Came here on a Thursday night for a friends birthday. We arrived a couple minutes after the rest of the party and there were no table settings for us, no menus or waters. We were never given silverware until we asked for it while ordering our entrees. The service was incredibly slow and our server had a weird attitude the entire time. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but so loud and there was no music playing. Our server took drink orders from everyone except me. Another guest asked her a question about the menu, she disappeared for over 10 minutes came back and took my order for a drink. My friend asked about mocktails and she just said you can make any drink a mocktail. The espresso martini was delicious. However our waters never got refilled and the server did not ask anyone if they wanted another cocktail. The best part of the evening was the avocado Caesar salad. It was fresh and I liked the crunchy bread pieces. The shrimp was horrible!!! I should've said something in the moment but I didn't want to be that person at another persons birthday. They were SO tough, I had to saw through it with my knife. They were incredibly tough and rubbery. The sauce it came with was straight garlic. The beef Wellington was lackluster. I was very excited to try this restaurant and left completely disappointed. For a restaurant that advertises as an upscale dining experience the food and the service did not reflect that.
We decided to try this place and take advantage of the restaurant week 3 course meal special and had the strawberry salad, meatball appetizer, had the filet with mashed potatoes, hubby decided to order with the upgrade of getting it oscar style all was delicious.Ordered lemon and butter cake both very disappointed the butter cake was drenched in sauce nothing special, the lemon hardly tasted like lemon. I had their drink special and was absolutely delicious. Will come back to give it another try.
Had a client lunch at Wren & Wolf in downtown Phoenix, and what a fantastic lodge-inspired, highly decorated venue. The taxidermy, rich materials, and striking design give it an incredible, moody atmosphere that stands completely apart from the standard downtown lunch spot. The staff was professional, attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. The food was spot-on, and starting the meal, I had the wild core pasta, and my friends. Turkey club looked massive, with their bread service and truffle butter is an absolute must-do recommendation. Great spot if you want an elevated midday meal in a truly unique setting.
Located in downtown next to the Renaissance Hotel, Wren & Wolf is an absolute gem in the Phoenix food scene. The interior design is unmatched and looks like the interior of a decadent cabin. As it is located in downtown, parking is abysmal, but there is cheap/paid curbside parking all around if you can find a close spot. The food made in their scratch kitchen speaks for itself. The first time I visted we sat at the bar and were cared for by Dominique. We absolutely love her!!! I wanted a sweet, fruity cocktail for which she recommended the raspberry baray (raspberry infused vodka, bianco vermouth, crème de flora, passionfruit cava, pineapple, lemon, tonka bean). We also got an order of the truffled manchego fries with lemon aioli to share. It was so crispy and flavorful! Last but not least, I ordered the 16oz Ribeye served with whipped parmesan potatoes, roasted baby carrots. WOW! The steak's texture and flavor was out of this world. Dominique told us it's dry-aged!! Truly artisan crafts happening in the scratch kitchen. HIGHLY recommend Wren & Wolf to all Phoenix foodies and traveling foodies, as they offer a quality experience (food, service, ambiance) truly justified by the price point. P.S. after our first visit here, we went back the next day for the exact same foods!
We went to Wren & Wolf after our Carry On experience. Our "flight" was at 3:30 p.m., so it worked out perfectly to have dinner at Wren & Wolf afterward. It was Sunday and before 5 p.m., so the place was pretty empty. The restaurant is huge and decorated with wolf statues and paintings. They also have a lounge area, bar area, regular tables, and plenty of booths. There were a few other groups there who had also come from the 3:30 Carry On flight. Even though it wasn't busy, they seated us right next to another group. It felt a bit cramped, and since the tables were so close together, we could hear their entire conversation, and I'm sure they could hear ours too. Since we had already been snacking during Carry On, we weren't very hungry. We ordered a couple of appetizers, the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries, and then we also ordered the spaghetti, duck breast, halibut, and chicken for our mains. The food was decent, but everything leaned a little salty. If you park at the Renaissance Square Parking Garage, they'll validate your parking for up to three hours. Overall, I'm glad we checked it out.
I love the aesthetic of this place. Didn't get any special cocktails or anything. For my main course I ordered the Oxtail Pasta, which was quite tasty. Seems as though most of the flavor was in the oxtail as opposed to the actual pasta. The east coast oyster were tasty as well. The service was pretty standard and the staff seemed to know the menu well.
This is a pretty cool place. The ambience is nice and the decor is quite interesting, but definitely fits the theme of the restaurant. Our server was wonderful! We enjoyed talking to him about his travels and life plans. I ordered a drink that I didn't like very much, so he brought me another another one of his choice, which was much better. The food has a Mediterranean flair and was definitely flavorful, but there were a few dishes that were too salty. We tried the zaa'tar man'ouche and the concept was great, but there wasn't enough cheese inside and too much spice/salt on top. The grilled oysters were excellent and had a tasty smoked tomato flavor. For entrees, the lobster tagliatelle had such a delicious smoky flavored sauce, but unfortunately it was way too salty and the lobster was overcooked. We let the manager know about that one and he tasted the sauce and agreed. The herb crusted halibut was very good, with yummy snap peas and beets. We decided to try the black walnut affagato for dessert. It was a bit disappointing because it comes with vanilla ice cream and a black walnut bitter, which is super strong if you taste it alone, but mixed with the ice cream and espresso loses its walnutty flavor. We overpaid for that one. The food is quite overpriced, but if done right I think it's worth it. Just expect that you'll be paying a lot for this dinner. We had a chance to check out the trophy room after dinner; our server was nice enough to make a reservation, likely because it was not too busy that night. They make you lock your phone in a locker. The room is quite small but has unique decor that fits the theme of the restaurant. The bartender did not smile or make eye contact the whole time, but was very knowledgeable about the drinks and different liquers they use. The drink menu is also very unique and has some interesting drink options. I had one with balsamic, strawberry, and marscapone which was different than any drink I've tried before. It was an enjoyable way to end the night.

