I don't usually leave reviews but as someone who works customer service and is pretty understanding when times are rough and you're a lil grumpy because you're overworked but the staff is so rude, the guy who was checking me out was very short and sassy with me when I asked if everything was finale sale and then proceeded to complain to his coworker while helping me. I brought my dress home to find a hole on the bust because of the security tag!! They could have put it in a less noticeable spot if it was going to leave a hole that big or on the inside lining where you can't see it. Came in here around 5:30pm on a weekday. It wasn't busy at all. They have a sale going on so why not check it out right? I needed new work clothes. To my behold there was actually my size and the price was pretty good considering other brands selling similar knitwear for twice as much. I'm not sure how long the sale has been going on for, but most of the sizes left on the sale rack we're all large or XXL. I found one in my size, so it was a sure sign that I had to snag it! As for service, three associates walked past me and didn't say anything-one did smile though. The rest were folding clothes and what not. To my astonishment, the register on the second floor on the men's side was open, so I didn't have to trek downstairs just to check out. I feel as though downstairs is just as messy and more so hectic. However, the store is still clean, cold and smells nice. I browse their products online and they have a better selection, but many stores at malls never have all that online does, so it's fine. I would suggest that you get a size smaller, their men clothes run large on me and I'm quite skinny. Also, their return and exchange policy is 30 days. read more

This store has the worst customer service. The high school kids working at F21 have better customer service skills than these mid-twenty year olds. I was shopping in the kids section with a whole bunch of clothes in my hands and the girl working in the same section never said "hi", asked if I needed a bag, or acknowledged my presence -- standing literally 3 feet from her. She was more focused on folding shirts than assisting customers. Every single sales associate working in that store had zero customer service! What a pathetic existence! Not only do their employees AND management lack basic customer service skills, they all look like they just rolled out of bed. Next time they should leave the misery/attitude in bed! read more

