I was eager to try it out. This is not like your typical gym sauna. When you arrive, you will be greeted by a friendly staff member. Alison, was there to give me a tour and talk me through what I would expect. She was very knowledgeable, professional and so kind. I look forward to seeing her next visit. Each room is private for you to relax, they all have t.v.s for your entertainment. Some of the rooms have showers, which you will absolutely want to do after. I never sweat more in my life, not even when I run town lake in the middle of summer. The last 20 minutes was a bit difficult since I was not use to sitting in a sauna for 45 min. I did feel light headed for about 15/20 min after. I anticipated that considering I have never done anything like that before and the amount I sweated. Alison was super helpful after, and mentioned she felt the same her first time. Once I got home my body felt extremely relaxed and I was in a happy mood. I've already told so many friends about trying it out, and look forward to my next visit. My only issues is that I live in north Austin so hopefully in the future they will open another location. I forgot to add how easy it was to communicate with them, I left some info out when I signed up online. I emailed them from the contact on the site and within 5 mins I had a response. I have been to several infrared saunas and by far this is the most upscale facility that I have been to. When your first check in, it is pretty unassuming and then when they lead you to your room (suite), it's like wow, this is cool! I love that they have a tv in each room with Netflix, Hulu, and etc all connected and setup for you. They provide plenty of towels and a cold eucalyptus towel (my fav) for afterwards, plus a description sheet of the infrared colors and the healing properties of each. I love to workout and then head here for an additional sweat/calorie burn session and catch up on my Netflix shows while disposing of unwanted toxins. The front desk staff is super nice and although they do not have bottles of water, you are free to fill up your bottle from their water fitration system. read more

This was the first sauna I've ever been in my entire life. I didn't know what to expect and I was a bit nervous. Here is my review: Pros: - Plenty of parking available - Staff was super friendly and even gave me a tour for my first time:) - Towels are available in the sauna 1 small one and 1 big 1 as well as the cold one for the end - Netflix is on every TV, they also say Pandora is but it isn't logged in so you'd have to log into your own account - There are weights available if you need them - There is a guide for stretches you can do while in the sauna - The sauna is adjustable to whichever temperature you are comfortable with - There are several lights you can choose from: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple Cons: - Their online site is horrible if you are trying to access your account - TIP: you have to scroll all the way at the bottom until you get to the calendar and on the upper right of the calendar, you will see a link that says 'my account' - this is where you can see the classes you signed up for - ALSO, You don't get an email confirmation for your class, or at least I didn't and I even checked my spam folder - this sucks especially if you easily forget things - The rooms have sliding doors, and are not sound proof, so you can hear all the commotion going on outside when you are in your sauna trying to "meditate" Honestly, once they fix their site and get sound proof rooms, I'd give this place another star. This was a really great experience! The staff was friendly and introduced me to how to really enjoy a sauna. Each sauna room has a tv where you can watch Netflix, hulu, prime etc... it definitely made the time (40 min) really relaxing... Now my relaxing was dancing to Beyoncé homecoming but i say all this is say i was comfortable! My only issue is the location is far for me sooo i cant wait til they open the location closer to the domain*fingers crossed* But i will definitely go again read more

The lady at the front desk was really nice especially since as she called me to ask if I was still coming to my 5pm appointment which I had wrongly thought was at 5:30pm. She gave me a tour of the facility and directed me to my room, she explained how it worked and there medical benefits you get from the IR heat and Chromotherapy. There is a tv with blue tooth speakers to take your mind off that your sweating and hot and a water refill station. I throughly enjoyed my time and felt very relaxed. read more

I was invited to try this sauna studio out for a free session through Yelp Elite! I reserved my room online or you can call by phone. They have a good amount of sauna rooms and you can have another person in the same room at an additional price of course. My room was pretty spacious with a TV that had Netflix in case you wanted to watch a show or movie while in the sauna. The sauna itself is a pod in the room that is self controlled and has infrared color that you can set to your liking based on the mood you want to feel. I was given 1 large towel and 1 smaller towel along with 1 eucalyptus infused cold facial towels which felt very refreshing during cool down. From what I was told each session is 40 mins long in the sauna with 15 mins for changing/cool down. I really enjoyed my visit here as I felt very relaxed and definitely got a good sweat out of it. The sauna temp was less than the heat index outside. When I asked if I could use a different one that was actually heated, I was told they were all full or "also not very hot." Ironically, I was there to see about a membership. I am not sure what you are paying for if the main reason you go is for the heat. Also the shower head was broken. read more

