The flavors here are amazing! Great job Chef! When you arrive you will have to find parking. As no street parking is available. I parked valet across the street from the restaurant. The valet was $8. I was on the first floor and the walk from garage to there was 3mins. I highly recommend a reservation or arrive early for the wait. We did a walk in and the wait was 25minutes at 8pm for a table. So we opted to eat at the bar. The place was packed. This a great date night scene. They set a nice romantic vibe but not to over the top. The bartender even placed table cloth on the bar for it to be more intimate. I got the Large Spicy Jambalaya with spicy rice. It wasn't spicy at all and was amazing. You have 3 different types of rice you can choose to have the Jambalaya. I have ate here twice. Once a pick up order and now in person. Both times I got the Spicy Jambalaya. The Mai Tai was great as well. The salmon was honey glazed and tastes as great as the Jambalaya. I'm going to be torn with the rest of the menu since these were so great. I have not been to the Yard house in years as each time I walk past, there is a long line and mob of patrons waiting to get in. Today, it was about 4 pm and was just looking for something small to have with some cold drinks. We were seated immediately in the rear and took advantage of the happy hour prices. The disappointing thing was that we were informed there was no pizzas available for unknown reasons. Our server came over promptly to take our order. You can also order drinks and HH menu from the tableside tablet. We ordered three appetizers, the spinach dip, chicken tofu lettuce wrap and brussel sprouts. All items were about $10 which is 50% off the regular price. I was more satisfied with my diet coke to give me some energy on this hot humid hawaiian day. All the appetizers were good portions but nothing was spectacular. I was even further disappointed to see pizzas being carried out to other patrons later that afternoon. Highly recommend for families! We have a toddler and baby. The toddler devoured the kids steak. The other items we got were tacos, a special German pork chop, and the truffle cheese burger. The sports bar is located at the Waikiki Beach Walk which is only a few minutes' walk from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel where we were staying. Had we driven, we would have parked at the nearby Royal Hawaiian Center Parking Garage, less than a two-minute walk away. I did not venture out much further than our table in the dining room facing the bar, but the venue appeared to be spacious and clean. They have a very small patio for dining al fresco at the front entrance. Too tiny to accommodate large parties, though. Yard House has an extensive menu. Below are some items that I tried: THE COCO PASSION - Rum-based cocktail from their VACATION MODE section. Meh. I won't order it again. BAJA TACOS - I ordered the combo of one each of beer-battered whitefish and beer-battered shrimp. The tacos were good. I probably would have enjoyed this plate more if it consisted only of tacos with no side of SPICY RICE & PINTO BEANS. KALE & ROMAINE CAESAR - Very good, the addition of roasted brussels sprouts, pistachios, raisins, and baby tomatoes made this a much more interesting caesar salad compared to the traditional/standard version of romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and croutons. CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS - Ok, I didn't have an actual full wrap, I just enjoyed some of the remnants from my uncle's plate. The spicy peanut vinaigrette was yummy. Glad to see that the ac is fixed at yardhouse before the summer heat. Bar is always a good option as it's walk in, first come first serve. Reservations cannot be made or putting your name down before coming. Previously their late night was a staple in my college days, but now the idea of 10:30pm is hard to get me out there on a weekday. We had a couple IPA's and the pole nachos. While the pole nachos were good, definitely had the chips looking not fried enough. A few more seconds and it woulda tasted better. But for Waikiki there are reasonable prices for beer ($8) No longer my go to, but nice spot to visit ever so often pau Hana. read more

The food at this Hawaiian restaurant was actually really good--everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. Our server, I think his name was Myles or something similar, was super helpful and kind. He made sure we were taken care of, noticed we didn't have menus, and stepped in to help right away. Really appreciated his professionalism. But the experience at the front door was a different story. The hostess (her name tag looked like it said "Sav" or something close to that) was very disrespectful, especially to my wife. When we arrived, she raised her voice at us, asking if we were actually going to eat there--as if we were wasting her time. After we said yes, she just told us to go in but gave no direction about where to sit or anything. When Myles came over and saw we were just standing around without menus or guidance, he tried to fix the situation. He even went over to the hostess to check what happened. After that, she came back and told us, "Next time you come here, I seat you, I seat you," repeating it in a way that felt condescending--almost like she was scolding or teaching a child. My wife and I felt very disrespected by that interaction. If it weren't for Myles and the great food, this would've been a much lower rating. But because of that front desk experience, I'm keeping it low-key with my rating. Hope the management sees this and does better with how guests are welcomed. read more

If you're looking for something on the "healthier" side, fresh salads or grilled veggies and meat options are plentiful. Yard House is always a great option if you have a large party and want a variety of food to share, or if you just want to take advantage of the HH deals. The only thing that disappointed me at the Waikiki location was that they were all out of their local cider brews except for the dragonfruit flavor. This isn't even a part of their happy hour deal. I think their poke nachos are a bit better here compared to the mainland.