I was looking for a skirt that was apparently the last one in the size I needed. (None online and other stores). When I asked for help looking for it someone told me it was like looking for a needle in a hay stack since the whole store was doing a liquidation sale. However, Josephine came up to me and ask what I was looking for and she was determined to help me. She was looking for more than half hour and finally found it in the storage room. Her kindness, determination, and work ethic is remarkable. I wish she made commission, but since she doesn't I wanted to tell everyone what an amazing person she is. Got upstairs to men's section wanted to try some stuff only to realize I am been followed around the store gentleman with blonde/ reddish hair I think was outside my fitting asking everything ok ? At first I was like yeah but when I went downstairs to meet my mom different lady I had seen upstairs with long hair ( Asian lady) walks towards me and asks me do you want a bag and that's when it clicked damn I'm being followed. I came for the slash it sale and bought some really cool distressed jean shorts for $12.50. Somehow, I feel like everything is "knock off" Dior, Moschino, Gucci and Chanel. Let's be real: quality of Zara clothes is not the best. I mean, you get what you pay for right? I have noticed that the quality of their clothes has declined over the years. But I do like coming in here to snag a few basics: bomber jacket, t shirts, skirts. Shoes are a hit or miss because you ever know if they'll be comfortable or not. It's a huge store with men's, women's, and kids so that's a plus! Most Zara's I have previously visited are not nearly this big. There's always a lot of selection and variety, but I do notice they go out of stock very fast. So if you see something online that you like, go in there right away. I can't applause them enough for their outstanding customer service!! I've had several encounters with various female employees and they've always been amazing. One time, I came in with about 10 items I saw online and wanted to find in the store. An employee helped me find every single one of them around the store! Another great encounter I had was with a girl named Isis. I asked her for a dressing room with the least amount of dust bunnies in it, because there always seems to be SO much dust accumulating in those dressing rooms. And I'm super allergic to dust: I break out in hives, get itchy all over, and sneeze nonstop. She was sweet enough to apologize and vacuum my room for me! What a sweetheart. Zara = Forever 35 I'll admit it, I cannot shop at Forever 21 anymore. I feel like a complete imposter because I don't want to show my mid drift or wear clothing trends I wore two decades ago. And you know what? I'm completely okay with that! I love my thirties, can't wait for my forties, mostly because I know how many stupid things I did in my twenties and soon my thirties. Knowledge truly is power. Okay so back to Zara, I randomly checked out Zara with my girlfriend Meg, not with the intention of shopping but mostly because I didn't have any children with me. If you have children you know that shopping with them can be a nightmare and if you ever see a woman screaming at the mall at her kids it is most likely me. It was their end of season clearance sale and everything was ridiculously priced to move. I pulled a bunch of items for a trip to the dressing room but alas, this fast fashion dream was not meant to be no matter how much I tried. Maybe I need to lose 10 pounds? Maybe I need to grow five inches? Maybe I no longer care enough about fashion to put in the enormous amounts of energy it requires? Maybe I'm just reaaally lazy? Either way, this very much explains why I wear so much yoga clothing on a daily basis. The entire first floor is women's clothing and on the day we visited the air conditioning was broken. It was insanely hot in the dressing room and I joked that this was God's way of saying that none of these items were right for us. After trying on my twelve no-go items we ventured upstairs to check out the men's and children's sections. The kids clothes are soooo cute and I know I'll be coming back here in the future with my screaming terrorists, aka my three children. Zara has great prices, especially now during the end of season clearance and the sales girl told us they get in new items every week. Having been to Zara at their Chicago location many times and their SF location once, this is by far the largest Zara I have ever been in. The women's section downstairs is especially refreshing, with ample space and very organized clothing racks and tables. What really sets the store apart for me is the affordable price for on trend, presentable business casual clothes. Basically, its the stuff of Ann Taylor or BR without the heavy price tag. I'm not about to pay $70 for a blouse. Nuh-uh. $25.99 at Zara? Sign me up! I have visited this Zara on 5-6 separate occasions, I'm addicted. I cannot leave the store without buying at least one thing, it's a disease...and I'm very very sick. (Although, to be fair, they have been having an amazing after Christmas sale.) You see..I'm kind of at that age where Forever 21 and even H&M to an extent, are getting extremely tiresome for me. I hate having to put in so much time and effort to rifle through piles of cheap clothes, that won't even last mind you, for something presentable and affordable for work. I am completely OVER IT. And that's why I'm thankful for Zara. For the most part, the quality is much much better, and having owned several tops from them, I can attest they are pretty durable. It was always just such a hassle for me to order online. Price wise tops can range as cheap as $7 to as much as $50 (depending on what you're willing to spend). The sweet spot is around $30, with most tops hovering around this price range, give or take 10 bucks. Full price, can be a bit of a splurge if your budget is like mine where I prefer less than $30 a top, but not to worry, wait for a big sale and get the bulk of your clothes then. I got a print shirt for less than $7 during the sale! The customer service here, at least when I was shopping, has always been pleasant. No one has been haughty, snobbish, or rude; ALWAYS kind, helpful, and sincere. Someone offered to start me a room when I was carrying way to many hangers on one arm. The cashier asked me how my holiday shopping was coming along. And the staff on the floor have always asked if I needed help, but in a polite way that isn't too intrusive. I really have no bad things to say, and unless I experience otherwise, I will continue to be a diehard fan of Zara. read more

I'm downgrading my initial review for Zara on the premise that I feel like businesses ought to make special accommodations for loyal customers. I've shopped pretty exclusively at Zara since it opened up, buying street and office outfits from them. Futhermore, I've promoted their business amongst my friends and co-workers who oftentimes ask where I find my stuff. So overall, I feel as if I've zealously supported this business. However, last week, when I tried to return a suit 3 days after purchase, they wouldn't let me return it because I had removed the tags. On the store receipt it says that returns can be made w/ a copy of the receipt and w/in 30 days of purchase. In fine print at the very bottom of the receipt, it mentions that items must be w/ tags. Anyway, it's not straight-forward and while I didn't argue any further w/ the floor manager, let's be real - it's just tags. Anyway, I felt that if they are going to be this picky with returns, especially after I've been extremely supportive and a long-term, repeat customer, then I can start browsing elsewhere, like Nordstrom, with more liberal return policies. read more

