    Paying 30$ for rice

My story with Tanoor came to an end unfortunately... I did a to go order what's that ? Paying 30$ to have few chicken piece and rice ? Sad because that restaurant had a lot of potential...

Loved the food!! The chicken in the Dajaj Mishweh was so tender and delicious and the pickled onions complemented it well. The tabouleh was also very fresh. I personally didn't like the spinach Fatayir as much because the pickled flavor was a bit strong for me.

Amazing food and great service! Clean and spacious restaurant. Free 3 hour parking in the garage through the pay to park app. We had a party of 13 people. They had plenty of space for us and were accommodating. Plenty of items in the menu, kind of pricey but honestly the food is really really good. We ordered the Batata harra which were fries with garlic sauce or something in top of the fries. It was absolutely delicious! Even better was the harra sauce that came with it. I wonder if they'd sell that to take home, so good! For the main entree, I got the Spicy grilled lamb and veggies. I was truly amazed by how tender the lamb was, the spice and the seasoning on the veggies and the lamb were absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't like was that there were waaay too many tomatoes on the plate and not enough lamb meat. I got mixed rice to go with it and I'd highly recommend doing that. Great pairing! With a large patty, they can only split the check 3 ways. Overall, great service and amazing food.

We came here on a Tuesday for dinner around 8pm. We had no issues with getting a table, in fact they were pretty empty on that day/time. We tried a couple different dishes as a group. Two of us shared a normal platter of lamb which is $32 and comes with an appetizer. The serving size is pretty good and you could probably take leftovers home. Another part of our group split the big platter between 5 people and they had a ton of food leftover to take home. Overall The serving size is really good but you pay for it in price. However this is definitely one of the better Lebanese places that exists in the Seattle area. There a garage right under the restaurant that is free for 3 hours

Wasn't a fan...considering the price, the taste and quality of the food was not up to expectations. We went as a large group and the server had an attitude as well...keep in mind no one was in the restaurant. My friends like it, but I probably won't go back.

This is a great Lebanese spot in Bellevue, though it can be a little tricky to track down especially if you end up parking in the garage. Parking's free for three hours once you register, which is nice. We ordered the dinner plate that's meant for two to four people, and it easily fed our group of four along with a couple of appetizers. Service was warm and attentive, and the food delivered. The meat was tender and juicy, and the fresh pita came out so hot and steamy that I had to be careful picking it up.

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday and it was great! You enter the restaurant from the main mall-like building YOU CANNOT enter from the outside! It took us a while to find it because after parking underground we accidentally walked across the street to the other mall only to realize it was right above us in the parking lot.  We should have taken the time to read the menu a bit more clearly because I wasn't aware that the plates that we were ordering comes with an appetizer (I was expecting to see that written at the top of the menu page or something like that, instead it was written on each of the items on the page as if it were an ingredient) so we both froze and ended up ordering the same thing, the Batata Harra fries.  The gyro plane was definitely worth it though my chicken was nothing to really rave about because it was a little dry. ~~Parking: There's 3 hours free parking but you have to register through the Parking app.  ~~Service: Good. There was only 1 other couple dining when we arrived. We were seated fairly quickly and they gave us the time we needed to decide what it is we wanted.  ~~Best Part: The batata harra sauce! For some reason I didn't think that Mediterranean food could be spicy (but it could be because all of the other places I've gone to didn't really have the level of spice I was expecting). I'd come back just to have the sauce and I tried looking up how to make it but it's different than the potato recipe you see online.  ~~Worst Part: Navigating how to get there. For some reason when we parked under we thought it was the glass building across the street then realized it was right on top of us but then we tried entering from the outside of the building only to find out you could only enter from the inside of the strange building.  ~~Tips: Just enter from the first door you see. Menu might look pricey at first for the plates, but know that they each come with an appetizer. ~~Return: Yes.

Attentive timely service. A wide menu with many options. They allow you to split your rice order to get a mix of rice/lentils. Bread, check, dipping oil with zaatar, check, cold dips, hot, you name it, they have it. Everything was cooked excellently and I have enough to nibble on left overs the next a.m. I hope to be back. Dress warm on a cold night, it was comfortable but not cozy.

This is the best middle-Eastern food I've had in my entire life. I have tried at least a dozen different places before (all in North Carolina) and none of them come close. The falafel is so perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the hummus is nice and creamy, and the shawarma combo plate is absolutely packed with flavorful protein. Do yourself a favor and pay Tanoor a visit if you're in the area.

While the food was reasonable, the service needs significant improvement. We waited an eternity for someone to take our order, and even then, we only got attention after repeatedly trying to make eye contact. A busser eventually had to nudge the waitstaff, who were all huddled in one spot chatting for a long time. Be careful with the bill: they include a 5% service charge that wasn't mentioned upfront and calculate suggested tips based on the post-tax total. I tipped 20% on the mobile device before seeing the itemized receipt, only to realize I'd been overcharged through these hidden tactics. Dining out is expensive enough--if restaurants try to deceive their customers, they won't see us back. To top it off, the tea menu listed a pot for $6, yet we were charged $12 for one single pot. It seems they charge per person (we had two cups) rather than per pot, but this was never made clear. Between the misleading menu pricing, the 5% service fee, and the post-tax tip calculation, the billing felt incredibly dishonest.

