Jambalaya

Still one our favorite places in Waikiki we enjoy sitting at the bar. The food is really good for a chain restaurant. Pumpkin spice beer last night was yummy! Some of our favorites are yhe Jambalaya, kale/romaine salad, clubhouse, and tacos.

We stopped in during happy hour and were pleasantly surprised. The half-price appetizers were a great deal! The cheese curds were the standout--they tasted like they were battered in-house and were perfectly crispy with gooey cheese inside. The boneless wings were decent as well, and overall we really enjoyed both the food and the drinks. We typically try to avoid chain restaurants while on vacation, but we were hungry and this was close by. In the end, we're glad we stopped in. Our server, a dark-haired gentleman whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, was fantastic. He was very attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. Great service and a solid happy hour.

Service here was sooooo bad. Came on a Thursday evening, and it was not terribly busy. Our server was not attentive. We only got dessert, which was ok. It took an extremely long time for us to get our dessert, You pay your bill at the table, thankfully, so we didn't have to wait for a check. I had to get up and ask for a box because no one was checking up on us.

Happy hour deals!!

Yard House hands down has the best happy hour deals on this island. Not only do they offer half off select appetizers and pizzas, but it also runs from 2-6pm (M-F)! That's crazy good. The portions are LARGE and the quality of food is good. My favorites so far: Poke Nachos - they are generous with the poke and the flavor is perfect. You really cannot go wrong with $12 on this one. Pizza - large and nice crispy thin crust. The cheese and pepperoni are fresh. Calamari - crispy and fresh, the flavors are there and this goes perfectly with pretty much anything. Spinach Dip - I actually really loved the spinach dip here because it's super cheesy hot and fresh. Even the chips are delicious. I could probably eat one order of these on my own it was so good. In the past I have also tried the nacho dip (beware this is HUGE), chicken tenders, sliders, and salad cups - and they were all good. You really can't go wrong with Yard House Happy Hour. This is the perfect spot if you have a group and you don't want to break the bank. The service has always been good here as well.

We visited as a party of four with a baby and a toddler. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated fairly quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. The atmosphere is lively and definitely geared toward people who enjoy drinks with their meal, so it can get a little loud. Even so, the staff was accommodating to our family. My husband and I shared the lobster garlic noodles and the poke nachos. Both portions were generous and perfect for splitting. We got a grilled chicken on the kids menu, and it was okay. Overall, it was a great dining experience with delicious food, a vibrant atmosphere, and reasonable wait times even without a reservation. We'd definitely come back.

Poke nachos, good but not worth an hour wait.
Mark F.

Could have been better, we stopped in this afternoon for some drinks and a quick bite to eat. During a shift change we were asked if we wouldn't mind paying up and the next shift could finish taking care of us. But we were finished already just waiting on our poke nachos which actually never came. The wait person realized this and went ahead and put the order in so I think all in all we waited almost 1± hour for our poke nachos. We ended up getting a separate check just for that and although it was much cheaper during happy hour there was no real I'm sorry type of feeling expressed.

I think over 100 beer on Tap, food is always hot and presented well. I've had good service when I have been, just know they get busy there in Waikīkī. Be patient and you'll enjoy yourself!

Relaxing while the Mrs gets some pampering done. An Ommegang and a Gulden Draak ... if you know, you know . Rory behind the bar took good care of me. We'll be back

We have been in Waikiki for 12 days we come every year, our go-to is the Yard House which is one of many restaurants we really enjoy. the food is exceptional. The service is absolutely exceptional as well and you can't beat the ambience with the good music and people watching. Our server was Liv she knocked it out of the park. Unbelievable service. Very very happy both my wife and I. As for dinner, I had the pork chop which is absolutely delicious and my wife had the shrimp tacos which was equally delicious. Unbelievable job guys! See you next year!

Best selection of brews we've found on the Island so far. Service from Tanner was 5's outstanding. Everyone from the hostesses, to the server to the bartenders go out of their way to satisfy. Our second visit already this week as we return to enjoy happy hour and 1/2 off a good number of select appetizers and $2 - $4 off beers ( depending on the size and style). I'm sure we'll be back again before we leave !!! Mahalo

Felt like beer night so we walked from Ala Moana and skipped the line to get a bar seating. Half-yard beer was amazing and so was the pineapple beer! Also ordered food and I was so impressed by the cook on this steak and cilantro chicken. Steak was perfectly medium rare and it's definitely on par with a steak house. $50 for a 20oz ribeye is hard to beat around here. Service was amazing as well with quick and professional staff. Definitely going again!

They have a real good happy hour. Food was good & drinks at a good price. Had a happy vibe and service was good. We had a great waiter. I forgot his name but I did take a picture with him haha. I would go again

If you are down in Waikiki and want to take advantage of a really good happy hour I recommend Yard House. During my first visit I did their beer flight to try 4 different local beers and really enjoyed it. Good bar food and they were quick to bring my daughter her meal when we ordered, really appreciated that. Not too loud or too much going on but a good amount of people coming and going. Second visit our server made great recommendations and I really liked the Lilikoi Margarita.

