    Chicken Shawarma Salad Plate
    Anne O.

Shawarmaniac has been one of our favorite go-to spots for years -- a true hidden gem in Kirkland. The food is consistently so, so good -- fresh, flavorful, and made with care every time. I especially love their chicken shawarma salad plate -- perfectly seasoned, tender, and always satisfying. What makes it even better is how easy it is to eat healthy here -- everything is dairy-free, gluten-free, and still full of flavor (a rare combo!). The staff is always kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you. If you're craving delicious Lebanese food that's light, clean, and made with love -- this is the place. We've been coming here for years, and it never disappoints.

Have been here a few times and would continue to return. This was my first time back in a while and don't know if the menu changed at all but thought it was weird/interesting that the plate didn't seem to have the option of being ordered on its own, not as a meal. The bowl was plenty filling but it didn't have much meat, just seemed like it because it looked so full with the rice, sauce, and leafy greens filling up the space - wish there was more (especially the lamb - the expensive protein - seemed extra lacking). That being said the lamb was decent but just a touch too salty, and chicken was pretty good. Fries were a bit dry somehow (like overcooked?) but sauce of course made up for it. Prices seem to also have jumped up since I was last here, not surprising due to inflation but not as much the super affordable meal it used to be. Garlic fries (medium) were over $7 so I'm glad they at least sauced it up because toum makes everything better. Lamb bowl was 17.99 and chicken bowl 13.99. Service was a bit slow (felt like 20 minutes) even as we were the only customers at the time, but the guys were nice. It's still a good stop for a healthy meal when we need that option.

My new favorite shawarma place! Chicken is flavored well with lots of spices, garlic sauce is amazing, veggies were fresh, rice was ok. The bowl is great value and I think it is priced well for what it is. The bowl is about $13 so with tax+tip it comes about to $17. I got this as a to go order and ordered online. For some reason I couldn't place an order ahead of time and could only order "immediately" so I had to make sure I ordered online close to the time I wanted to pick up. Pick up was easy, but unfortunately they got my order wrong and I didn't get the falafels I ordered.

Wow! Got a lamb shawarma wrap. One of the best things I've had in the area. Their garlic sauce is to die for.

Our family gives this restaurant 5 stars. I've only tried the lentil soup with pita and it was so excellent. It's as good OR better than any upscale mediterranean restaurant I've been to, really! The staff was super friendly and helpful with my choice. Really great guys!

....Im upset that I have to take it down to 3 stars because every time I speak with the owner, he is amazing. I went here last Sunday to get my falafel shawarma. The man was preparing 3 shawarmas before mine and made them beautifully, the kids were shouting for pickles on theirs lol that family then left and it was time for my shawarma to be made. I saw him grab a pita to wrap my shawarma in, instead of the tortilla wrap that they're supposed to use. I immediately stopped him and he tried to tell me that it was the same wrap and I told him I've been coming here for 6 years, I know exactly what the wraps look like and that wrap is thick and half the size of the actual tortilla wrap that is used for the shawarma. He then proceeds to tell me that they're out of the tortilla wrap for the shawarmas and I said "if you knew you were out of the wraps, why try to lie to me and convince me that it's the same when it's not?" I obviously already paid for the food and I was pissed off, extremely upset about it. I told him to just make me a bowl and he goes "it's the same price" it wouldn't matter to me if it was or if it wasn't, you just tried to give me less than I paid for and tried to lie to me about what it was as if I'm not a loyal customer for the pass 6 years...it wasn't a good experience. I took a photo of the wrap he tried to use.

The quantity of food is worth the price! We ordered Chicken Shawarma Salad! The salad was fresh and chicken was flavorful! However, I didn't liked the sauces they provided. Wasn't sure what were they maybe tahini or hummus?

Always AMAZING their dolma are beautiful absolutely splendid and their falafel are crunchy and soft, obviously high quality ingredients used here. the wraps are always the star of the show here juicy and saucy. very savory and great. been coming here for a long time and the service is always great. a small family run business tucked in a strip mall serving up the best middle eastern food in the greater seattle area.