O-M-G, Zara has finally arrived to Hawaii! I remember when I was in SF a few years ago and the cashier told me that they were opening a location in Hawaii and after a few years I kind gave up hope. I didn't want to get my spirits up too much because that's what I did with H&M and they do not have kids clothing, luckily Zara is a different story. Yassshh! They have kids clothing and a pretty large selection. They are located on the 2nd floor and I just love their clothing because its reasonable with the latest trends. The workers are extremely friendly and helpful and they have lots of cashiers to finish up your purchase. I asked for boxes but they had cute little paper bags instead, kinda unique and modern to use instead of boxes. The only drawback was that the elevator was not working and the escalator is a little narrow for strollers to hop on, we had a mishap because it was quite tight to move our stroller around. I love Zara!!! The store is located in the new wing of Ala Moana. At first stepping into the store is intimating as one would think the prices are high as the store has that high end feel but prices are surprisingly very reasonable. They offer women's, men's as well as children apparel. My daughter and I shop here mostly for their jeans but they have a huge selection of clothing for different styles. I like shopping here because the clothes are still trendy but more on the mature side. I don't know if that sounded right. Lol. In other words for some reason I just can't comfortably or proportionally fit into clothes from Forever 21 or Jeans Warehouse anymore :( Zara is awesome! read more

Just spent a day in Oahu this weekend and ended up there twice. Heard about Zara before but didn't know anything about their men's clothes. Ends up I love the style of the men's selection. Modern and it runs the gamut from semi-street to semi-formal. Quality is great and the large 2 level store was very clean and orderly when we went around 9:30 am. Also was able to find assistance right away in sizes (European sizes are boldly displayed) and checking out. Which brings me to the reason why I give it 4 stars. (3.5 if you'd like to get technical) When we returned around 5 pm, it was completely torn apart, and although the staffing appeared the same, they seemed to be losing their steam as there was only one register open upstairs and several employees that were more interested in talking to each other than helping the people in lines and needing assistance. Wife couldn't get a register in kids department either. All in all a good experience but hopefully they can keep up the good work as we only visit Oahu 1-2x a year and I'd like to come back to still see them thriving. read more

The store is tidy. Good selection and pricing is your standard zara pricing. Zara kids were beautiful too. On floor staff were rude when I accidentally knocked something (maybe a part of their rack?) when I was flipping (gently!!!) through the clothes. I had no idea what that piece was so I slid it under the clothes so no one would trip on it. Then the staff came out from behind me and snatched it roughly before trying to fix it. I didn't know that she was there otherwise I would've handed it to her. Didn't want to say anything as I had my kid with me. Been to a few zara in a few countries and this was the first zara where I wasn't greeted or checked up on and I was there a while. I was really excited when I heard that Zara was going to open at Ala Moana but I had no idea that I'd be spending all of my money buying clothes and shoes for my two girls and not myself! I am pretty much in the kids department of this store every week to check out the latest markdowns. Even at regular price, the clothes are so affordable and good quality but when their stuff goes on sale, it is dirt cheap. I've bought t-shirts and a pair of sweatpants for my daughters for $3.99. I've been a Zara fan since I bought a suit at their Vegas store. Their stuff fits well and is designed to mirror current trends. The price is always a plus. Went into their store today and took advantage of their current sale. Bought a suit and a knit sweater for just over 100$. Although the fitting room attendant was a bit rude about the hangers, customer service was excellent. It's also worth mentioning that they have great garment bags. read more

