    Chapli Kabab
    Nausheen D.

We went on a Sunday evening and it was empty with a couple tables occupied and just one server. Service seemed a bit slower than what I would like but the food was to the point with generous portion, reasonably priced. I wish they gave more chutney containers with that big of a platter especially when the service is slow and there's just one person handling all the tables. I would definitely go back for their Chapli Kababs.

Wow, star all around! This restaurant is chefs kiss amazing. I followed Erika's (influencer) foodie here and it was soo good! A blast of flavors and spices. The chicken with the limes were a perfect pair; good amount of spice and charred slightly. I never expected it to be this good but I couldn't stop eating it. We definitely got hit with the food coma after! It may look like a small portion but the meat chunks are big. You'll be full after eating half. 100% recommend trying this place if you're nearby. The service was good the owners very social and tells you good recommendations. The place is clean and surprisingly big as well. More of a casual eats location. The floors oddly sticky .

I finally made it to Maza Grill in Kent, WA, after hearing so much hype, and I can confidently say its my favorite spot now. From the moment we walked in, the experience was thoughtful and welcoming. The food was really delicious! The ribeye, lamb shank, and fish sandwiches were perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and you can tell the care that goes into the preparation. It's worth the drive, even though it's far from where I live. The service was equally just as amazing. While I was there with a group of sisters, including moms and kids, the server brought over a divider to provide us privacy without us even asking. That small act of thoughtfulness meant so much and is a beautiful example of Islamic adab (manners) in action. What also stood out was the prayer space, moussala, which allowed us to complete all our prayers comfortably. The entire experience felt like more than just dining--it felt like community. Reverting to Islam has truly been the greatest blessing of my life. The kindness and consideration I've experienced in spaces like this remind me how beautiful our religion is. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to share these moments with my sisters in faith. May Allah bless the owners and staff of Maza Grill, and may He guide more hearts to the beauty of Islam. Ameen. I highly recommend Maza Grill--great food, excellent service, and an overall amazing experience.

Saw this place on TikTok and decided to try it. You might overlook it if you didn't know it was there, but it's worth checking out! The restaurant is large, quiet, and relaxed, with amazing staff who helped my wife pick non-spicy options. The owner came around to chat, which added a nice touch. The food was incredibly flavorful--especially the sauce with the kabobs, which was so good I used it on everything. We paid $65 for an appetizer, two dishes, and a large side of naan, with enough leftovers for another meal. Will definitely return many times over!

This is more of a 3.5 star but I'm rounding up because my sister and husband really enjoyed their naan bread hahaha I had to deduct a star because of the wait. This is the first time both my husband and I started playing games because the food was taking too long (~40-45 minutes). It wasn't even busy. The other part was that I wish their menu was more clear. I was hesitant about ordering my dish because the picture just showed 5 pieces of meat with nothing else while other pictures had rice and salad on them. In the end though, the dish came with rice, a salad and some sauces too and it was huge. Food wise: Lamb tika kebab - the meat was good but inconsistently cooked. Certain one was more tender than others but the flavor was good. The ice and salad and sauce was also very good. Really fluffy rice! Garlic naan - not the typical Indian naan bread, more like pizza crust. But it was good, wish there was more garlic though. My sister and husband loved this, I would have like it more if I wasnt craving for regular naan :) Overall, it was good place to try and I hope they improve the wait time because I would totally come back to try other food if it wasn't for the wait

This is my favorite place for a great steak. As in fabulously presented, thick, juicy, perfectly cooked to preference, keeps my taste buds joyful to the last bite. Maza Grill appears to have an established reputation in the local community, winning culinary excellence and annual best-of awards regularly, and the choice dining location for many folks in the community. There is a large variety of dishes in the menu representing the best of Indian and Pakistani cuisine, and yet I keep gravitating to the ribeye. It is a distance for me to travel here and since I cannot come as often as I would like, I cannot help but have the ribeye. On the rare occasion, a close alternative would be the Namakmandi Lamb Tikka. Flawlessly grilled, paired with the cranberry rice or roasted potatoes. Tummy yummy! Whether for a special occasion or a reward from hard work, this restaurant is THE place to especially satisfy the carnivorous side of you.

It's been years since we last visited Maza Grill, and I have to say, the renovations are beautiful! The restaurant now features bright green walls, elegant chandeliers, and a great mix of tables and booths. My husband and I ordered our usuals. He had the ribeye steak, which he said was cooked perfectly, and I had my favorite, the steak burger--it definitely hit the spot! The service was spot-on as always. We'll be back soon!.

Great quality with great prices. The atmosphere welcomes you with a pleasant and joyful staff. Family & I came to eat on Sunday, Feb 18th after my parents landed from Thailand. I just let my brother order since it was my first time here. The selected entrees were amazing! I don't remember what any of these dishes were but the quality of the meat & vegetables were fresh. The flavors are enough and not overpowering. The portions were so generous. It was an amazing lunch. I had food coma afterwards while driving home in Graham. I will definitely come back!

First time eating Pakistani food and my group and I were very impressed! We got the steak burger, lamb kabab dish and the marinated lamb dish "Namak Mundi Lamb Tikka". Portions are a very good size! The basmati rice is very well spiced, so delicious! The lamb Tikka was well cooked and marinated! The 2 kababs that came with my plate were huge! I was not able to finish it all but I did my best. We also had the steak burger and that was so large and filling and great ribeye meat! Overall very good atmosphere. Workers there, very polite, friendly and very informative and patient with all our questions. Definitely will come back, very worth it, fairly priced for a good cooked meal. Kudos to the chef!

