Honestly one of the most disappointing Mediterranean meals I've had in a long time. I ordered a "beef shawarma plate," and what I got was chopped up beef kofta kabob -- which is completely different from shawarma. If you're out of shawarma, just say that instead of serving something else entirely and calling it shawarma. On top of that, I asked for two extra side items in my to-go order, and neither of them was included. The portioning was ridiculous for a $25 plate: about 90% bland rice, maybe one skewer worth of meat cut into pieces, and a few spoons of overcooked grilled vegetables that honestly tasted terrible. The rice completely dominated the plate and had almost no flavor. I rarely complain about prices because I understand restaurants are expensive nowadays, but this genuinely felt like a ripoff. This was my first time back in a while and don't know if the menu changed at all but thought it was weird/interesting that the plate didn't seem to have the option of being ordered on its own, not as a meal. That being said the lamb was decent but just a touch too salty, and chicken was pretty good. Fries were a bit dry somehow (like overcooked?) but sauce of course made up for it. Prices seem to also have jumped up since I was last here, not surprising due to inflation but not as much the super affordable meal it used to be. Garlic fries (medium) were over $7 so I'm glad they at least sauced it up because toum makes everything better. Lamb bowl was 17.99 and chicken bowl 13.99. ....Im upset that I have to take it down to 3 stars because every time I speak with the owner, he is amazing. I went here last Sunday to get my falafel shawarma. The man was preparing 3 shawarmas before mine and made them beautifully, the kids were shouting for pickles on theirs lol that family then left and it was time for my shawarma to be made. I saw him grab a pita to wrap my shawarma in, instead of the tortilla wrap that they're supposed to use. I immediately stopped him and he tried to tell me that it was the same wrap and I told him I've been coming here for 6 years, I know exactly what the wraps look like and that wrap is thick and half the size of the actual tortilla wrap that is used for the shawarma. He then proceeds to tell me that they're out of the tortilla wrap for the shawarmas and I said "if you knew you were out of the wraps, why try to lie to me and convince me that it's the same when it's not?" I obviously already paid for the food and I was pissed off, extremely upset about it. I told him to just make me a bowl and he goes "it's the same price" it wouldn't matter to me if it was or if it wasn't, you just tried to give me less than I paid for and tried to lie to me about what it was as if I'm not a loyal customer for the pass 6 years...it wasn't a good experience. A friend and myself tried the Dolma 8 piece plate a vegetarian dish and the kafta. I thought the kafta was going to be more like a kebab and I felt like this was more of long strips and both dishes were pretty messy might of been because it was a door dash but the food looks sort of clunky with a lot of rice and the same sauces.
