This place was recommended by a friend that couldn't rave enough about this place and have been experiencing back problems so rather than scheduling online and being in the area, I stopped by to see if they had time for a session. Took me back to a room, not a word was spoken of instructions, nor who my masseuse or masseur would be, and walked away. Due to the language barrier, I was not able to explain the problems I've been experiencing or express sensitive areas. When the gentlemen arrived, I was not given any direction but I knew he was asking me to remove my top as he tugged at my shirt. This was my first time and didn't know what to expect. So I did what was supposedly asked then laid down and face planted on the most uncomfortable table. There was nothing fancy or frills about this place but it seemed clean. Before he began, I asked if there was anyone I can speak with who spoke English but he chose to ignore me and started digging into everything. I've had a deep tissue massage before many moons ago however I was hoping for a more basic one to hit my painful areas. He just dove in and started going at it so I laid there and bit the bullet. Luckily, I only could handle 30 minutes since I was already in pain and was confident that this could help my back spasms that I've had for a week. Once we were done, I was glad we were done and thought I felt ok and of course over tipped as I do! Two days later, unfortunately it hadn't worked out my discomfort however I would return under different circumstances. The uncomfortable table may not have felt comfy for my spasm back, I wasn't expecting a miracle, however I was hopeful that it could help a little. I may have a bigger issue. The reason for the 3 stars review- she forgets some areas that I circled which body parts that have high tensions. She did most of the parts that I circled and forget a few (forearms, right shoulder, and right foot). There were few things that I didn't like at all and made me uncomfortable. The place is clean and semi inviting, even though it's in one of those areas. I get a lot of messages, and this one seemed good at first but then I noticed that the movement used on my back was very repetitive. There was very little variety. But that's probably because of communication. Which I can understand. But what I don't understand is this. I paid $140 (70 for me and 70 for my partner) for the service. And on top of that I gave a $30 in tips which I thought was a good enough. Apparently that was not the case. They were very demanding and asked me for more. In fact they looked at my 30 dollars tip like it was found in the gutter... After much push back. I gave them an additional 10 which's adds up to 40 dollars in tips. The sad part (for them) i would've probably came back for more massages had they not turned me off with them demanding 30% in tips... I will keep my money and go somewhere else next time. Was very happy with my 1hr massage for $50. Some of the reviews on here about feeling bullied to tip more.... did not occur during my visit at all. The only mild complaint I have is the language barrier. It's can be hard to schedule an appointment and they don't ask for a name, they just say... see you at 11:30... or whatever your appointment time is. Also a lot of review mentioned how the pressure wasn't what they wanted, time cut short, or a distracted therapist... none of these things occurred during my visit. We were then told that we still owed $10 more; the price is $50 plus $10 tip each.
