For what it's worth, this place has an everything to everyone thing going on. They have a great selection of taps, good service and menu options that literally never stop. The is so menu is massive, even the pickiest of eaters will be worn down trying figure out what to get. We were exhausted from a long day on the road, we didn't feel like going the distance to find a better place, so we settled. What do you get when you settle? The food is Sysco fresh, right out of the freezer! The service was lacking in some respects, we didn't get any napkins or silverware for the meal, I had to go savage on my burger and fries. If you're lucky, you can score some street parking but it's Waikiki, so you probably gotta park at the Embassy Suites for $6 with validation. Valet only. Low lit environment & kinda like a sports bar restaurant. It can get busy & I've waited up to an hour before. Portions are huuuge! - Chicken nachos: 10/10. Always hits. The plate was the around the size of a small turkey...bruh. It was packed with beans, cheese, onions, tomato, avocado, sour cream, jalapeño, & topped with cilantro & spicy pepper sauces & salsa. So stuffed from this that we barely had enough room for the main dishes. - Korean BBQ cheesesteak: 8/10. Husband always gets this one because he loves the fusion of Korean & American. It's ribeye with cheese & kimchi topped with gochujang, caramelized onions, & roasted garlic aioli. The aioli really elevated the sandwich in my opinion. - Double decker BLT: 10/10. This has got to be my favorite BLT sandwich ever. Two layers of hella crispy bacon, tomato, and lettuce. Very busy during dinner hours and wait time usually over an hour at this location. If you are also staying at this hotel a 20% discount or food delivered to your room free of charge. Ample space for large or small parties with lots of TV's spread out if you are into sports. We always take advantage of the Happy hour special between 2-6pm which means we are on vacation or not in a hurry. You can't beat $6 Martinis, $4.50 Well Drinks, and 1/2 price appetizers! It was busy when we got there but the wait didn't seem that long even though were told 30 minutes. Once we were in, the waitress was there in no time and we ordered right away. What a terrible manager you guys have. I am so so sorry. I'm leaving 2 stars because I received wonderful service from my server (I believe her name was Liv) who was incredibly kind, accommodating, friendly, and professional. Her manager, on the other hand, needs to choose a different profession. I watched her scream at people for the entire hour I was there, in front of other guests. It was extremely unprofessional. We watched her yell at a busser (while he was cleaning tables) for about 10 minutes, to the point where I thought he was going to be emotional. I even considered getting up from my table to diffuse the situation because of how horrible she was behaving. I imagine that you would see better management at a homeless shelter. I feel terrible for all of the employees who are subjected to work under her. She didn't even give us welcoming service and was actively standoff-ish and careless to the point where my guest asked me if we had been doing something wrong. We did not - we had walked up to the host stand to ask for a table, however, she had clearly done something wrong: thinking she would do a good job in this position. I've worked in the service industry for over 6 years and been in a leadership position for 4, and I cannot imagine speaking to my employees in the manner that she did. I really hope you workers have an HR to support you because I am genuinely flabbergasted that she was able to make it to that position of management. She is a sour, MEAN bully and I watched her mess up MULTIPLE TIMES and redirect it at the workers who she is supposed to be training and lifting up (mind you - she made the mistake). I went on 8/31 Monday if you're curious as to which manager I am speaking about. To recognize her: mid-40s, sour look on her face and a horrible attitude. There wasn't much of a lobby area and we were told we couldn't wait for our food at any of the tables in the restaurant so we wandered around the nearby stores for 20 minutes while we waited for the pizza. My office had a lunch at Yard House and thankfully we got reservations because there was 10 of us. However, they ended up sticking 10 adults in one of their booth seats, which I think fits comfortably at adults so it was a little bit cramped. We ordered the brussels sprouts And cheese curds for appetizers. We asked for a side of their spicy red sauce because it was recommend to us as a great compliment to the cheese curds. The brussels sprouts were fried to the point where not many pieces were green anymore. However, I did enjoy the spicy chard flavor the brussels sprouts gave. The cheese curds were deep-fried and very delicious with the sauces, but there were so little I don't think it was a great value. