I came here with my date a few minutes before 11pm. This location closes at 11:30pm, however we were immediately told the kitchen was closing and to place all of our orders including dessert on the spot. We rushed to place our entire order. Then we were brought out one lemonade each, no refills although they are included. They forgot a portion of our order and our server had a very mild attitude which gave us the impression he was not happy to serve us and was ready for us to leave. He also brought the check while we were still eating and made it clear he wanted to close out the register. This all happened BEFORE 11:30pm when the restaurant supposedly closes. Needless to say, we will not be returning. Furthermore this is horrible service period, other food chains will actually sit customers a few minutes AFTER closing time and will not close the kitchen for another 30 minutes afterwards. I went to Yard House in Tysons Corner with a large group of classmates, and we only had a short break between classes. The staff accommodated us extremely well and made sure everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. The beer was great, as always, and you should definitely upgrade to the half yard. I sampled a few and ended up with an Old Bust Head Vixen. It's very close to a red ale and was very tasty. The bartender was awesome and had great knowledge of the beers and food. I ordered the Blackened Ahi Sashimi apetizer and Grilled Chicken Avocado sandwich with fries. The sashimi was amazing. Thinly cut pieces of Ahi with an amazing drizzle and a wasabi cream. Delicious start. The chicken sandwich was huge and had a healthy chunk of avocado. I tried to savor the sandwich, but ended up devouring it. It was tasty. Definitely a great place for lunch. They also have what looks like an excellent happy hour M-F. I'll be back for that soon. All in all, I'd recommend Yard House and will be back again. read more

It was around 1120 Saturday morning. I grab a seat at the bar. I expected more people but it was a nice day outside so I'm thinking that was the cause. I order a Yuengling and look at the menu. Yard house is definitely a new go-to for my friends and I. They honestly have some of the best drinks I have had in the DMV (and are made strong) which is perfect. The lavender drop, coco passion, and passion fruit spritz are always a favorite. It does get quite busy and we didn't have a great experience one time when we got a different server. We were left to order our own drinks on the device left on the table and weren't able to get them until 25 minutes later when our server appeared again. Other than that, every time we get Jonny as our server the experience is great. The truffle burger is also the best burger I have had in a long time. I normally go to another location of this restaurant and always have a good experience, so I decided to try this location for the first time. Unfortunately, the service we received was really disappointing. My friend ordered a beer and asked for a lime, but the lime wasn't brought out until much later and by then his beer was already getting warm. We also ordered dessert, and no spoons were brought out. Our server said he was going to grab them, but continued doing other things first while our dessert including melting ice cream sat at the table. What made the experience worse was that when we finally started eating the dessert without spoons, the server made a comment about us not waiting for them. Later, after waiting a while to pay our tab, I got up and walked toward the host stand to pay. The server stopped my friend and immediately accused us of trying to leave without paying, saying, "Where are you guys going? You still haven't paid." Once he realized we were at the host stand trying to pay, he rushed over to close the tab. I also want to add that I used to be a server myself and worked in fine dining, so I understand the industry very well. I know what it's like to be busy, overwhelmed, and juggling multiple tables at once. I'm usually very understanding when service is slower because of that. However, the service we received went far beyond just having a "busy server." The attitude and way we were treated throughout the experience felt rude and unprofessional. For what it's worth, it's okay. I generally don't go to Yard House but my friend decided where to eat. I was with a group of 8 and we were put on a wait list for about.. two hours? Initially we were unsure about waiting so long to eat and considered going somewhere else but we ultimately stuck with it and decided to roam around the mall for a bit. After an hour, we did end up getting a text message indicating our table was ready.. Now this is where I was unsure if communication was something I or the host seating me could have went wrong but we had two tables with one chair for both ends. In my opinion, the tables are small and with two, you could probably seat six people without using the sides. It was a bit baffling. Even before we sat down, we only had six chairs. We had to flag someone