Just wanted to say that I had my doubts about this store because all of the previous times I've been here, all of the workers have been very inattentive, unattractive, rude, and just had very poor customer service. I will say this though, one worker in particular, that goes by the name of Chris in the women's department was very helpful. I picked out some items from the woman's section for a look I was trying to pull together for a night out on Saturday and was helped by the most amazing sales girl, Jasmine. They didn't have the size I was looking for in these 2 pants I wanted to try so she sent me to the dressing room while she looked for a size I needed. She came back with the PERFECT pair of pants that I didn't even see! She was such a sweet heart throughout the entire thing. Finally a ZARA in Hawaii! I was more excited about this store opening than Bloomingdale's lol! The selfish part of me kind of wishes they didn't open here because now everybody and their moms is gonna have their stuff. Going to their mainland stores added to my traveling excitement lol. Today was the grand opening and thankfully it wasn't too busy when I went around 5pm. The store has 2 floors...bottom level all for women & 2nd level for men/kids. It's nice, spacious and clean. The dressing room was organized, however it took a little while for them to bring items I asked to exchange sizes for. But this was probably due to being a new store, so maybe the salespeople have yet to get their bearings down. I just went to a Zara in LA last month which had a ton of winter clothes, so I was worried that this location wouldn't have much selection for Hawaii weather. But I found a bunch of cute stuff! The salespeople I encountered on the floor, in the dressing rooms & at the register were all nice and friendly. There wasn't really a line at the registers, and although the checkout process took a while (again probably due to it being the 1st day and cause I bought a lot of stuff lol) I enjoyed my first visit to this store. The good thing about having a store here is our low sales tax lol! I'll definitely come back again :) read more

Extremely poor customer service. I tried on a pair of jeans in the store that seemed to fit well, and purchased them. The first time I wore them, within the first hour, the waist stretched out so much that they became unwearable. I couldn't walk a few steps without having to pull my pants up to keep them from falling down. When I tried to return them with the receipt, the manager was very cold and bluntly told me that they do not accept returns that were worn. I called the customer service line on 10/8 and explained that although the pants were worn once, the material must be defective because they stretched out significantly so quickly. The person gave me a case number and told me to send an email with photos of the jeans and the receipt. I sent a follow up email on 11/9 and then a second follow up email on 12/15. On 12/17 I received an email from Zara saying they had tried to contact me (they had not) to verify details about my case, and that I could call them or use their online chat system. Through the chat, Maria told me that no other similar complaints had been filed, so they would not issue a refund. I tried to explain that it is unfair to make customers responsible for defective items, and her response was "We apologize for the inconvenience." While I was typing a response, she ended the chat conversation. Really poor customer service. Be prepared to lose money on defective purchases; they will not be sympathetic. read more

I was at my hair appointment when my hair stylist told me about Zara, a H&M/Forever 21 fusion store that just opened recently so I went ahead and checked it out after I got my hair done since my hair looked nice so I might as well flaunt it around... lol Going into the store, it felt like another H&M and after checking out their children's clothing, it really is like an H&M but with a more European style than H&M. The children's clothing (girls) were adorable but the boy's clothing were cute but kinda weird looking...like almost dirty looking. Definitely un-American as far as the style goes. It didn't really appeal to me. As far as women's clothing, I found a couple of cute items but like I said, their clothing is very comparable to H&M with a little twist. Pricing is definitely similar. I'll probably go back to check out more items because I was in a little rush when I went. read more