Was just walking around and happened to walk inside of Duke's Lane. And there I see it... A sign that says Prime Rib. Well.. That sounds bomb! Looks like I have my restaurant and what I'm going to eat. So once dinner time hit, I head over to Basalt! The Prime Rib was delicious. Perfectly cooked and tender. It comes with mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, and creamy horseradish and au jus sauce. Ah everything was delicious! I finished it all! Washed it down with a Basalt Mai Tai! For dessert - I got the Mochi Brownie. Mmm.. Mmm.. So good! Also got hooked up with a scoop of vanilla gelato! (Make this a thing! Lol). I was stuffed and had to get some steps in before heading back to the hotel. Lol. Service - Really good and friendly. I sat at the bar and Mykah (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was awesome and gave some good recommendations. Price $45 for the prime rib. Can't beat that! Will I be back? Oh heck yes! Definitely my favorite dish of the night! I also enjoyed trying the drink pairings with each course. I'm not much of a drinks girl, but it was fun to experience how the different drinks complemented the food. Overall, I enjoyed pretty much everything! The flavors were delicious, and I really appreciated the creativity behind each dish. If I had to pick one that didn't stand out as much, it would be the duck. It was good, but I didn't find it quite as innovative or memorable as the other courses. The dessert was also beautifully put together! I loved how the cheese foam and candied pecans added different textures throughout, while the figs brought a subtle flavor. It was such a refreshing way to end the meal! What I appreciated most was the thought and attention to detail put into everything...from the plating to the combinations of flavors in both the food and drinks. The drink paired with the second course was definitely my favorite! The staff were also really friendly and did a great job explaining each course and the drink pairings, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One small thing I will mention is that the exterior signage and bathroom felt a little underwhelming compared to the level of fine dining offered here. I think those areas could use a little more attention to match the overall experience. Overall, I would absolutely come back! While I'm still not a big drinks person and might skip the pairings next time, the food itself is worth returning for. I can definitely appreciate the creativity and effort that went into putting this experience together. Such a fun and memorable dining experience!

Restaurant 604: Great Food, Fantastic Service, and a Million-Dollar Pearl Harbor View!…read more BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Fantastic island-style food, generous portions, reasonable prices, outstanding service, and one of the most unique waterfront dining locations on Oahu! Whether you're stopping in for a business lunch, enjoying cocktails at sunset, or celebrating with friends, Restaurant 604 delivers a wonderful experience. Definitely worth the drive! The Details: Located just outside Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Restaurant 604 occupies the second floor of a waterfront building overlooking Rainbow Marina and the historic waters of Pearl Harbor. It's a terrific location that combines delicious local food, a relaxed island atmosphere, and beautiful marina views! I suspect most military personnel stationed in the area, along with plenty of locals, are already familiar with this little gem. It's a popular gathering spot for everything from casual lunches to military hail and farewell celebrations. And for good reason! Today, I suggested Restaurant 604 for a business lunch with several teammates and colleagues. Having enjoyed this establishment on numerous previous occasions, I knew it would be an excellent choice. I'm happy to report that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves! For my lunch, I couldn't resist ordering one of my all-time Hawaiian favorites, Kalua Pig with rice and macaroni salad! The serving was enormous, with a generous mound of delicious shredded pork topped with green onions, accompanied by two scoops of rice and a hearty helping of creamy mac salad. Now THAT'S what I call an epic island plate lunch! My colleagues explored other parts of the menu, ordering dishes including teriyaki salmon, chicken katsu, and fish tacos with avocado and jalapeños. Everyone seemed equally pleased with their selections. The portions here are substantial, the food is delicious, and the prices are quite reasonable, especially considering the location! Another highlight of today's visit was our wonderful waitress, Brittany! She was absolutely phenomenal! Friendly, attentive, personable, and genuinely interested in making sure our entire group had an enjoyable experience. Great service can elevate an already excellent meal, and Brittany certainly accomplished that today! Along with other huge tables. Seriously she did a phenomenal job juggling a ton of customers! Since this was a business lunch, we skipped the cocktails. However, I can personally attest that Restaurant 604 also has a terrific bar! Over the years, I've spent many enjoyable evenings here sipping cocktails, exchanging stories and friendly banter, and watching the sun slowly settle over Pearl Harbor. There's something special about enjoying a cold drink while overlooking the sailboats and marina with the Hawaiian trade winds drifting through. The open-air dining area, nautical decor, surfboards suspended overhead, and panoramic waterfront views give this place a distinctive island personality. It's casual, comfortable, and welcoming, exactly what you want from a great Hawaiian waterfront restaurant. And here's a fun little bit of trivia: Restaurant 604 has even welcomed the legendary Jimmy Buffett over the years! I have a nice picture of him with my friend Bryant. Somehow, that seems entirely appropriate for a place where the waterfront atmosphere practically begs you to kick back with a tropical cocktail. Rest in peace, Jimmy! Fins up! Final Thoughts: Restaurant 604 is much more than just another place to grab a bite. It's a wonderful gathering spot where great food, friendly people, military camaraderie, and beautiful Hawaiian scenery all come together. Whether you're stationed at Pearl Harbor, visiting the nearby historic attractions, or simply looking for a great meal away from the Waikiki crowds, I highly recommend stopping by. Come hungry, bring some friends, and if you have the time, stick around for sunset. The food will fill your belly, the service will lift your spirits, and the view just might convince you to stay for another round! Aloha!