I love sauna and was very much looking forward to this Yelp Elite event. I started to book my appointment t online, but something happened and I was not able to complete it. Since I did not receive email confirmation, I called. They registered me by phone. When I showed up for my session, the staff was very nice, showed me around. I was impressed with cleanliness. When she explained me everything how it works, I undressed, then tried to pick you tube meditation, but was unable to do so. I wrapped myself in my towel and went up front for help. Even the employee was not able to figure it out, and asked me to change rooms. In the new room I did not have any problems with you tube. Positives: cleanliness, service, relaxation. A few negatives for me: being 5'11", I was not able to lie down on the benches straight, I had to bend my knees. Also the ceilings in sauna were very short, it was only like an inch when I stood up. I would have liked to stretch my arms up but was unable to do so. They had some handouts with stretches and in general the set up was nice. I wish sauna rooms were a little bit larger or at least taller. I felt the benches were too narrow for me, a small person, to lie down, not talking about an average person. I love sauna, but I don't think I would come back. There was a nice water equipment to refill water bottle in the lobby and the water tasted very yummy. I booked a 6:30 pm session on a weeknight at perspire Austin. Super clean facility, kind, helpful staff and really nice water. (Seriously so good) After I checked in I was quickly lead to my sauna room 7 (apparently room #7 is one of the larger ones- woohoo!) for my 40 minute session. While you're in the sauna for 40 minutes, you're allowed 55 in the room to accommodate dressing and undressing time. Each station has its own Netflix equipped tv and each sauna has Bluetooth connected speakers inside of it so there is no audio obstacle. I personally played planet earth () and chose to leave the audio on mute. This sauna allows you a variety of lighting color choices with different apparent health benefits. I ended up changing the lighting color every 5 minutes or so. (But tbh stayed in blue the most often. Very relaxing.) Once my 40 minutes in the sauna had passed I got out, toweled off, and redressed to drive home. No one kicked me out which was nice. That would've been very un spa like Showers are available mainly for subscribers. I'm sure if you asked nicely they would take pity on your sweaty self and let you in. I skipped the shower in lieu of my own at home but would probably want to rinse off if I was doing anything directly following Bc the sweat was REAL. Been here 3 times now, and I feel so amazing after my 40 minutes at 140 to 145 degrees! They have 13 saunas. Some have showers in their rooms. You have a tv that you can watch netflix, or youtube, or whatever you desire in your 40 minutes. Towels are supplied to you, and there is a water machine that filter and alkaline your water in your own reusable bottle. The staff is always friendly and informative. The whole place is very clean from the moment you step in, to stepping out. There is a promotion going on right now, which I'm taking advantage of before signing up for a package deal. I've tried this place twice - among many others around Austin - and am uncomfortable going back. I want to, since few other places have showers, but the Westlake location seems to be falling apart: doors don't work, locks are broken, 3 of the 5 shower rooms aren't working, staff is friendly but lazy, and not a hand sanitizer bottle in sight. As someone recovering from long Covid (and using infrared saunas to recover), I can't help but worry that the lack of care I see includes poor hygiene and sanitation. No money is being put back into this place to keep it functional or safe. I hope the owner cares enough to look into it and do something. Until then I won't be back. read more

This place use to be great and worth the investment....but the new management is awful. The employees don't seem happy to be working there any more.. rarely do I see a smile. It's really sad because this place use to be a nice luxury in my life-- read the review I wrote a year ago--- the level of customer service has changed drastically. The personalized text messages are non existent and the rooms are never customized upon arrival. The bathroom door lock hasn't worked in weeks. The only time I have ever received a message is when I was notified to bring my own towel because they ran out of towels? For an expensive membership you would think towels would never be an issue. Also, I have had my sauna sessions cancelled on me last minute due to sauna mechanic issues, again I know things happen but a phone call would have been appreciated! Where is the above and beyond customer service??! So disappointing. Decided to terminate my membership. read more

