Anita fixed things I didn't know were broken. I had the January special which was 20 minutes chair massage, 20 minute facial massage and 40 minute foot/hand reflexology. I was truly skeptical of a chair massage, but it was amazing. I couldn't believe it. She was gentle where I needed it, hard pressure where I needed it, and sweet deep stretching. Warm neck weights, a hot foot soak... it was all just lovely... so relaxing... The space is amazing. High ceilings, luxurious curtains, calm music, soothing and warm lighting... I wanted to move in. Tea and a worksheet of stretches to do at home to continue the work she started ended the visit. I will definitely go back, and recommend Anita to my friends. I LOVE the atmosphere and the energy of the space, the owner is an architect I believe and the way she designs shows! So relaxing and tranquil. This place is super relaxing. The back area is dark and there's ambient music and a waterfall. Definitely the most "Zen" massage place I've been to. Thai massage is amazing if you haven't tried it. It's like stretching or yoga combined with massage. My only qualm is the past two times I've gotten acupressure the chair I was in was rocking once they tipped me back which was rather disconcerting considering the angle. I also don't like that they've started using oil for the acupressure and chair massages. I have sensitive skin and the first time it burned my skin and the second time they used a mild one but I was still all slippery when I left. I don't understand why the staff is constantly leaving and being replaced. As soon as I get a favorite, they're gone. I suppose the atmosphere makes up for it, but it could improve. read more

To start off this nice review I want to state that I'm also a service provider (an esthetician) and with the job comes a lot of muscle fatigue and lots of knots. Having had a particularly grueling week with work and also struggling with pain management (from a past surgery) I walk in looking crazy and asking about walk in time slots, a wandering if they could fit me etc. (I was desperate) lo and behold they had been slammed all day but found a 40 minute arm and hand reflexology spot juuuust for me!! It was for 5:20pm and it was currently 3:30pm but it worked out perfectly. Also what is amazing is that they offer other service providers 30% off on Mondays and that's just a godsend. Once I arrived I was greeted promptly by my massage therapist Chandra, who was so warm and loving. I was beyond excited to lay down and take a lose off. it all felt amazing, the chair, the music, the foot soak, my therapist was just the sweetest and had amazing depth to her massage her pressure was perfect and for the time she was given she got a lot done. She was proficient and smooth and her timing on both sides of my body was pretty impeccable. It's always a challenge to make sure both sides of the body have been worked on for equal time because it creates a feeling of balance and Symmetry so that's talent. I purchased two add ons bc why the hell not! it's great for your service provider and I'm obviously there to relax and enjoy myself. I was so surprised to have had that much pain relief with something so simple and she even worked on my neck and shoulders. ( I feel amazing today and I can't stop smiling it's just what I needed.) Over all my experience was that this space has very loving, talented therapists/service providers who work hard. No human provided service will ever be perfect but it can be enjoyable and relaxing if you go in with an open mind. Your provider will definitely pick up the vibes your giving out so always go in with some acceptance to try and make everything more cohesive. Thank you Zen Well! I have been going to Zen Well for several weeks now, and I can honestly say it has been the best experience! I see Chandra for prenatal massages, and she works wonders. It is usually hard for me to completely relax and "let go", but with Chandra I feel confident that she will take care of me. Her warm personality is reassuring. She is knowledgable and does different stretches depending on where I have pain/stress. My back pain has decreased significantly since going to Chandra. I look forward to seeing her every week! I purchased a gift certificate to this massage business for my mother in law for her birthday. When I came to town to visit her she invited me to go with her. I was very impressed with the customer experience. My massage therapist, Lisa, made sure to ask me questions and did an excellent job focusing on my tight areas with the amount of very firm pressure I requested. The first half hour of the massage was in a reclined chair with foot soak and reflexology. As someone who gets cold easily I especially enjoyed the warm neck wrap and soft blanket tucked around me during this first portion. The last hour was in a curtained alcove with on a memory foam mattress on the floor. I would rate this my second favorite massage ever, behind only a hot stone massage. I wish ZenWell was in Denver Colorado so I could return again soon! read more

I would highly recommend Zen Well to anyone seeking amazing services and a relaxed atmosphere! Today I received a 40 minute chair massage from Jessica, who was very attentive and catered to my specific needs. She was also very friendly and easy to talk to. Typically, I don't like much conversation during a massage, and Jessica was great in this aspect. We spoke just enough to feel comfortable with each other and to figure out the specific areas that needed attention, and then I was left to my own thoughts. It was wonderful and I feel much looser and relaxed after the massage. Surprisingly, 40 minutes only cost $40! I've paid nearly three times that for massages in the past only to walk out feeling less relaxed than I do today. Great value! The atmosphere was very peaceful as well. Quiet meditative music was playing and the lights were dimmed low, allowing me to enjoy the experience and find some inner peace. After the chair massage, I spent 40 minutes in the infrared sauna, something I had never experienced before but would highly recommend. Unlike a traditional steam sauna, the air was very thin (i.e., not humid or stifling) so I was able to spend more time in the heat and was able to sweat a lot! There is also a TV in the room, so I was able to watch Netflix. I imagine they will turn off the TV for those who want a meditative sauna experience, but for me, it helped pass the time and distracted me from the high heat. All the therapists I've tried at Zen Well are good, but Anita gives the best massage I've had in Austin! I've been living here 3 years and have been disappointed with several massage therapists at other locations in South Austin. I have 3 problem areas: 1. My neck. I sometimes wake up with stiffness and pain in my neck from improper side sleeping. My pillow is sometimes too flat or too high, very difficult to get it right. Anita is able to get my neck feeling really good in no time at all! 2. My shoulders. I get knots in them from stress. Anita gets in deep and works the knots out, without hurting me. I've had other therapists either have too light of pressure or too hard. Anita is just right! 3. My arms. I do a lot of typing and get a lot of pain in the top of my arms near the elbow. Anita knows exactly how to work this pain out. My arms feel so much better after she works on them! I highly recommend Zen Well. Everyone there is super nice, the place is very clean and QUIET (which I love), the music and lighting is very relaxing and they don't pressure you to buy packages. I hate places that do that! I always feel good after I leave here and SUPER relaxed. I'm self employed and the number 1 problem I have is stress - not able to be calm and relaxed often enough.