Complimentary bread, Olive Oil & Zaatar, garlic paste

I've heard a lot of great things about Tanoor and was in the area, so decided to give them a try. We came in on a rainy Monday afternoon and were the only ones in the restaurant. We were promptly seated, given menus as well as water and complimentary bread with olive oil and zaatar to dip it in. We ended up ordering the mixed grill for 2-3 which includes beef kabob, lamb kabob, shish tawook (marinated chicken breast) and kefta (ground beef with spices formed into a kabob). It also came with your selection of 3 vegetarian appetizers. So we picked: -batata harra (Arabic word which translates to potatoes hot, they're in house made potatoes, with garlic paste on top and served with a side of shattah- which is a hot sauce/paste) -arnabeet (Arabic word for cauliflower- served with tahini paste that is mixed with lemon juice) and -stuffed grape leaves served with Tzatziki dip. Overall, all the food was great, fresh and flavorful. The meats were tender and perfectly cooked. The sides all tasted great. The garlic dip was perfectly garlicky. The portions were definitely more than enough for 3, maybe even 4 people. The restaurant did charge a service fee that I don't understand and the cost of the food was on the higher end $95 (after tax and the service fee), so on the pricier side - but again it was all freshly made and it's hard to find authentic Lebanese food in the state. Next time we're craving Lebanese food, we know where to go!

Halal dining in Seattle transformed when Tanoor arrived (was it 2019?), elevating the halal scene from mostly fast-casual nature to a true dining experience. I always share this anecdote - Tanoor created a simple yet my most favorite restaurant moment by starting serving their complimentary pita and dip upon being seated. Watching their freshly baked pita emerge from the oven, warm and fragrant, with steam escaping as I tear it open, never gets old. The slightly dry crust and velvety, moist interior are pure perfection, when paired with olive oil and za'atar. It's a comforting pleasure that always lifts my mood, something I could enjoy it forever. While i go to their other locations, This was my first visit to their Bellevue location, I was struck by how modern, spacious, and stunning the space is. Ample parking, a separate banquet hall, beautifully decorated interiors with a blend of eastern and western touches, serene prayer room to the glimpse of the bustling kitchen filled with fresh preparations, everything about this place stands out. The service was equally warm and welcoming. While I tried their mezzes, entrees, and dessert, this review is all about their mezzes. Mezze dishes, whether appetizers or mains, are the heart of Middle Eastern & Lebanese cuisine, and Tanoor so excels in them that I felt their mezzes deserve their own spotlight--so here it is! Halloumi Fries Strips of halloumi cheese, lightly coated and fried to a golden perfection, created a crisp exterior while remaining soft and chewy inside. The cheese's natural saltiness paired beautifully with the herby tang of za'atar yogurt and the sweet richness of pomegranate molasses--a perfect harmony of flavors. This dish was always my absolute favorite and there was no exception this time! Cheese Fatayir Mild, slightly salty, and creamy middle eastern cheese melted beautifully within soft, fresh dough, creating Lebanese pies baked to perfection in a clay oven - I love the blend of savory, herby, and buttery goodness. Another favorite. Beef & Lamb Sfiha Middle Eastern pastry resembling a mini flatbread or open-faced pie. A flavorful filling of spiced ground beef and lamb, mixed with onions, parsley, and sumac, delivered a signature savory and slightly tangy taste. Baked to perfection, the dough had crisp edges while the meat stayed juicy and tender--a delightful balance of texture and flavor. LOved it. Arambeet Flash-fried cauliflower topped with tahini, parsley, and spices. The cauliflower had a slight crunch on the outside and a melt-in-your-mouth texture inside. Bursting with rich, vibrant flavors, every bite was absolutely amazing, the most flavorful mezze on the table! Batata Harra Hand-cut fries topped with creamy toum and a sprinkle of Aleppo pepper are a flavorful treat. Toum, a traditional Lebanese garlic sauce added a slight tangy velvety kick and the batata harra sauce added spiciness and smokiness--this is my all time favorite. On this particular occasion the fries were not much crispy but it always was in my previous visits. Falafel Patties Fried patties were perfectly crispy, use herbs & spices to the spot and it was moist creamy inside. served with pickled turnip, pepperoncini & tahini I enjoyed it. Muhammara Muhammara is probably the most complex mezze where you taste everything , smokiness from of roasted red peppers, nuttiness from walnuts, creaminess from breadcrumbs, angy sweetness of pomegranate molasses, freshness from parsley and olive oil add freshness and a silky finish, I love you Muhammara and Tanoor does justice to your name. Spicy Hummus Creamy chickpea dip might be very common, but the Tanoor has slight spicier version version is particularly delicious, with hints of sesame paste, garlic, lemon & spices, topped with olive, parsley & olive oil, the best Hummus in the town? Mezzes are a celebration of Lebanese and Middle Eastern flavors and Tanoor makes it real. It's that one place where i am always ready to make a long trip just for their Mezzes. What's your favorite mezze at Tanoor?

Wow! Delicious! Flavorful! Ingredient so fresh! Love it! Nice space with excellent waitress who gave us a tour of the menu. Had the shawarma combo. We split it between the two of us and still had leftovers. Will definitely bring friends. Want to have the Turkish affogato the next time. Can't wait. Free parking!

We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.