I had pretty high expectations given the reviews of this place. We came here the other night to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated immediately at our reservation time at 5:30 pm. Park in the Renaissance Two garage and you can have the hostess validate it for a few hours. The ambiance is lovely -- very moody, intimate and dimly lit which would be perfect for a date night. To start, our server brought out champagne once she knew we were celebrating our anniversary. This was a nice beginning to our evening! We ordered the Noble bread with truffle butter to start -- the bread was grilled quite a bit which I enjoyed but my partner did not. We also ordered the Crudo -- the sauce was delicate and had great, novel flavors however I was very disappointed in the serving size. For our entree, we shared the beef Wellington -- this is a special treat with the chef coming out to present it to us. It came with an order of mashed potatoes, duck confit and we also ordered the asparagus. Our daughter had a filet which came either mashed potatoes and carrots. The beef Wellington was tasty and cooked perfectly. The filet is covered in chimichurri and wrapped in a puff pastry. Best practice is to reserve it in advance to guarantee it as your entree. It was very rich and very filling -- I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't order it again. The mashed potatoes were delicious and super creamy but the star of the show for me was definitely the asparagus -- perfectly cooked with the rich béarnaise sauce. Our service was not as great as I would have liked unfortunately. I noticed she was serving a larger party as well but I felt like given the price point for this restaurant, it was not acceptable. Overall, we were a bit underwhelmed and disappointed in our experience here. I'm glad we tried it but probably won't be back.
I always love coming to Wren & Wolf. I decor is kind of cool with taxidermy wildlife and large paintings of animals throughout the dining room. There is a little lounge seating area with sofas and a huge painting of an outdoor scene. It's kind of cool. I also love the lighting which feels like little balls floating over the tables. Our server was fantastic - very attentive and friendly and cute as a bug's ear. We started by ordering drinks. Hubby just ordered a beer, and I got the Raspberry Baray. I've ordered a different cocktail from their menu every time I've come and this has been my favorite. It was delish! For starter we got the meatballs served on creamy polenta. They were fantastic and quite large. I love them! For entrees, hubby got the Atlantic salmon with fingerling potatoes and I got the center cut filet with mashed potatoes and baby carrots. Both were so yummy. My filet was cooked exactly the way I love it. For dessert, hubby had the lemon cake with Bavarian cream and I had the butter cake with strawberries and whipped cream. They were both heavenly! If you come, make sure that you have a reservation. We saw many people trying to drop in without a reservation. They were sent to the bar but at one point there were no seats at the bar so people had to just leave.
Amazing food, outstanding service, beautiful decor. Beef Wellington was better than Gordon Ramsey's in Bangkok Thailand. Heather our server was outstanding. Chef cut and presented our Wellington table side. Make sure you reserve one when making your reservation. Trophy room was an experience like no other. My husband and I brought our daughter here for our anniversary dinner, and we had such an amazing experience from beginning to end! From the hostess, to our server, to every single staff member we interacted with, everyone was incredibly pleasant, welcoming, and attentive. The service really stood out and made our anniversary dinner feel that much more special. We also got to try the caviar, which was incredible! The food was amazing, the drinks were great, and the ambiance was honestly about as perfect as it could be. Everything came together to make it such a memorable night for the three of us. We left so happy with our experience and will absolutely be adding this place to our list of restaurants to return to. Highly recommend!
I first tried this restaurant on a date night, and loved their ambience as well as their bone marrow so much, that I planned a dinner with 6 other of my ladies for a girls night out soon after. It was perfect because we also ended up in trophy room at the end of the night, which is a speakeasy connected to Wren & Wolf. Their food: their bone marrow is one of the best I've ever had. I'd honestly come back for a good glass of wine, and bone marrow with a few other apps. The truth is, I'm not all that crazy about their entrees, especially for the price -- flavor could be better but I gave 5 stars because the restaurant really is one of the nicest I've tried in Phx/Scottsdale area. Service is pretty great and always on top of it. As someone whose family has owned restaurants most of my life, I'm highly appreciative of good service since it's becoming rarer these days and this place has it.
This is the perfect place for ANY meal while visiting Phoenix. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this restaurant is excellent and delivers on all levels. Gorgeous trendy decor, spacious booths and tables, and delicious menu. We absolutely love visiting Phoenix and Wren & Wolf is a huge incentive! Can't wait to come back! The food is absolutely fantastic. I can eat the strawberry arugula and ricotta salad every day and sometimes twice a day. The fish whether it's the halibut or salmon is incredible! The duck is amazing. The spaghetti pesto is great. The breakfast burrito is THE BEST we've ever had ever! Dessert is still just a maybe here. I haven't had anything that's blown me away, but I have hope! Lol. One day... soon. read more
Other than needing to use my flashlight on my phone to read the menu, the experience was great. The bar staff and waiters were really personable. The drinks are delicious. The food was even better. Definitely the best duck all around I've had in a long time. My friend had the pistachio crusted pork, Tomahawk schnitzel, and having a taste of it made me jealous. I didn't order that too. Definitely will be coming back the next time I'm in Phoenix read more