I am a monthly member here, and if things go right, I love Perspire. My warning to customers would be, do not go early in the morning. Twice over the past few weeks I have walked in for a 7am appointment and been warned "the sauna isn't up to temp yet". Not much you can do other than deal with a sauna that's at 82 degrees when you walk in, and 110 when you walk out after 40 min. Not even close to the 140 I prefer. This morning was exactly that, also they didn't have any of the cool towels to use after your session. When I asked the front desk if a refund on the monthly credit was an option, she didn't even entertain asking her manager, or attempt to help, just gave me a "no". I'm not sure if they turn the saunas off each night or if the morning shift is supposed to get there in time to heat them up, but someone is dropping the ball big time. I'll be looking at my contract with perspire today to see what I need to do to cancel. read more

This was my first time using an infrared sauna and definitely had no idea until I did a little research. I was also able to bring in a first time guest which was a plus! When we arrived, the front desk girl Aliana was very nice & personable. She gave us a tour and gave us the run down! Very informative! I had room #11 which was a little bigger than room #8 that my fiancé had ... hehe The room was very spacious and had a tv mounted on the wall for you to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc which was anther plus. The infrared sauna was awesome; you can adjust your temperature. I sweated so much ! Yay for calories burned! I also love the cold towel they leave outside the sauna for you which also smelled good. The only downfall I had was that I could hear all the conversations and people talking outside my room which was a little disturbing but other than that, I may come again to try. read more

This was my first time at this establishment. This visit was compted because I was evaluating it as a Yelp elite however, this has not influenced my review. I arrived about 10 minutes early because I had to drive a hour from my home to this sole location and was able to immediately start my session. Initially, I was given a tour of their establishment and informed that they can accommodate individuals with physical limitations. Next, I received a three minute overview of the sauna experience which was helpful because I had never been to this type of a sauna. I really appreciated the three laminated information cards so that I could review it during my session. I spent a minute reviewing them in the sauna and in doing so, I could hear the staff member repeating to another guest the same information that I just heard. This told me just how much noise and voices carry thoughtout the facility. Once the session started, I found the experience enjoyable and having a television with speakers directly inside the booth was great. I enjoyed being able to control the temperature, lights and volume during my session. I was disappointed in a few ways during my visit. The first, I would have appreciated having some type of chime that went off after my session so that I didn't have to keep looking at the clock behind me especially, if I fell asleep during my visit. Second, this room (which was a larger room) only had single hook on the wall but, I found myself having to lay my clothes on a chair instead of hanging them up along with my coat which resulted in wrinkles. Third, I did get an email reminder the day before but, I would have preferred to have received a text message reminder a few hours before my session. I was a little confused my first time booking and seeing "IR" and not knowing that this meant "infrared red" in addition, I didn't know the differences in the rooms so that I knew which one I should choose from. Lastly, the menu of prices were for me very affordable and if they had locations closer to my home, I would purchase the unlimited sessions. I will likely take my partner here to try out the establishment for a single session. read more

It's my favorite thing to do for myself, and I truly look forward to going to every session--not only for the myriad health benefits--but for how positive the environment is and how great I feel afterwards. Some people have their daily coffee ritual, but Perspire is mine. The staff have become my friends, people I look forward to seeing before each session because they are all such kind people. The positive atmosphere is so uplifting, and the sauna session itself always makes me feel like a brand new person. It's worked wonders for my skin and my energy levels are better than they've ever been. The studio is always spotless, a seemingly difficult task when you're voluntarily sweating buckets, but the staff does it with ease and grace. Plus, because you get your own personal sauna room, you can personalize your experience with whatever sauna settings, Netflix or TV you want to watch, and in some rooms a nice shower. I just think this is such a cool place and it's executed so well! I've been trying to find places I can go to for health and wellness during these times, that don't require being around a bunch of people with a mask, and this place is perfect for that! You get your own room with a sauna, shower (some rooms don't have showers), chilled cloth, towels, and a TV with all the normal streaming services. I visited for a complementary yelp elite session last week, and I had an enjoyable time. I called in to reserve my session. The online site was a bit confusing. But a quick phone call made scheduling short and sweet. If I were to make another appointment, I would just call in (while using their website to see which rooms and times are available). Anna Louise provided a quick tour of the studio. I think they did a great job optimizing their space with the number of sauna rooms. Note: they have rooms that are handicap friendly and group-based. Plenty of towels available during the session. A cold towel for after the session. Each room has a TV and other small handout guides (explaining stretches or lighting options that could be beneficial). I did not use the TV because I wanted to meditate in silence. But Anna Louise explained that the speakers are bluetooth inside the sauna box (the TV sits outside the box). And if you want, you can request a particular show be ready for you when you arrive. I can't speak on price because I didn't pay for this session. And I didn't have a chance to review the pricing model. read more