down to get chairs. They ended up going outside to grab two chairs from the outside section and brought it over to accommodate. It's fine. Everyone at this point was just really hungry and was just zoning out due to fatigue or maybe the music and the loud ambiance around them ( it's a sports bar yeah I get it ). I got the Parm Truffle Fries as my appetizer. For what it is, I really like the taste of Parmesan and White Truffle Oil paired with Parsley/Thyme. It was also fresh out of the fryer and I thoroughly had no complaints. My main entrée was the Cilantro Lime Chicken. Which it was grilled well and everything paired up to it was great ( the baby tomato relish, quinoa & cauliflower rice ), it was also really salty. I think if you are going to get this, probably just ask for water on side, it made me drink a lot. The plus side is they have those little kiosk machines that you can just pay at the table and split checks too. I wish more places have these as this is easier than flagging down the waiter to pay for your bill. I would come back but not on a Saturday where it's peak busy hours. That was more or so our mistake. However I do think since we were in Tysons Galleria, I'm sure anywhere we went to would have been busy too.. Came here for dinner with my family during happy hour so it was decently busy. We got a booth in the corner that fit all of us without any wait. We got the typical happy hour stuff like pizzas and the salmon, nachos, and some drinks. This review will mainly focus on the Korean cheesesteak. The bread was not that good. I feel like it was just too soft and flavorless. The sauce on the cheesesteak didn't really provide that much value and kinda was all you could taste. The meat was fine, nothing special. Even though Yard House has been around for quite a while, we never did manage to try one. That changed when we decided to try the one at Tysons Galleria. Figuring that since it's been open for a few months, they should have their act together, we headed there to have some dinner. We were here on a Saturday shortly before 5 p.m. which was a good time to go as they weren't very busy at that time. They have an extensive menu thus we were glad that we took a look at it before going out. When we arrived there, we were immediately greeted and seated in a booth. Our server arrived in a timely manner to take our drink orders. They listed 2 non-alcoholic beers on the menu and my husband chose one of them. I opted for a mocktail called "Pina Spritz" which consisted of: "seedlip spice, passion fruit puree, pineapple juice, lime juice, club soda, mint". After putting in our drink orders, our server came back to the table to tell my husband that she "had some very sad news" for him. They were all out of non-alcoholic beers. She made a suggestion that seemed very random to us, which was to encourage him to order a beer called "Daura Damm". So, my husband agreed to this. My drink arrived in a decent amount of time. It was okay. The pineapple juice seemed to overtake the other ingredients. There was supposed to be a sugar rim but instead of the rim, the sugar was down one side of the glass. As for the beer--- my husband thought it was nothing special. He didn't hate it but he didn't love it either. In fact, he said he doubted that he would ever order it again. We started with an appetizer and chose "spicy tuna stack" which consists of: "avocado, edamame, cucumbers, nori, wasabi soy sauce". The tuna was fresh and the wasabi soy sauce added good flavor. We thought there was too much cucumber and edamame. For my main course, I chose "sesame-crusted ahi tuna" which consists of: "seared rare, crispy garlic, sesame seeds, jasmine rice, charred baby broccoli, creamy ponzu sauce". The tuna was served rare and thickly sliced. I tasted no ponzu sauce. The baby broccoli consisted of mostly stems, some of which were so hard as to be inedible. The few florets that were there at least were nicely charred. The rice was properly cooked. My husband chose "whiskey glazed salmon" which consists of: "whiskey black pepper glazed, parmesan mashed potatoes, roasted carrots, baby broccoli". a small cup of sauce was also given. The salmon was on the dry side and the sauce helped give it moisture as it had a smoky, sweet, peppery taste to it. The parmesan cheese barely registered in the potatoes. He said that the carrots were barely roasted and some parts were too tough to eat. Also, like me, he got a lot of tough broccoli stems. As for the ambiance---it has a sports bar feel to it with high ceilings which lend themselves to creating a noisy environment when the place gets busy. We overheard our server telling the people in the next booth who had ordered their drinks... "I have some very sad news"... so...there were other beers that weren't available. With that in mind, then why not make up a list of what's not available each day? It would save the servers and the customers a lot of time. Our overall take --- We don't regret giving Yard House a try but we're in no rush to return. read more