Celebrated a birthday at Wren & Wolf. Overall I would say it was an amazing experience. From the quality of the food, the ambiance being a dark and cozy feel, and the service being attentive and quick. We ordered oysters to start off and then cleansed our pallet with some caviar bumps. The entree I ordered was a steak and it was perfectly cooked. Be prepared to spend but for the special occasion I thought it was completely worth it. We didn't try the beef Wellington but the table next to us did, and it looks so good. I recommend Wren & Wolf for a date night or special occasion where you want an elevated and elegant experience. read more

My friends and I came here to celebrate our birthdays. The server was super attentive and gave amazing recommendations, loved the vibe it was very upscale comfort. The tagliatelle noodles were really good, I ordered the ribeye it was very flavorful and I enjoyed it Oscar style there was a good amount of crab meat. Also the dessert was very rich. read more

there was eight of us in our party, our server was very attentive... four of us ordered the beef Wellington, which was absolutely delicious. It did take quite a long while between ordering and actually receiving our food which we were made aware of since they cook to order. One of us ordered the fish of the day which was bass that was on top of succotash ... This area is really dicey after dark. I would definitely go back during the day time. I thought the ambience was extremely interesting with birds hanging from the ceiling, a wolf and many nature pictures, but a little bit too dark. Everybody had their flashlight on their phone on so they could see the menu. read more

