Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap - $16
Michael X.

From looking at the menu, I haven't seen too many of the items listed offered here in Seattle. This was exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

My wife and I visited on our way to the Elysian Brewery, getting some food before sampling beers. The staff were very friendly to us and other patrons while ordering and waiting for food to be prepared. There are a few small benches just outside the restaurant to sit on if dining there. I ordered the falafel saj, my wife got the halloumi grilled cheese, and we shared a side of the Egyptian hot sauce and fermented chili paste. The halloumi grilled cheese was nice and salty, but a little pricey for the portion. The falafel wrap, on the other hand, was fantastic and a great value. The food was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it.

For a quintessential Capitol Hill lunch, walk up to the Yalla stand for a Saj roll. You're all but guaranteed to take away an arm-length-long wrap stuffed with a blend of flavorful ingredients. I like the simplicity of the veggie wraps, which feature different combinations of greens and tomatoes with zataar, labneh, and olive oil. Most recently, I got the fityr and labneh with an added chicken thigh that soaked up the flavor of the roasted mushroom and yogurt spreads. On a sunny day, there's something just right about carrying a Yalla roll over to Cal Andersen park and enjoying the view while peeling back a wrap.

I have been here a couple of times and very pleased. This is kind of a small place where they serve outside the door, but they create really delicious food. This time I had the hummus and the Haloumi grilled cheese. No surprise the hummus is really great. I think it may be thinner that what most are used to, but has great flavor. Then it can be hard to elevate grilled cheese, but that fresh saj bread does this. Very simple and delicious. Definitely worth a visit, from past visits chicken is great also.

Nice take out window to grab a quick wrap. It's basically $20 after tax and tip for a wrap but i guess 1) it is a pretty hefty wrap and 2) it's seattle. So I think it's rational enough that they have to charge that. For the wrap itself it was piping warm when we got them and that first bite into it was so satisfying. I got the lahme khuruf (lamb) and labneh wrap and I love how if was spiced and flavored. Super juicy, super flavorful.

Finally tried Yalla after hearing so many rave reviews--and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The setup here is simple and efficient: you order at a walk-up window, then enjoy your meal outside or take it to-go if you'd rather explore the neighborhood. Pro tip: The staff suggested grabbing a drink at Montana, the bar next door, where you can also sit and savor your Yalla meal. I tried the Chicken Saj Wrap and the lahme khuruf (lamb) & labneh wrap. Both were delicious. It was my first time trying a Saj, and for the uninitiated it is like a burrito. The chicken one had minty flavor whereas the lamb one had a texture like that of ground beef with some sweetness from the pomegranate molasses. Also tried the Egyptian chili paste - very oily but so good for dipping the saj if you dare to have spicy food. Yalla, what are you waiting for?!

Best falafel I've had in 2025! Made to order and with spice and crunch! I love the thin wrap so not too heavy and the falafel wrap is very generous and filling without too greasy or heavy. Others will have to live upto this one, sorry.

Yalla is a great place for quick, late night Mediterranean eats. It's a window you order at and sit outside to eat, so just putting the knowledge out there. I went a little late so being on the street was a bit scary and dark. I would recommend taking your order to go. I think if you order ahead while walking there that is the best way to order. I waited like 10 minutes for the food and it was well worth it. There is ALOT on the menu, so I asked the waiter what was good for pescatarians and he said the falafel wrap. The waiter was very hospitable which is something we love to see! Now for the food, the wrap I got had so much flavor. Everything complimented everything else and the falafel itself was top notch. The only reason why I'm docking stars is because I got a bit of a tummy ache after eating it. I'm thinking it's because I'm really sensitive to meat cross contamination. If you are a vegetarian, consider asking them to be extra careful.

This take out Palestinian restraunt hit the spot and is definitely worth stopping by. The bread is chewy and crispy at the same time. It works well with both fillings without covering up any of the flavors. The mix of the beets falafel and veggies played nicely together and the eggplant was well seasoned. The cost was very reasonable for what your getting. She was really nice and the food came within 5 minutes or so which is really fast. We were expecting to wait for a while but ended up being way early to our next appointment instead. Overall a great place!

My friends said I just got some gristle but I was afraid the chicken wasn't cooked all the way through and stopped eating it. I would still go back...there's so many dishes I would still want to try. The atmosphere is cute & cozy, with shareable dishes. The servers are all young college students but they are pretty knowledgeable about the menu. On one super rainy day, my partner and I were walking by and spontaneously decided to go up to the little window and get one lamb gyro the guy at the window, who I didn't know was the owner, looked at us weird and at first I was like ???? but after 5 min of prepping our order he calls us back to the window and hands us TWO gyros and says "you can't just get one! there are two of you! you won't feel full!" and he hands us both, one on the house I was so shocked it was so kind and unexpected of him. We ended up eating outside right under the window and 2 min later the owner walks out with a slice of bread and starts feeding the ducks outside the store. He told us that they're a couple and that they come by every year to lay eggs and they visit him every night for dinner during this time. He also told us that Cedars of Lebanon has been open for over 40 years and that it used to be so rowdy and exciting. So many people would gather around and spend time in his restaurant but now it's a lot quieter (I'm assuming this is because new, more novel places have been popping up on the Ave). I left this conversation so touched and full of love for this man, I genuinely wish him the best. His unprompted kindness towards a complete stranger and willingness to spend time chatting with us alone makes this place 5 stars for me, so many places lack this kind of passion and love that we could really use more of. this happened almost a year ago but I wanted to share my experience to highlight how wonderful of a man the owner is, hopefully we can continue to have nice things and no one abuses his kindness anyway I wanna go back and try their falafel apparently it's super good

Service was slow ngl, however, the old couple running the place were sooo cute I can excuse it. They were so friendly, warm, and nice; it gave off auntie and uncle vibes. Another customer in front of me must've been a regular because when the customer made conversation at the takeout window, I heard one of the workers go "We love you, John!!!" Only ordered from the to go window so cannot speak to the ambiance inside.

The flavors were bland, rice is not how it's done in Lebanon (yellow basmati?), the tabouli was underwhelming and dry (Lebanese do not add quinoa either to it), and the portions were surprisingly small for the high prices. Also, no toum but instead something similar to tzaiki? Odd. Unfortunately, the quality and value just weren't there.