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and upgraded my french fries for an extra two dollars to their garlic truffle Parmesan fries. When my dish came out, I thought it was odd that the Nashville hot chicken sandwich was not soaked in an orange oil sauce like they usually are. I noticed that it was not spicy and thought maybe they just forgot the sauce, but I looked at pictures online and it definitely was the way I ordered it. The name is very misleading because it is not anything like Nashville hot chicken. And it's more like a chicken sandwich with coleslaw. The interior of the restaurant was very windy when we were there. We noticed that their music would turn off and I guess they were having issues with it for a while. Some of their TVs were not working, so that was also another IT issue they were dealing with. But they currently have a promotion right now where if you park at the Embassy suites from 10 to 3 and get your valet ticket validated there that they allow you to have free valet parking. Not sure when that ends but that was a very nice price at the end of our meal. It's the yard house so you can't be expecting much and for the price I would say that it's high but comparable to other Waikiki restaurants. I'm sure they have some really great happy hour items but we unfortunately were not there at that time. The flavors here are amazing! Great job Chef! When you arrive you will have to find parking. As no street parking is available. I parked valet across the street from the restaurant. The valet was $8. I was on the first floor and the walk from garage to there was 3mins. I highly recommend a reservation or arrive early for the wait. We did a walk in and the wait was 25minutes at 8pm for a table. So we opted to eat at the bar. The place was packed. This a great date night scene. They set a nice romantic vibe but not to over the top. The bartender even placed table cloth on the bar for it to be more intimate. I got the Large Spicy Jambalaya with spicy rice. It wasn't spicy at all and was amazing. You have 3 different types of rice you can choose to have the Jambalaya. I have ate here twice. Once a pick up order and now in person. Both times I got the Spicy Jambalaya. The Mai Tai was great as well. The salmon was honey glazed and tastes as great as the Jambalaya. I'm going to be torn with the rest of the menu since these were so great. If you're looking for a spot with plenty of TVs and decent drinks, Yard House in Waikiki might initially seem like a solid choice. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for us. The food? Let's just say it was not worth the hype. The wings were particularly awful--think "microwaved freezer bag". Other menu items we tried didn't impress either. The quality of the food was shockingly poor. What really soured the experience, though, was the service. Our server started by dropping a set of silverware on the floor, then proceeded to place it back on our table like it was no big deal. Gross. I'm not super into going to chain restaurants, especially when visiting other areas during holiday, but my uncle called me to meet him and other family members for Happy Hour here, at Yard House, on the afternoon of Saturday, September 2, 2023. The sports bar is located at the Waikiki Beach Walk which is only a few minutes' walk from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel where we were staying. Had we driven, we would have parked at the nearby Royal Hawaiian Center Parking Garage, less than a two-minute walk away. They have a very small patio for dining al fresco at the front entrance. Too tiny to accommodate large parties, though. Yard House has an extensive menu. Below are some items that I tried: THE COCO PASSION - Rum-based cocktail from their VACATION MODE section. Meh. I won't order it again. BAJA TACOS - I ordered the combo of one each of beer-battered whitefish and beer-battered shrimp. The tacos were good. I probably would have enjoyed this plate more if it consisted only of tacos with no side of SPICY RICE & PINTO BEANS. KALE & ROMAINE CAESAR - Very good, the addition of roasted brussels sprouts, pistachios, raisins, and baby tomatoes made this a much more interesting caesar salad compared to the traditional/standard version of romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, and croutons. CHICKEN LETTUCE WRAPS - Ok, I didn't have an actual full wrap, I just enjoyed some of the remnants from my uncle's plate. The spicy peanut vinaigrette was yummy. I tried the BBQ pizza with Gardein vegetarian "chicken." I would give it 4 stars. It was nice they provided vegetarian substitutes for their chicken dishes. Best happy hour!! Prices are cheap, food is good, and tvs all around. I've come here so often since I've been introduced to this place and I won't stop! We alwayssss get the chicken nachos and they load it up. It's my favorite on happy hour. Then we get sliders, and either a pizza or chicken lettuce wraps which are delicious. One time we got the half yards which is an amazing deal and I got a bit tipsy off of that. Servers are nice and pretty attentive. Glad to see that the ac is fixed at yardhouse before the summer heat. Bar is always a good option as it's walk in, first come first serve. Reservations cannot be made or putting your name down before coming. Previously their late night was a staple in my college days, but now the idea of 10:30pm is hard to get me out there on a weekday. We had a couple IPA's and the pole nachos. While the pole nachos were good, definitely had the chips looking not fried enough. A few more seconds and it woulda tasted better.