Man I hate to leave this review but I hated my experience more. I don't usually leave bad reviews but this was a poor experience. I had a 7:45pm reservation and am now leaving this review in a Lyft going home at 8:30pm. I was so excited to eat here for my birthday, which is today. I made reservations days in advance and even paid a $25 deposit for the reservation. I noted that it was my birthday. I did make the choice to dine alone today as I'm on a solo trip. I arrived on time and when I told the host I had a reservation she looked it up and asked another guy to take me to my seat. He proceeded to lead me to a seat at the bar. I reminded him I had a reservation and he let me know this was my seat. The restaurant was not very busy. There were tables available. Funny enough, two people came and up to the two empty chairs beside me and asked the bartender if they could sit and he let them know it was first come first serve. So I paid $25 to sit at the bar and they came in at the same time and sat at the same spot I had a reservation for. At this point I was trying to be in good spirits but just couldn't enjoy my birthday dinner at a bar seat. I ordered a Caesar salad and a martini and ate and left. I guess I can say the food and drinks came quickly because I was sat and left within 30 minutes. read more
I have not been here for dinner but let me just say this place is vibing I go here occasionally for a coffee and pastry and every time the service is phenomenal the coffees are pretty delicious and the pastries are very tasty I am hoping to come in for dinner soon as there menu, both food and beverage, looks and sounds incredible read more
Suchhh a great experience at this restaurant. Incredible drinks (try the "I love you but I love me more") and the steak was wonderful, but the real show stopped was the tagliatelle. I really enjoyed this dinner and will definitely go back! read more
I have been to Wren & Wolf for brunch and dinner. Every experience has been met with busy, yet friendly staff. While Wren & Wolf does not have a dedicated gluten-free menu, and cannot make everything gluten-free, their servers are knowledgeable and have always been able to let me know which items are safe for me (as a celiac) to order! For brunch, I have had the Steak and Egg Sandwich (with no bread). Amazing! For dinner, I recommend the Ceviche, Tuna Tartare, and Filet. All are amazing too! The only dessert I have tried (and would get again) is the Chocolate Tarte - it is also amazing! While the food is the star of the show, the is one of those restaurants that pays special attention to the decorations. There is definitely a bit of a taxidermy theme going on here, but it's tastefully done and offers a cool ambiance! You really cannot go wrong at Wren & Wolf... it's amazing!! We attended a party at W&W, and the atmosphere was simply incredible. As you stroll around, it feels like stepping into a Dungeons and Dragons episode, but with an elegant twist. The long table resembles a king's table, where you're eagerly waiting for a turkey leg to be thrown at you. The ambiance was mesmerizing, and it felt like being transported to a set from Game of Thrones. I can't wait to return and have dinner there soon. read more
We had a great experience at Wren & Wolf and I can't wait to try it again. First, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. Our server Erick was absolutely amazing, making sure we had a great experience, taking time to answer all of our questions, explaining details and offering advice. He made this experience five stars despite minor glitches. This just proves how much wait staff can impact customer experience. We were somewhat in a rush because we had to get to a show but our server completely took care of us. We started off with cocktails. Everyone loved their drinks. I had the drink "I love you but I love me more" and it was delicious. My husband enjoyed his smoky Mezcal (it was a little strong for me). The presentation was fantastic and well done. My husband and I split the wedge salad. They forgot the crispy pork / bacon but it was absolutely delicious. Literally the ranch-style blue cheese dressing was the freshest and most delicious dressing I have ever had a restaurant. So good and I absolutely MUST have this again. (The images below show the wedge cut in half). Our friends have had the zaatar manoushe in the past and raved about it (we skipped it this time). For dinner I wanted to try the beef Wellington for 2 but we decided to try another time when we weren't in a rush. It takes 45 mins to finish. Also if you want this make sure you preorder because they don't always have extras. I'm not a big steak lover but I ordered filet because there wasn't anything else on the menu I was dying for (and I had already had fish too many