Great food and awesome customer service. Lenza was great and took care of us. Loved the passion fruit caipirinha.

There were few but good reviews for this restaurant so we decided to try it out. In addition to their à la carte menu, they also have unlimited rodizio which we didn't get because we had 5 kids under 12 years old (three 5 year olds and two 10 year olds) with us which would've been $17.50 (half adult price) per child. The ambiance was cute. I liked how the walls had a lot of art and it was colorful. I cannot say anything good about our experience. We arrived when the restaurant was mostly empty. Most customers seemed to know the owners and were greeted happily with hugs and kisses. It was very difficult to get service and took about 50-55 min to get our food after ordering with no updates or apologies. We ordered 2 of the moqueca which was similar to an instant Thai yellow curry with about 2 pieces of fish, 2 shrimp, a couple small scallop, and veggies for $30.50 which seemed steep for what we got. It also came with a side of rice. I am not sure if this is an authentic Brazilian dish. We got 2 churrasco especials and they both were well done when we asked for medium rare and very tough to cut. We also got the filet mignon with Madeira sauce and French fries which was definitely not filet mignon. There was a significant amount of tendon and connective tissue and so overcooked the meat was curled up. The last dish we ordered was the garlic aioli shrimp which was just garlic shrimp and not served with any aioli. They actually forgot to make this dish and we got it after we reminded them towards the end of our meal. I think if you get the rodizio it's very fast with the sides from their buffet bar and they come out with the meats fairly quickly. People who had rodizio and arrived after us also left before we were served any food. A lot of common items were sold out like the cheese bread, sparkling water, and beef with caramelized onions but we weren't notified before selecting so had to go through the menu again to pick other dishes. I could've complained but it was hard to get the server's attention or any honest answers. Like "it'll be out soon" and after saying that, he came to confirm what we ordered for the 4th time 40 min after ordering and still no food. It was incredibly hot because it was a sunny day and the front of the restaurant turned into a sauna. We could not wait to leave as soon as possible. Overall, bad service, bad food, high prices, and extremely long wait times without any notice or warning. Will not be going back. read more

Obutekim in Kirkland is at a quiet strip mall with plenty of parking. Inside, the restaurant has a beautiful, colorful blanketed ceiling. I had high hopes for Obutekim - an a la carte version of Brazilian BBQ, instead of AYCE. We have no self-control, so this is much better for portion control. Service was sufficient, not particularly attentive. They were busy chatting with folks at a table behind us (people they seem to know). We waved for water refills, etc. The food was a mixed bag of hits-and-miss resulting in a grumpy hubby. (We went to Fogo the next weekend to make up for it.) The Food: Beef with Madeira Wine Sauce and French Fries, $27 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Sautéed Filét Mignon with mushrooms, garlic, onions, parsley, creamy roti sauce, flambéed with Madeira wine. Served with French fries. This dish tasted pretty good with the light wine sauce, many mushrooms, and very crispy fries. The beef chunks tasted mostly good with mostly tender pieces. However, my dish (see photo) doesn't look like their online photo, which is a richer variant visually closer to what a beef bourguignon looks like. I think I missed out on whatever this dish is intended to be. Their pieces of beef are randomly cut in different sizes and shape, irregular and random. My mediocre knife skills can cut more uniform pieces of beef than they did. I like this dish enough but also not hitting the bar. Fried Banana Side, $8.50 - 4 Stars Menu: Banana empanada e Frita (Breaded and Fried Bananas) These fried bananas are under the Sides in the menu. We received unbreaded fried plantains, which is fine with us since we like fried plantains. Their online menu says breaded and fried bananas, and the photo is completely different. I don't know what this dish is supposed to be. Brazilian Churrasco, $27 - 2 Stars Menu: Choice of Beef Coulotte, Garlic Sirloin and Pork Sausage. Served with jasmine rice, Brazilian style black beans (containing smoked pork sausage), potato salad, and farofa. Choice of any meat. This dish should be amongst their signature dishes. Hubby chose their two beef options: beef coulotte and garlic sirloin. See photo. The tiny piece is the garlic sirloin, which is garlicky but a bit tough. The two bigger ones are beef coulottes which have little flavor (seasonings), both are tough, with thick trims of fat. He said "2 out of 5 stars" with a grumpy face. We loved the Shoreline location Botteco Brazil. Decided to give this sister location a try.. pretty disappointing. Interior decor is gorgeous with vibrant colors and fancy gold chair and beautiful tables/booths. Food is so mid, kind of overpriced for what you get. The service was so slow with one guy doing it all.. serving and prepping food in the back. Took so long to flag him down for the bill. The steak was seasoned well and we loved the meat in the beans. Portion size is decent.. but most of our steak had fatty pieces that couldn't be eaten. What a waste. Overall, I wouldn't come back for dinner. They do a lunch buffet.. maybe I need to check that out. read more

The transition from the Lake City Botteco to the Kirkland Obutekim is completed, with the rodizio churrasco on weekends! For mainly meat-lovers, the experience is addictive. Freshly grilled meats to desired wellness, side orders cooked when ordered, this is the best Brazilian experience we have found in the Greater Seattle area. Service is attentive and the meats keep coming so long as your card is on the green side. The decor follows on from the prior location but with more color. This is a family favorite. read more

tl;dr the real deal Brazilian food Came here with a Brazilian friend and they were blown away to find an authentic Brazilian restaurant (that wasn't just a steakhouse). Their meat, as expected, was incredible, but it was their other offerings that truly blew us away like the stroganoff. My friend was transported back to his childhood home in Brazil. read more