We ordered a chicken curry dish that he said was the chef's specialty, a chicken dish that came on a hot plate, and garlic naan. The flavors were very great and we were happy with the portion size. We thought they could have given a bit more sauce with the curry since the dish they used to serve it seemed a little small but the amount of chicken in there was great. The dishes also came with rice which was nice. We'll definitely be back in the future to try out more of their menu. At the end of our meal, the chef even came out and asked us if we liked the food. The garlic naan was also very yummy. We enjoyed our time there!

The service here was terrific for us. They even educated us on some of the differences between Pakistani and Indian cuisine. It was a carry-out only for us. The food was hit or miss with me. At the heart of this change is a place i simply can't overlook, Queen Safa Market and Deli. This supermarket is massive and stepping inside genuinely felt like entering another universe. Markets like this are common in larger U.S. cities, but in Seattle? Rare. Naturally, I headed straight to the deli section (of course i was there for afghan food!), but curiosity got the best of me. I wanted to know more about the story behind this new market, and started strolling around. One thing that immediately caught my eye waa their pizza master in action, spinning dough up high in the air, prepping a massive 22-inch halal chicken pizza. I had to try it. And wow, it was delicious, so good. The crust was soft with the perfect thickness, topped with well-seasoned chicken and vegetables. When I asked how long he's been making pizzas, he smiled and said, "10 years." Well i could taste the experience. Of course, no visit to an Afghan spot is complete without my favorite dish -- Qabuli Pilau. Made with a tender lamb shank, it was cooked perfectly. And here's something that really stood out -- the rice and oil they use are from their own brand: Queen Safa. They import and package their essentials under their label , something I haven't seen in any other Seattle market. That's not just impressive -- it's game-changing. Step outside and you'll immediately be hit with the aroma of kababs grilling over open flames. I ordered the lamb tikka kabab with warm, fresh Afghan bread. The quality of the meat was fantastic. The tikka had that classic Afghan subtle seasoning though personally, I'd have loved just a touch more flavor. Still, very good with high quality meat. Speaking of bread, their bakery section is something else. The entire kitchen is visible, so you get to see the action as it happens. Giant ovens working non-stop, multiple dozens of Afghan breads baking at once, and a variety unlike anything I've seen elsewhere in the greater Seattle area. While I came for the food, I left impressed by so much more, afghan carpets, traditional clothing, clay pottery (and at reasonable prices!), crockery, imported spices, grains, oils, snacks... truly, they have everything. And this is just the beginning, i could see the butchery still on its way to be finished. Once fully set up, Queen Safa is well on its way to becoming the largest halal supermarket and deli in the Seattle area. With their in-house brand and growing presence, it's more than just a market, it's a brand emerging from the city itself. I know they recently became fully zabiha hand slaughtered halal, but please do your due diligence to confirm

(Oftentimes, publishers loop Indian and Pakistani cuisine into the same category.) Before we get into the food, I must praise their fully covered seating area that houses five tables. Even in the rain and wind, you can enjoy your meal in a completely sheltered space! Any Washingtonian knows how important this is, especially during the wet months. Three of us arrived for lunch around noon and it was surprisingly quiet. No one else was by the truck nor at the neighboring Tikka Masala restaurant. One employee manned the truck, graciously welcomed us and we chatted with him briefly about the menu. He informed us of the most popular items and mentioned his favorite, "The Boti To My Roti" (chicken wrap). I was so close to ordering the "A Bihari Affair" (beef wrap), but when he said that was too spicy for him, that told me all I needed to hear. I wasn't going to take any chances, haha. Our order took about 20 minutes to prepare, which is pretty long considering we were the only customers. However, I had read about the wait times in other reviews and the one guy was cooking everything by himself, so I didn't mind hanging out for a bit. + BOTI TO MY ROTI ($12.95): Pieces of marinated chicken and slices of pickled onion rolled up in a roti flatbread. The chicken was lean and super tender, with a slight smoky flavor, and covered in what seemed to be a garlicky yogurt sauce with Indian spices. It had a mild spice and I liked the slight tartness from the onion. The roti was light and was a great vessel for the saucy filling. + CHIPAS ($5.95): This side of fries was deliciously seasoned and drizzled in a garlic mayo. They were hot and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy inside. + EK DUM KARAK ($3.85): A piping hot cup of chai tea served with a biscuit. This was such a comforting drink on a cold day. The menu stated it's extra strong, which I didn't quite notice while drinking, but I did feel a little jittery later in the day. The biscuit was like a lighter and crispier version of a biscotti and nice to dip in the chai. Their menu also features various types of burgers and I hear they also serve a weekend brunch. My main qualm is just that the pricing is on the steeper side for their burgers and wraps, which are at least $12.95 each. All together, three of us got two rotis, one burger, one side of fries and two chai teas, totaling $53! My roti wrap was enough for me, but I think the average person would still be hungry after eating only that. Pakistani eateries are not abundant at all on the Eastside, so I'd still recommend giving Lari Adda a try if you're looking for something new and unique.

It's rare for me to have someone order an entire meal without my input, but this was best to sit back and just wait and see. Eventually a variety of dishes start appearing, see attached photos. They were tasty but nothing overly remarkable compared my usual go to in Greenwood. The date shake was novel though. I still cannot believe the volume of food ordered. I remember just having a modest amount to be polite. The restaurant itself at the time went through an interior refresh. While seated, I observed a healthy traffic of takeout preCovid-19. And eventually towards, the end of this meal, additional customers came in to be seated. I frequent Capitol Hill, both preCovid-19 and during the pandemic restrictions.