times this week). The portion (10 oz) was generous but I do have to say it was over cooked. It was well done though I ordered medium rare. That was kind of disappointing but it was fine. (I didn't say anything to our server because he was so nice and we had already told him about the missing pork on the salad and didn't want to start sounding too Karenish). The portion is huge and my husband ate half of my dinner. I didn't feel the need for extra sides as I couldn't even finish the sides or main in my plate. My husband ordered the lobster tagliatelle. He really liked it and it was gone in a flash. I had a taste and the lobster was perfectly cooked. Pasta was nice too. Our friends ordered the German puff ball things as a side and they were delicious. They liked their carpaccio and said the pork dish was good (but wouldn't order that one again). Wanted to stay for dessert but didn't have time. All in all an utterly fantastic experience with extra credit going to Erick. We will definitely be back (and I can't wait to try that beef Wellington)!! read more
My husband and I loved Wren & Wolf! We ate there before our reservation at the "Carry On" airplane bar. You have to check in at Wren & Wolf's host stand to receive your ticket anyway so it was the perfect place for dinner before our "flight!" We loved the vibe, it's upscale but relaxing. Has a very rustic charm, with animals and animal murals. It makes wolves seem very mystical in this unique, swanky way. We stuck with champagne since we planned on having a fun cocktail at the "Carry On" airplane bar after dinner, but there are a bunch of creative cocktails on the menu. I did a caviar bump with my champagne. It was creamy, salty, and perfect...if you love caviar. We ordered the Za'atar man'ouche (which is basically a traditional Lebanese flatbread that resembles a pizza) it comes with gruyere and manchego cheeses, artichoke, Kalamata olives, and some micro arugula. It was delicious. We love Za'atar seasoning and cook with it at home so it was a treat to find this on the menu. We also ordered the King crab stuffed & grilled oysters. They were delicious. They are served smoking on their own hibachi bbq grill, which is fun sitting on your table! My husband ordered the wild boar bolognese and loved it. The meat just fell apart after slow cooking for 12 hours. The hit was the spoonful of horseradish ricotta they place on top, YUM! Such an interesting combo that tied it all together. I ordered the herb-crusted Alaskan halibut, it was light, flaky, and I loved the flavor. The service was great, food came out quick. Our server knew we had a reservation at the "Carry On" bar so he made sure we stayed on time and even brought us our reservation ticket from the host stand so we didn't have to check in with them. The table next to us did order their famous 16oz Beef Wellington for 2, its very impressive. It's served table side so we got to watch. My husband can't wait to order that next time with someone who loves the savory, upscale comfort food. I'm definitely going to try the lobster tagliatelle. We made a 9pm reservation about a week in advance to celebrate our anniversary. We got there at 9 and still had about a 15 minute wait until we were seated. The vibe is intimate and romantic. It is definitely an upscale and chic hunting cabin vibe inside. It is very dim lit. Bring your reading glasses to read the menus. We were warmly greeted by our server who made helpful recommendations. We asked for a restaurant week menu. We did order from that menu and added on extras. The restaurant week menu was a great deal! We started off with a few appetizers. The shrimp cocktail was Devine, will definitely get it again. The W&W meatballs were terrific, you can taste the higher quality meats. We were disappointed we couldn't try the beef carpaccio. We were not fans of the Za'atar man'ouche, it had a thick layer of spices on top and was all cheese no bread. The flavor was good just not what we were wanting or expecting, so we asked to switch it to the regular bread and butter. That was an awesome pick. For entrees we got the oxtail and beef tenderloin. They were both so delicious, we regret not upgrading to the 10 oz beef tenderloin. It had the perfect crust and the sides were perfection. The oxtail was very flavorful! We added the king crab stuffed and grilled oysters after our meal. This was the best choice we made all night. It definitely completed the flavor profiles for the evening and was an awesome last minute add. The drinks were divine. They both were very refreshing and had some new flavors and twists. We definitely want to try multiple other ones in the future. Overall, the food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. We will 100% be back again. It was worth the extra splurge! read more