Stopped by to grab a bite to-go before heading home and overall the food and service was OK. I had ordered the chicken bowl and a side of fries. The person taking my order was confused on how to ring me up or which combo I was asking for but eventually got it with the help of his coworker. The bowl was overall good with all the elements, but you really have to ask for them to add a lot of sauce to get that kick of spice when asking for spicy level. I would recommend getting extra sauces on the side if you want it get that flavorful taste in each bite. The meat was cooked well but I wish they would add more of it to the bowl it seemed like they didn't add enough for the size of the bowl. The fries were seasoned well and had the perfect crispy/crunch to it definitely recommend trying the feta cheese fries.

The center area hosted a huge group with multiple tables pushed together. I have avoided Zeitoon all these years because they are higher cost, not necessarily justifiable since there are lower cost Persian foods or similar Mediterranean restaurants in the area. I finally decided to try them. Our server answered my questions, including his favorites. Two questionable/sketchy things happened: 1. Our server recommended the Mirza Ghasemi, which he said is great with the optional soft-boiled egg. Sounds good. We ordered it. The optional egg is $2, which is not identified on the menu. (See photo) 2. When he recommended the Mirza Ghasemi, we asked him to remove the Mast O Khiar which we initially chose. I said we only want one appetizer. He nodded and said OK. When the Mirza Ghasemi arrived, so did the Mast O Khiar. They put both on the table and immediately left. I flagged the original server to remind him we said to remove it, but a different person showed up instead. He: "You want to cancel this? No problem." and took the yogurt away. I did not order this; it is not me canceling. Minus 0.5 stars from overall rating. The Food: Mirza Ghasemi + egg, $14 +$2 - 2.5 Stars This eggplant dish is the one recommended by our server. We do enjoy eggplant dips, especially warm versions. The optional "soft boiled egg" is not an American version but tiny threads of yellow egg bits mixed within the eggplant mixture. Honestly, we cannot taste the egg. It is borderline a scam. This dish would be 3.5 stars if it was $14 at the menu price, which is already on the high side. A $16 eggplant dish is delusional. Lamb Shishlik Kebab, $36 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Lamb rack marinated and chargrilled (see menu photo) I knew I would not see a rack of lamb on my plate. I got four lamb chops. Meat quality wise, this is excellent. It comes with a ton of basmati rice and a salad with a refreshing light dressing. This is a bit spendy for the quantity of meat, but taste is good. Soltani Shishlik, $42 - 3.5 Stars This is the exact same dish as above except add a skewer of grounded beef kebab. This kebab, and I quote my hubby, is "not that good". Same comment for the rest of the dish. A basket of lavash bread arrived at the table. I believe it came with the Mirza Ghasemi. We have eaten many lavash breads, commonly used as wrap so it is grilled and/or heat-pressed with oil on the surface. These lavash breads are simply warmed. I learned they taste terrible that way. The surface has a sandpaper texture and still taste like sandpaper when eating it. If I paid for this separately, I would be upset.

Based on decor I wondered if it had been a pub or steakhouse once in its life: lots of paneled and coffered wood, chandeliers, and wooden booths with coat hangers. We started with the baba ghanouj and ordered the fesenjan and a beef kobideh for meals. The meals came with a salad to share rather than small individual salads on the plate which was a nice touch. The staff was able to provide some veggies with the baba ghanouj since my partner in crime can't have bread. The baba ghanouj was great - exactly the smoky eggplant flavor I was craving when I saw the sign for Persian cuisine. The kobideh was nice and tender - you could taste the onion. The fesenjan was also extremely good. One question: Who eats this much rice in one dish? The rice was very good - but it is a lot of rice. I haven't had Persian like this since we had Persian neighbors who invited us over.

We had to have the green chile sauce on the side of the asparagus dish cause of my friend but that was ok we were putting it in other items we loved it so much. One thing I really loved about the skewer is the sauces that came on the side: one tahini, one garlic, and one tomato. Such delicious sauces! Entrees were a little pricey though.
