I had a friend visiting from out of town and we decided to get massages at the Fairmont. The facilities were so nice. We spent like five or six hours there super luxurious very relaxing. Massage was amazing and the facilities are so beautiful. Great view of downtown Austin.

We were visiting from Houston to celebrate a bride to be. The spa is within the hotel on the 6th floor. Parking is validated if you aren't staying at the hotel. The front desk was very welcoming and we were given a quick tour of the amenities which included a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. I absolutely loved the jacuzzi with its amazing downtown view. The robes were very comfy and plenty of towels everywhere to use. I really enjoyed the cold towels with aromatherapy. There is a relaxation room with light snacks, water and variety of teas where you can sit and wait for your massage therapist to call for you. We were surprised by complimentary desserts since we were celebrating a birthday and bride to be! You can order food off a menu but wish there was a separate dining area because it was disruptive to hear others eat and chat loudly while you wait to start your massage. I loved my massage therapist who took great care of me and made me feel very relaxed. The shower was very clean and had aromatherapy to spray while you showered. There were alot of complimentary toiletries as well. The checkout process was easy and we received a complimentary gift set too. It was a great and relaxing experience, in which I would definitely want to try again.

Had a nice couple's massage with bestie at the Fairmont Spa on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived early and drank some prosecco while relaxing in the lounge. The massage was great and then we took a dip in the hot tub after. I love that they have so many amenities in the spa; They have the lounge, the hot tub with a view of the city, a shower with the best smelling Le Labo products, and both a steam room and a sauna. Amazing experience! I will be back.

Their massage therapists know what they are doing! I love how they heat your robe in a towel warmer while you're having your massage. The decor really got me. It felt so zen. Pricey, but worth it!

Fairmont Spa was selected as a destination for my bachelorette festivities. Forty minutes before my 10am appointment was set to begin, we received a call that the massage therapist I was scheduled with was no longer working that day. I was the only person in my party of 6 to be affected and was given the ludicrous choice to either steal one of my guests' appointments or to rebook at 5pm long after we'd be gone. I was calm because what else can you do but was shocked by the lack of customer service, poor communication and sad attempt to remedy the situation. I was offered to use the spa facilities for the day - thank you for letting me attend my own bachelorette party event. I would absolutely not recommend for a group or a special occasion, Fairmont Spa can't be trusted to honor appointments or make good on ruined celebrations. One star for the solarium although it only had 3 lounge chairs and one star for the facials that the rest of the party seemed to enjoy.

I loved my experience at the Fairmont, but I do wish the spa area had more seating arrangement because it is quite small in there.

The massage itself was amazing but the lounging area needs to have more seats. The spa was packed and only 3 lounge chairs are available.

I used to get massages on a regular basis but fell off the massage wagon. A friend of mine highlighted that she has gotten massages once a month for the last 14 years. I was definitely behind the 8 ball on massages. My friend's long-term revelation was eye-opening, so I decided to get a massage today with Green Care Massage, which is located on W. Parmer, next door to Tomo Sushi. My massage choice was a deep tissue massage. Those polls are not for curtains!!! When my massage therapist asked me could she work on my back, I thought, I said yes. What she actually said was can I "walk" on your back. In my head, I was thinking why do her hands feel like feet...because they were feet! Snappity, snap, snap...I was getting a full on Ashiatsu massage (also known as back walking massage or barefoot massage). If you are not aware, Ashiatusu is a technique where the massage therapist uses their feet to apply deep pressure while holding onto overhead bars for balance and control. The word "Ashiatsu" is a Japanese word meaning (ashi=foot and atsu= pressure.) Apparently, my back was so tight I needed Ashiatsu first. My massage beginning to end was incredibly effective and rejuvenating experience. From the moment the session began, it was clear the massage therapist was highly skilled and knew her craft. The deep, slow strokes and focused techniques worked through my knots and tight muscles, especially in my back and legs. While there were moments of intensity that you would expect with deep tissue work, it was never painful (pressure...no pain). Afterward my body felt like it had exhaled and breathing fresh air.... well worth the time and money. I could feel the tension evaporating with each targeted movement. It is important note, I felt soreness in my neck and back during the massage that I did know existed previously. After the massage session, I noticed a significant improvement in my mobility and range of motion. My usual stiffness had disappeared. I do not know if I will get a massage once a month, but I certainly will not wait too long before another one.

When you get upstairs, such an easy-going, clean and relaxing environment, without the stress of hearing conversations in massage rooms next door or waiting in the room looking up each time a massage therapist walks out. It's one-on-one in his apartment and it's setup very comfortably. Now let's talk about Christopher - the nicest person you'll ever meet and you just want to be friends and hang out all the time. He's very adaptive to whether you want a quiet time to catch up on a nap, which I did last time, or a conversation about speakeasies that distracts from some of the pain of releasing tight muscles. Before he starts, he's a good listener and asks insightful questions to provide maximum relief. Once you're on the table, he's also very perceptive to what areas need more attention. He's kind, effective and truly cares to make sure his client has had a productive massage session. He doesn't rush you out but rather spends a few minutes on feedback to make sure you feel good. So easily a five-star experience!

I am a bit of a massage snob but honestly it's bananas to me that I couldn't seem to find anyone in the entire Austin area that seemed to know what they were doing- and I tried them all. Spas , private practice, sport masseuse physical therapy massage therapist you name it. Enter Chris. He knows the anatomy of your body so he is a true healer. I can't stress how important it is for a massage therapist to know anatomy. My tendinitis and tennis elbow always flares up throughout the year. I've had to go to acupuncture in the past but Chris has changed that! Now I just have to see him for a few sessions and it's gone! It's amazing. When I told Chris of my struggles with finding someone good he explained to me that in Texas massage therapist / masseuse only have to get HALF of the amount of hours needed to get licensed that people in New York need! Which explains a lot ! His setup is in his apartment ( which is common in NYC so it didn't bother me ) but for anyone wondering if that's sketch- it's not ! It just allows his pricing to stay competitive. Honestly - you will not be disappointed with a massage from Chris. The best of the best of the best. 100000000000 stars !!!