Place was def giving deserted money laundering vibes. Host was super straight forward nonchalant but the steak lemme tell you it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Tried this sport during a dinner time on a weekday. The service was good. The ordered was taken promptly. We were given food recommendations by the staff. We ended up trying the beef steak churasco special, beef stroganoff and the lamb. The steak was a bit dry even though we ordered a medium., the lamb was excellent and the stroganoff was not bad. The food was all well marinated and flavorful. There plenty of parking around and ambience is not bad - lots of colors and decors that will take you to Brazil. read more

Is has been a journey to find worth-while-and-money Brazilian food and I'm excited to say we have finally done it! O Butekim has DELICIOUSSSS feijoada, feijão tropeiro, carne acebolada and THE BEST Brazilian lemonade. We also tried the frango a passarinho and the mousse de maracujá. Priscila was our server, she was so patient, fun to talk to , and showed that typical Brazilian warmth. The place is small, the restrooms are clean and they have two screens, which I don't care for unless they're showing a soccer game. This place opened up early August of this year and I was excited to try it. I don't really know a lot about Brazilian cuisine but this place did not disappoint! We loved everything from the fried plantains, fried yuca, garlic shrimp to the beans and steak. Lots of good flavors. The waiter, Rodrigo, was super friendly and attentive. Spectacular food and service! Small cozy restaurant with hand painted art, wooden macaws, and comfortable booth seating. Can not recommend enough!!! We ordered Feijoada, Beef With Caramelized Onion, and received an order of Fried Yucca. The seasoning, sauces, and overall preparedness of the meal was spot on. Never been so exited to enjoy my leftovers tomorrow since the portions are Brazilian sized! 10/10 will be back again soon! read more

The stars are for the friendly server and the good service. The steak combo I ordered is super tough to chew and the doneness was off. Ordered steaks to be done medium rare and one of the three cuts received was merely cooked. Price wise is affordable somewhat but let's not sacrifice meet quality for the price. read more

Saboroso! We tried this place out the other night and wow, such great food, such big portions and quality!! Very fair prices all around, we ordered an appetizer (?) that was just a bunch of beef and chicken but I don't see it on the menu and I don't remember it was called, the "Brazilian stroganoff" in vegetarian with heart of palm, Feijoada, and two passion fruit creams. The meat appetizer was so delicious, perfectly seasoned tender meat, both the beef and the chicken, flavorful but in a way that brought out the natural flavors too. Both the Stroganoff and the Feijoada were large and very filling, very flavorful but not overseasoned at all, you could taste every ingredient in harmony. The only change I would have made was I wanted the passion fruit cream to have more passion fruit and less custard flavor but the opposite was true for my spouse who thought the passion fruit was so sweet, I think the tartness balances it perfectly. The Yelp page is a bit weird and has some strange videos but overall it's clean and bright inside, well kept, nice booth seats although we did takeout so we don't personally experience them. Overall a fantastic find and I don't know if it's "the best Brazilian steakhouse in the country" as the website claims but it may very well be one of the best Brazilian statehouses at its price point, certainly the best I've been to! Employees were friendly and made sure to double check our order and added to the experience. I have been waiting for this place to open and it was well worth the wait. The food is incredible. The food is fresh and the flavor is amazing. The selection is great. The meat is unlike anything I've eaten before for,the chef seasons the meat to perfection. The ambience is cozy, warm yet colorful. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. Great find in Totem Lake area. Plenty of free parking. Food and drinks were both excellent. Fixed menu during the week. Someone posted about a rodizio on the weekends, but please verify this if you are set on that type experience. Ambiance is peaceful, clean, and quiet compared to the large commercial Brazilian churrasco places (various meat dishes delivered to the table). Interesting art gives off a true Brazilian vibe. Let's start with the basics: probably the best rice and beans I've ever had and this is what binds the meal together. Lunch: feels like eating a home cooked meal! Lots of variety at the bar to make your own plate, on different days, different meats and side dishes. I've tried the steak & onion, beef stew, roasted fish, fried pork, all of it is so good! Throw in some garlic picana made to order and there isn't a better lunch nearby Dinner: my daughter had picana with rice and beans, I had picana , linguica and garlic steak! Plenty of rice and feijoada for my kid to have breakfast the next day . Rodizio: came on a Saturday night, better than the chains nearby! Lamb picana was stellar, so was the flank and sirloin. Garlic shrimp and fried pork is awesome, and of course rice and beans. Again all the sides feel like a home cooked meal Drinks: I really like the limonada, haven't tried the alcoholic drinks but they look good. I think I was excited to try this place. I went for dinner though, not for lunch. The food was mostly fine, but I do think the prices for everything were too much for the experience you get. The staff is nice, but I think they forgot about us quite quickly. The food is very heavy (not bad, just heavy), and I think I would've been happy to just pay half the price for half the food. I think if you go for dinner, maybe plan to share. Ultimately though. I wasn't sure why everything was so expensive at the end. I don't plan to come back, but I get that they are newer, so if there are any changes in the future to fix the issues, maybe I'll give it another try. read more
