One of our regular Mediterranean stops in Issaquah. The chicken shawarma is good here, the chicken is good but sometimes a bit dry and less spicy. I usually need to use their chili sauce to feel the heat. The chicken kababs roll has a good chicken pieces but there is lack of heat in this roll as well. I've eaten here occasionally through the years and always thought it was a decent Mediterranean restaurant. The employees are always super friendly and the restaurant is always clean. I was craving Mediterranean food and didn't feel like cooking after a long day at work. Ordered the beef shawarma plate and a side of the tabbouleh salad. There was a 10-15 minute wait but when I picked up my order I thought the package felt super light so I quickly scanned my order. I was hungry and ready to eat! I was surprised how "small" the order of tabbouleh salad was. For $6.50 it was just 2 bites. It was basically a thin layer spread on the bottom of the box. I used to order this and it was probably 3x the amount. The beef shawarma plate was ok. I used to love their rice but it didn't taste the same. Their hummus is very good. My family has been coming to this Garlic Crush since we moved to Issaquah and we love their food. Their shawarma sandwiches are our go-to, and we always order a side of their delicious garlic fries. I think I have to break up with Garlic Crush. It's just too many wrong things. 1. They forgot two of our entrees of our to-go order and my teen daughter was in a rush and didn't check. Ugh. 2. When I called them back and told them they forgot two of the entrees and was told apathetically "Sorry. There was a rush. Would you want a refund or to come back?" Sadly we were disappointed in our most recent dining experience there. The chicken schwarma sandwich was super disappointing. The chicken was very dry and tasteless and the other ingredients were pretty flavorless. The chicken kabobs were also quite dry. The tabbouleh and cauliflower were OK but not enough to make me want to go back and give it another shot. The garlic sauce on the cauliflower was just quite muted in flavor. Got takeout on a Sunday evening and the food was really quick. The kofta meat and rice were a little dry. We enjoyed the gyro meat the best. The pita and hummus is excellent! Such good citrusy flavor from the hummus with a hint of lemon and Italian parsley and a hearty wheat flavor from the pita. Chicken shawarma salad- veggies were very fresh but chicken was way too salty. I had to boil it when I got home and even then it was a bit much. The short view: this is a good Mediterranean restaurant. The longer more complete view: First of all I have eaten in the restaurant, and had delivery from multiple third-party delivery services. The plates from the grill are the standard entree: your choice of a protein served on a bed of yellow rice and roasted red peppers with a side of hummus. They are all good; but, my favorite is the kofta plate. These are skewers of mixed ground meat (beef and lamb) they are cooked well; but, are still moist and flavorful. It's definitely worth selecting the side of lentil soup that comes along with the order at no extra cost. This soup classifies as comfort food, at least by my guidelines it does! It's worth the extra ~$2.50 to get a large garlic paste. This is an excellent condiment for all the grill plates. I also recommend the tzatzici sauce (also ~$2.50) to go with the gyro and schwarma sandwiches. For sides the cauliflower is excellent. This is a good way to eat a vegetable without realizing it's a vegetable. The various forms of fries are OK; but, nothing extraordinary. All in all this is a very good place for tasty generalist Mediterranean food! Plus, it's in a shopping plaza so there is plenty of parking. As always your mileage and performance may vary. read more

I ordered the Gyro combo which comes with soup (red lentil) or salad. Gyro meat served with with yellow rice and a delicious white sauce. My husband ordered the meat combo. We haven't tried the lentil soup, but the salad is delicious. The food is not cheap, but nothing these days are. The price is fair. I alway forget to take a picture , before I start eating because the food it so good. You can make two meals if your not a big eater, or not that hungry. Is it just me, or does the quality of Mediterranean dishes tend to be the same regardless of if you dine in or order takeout? I don't eat this type of cuisine often, but when I do, I am reminded of how much I enjoy it. After just one trip to Garlic Crush, I'll definitely be back again for more! Three of us stopped by on a Saturday around noon and there were already several people dining in and picking up orders during the lunch rush. Their menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, grill plates and sandwiches. While their grill plates may seem pricey at about $17-18 each, the serving size is more than generous and they all include rice, warm pita bread and your choice of soup or salad. It turns out to be a great value! After ordering at the counter, we waited about 15 minutes before our food was all packed and ready to go. I ordered the Chicken Kebab Plate with soup ($16.50) which came with several grilled pieces of chicken breast atop a bed of rice, sautéed onions and red