This place looks like typical updated dive spot but is very clean inside. I got the Beef and Lamb Gyro Plate which comes with jasmine rice, hummus, a small salad, pita bread, and sauce. The service was super quick and the flavor and quality of ingredients are excellent. The price is reasonable at $16.99 and the portion is generous. They ask if you want to dine in or take out but they are both served in a to-go container with the only difference being you either get a bag or a tray. :) One improvement suggestion would be to provide sriracha hot sauce as many other similar businesses do. Food was a hit for my picky mom and son. She had the lamb plate and my son had the kifta kebab plate. My husband had a lentil soup and said it was really good. It wasn't overly salty like at the other places we've gone to. The hummus was creamy and flavorful. Under new management??? Jasmine Kitchen has been our go-to for any mediterranean meals for many years, both at the office and home. They always tended to be late for the orders (and we always compensated by going there 5-10 min after the pick-up time). We ordered dinner for pick-up last night, and Jasmine Kitchen seems to have changed their online ordering system recently. Now two choices between Menufy and ChowNow. I opted for Menufy, the only option of "asap 15-20". Showed up 30 minutes later and the order wasn't ready. Waited for another 20 and it was finally done. Got home and opened the packages to find the fries we didn't order, and the order of rice (S) was missing. Figure, it's ok, they're busy, and proceeded to eat. We all found that the dishes (Combo Gyro Plate, Lamb Shawarma Plate, Chicken Kebob Plate and other sundries) weren't what they used to be. Hummus was very smooth and less tasteful, their hummus used to be one of the best in the East side - a bit less smooth with robust flavour. We got 2 Greek lamb shawm salads. It's a no for me. They upset our stomachs and the veggie weren't even chopped up. Just large hunks of tomato and cucumber and onion. The tomato was slimy and the worst part is the lamb meat had some like fatty, connective tissue, I bit into and had to spit out. That's never happened when eating Greek food ever. I thought something was up when I pulled up at dinner time and the whole place was empty. I love a Mediterranean restaurant that offers both great chicken and lamb options. This place goes one step farther and has awesome rotisserie chicken options which are great. The prices are reasonable and there is plenty of parking in front since this is located in a mini-mall of sorts. The interior is fairly basic. Love this Mediterranean restaurant! It's a hole in a wall, but definitely worth eating at! I had a delicious beef/lamb gyro salad. Everything tasted so fresh and soooo good! Having been to the Middle East and Mediterranean a few times, I'm obsessed with authentic foods from that region. Just the best. I stopped in Jasmine Kitchen fresh off an airplane and WOW. First it was around 3pm, which is dead time for most restaurants. The two men could not have been nicer and my food was fresh and amazing in a clean and cool environment. Even the bathrooms were clean and nice (which is a huge element to the overall experience). Service was great too, even with two men. I order a kofta kebab plate which came with saffron rice and great pita and a small salad and a garlic sauce that would be amazing on a leather boot. I also had the walnut baklava which was about the best I've ever had. The flavors were all spot on - juicy and tender and wonderful - every bite of the whole meal. We got: the whole chicken which came with 2 pita bread and garlic sauce - At first glance, the chicken looks dry, but man was I wrong. It was so juicy and tender and cooked perfectly! The pita bread was warm and toasty. I didn't like the garlic sauce much but that's my preference. The beef kifta salad: 2 skewers of flavorful beef and refreshing salad. I like the sauce that it came with. It seem like they put some kind of dressing on the salad because it has some flavor. Portion was super generous for the price. At least 4 Mediterranean restaurants/eateries are within 8-minutes drive of each other within the Kirkland Totem Lake area. Jasmine Kitchen is the last that I am trying. Sadly, it was less than ideal. Ding #1 - minus 0.5 stars Because restaurants all tend to be busy at the common dinner hour, I have been calling ahead and placing an order for pickup at a much later time. Jasmine Kitchen is the first restaurant to have forgotten to make my order. I stood there while they made it. It was annoying, but at least it was not a long wait. Ding #2 - minus 0.5 stars The Lamb Shawarma Plate was $16.50 on the receipt instead of $14.50 on their website. Inaccurate online prices is a pet peeve of mine. Also, the receipt had a $0.65 charge for a "vinaigrette sauce" that I didn't order, and it didn't go with either of the food items. Argh. On the plus side, he (reluctantly) honored the Yelp check-in discount of $3 off $20+ purchase. I am quite certain it was only because they forgot my order. So this ended up being a near net zero. The food: Lamb Shawarma Plate - 2.5 stars The contents of their lamb shawarma plate is fairly standard. See photo. The portion is not nearly as generous as Mediterranean Kitchen. Hubby said the lamb wasn't tender, and it was chewy. Disappointed. Especially since I watched them make it, I know it wasn't left on the grill, which means the lamb quality itself is meh. Falafel Supreme Sandwich - 4 stars The sandwich itself I thought was quite good. The falafels were tasty, though I still prefer to slather on the tahini sauce. A couple of strange things. 1) Their online menu said it contains feta cheese. When ordering I asked for no cheese and he said it doesn't come with cheese. Again, incorrect online info. 2) Their online menu said "keep it tame or let loose with our fiery red pepper 'shatta' sauce" with no added cost mentioned, and I requested it spicy. The sandwich did not have any hot sauce. Instead I got the aforementioned vinaigrette sauce (not spicy) that I was charged. Confounding as heck. Like I said, I had called ahead to place my order. I have been doing this for every restaurant to save them fees from the app companies. Unfortunately, I honestly could not understand the person on the phone, and I repeated my order multiple times even though it was only two items. That was frustrating. This is the first time I am recommending the reader to just order online. Pickup at the restaurant: On the plus side, they were wearing masks and gloves. And he did take off and tossed his gloves before using the cash register. On the bad side, the signing keypad was filthy, feeling crusty while I signed. Gross.