This review is from 6/19/26. When I walked in, the vibe was contemporary and laidback but the style of the restaurant was like elegant yet cozy! I was immediately greeted by the host (shade of red hair and facial piercings) and the manager standing at front. Later found out manager name was Kim. I sat at the bar, Zach was behind the counter. He was Cool, laidback, awesome to talk to, and genuine. I was recommended the fried chicken sandwich. I was leaning more towards the Smashburger just because I know bread can upset my stomach so I was thinking the fried chicken sandwich with the breading plus the bread would be a lot but I took his recommendation (as I often do when I try things on the menu)... And it was excellent. Top three best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had... he also recommended the truffle fries and it was superb. It was such a good meal! I also had a whiskey sour to start and yummmmm! Thank you for a great meal and experience! This was my second time coming here and they did not disappoint. read more

I had a spectacular dinner at W+W last night. Until last night I have only been for lunch so it was a treat to try dinner. I was torn between many yummy options but decided on the 12-hour braised oxtail pappardelle with horseradish ricotta and my friend ordered the lobster tagliatelle- her dish came out below warm temperature but they made it right immediately. The cocktails are always top notch here and our server {Eric} was wonderful. Highly recommend for an impressive dining experience! read more
Stopped by for Sunday brunch and really enjoyed the cool ambiance. Our server was attentive and helpful. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to expectations. I ordered the chicken and donuts--something I was especially excited to try--but the donuts were dry and the chicken lacked seasoning. The highlight of the dish was the syrup with bacon bits; I just wish there had been more of it. My husband ordered the burger and described it as just okay. read more
Beautiful space. People keep saying it's too dark, and it is a bit dim. But there is a reason for that, supposedly. It heightens your other senses, like taste for example. Allegedly. We had a 630 reservation for 2 and were seared immediately. Our waiter Victor was fantastic. He gave us time with the menu and gave us recommendations. Orders the raspberry beret cocktail and a zero alcohol Heineken. Cocktail was good. We then went for the single bone charred marrow. The preparation melted most of the marrow. It was a small bone and kind of meh. The rocket on the plate was spread with wild abandon. Kind of a kookie dish. Also had the za'taar bread and spread which was tasty. Next , the strawberry ricotta salad which was one of the best dishes of the night . We had the pesto spaghetti with chicken and the filet medium rare . The filet was overdone , and was not prime (and they are not pretending it is) . I'm Having bad luck with temperature and steaks, lately. I did eat it anyway, hating to waste food. I alerted Victor, and he did make an offer to remake it, which was sweet. It was ultimately taken off the bill, which was super nice. The pesto spaghetti was fine. We finished up with the butter cake. It was great , but a lot even for 2. It defeated us! Took more than half home. The service was the standout here. The food was just ok. It's been two years since I've been to the restaurant (have gone to The Trophy Room quite a bit since) so once I saw their menu for AZ Chef Week - was intrigued to try it again. Hamachi - the portion was a bit smaller than I thought, but still tasty! Also had a bite of my friend's crab cake and it was delicious Beef Wellington - another friend had said the restaurant was known for this dish and it did not disappoint. I did have to poke the meat out of the pastry to cut it and then try to curate the perfect bites with the pastry layer and mashed potato, but I think that's typical with this dish? I wish there was some other topping or slight dressing with the arugula, but it did pair nicely with the meat. Honey Fig Cheesecake - there was a slight mix up and our server hadn't realized this came with the Chef Menu so we ended up getting these to go. Not a problem since it was still delicious with the pistachio creme! Seriously should consider adding this to their permanent dessert menu. Appreciated the restaurant validated 3 hours of parking in the Two Renaissance Square Parking garage underground and you barely have to walk outside to get to the entrance. Definitely helpful when it comes to dining in Phoenix and plenty of time to enjoy your meal as well. Our server had mentioned they change their menu regularly, but it looked like 75% of it was still the same as two years ago when we uncovered our food photos back then, but still nice to enjoy a sampler with chef week. When there's a Wren, there's a friend, there's a way -- and wow, did Wren & Wolf deliver! I kicked things off with their "When There is a Wren" cocktail, a spin on an Old Fashioned, and let me just say: delicious doesn't even begin to cover it. I always start with a good Old Fashioned when I'm having steak, and this one set the tone perfectly. For my entrée, I went with the 10 oz filet tenderloin, Oscar style -- and damn, did it slap! The steak was perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the Oscar topping took it to an entirely different level. I paired it with a Cabernet Sauvignon Opolo from Paso Robles, and the combo was absolutely spot on. The atmosphere was buzzing, lively without being overwhelming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, and exactly what you want for a great dining experience. For dessert, I ordered the butter cake with an espresso. The espresso came out about 10 minutes before the cake, which felt a little off -- usually they pair together. As for the butter cake itself, I know it's one of the highest-rated items on Yelp here, but I honestly don't get the hype. It wasn't bad, but I've had better elsewhere for half the price. That said, the steak was so phenomenal that this experience still earns a solid 5 out of 5 stars. Wren & Wolf just earned a permanent spot on my list of Phoenix favorites. read more