I had some time to myself after my Saturday morning errands, so to Ala Moana I went. One of my stops was at Zara. I remembered seeing this cute cape blazer awhile back and thought, heck if it's here, it was meant to be. Since they have a ton of stuff, I figured to ask for help locating the item instead of running around looking like an idiot trying to find something that might not be in store anymore. So I ask a lady who was tending to a display at the entrance of the store. I said "excuse me" and proceeded to ask for help. The lady told me that she doesn't know what I'm talking about and legit tells me to "go ask someone else". I told her straight up that as an employee, she should know know her own store and use the tools that she has to assist a customer with locating an item or finding a style that fits the shoppers needs. She seriously looked as if she couldn't comprehend what I was saying and had this blank look on her face. I was pissed at her poor customer service that I was about to walk out, but then someone else asked her for help too and she full on waved them off like she didn't want to be bothered. Hand in the air, like "go away". Luckily another young lady came over and assisted me. She didn't have a store cellphone (which I assumed they use to look up items in their inventory) so she walked me to the dressing room and got me the assistance I needed. Thanks to this young lady I was able to find that cute cape blazer, which I will rock out at work, and she turned my experience into a sale - one that I was initially most happy to walk out on, due to Rude Employee number 1. Zara, your clothes are cute and I love the unique styles you have to offer especially since I'm required to dress up for work, but you've got to work on your employees and their lack of customer service. Since the pandemic started I haven't been to Ala Moana for a long time so on Saturday, I went to Ala Moana with my mom to check out the stores and shop. I went to Zara and immediately lack of customer service. They don't even greet you or even say a simple hi. The employees just look at you and just walk away. They don't even ask if you need help with anything. Anyways, so their policy was to wear masks in the store and this white dude with his two other white friends came in and he wasn't wearing masks. So, he was walking around with no mask and I'm 100% sure all the employees saw him. My mom, other customers and I kept on looking at him and around to see if he was going to be told to wear a mask. But no one said anything. So he was literally walking around the store upstairs, downstairs and waiting in line not wearing one. I'm pretty sure other customers and I felt uncomfortable. Also, two other white teens that wasn't part of that group came down the escalator with their masks not even covering their nose and mouth. Like what the f??? The employees didn't even say anything to the people who came down the escalator not wearing masks. Also, the cashier who is asian with round glasses and dyed hair who helped the guy with his two friends, didn't even say anything. If there was a zero star button I would've pressed it but the only good thing was that my cashier was nice. He seemed very professional and friendly. But yeah...Zara...you need to listen to your yelp reviews because majority are about your horrible customer service. Also, this is why there is going to be cases rising because y'all not following your mask policy and telling customers to wear. Guess what Yelpers? I finally own clothing from Zara! After many attempts of going in and out of there, I finally bought something. I mean FINALLY. It's a two story clothing store. Women's section is all of the first floor & Men and Children are on the second. There's so much space! OH & their fitting room mirrors are pretty cool. Like I said, I've been here on several occasions but haven't bought an item until now. Why? Because I always feel like I could buy something cheaper at H&M, Forever 21, or Nordstrom (Yeah, I like me some bargain). But I gave in! The variety of clothing for the women section is contemporary and offer more business attire than casual (which is a plus for me). What I liked about the associates on the floor was they ask you if you needed assistance with a size other than the customer asking first! THAT is always a great sign. What I didn't like about this place was that there was more associates wandering around the floor than being on a register. Seriously! I went to two different cashier locations, the one upstairs on the men's section (the cashier left the counter as soon as she saw someone coming) and then the one on the first floor, There were three of us in line and two cashiers; the guy cashier just left his register without acknowledging us. Mismatched Shoes: I am very disappointed with Zara and especially their Store Manager, Candice. My wife purchased a pair of shoes among other items at Zara, Ala Moana. When she decided to wear them she discovered that 1 shoe was size 38 and the other shoe was size 40. She asked me to return the shoes and get the correct matching pair in her size 40. I went to the store and when I arrived the alarm went off at the door. The sales person forgot to remove the sensor from one or both of the shoes at the point of sale. I went to the counter and explained the situation and they told me that because I didn't have the receipt that they would not be able to give me Store Credit. I asked them if I could have the correct size 40 pair and they found another pair. Unfortunately that pair was mismatched as well. 1 was a size 38 and 1 was a size 39. So there was no size 40 matching pair. They again refused to give me Store Credit without a receipt. I asked for the Customer Care number and they provided it to me. I called Customer Care who instructed Candice to call her Manager. After a brief conversation with her Manager I was told that they wouldn't give me Store Credit because there was a sensor on one or both of the shoes. So now I feel as though they are accusing my wife of stealing the mismatched pair of shoes. I decided to leave the store with the shoes and call Customer Care and tell them how I was treated. I called Customer Care and explained how I was treated and also provided them with the dates and amounts of money that I had spent at Zara just this year by going through my internet bank statements. I found 7 purchases just this year in the last 60 days. I was told how sorry that they feel and that they would get back to me. I was told that there is no way to track down my receipt even though they have the bar code from the shoes that I was trying to return for Store Credit. How is this not possible. They have a record of every transaction in every store. I want Zara to know that this is not the way to do business and especially to a very loyal client. I am very offended by the way I was treated and may not ever shop at Zara again. I plan to search my home for that paper receipt and expect a sincere apology. read more