We have been found to this restaurant quite frequently these days. Even though it's not as veggie friendly as I would like, there are decent number of items we can order as vegetarians. - Tomato Bisque soup -- this is delicious. I usually get the smaller size. - Avocado Toast -- I usually get this without the feta cheese. And it's quite yummy. The portion size is quite generous. - Brookie -- this is definitely one of my favorite desserts here. Perfect blend of hot brownie with vanilla ice cream. They also have the 'Gardein' wings here, which is the fake meat option for vegetarians. My brother loves it. I'm not a fan of the fake meat texture. But if you like it, definitely try the Gardein Wings. This is a fun sports bar and the ambiance is great. The service can be hit or miss. So if I rate it off of my first night experience, it was a solid four stars. So naturally, I had to return to see if it was a fluke. I came in for lunch, sat at the bar and gave the female our order. She poured me a Guinness in that tulip type of glass. Due to it being in that tulip glass, the Guinness was not settling properly. When the female bartender came over, I told her, and she acted completely stunned I was complaining about the glass. We went around and around with it needing a proper glass. She eventually took it, and was going to pour it into another glass. I had to stop her and educate her on the proper pour and why you can't do that with Guinness. Needless to say, our issues continued on from there. She became extremely inattentive at our end of the bar, and the male would not come down to our side either. It was so bad, that another customer walked in, sat down and waited for service, which he never got. He ended getting up and getting a hostess to seat him at a table. Also, our glass sat empty for a while. The food was good, but the service was beyond horrible. Noise level at lunch is fine, at night it's a bit loud and hard to hear your dining companions. Service at lunch was great when it wasn't busy and it's worth noting I was at a 6 top for lunch. Dinner last night was a 2 top and our waitress had a really large table. She was not great. However, management was circulating constantly and they handled our delayed drinks from the bar, missing side dishes, etc. With the team effort they did great. Came for the soft opening/friends and family and I am impressed! The staff all seemed to love working there and our server, Maurizio, could not gushing about how much he enjoyed working at Yardhouse. The place was a bit packed and I was afraid it was going to be chaotic for the amount of people they had waiting but the awesome staff got things moving quickly! The space has a sports club lounge vibe with tons of tvs playing lots of different sports games, and the expansive bar menu makes me excited to come back for happy hour. Large portions but not skimping on quality, I very much enjoyed the whisky glazed salmon but the really surpriser was the orange chicken! I would have never thought to order orange chicken from a non Chinese take out but I think I'll be thinking about Yardhouse's. The side salads are HUGE so take that into consideration; not at all a bad thing. We tried the chicken lettuce wraps (great flavor and good portion), fried calamari (pretty crispy), Margherita pizza (good proportion of cheese and sauce) and a cucumber mint soda (very refreshing). Overall, we enjoyed the food and the service. The server was very attentive and energetic. Food was a great deal during happy hour. Previous we've tried the blackened tuna and tuna poke but didn't get seafood Thai time (both were delicious and at a great price). I was excited that a new Yard House had opened near me. I've been to the one in the Rio center in gaithersburg for work happy hours. I visited the Tyson's Galleria location last week for happy hour and had a very nice time. Upon arriving, parking is plenty and close to the restaurant. They have a nice outdoor seating area and inside there is plenty of seating. We came in on a Tuesday for happy hour and it was packed! As we came up to the hostess area, service could've been better. There were plenty of people behind the counter to assist but we waited in line. We were finally sat in a booth and looking at our menus. They also have a device on the table you can order off of as well. Their happy hour runs Monday - Friday from 3 - 6 pm with half off appetizers, $2 off cocktails, beer, and wine. $3 off 9 oz wines and $4 off half yards. Pretty good deal if you ask me. For drinks, I ordered an espresso martini - so good I got a 2nd one. My friend ordered a sunset sangria and I had a taste. It was so good! I'll have to get one myself next time I visit. As for food, we ordered the poke nachos - these were on point. The thinly sliced jalapeños on top were delicious and spicy! Of course I had to order my favorite, chicken lettuce wraps. Delicious asian style chicken and tofu that comes in a giant wonton cup with butter lettuce and 2 types of dipping sauces. Yard house overall offers a nice chill environment.