The beef Wellington experience is absolutely incredible. The chef is an artist in creating the most amazing taste, beautiful food, and incredible presentation as he came table side to describe and personally serve his creation. Medium rare was cooked to perfection. read more

I went here for a work dinner and it was fabulous! We had the bone marrow, beef carpaccio and bread as starters. I had the lobster tagliatelle for my main and everything we had tasted delicious. The ambiance is a little dark. The wait staff was amazing and very on top of things! I would go back either for date night, out with friends or another work dinner. read more

From the moment I saw "Beef Wellington" I had to have it. I explained to myself "It's a treat. You're worth it." Thinking it was an extravagant purchase when I saw the price. The waitress took my order without batting an eyelash and was incredibly nice. As three men rolled the tray of food over to me, I looked it over with comprehension slowly forming, glanced at the chefs and exclaimed, "This is for a table of people, not an individual, is it?" He smirked and nodded, then proceeded to describe and plate the food. I dug in with a fork and knife, but they could have given me a spoon and it would've worked just as well. The steak inside was perfectly pink and tender. The mix of flaky pastry, tender meat, savory Demi glaze and fluffy potatoes brought me to heights of taste I had never achieved. I attempted to text a few people to share in my delight as this food would never taste the same "reheated", but unfortunately they weren't available. I had the staff box it up and brought it home. Somewhat dismayed, the next day I pulled out the leftovers and put them in a toaster oven for 20 minutes on 400. I pulled them out, poured on the demi glaze and realized the meat was still tender and the pastry flaky. Success! Thank you to the amazing staff and chefs who made this meal memorable twice over. After a comedy show at Stand Up Live, my boyfriend and I (plus another couple) walked just a few minutes over to Wren & Wolf--and wow, what a vibe! It's definitely on the fancier side, but the space is absolutely beautiful inside. We lucked out and grabbed the last four open seats at the bar. Each of us ordered a different cocktail and swapped sips, and I can confirm they were all so good. I had the East of Eden (gin-based and delicious!), while the others ordered: Shishito Out of Luck - spicy but delicious, The Me Espresso - their take on an espresso martini, and Wren There's a Will, There's a Way - an old fashioned. They also have their Trophy Room, a separate space that's super popular, but the wait was too long when we went. The bartender told us all about it (and even checked for us). We also learned they owned Carry On, another concept nearby that's airplane-themed, so you need a "plane ticket" to get in. Might have to check it out sometime soon! Our bartender was incredible--friendly, knowledgeable, and really made the experience that much better. All in all, this was the perfect spot for post-show drinks. Didn't try their food, but have heard good things! Definitely a place I'd tell others to try. read more