I like Perspire a lot. I'm a member, come regularly, and hope to continue to. I'm reconsidering after my last visit though. Everything was great and I appreciate the Covid protocols the majority of the staff takes into account. It all seemed for nothing though, as the front desk rep this evening didn't wear a mask (while all others appeared to), nor was there any sign she even had a mask with her at work. The front desk rep was polite and professional, but I can't help but feel that this was a gross oversight which puts patrons at risk. I understand the pandemic may be improving, but we're not out of the woods yet and now is not the time to slack off with Covid protocols. I chose Perspire in part because they advertise covid safety protocols . I would have contacted Perspire via email or other means, but I couldn't find a good way to contact anyone regarding this on their site. This review would go up to a 5 star if not for this. Sauna is my "Me Time". I'm a busy working mom and love when I can take time away to go to Perspire, since I started about 4 months ago. I sleep so well at night afterwards, and generally feel energized for days. I would go at least twice a week if I could, but I just can't get there that often. Love that I can watch my fav shows on Hulu completely uninterrupted. Can't even bring my phone into the sauna since its so hot, which really helps me unplug. I have multiple autoimmune issues and feel that if I went more frequently (at least 2x/wk) that would really help my conditions. No complaints here. I love it. read more

These are extremely nice saunas that are cleaners regularly and have infrared light. Some of them even have showers! It's a great place.... ....When the wifi works. For the last few months, every other time I've been in, the wi-fi has been down, which is extremely annoying. It means you can't use the TVs for anything - no YouTube, Netflix etc. This has been a pretty persistent problem, and the staff I talked to said they've had lots of complaints. So I'm not sure why management doesn't seem to care about fixing it. I'll happily update this review if they do, but until then, this is pretty annoying. You might as well just go to your regular gym sauna. read more

What a fun time! Personal-size and group-size saunas. You can control the temperature in each sauna down to the degree. There's a TV in the room (I played music the whole time). There's a fun light-source optimizer thing that allows you to choose the kind of light that's shining on you for different health benefits. The whole place is super chill and very accommodating. I've been coming to Perspire Westlake since they opened for business and highly recommend this studio. The staff is friendly, the facilities are spotless and the infrared saunas are amazing. The large flatscreen TVs featuring NetFlix/Hulu/et al, in each room with Bluetooth speakers allow me to watch the news or catch up on a show or just relax during my appointment. I broke my hip early this year and wasn't able to do my usual workout routine (or really anything at all) and was loosing my mind. A friend suggested Perspire to me, claiming that others were raving about this new IR sauna. I purchased the introductory week pass and I never looked back! This sauna is refreshing for the mind and body. Not to mention the staff is wonderful! I'm greeted by name, genuinely cared about my recovery post-op, and always set up my room with my favorite TV channel IR color, and temperature. Honestly I'm absolutely addicted to Perspire and their infrared saunas. It is super easy to book your appointment through their App. The staff is very helpful and they even rescheduled my appointment for later in the day when I found out that I had a last minute conference call during the original time that I had booked. I have an injured knee from a car accident that happened last year. Since I started going to Perspire about 6 months ago, I've had a dramatic improvement in pain, soreness, and mobility! I love that you get your own individual room so it's very private and comfortable. They have a large flatscreen TV in every room so you can watch Netflix or put on some music during your 40 minute session. I highly recommend getting the 7 day pass and trying it out for yourself. $59 for my partner and I to share a 45 minute sauna session without access to a shower. We came for detoxification benefits and without a post-sauna shower, some toxins get reabsorbed into the skin. The facility is nice but I judge it to be mismanaged in regard to curating a healthful experience for all patrons and offering fair pricing. read more