peppers, hummus, pita bread and garlic paste. The chicken was tender, nicely seasoned and had a perfect grilled flavor. For the ultimate bite, grab a piece of chicken and bell pepper and dip it in their garlic paste! This creamy paste is the definition of garlicky and elevated the chicken to another level. I also loved the soup which was a pureed lentil seasoned with warm spices. After a couple nibbles of the pita and smooth nutty hummus, I saved the rest for a later snack. My Dad ordered the Meat Combo plate ($17.95) which included all the elements of my meal, plus grilled lamb and kefta. The kefta are essentially meatballs which tasted like a blend of beef and lamb with plenty of spices. My Mom got the Beef & Lamb Shawarma ($16.75), described as "sliced rotisserie beef and lamb mix", but the meat was actually chopped into smaller pieces. The flavor of the meat was fine, but this just didn't turn out to be what we expected. While we only interacted with the cashier at the front counter, service was friendly and the staff in the kitchen appeared to have a good system for churning out orders. Anytime a customer asked to dine in, the cashier asked to see Covid vaccination cards or proof of a negative Covid test. Finally, when our food was ready, the cashier met us halfway in the middle of the restaurant to hand us our bag rather than just placing it at the counter for pickup. This place made me lose a little faith in the editors & food critiques on the infatuations app. Cons: It's very average across the board. The fries were probably the best thing that we ordered. The hummus and rice weren't great, the chicken kebab was just alright. Inside is a bit dirty and the building felt dated & dark (not really a problem though). Pros: The gentleman who took our order and brought our food was nice and friendly. There's not a lot of options for Mediterranean/Lebanese food in Issaquah, but I'm really glad Garlic Crush is so close to me. Anytime I'm craving a gyro, shawarma, kebabs, hummus and pita, etc. and I don't want to go far, I'm always going to Garlic Crush. The prices are reasonable and the portions are more than enough to make you full. If you want a sandwich like the Classic Gyro, they're only $8, but my go-to is usually the Gyro plate or Beef and Lamb Shawarma Plate. Both are served under a large pile of rice with plenty of vegetables including grilled onions and peppers on top. The to-go plates literally feels like they weigh 5+ pounds and it comes with soup and salad as well. The only negative feedback I have with Garlic Crush is that when you try to phone in an order, I had to call in multiple times before someone would pick up and take my order. in one instance, I had to call them 5 times before someone took my call. I guess that's a good sign because they're very busy. Overall, Garlic Crush is still my go-to whenever I'm craving Mediterranean food and I need it stat. Food was good, location was good. Outside dining was shaded and exactly what you'd want on a hot day. The chicken shawarma sandwich was tasty. The meat could have had a bit more color on it to enhance the flavor. The beef kebab plate was pretty good. Not as much flavor as I expected especially in the rice but not complaining about it either. It would be really enjoyable if the pepper and onion were on a kebob as well so they too could have some color. Overall we enjoyed our meal. My food was ready for pick up on time and packaged nicely with care from the friendly young man working the counter. The falafel were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. They had a slightly sweet flavor which reminded me of nutmeg. Yummy! On a large bed of lettuce with some pickled veggies. A small side of rice and hummus. Also, a small container of tahini to dip the falafel in. The Greek salad was larger than I though. For $7.50 it was a great deal too. Feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers and lovely black olives. A small vinaigrette was the perfect light dressing. The side piece of pita bread was a tasty treat alongside the meal. Parking here is not as tricky as I'd thought. I didn't eat there but noticed some outside tables which were good. Inside was a bit small and I could see the meat on spits turning. Maybe next time I'll order a gyro. Solid props and taste. Food is still tasty but the inflation to almost 20$ a plate with the shrinkflation removing more than half of the quantity which used to be delivered makes this no longer worth the price. It's sad to post this, but food quality has really gone down. The meat taste and quality is bad, too mushy and flavorless. I'm really can't nail it. The chicken kebab didn't taste good either. It tastes like the spices in the marinade was not cooked out all the way perhaps? Again - not sure but didn't taste good. Add to the fact that the prices are way high for the quality and amount of food plus the pressure to tip when you gotta bus your own table. There really isn't reason to go back here anymore :( I use to come here once every 2 weeks for my work lunch, it really was a great high quality gyro joint. We ordered Shawarma Plate and Gyro plate. Both were salty, I am not sure if it was the sauce or the meat that was too salty. Service is also just okay, you order at the counter.