Enjoyed my birthday dinner here, I loved every bite. I had the lobster pasta and couldn't get enough. Our server was attentive, friendly and made sure we always had what we needed Hubs had the steak and told me it was really good. Id definitely go back. I picked this place because I wanted to try the speakeasy but I was too wasted to drink so I sat while Hubs drank. Good times! read more

Booked Carry On and when reading directions, saw you were to come to Wren and Wolf to pick up your boarding pass. Looked into this place and decided it would be a great place for Saturday dinner as I had no plans. I can see why this place is rated a top restaurant in Phoenix. Easy booking on the app (highly recommend reservations). Was warmly greeted and seated at the bar. No wait for water and and introduction from Jordan my bartender and host. I had reservations for the Trophy Room at 7 and Jordan was able to time out my meal so there was no rush and no waiting around before I had to go. I truly appreciate that. Some places like to rush you in and out and get the next seat filled but not Wren and Wolf. Dinner was outstanding. From the warm loaf and pimento cheese, to the beef carpaccio's. These are fantastic starters. Entree was wild boar and it didn't disappoint. There is a slight kick to it for you non spicy food eaters but not overwhelming. Food served fast and hot. Drink menu has some fabulous concoctions and you get a nice pour. The mood is dark with green wallpapers and wolf decor but the streaming lights give it such a great ambiance. Several booths available for groups who may want to just linger with a drink. Plenty of bar seating for solo diners. Everyone was wonderful and this was a great find in downtown. read more
Beautiful place! Stopped in for lunch. Ordered the turkey bacon sandwich with simple salad side. Salad was great. The romaine on the sandwich, shaved turkey, bacon and bread were great! I would have chosen an alternative to the pesto to bring out more flavor. The cheese also didn't add much. For the price point I found it to be very average for a turkey sandwich and wouldn't order it again. Service by Daniel and atmosphere are five stars though. read more

Went here to celebrate our 37th anniversary. The atmosphere is what you would hope it to be for such an event. Justin, our server was new to the scene, but was very accommodating. We started off with the Charred Bone Marrow for the appetizer, pictured here. Excellent!! The Strawberry & Whipped Ricotta & Wedge Salads were great starters. As entrees my wife chose the Oxtail Pappardelle and I had the Duck a l'Orange which was sublime. We were honored with Champagne and Desert to end the occasion. We didn't leave stuffed, but satisfied. Entree dishes are smaller but not insulting. The appetizers and desserts far make up for sizes. So if you are Looking for an anniversary celebration that stands up to the occasion, come on downtown to Wren & Wolf. read more

My bf and I came here for our 3 year anniversary dinner, made a reservation and was promptly seated. The decor and ambiance is very lively and the restaurant is dimly lit during dinner hours. The service was good, server is very talkative but did not formally introduce any of our dishes, more just talking about our day and telling us about his day lol. The food was amazing! the cocktail was very yummy but they definitely did not skimp on the alcohol content, oysters is always our favorite so we also enjoyed those very much. The Pasta was very interesting (in a good way) and was definitely the most unique dish. Wagyu was tender and met our expectations, and the brussel sprouts were delicious and the perfect add-on side! Overall our bill came out to be ~250+, i will say the price point is very elevated for the amount of food, however the quality of the dishes and the ambiance makes up for the cost. This place has a wonderful ambiance and looks beautiful inside. It's a great date night spot downtown. I've been in a few times and it's always been pretty good food and the service is always excellent. They also have a couple of other bars on the property that you should try to get a reservation to: Trophy Room and Carry On. I've had the meatballs a few times and they've always been delicious and I love the polenta that comes with them. This last time we stopped by just for some drinks and light snacks and we were able to get a couple seats at the bar after waiting for just a few minutes. I also enjoyed the old fashioned and we decided to get some dessert, so we went with the Meyer lemon cake, which was amazing. read more

The restaurant validates parking for the Two Renaissance parking garage. Otherwise, you'd have to pay to park there.

Yes. There is public wifi, options table service or grab and go and ample seating for work. There are pastries that go along with the coffee and the lunch menu begins at 11am.
