Food was delicious! Went here for a birthday dinner. The tomahawk steak and the gnocchi were incredible. Service was quick and prompt with all staff very attentive. The views from this place were beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!

My son and I arrived from NY the day we went to the restaurant. Upon driving up the hill, it's such a beautiful view. At the time we arrived, there was a sunset that was breathtaking. Besides the ambiance being such a takeaway, the restaurant staff were above and beyond. The food was incredible. My son and I loved it! If we return to Arizona, we will definitely return here.

Amazing views, great food, and impeccable service. Our server (Nick?) really could not have been better. My daughter's steak (ordered medium) was pretty close to well done, and he didn't even ask if she wanted another one, he just took care of it immediately and said he'd have another steak out for her right away. The fried rice egg appetizer was fantastic. The Caesar salad was just okay -- way too much dressing. I got the mussels with smoked salmon as my entree, and it was fine. I'd give the food quality a 4/5, but the ambiance & service definitely make it a 5 overall.

Came in for anniversary dinner with my husband. Started off with a glass of wine downstairs before dinner. Stunning views from no matter where you are. Simple menu selection. We started with the 63 degree egg. Was very different but tasty. Fun starter! The bread & trio spread was very yummy, goat cheese one was my favorite! I ordered the chicken & my husband had the NY strip. We were both impressed. It was very yummy and big portions. the jalapeño cornbread that came with my chicken was a perfect pairing, light airy and tasty. The strawberry rhubarb whiskey sour deserves an honorable mention, very flavorful and refreshing. Our server brought out a little anniversary dessert for us at the end! I'd give 4.5/5... We got seated 15/20 min past our reservation time, that was really the inconvenience..

The ambiance is great and the views are stunning. However, the noise level did increase through the night as the restaurant filled up. The service was great and our servers were proactive. The restaurant was a little stuffy and our waiter brought us cold cloth napkins to cool off. A server accidentally dropped a starter dish of shrimp on my fiancée which resulted in both of us visiting the restrooms to freshen up while the staff cleaned the mess at our table. Despite the inconvenience, they did not comp us our shrimp, they simply replaced the shrimp dish and gave us a complementary gnocchi starter (which we did not order or necessarily want). The replacement shrimp dish was rushed out quickly and seemed to be undercooked as it was room temperature and very chewy. The drinks were good and the dinner was decent. Overall the dining experience was okay but for the price-point, I would not return again.

Had some issues at the front desk, our reservation I made on open table didn't pop up. Which is weird because I paid $30. Not sure how that happened or works! Never had to pay for reservations.. that I know of. Anywho, Richard was our server. We asked to be seated with a view and it was beautiful, right at a window! Richard was friendly! He also offered to take our photos outside. He made the experience good. Food was yummy! I ordered the chefs special and he order the NY strip! Both cooked to perfection. We loved the Tiger Shrimp app - tasted fresh which is rare when you order seafood in the desert. Looked at the dessert menu but we were too full. Lots of great photo ops on each floor. We would come back!

Impeccable! From the view, to the food, to the service, Different Pointe of view is the best of the best. This is a Phoenix institution and if you have not been, you must go. If you're looking to take someone to a place to impress them, this is the way to do it. I was there for a work dinner and we opted to order a variety of items and go family style. I'm so glad we did because we got to try a large portion of the menu and everything was absolutely delicious! See photos for the menu and food. When you go, time it so you can have a sunset drink on the patio before dinner. You will not regret it!

Different Pointe of View (DPOV) is hands down the BEST view in all of Phoenix or Scottsdale!! Other restaurants come close, but none can top this mountain top view and the sunsets! Just driving up to the restaurant parking lot makes you realize how high up you are. Make a reservation to arrive before sunset so you get to enjoy the view in the daylight, then sunset, and then night sky. DPOV has a romantic ambiance. It's great for special occasions. They bring you complimentary bread with a side of three spreads. I love their lobster bisque and their crab cake. I've ordered their scallops more than once, they are delicious and cooked perfect! I've also had their pan seared Chilean Seabass, yum! The View is the Star of the show but the food is for sure the supporting actor that also wins a role!! Add DPOV to your list!

Where do I start. This place is connected to the Hilton. Which is nice so that you get someone to drive you in the golf cart up to the door. One thing to remember is that you need to get reservations in advance. The hostess was helpful as she was able to get us a table with a great view. The table staff was funny and they were accommodating and they even took our picture outside with phoenix lights in the background. They provided 3 types bread and three types of dipping/butter. They all were delicious. I had the Brussels leaf salad. It's like a wedge salad but with Brussels sprouts leaves but tasted better. My steak was done perfectly and I enjoyed the lobster mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. My wife sea bass was done perfectly and she liked it a lot. Overall the food, staff and atmosphere was spot on that night.

Ian, our Server was very polite, thorough and accommodating. Ian has been with Different Point of View for 20+ years, I witnessed him present a wine from a well known Winery from CA, he was "Spot On" in his presentation and sold the table a bottle of a great wine. He made our dining experience "Enjoyable"! His support staff were excellent, very attentive and polite. Drinks were phenomenal, Featured Cocktail was well balanced-tasty, Signature Old Fashion-Perfect-so smooth and refreshing. We had a 4 Course Pre-fix Menu for Thanksgiving. We had Squash Soup-Marvelous, Cauliflower Soup-Marvelous As Well-my wife's favorite! Harvest Salad was Super, Butternut Salad just okay Turkey Meal-was good Sea Bass-okay-cold when it arrived-we should have sent back but we didn't our bad! Sides: Mashed Potatoes needed more gravy, or more butter which Ian's Support Staff accommodated. Macaroni-okay Dressing-Very Interesting We love this restaurant, views are stupendous We will return

Ask the Community - Different Pointe of View

Do you have to make a reservation?

Yes! And I recommend making it early. I wasn't able to get one when I was looking three days out.

What's the noise level inside versus outside? Can you easily hold a conversation with a large group of people?

The noise level was moderate but we were definitely able to easily hold conversations with our feeling like you're shouting!

Are we able to reserve where we are seated when making our reservations?

Yes I believe so at least like in a general area near a window so you get the evening view !

Are you allowed to wear base ball hats?

They have a dress code since it's considered a fine dining venue. So I would say no and that would apply to other spirts apparel like football jerseys. Why don't you call them or just go to a spirts bar.

Does anyone know about the prices for their food items? Or approximately how much does one spend for two people?

My friends and I went for my birthday and me and my husband got the risotto, chicken, 2 beverages (1alcoholic bev.), a cheesecake dessert and 1 lobster bisque appetizer and the total was $150 and that included gratuity. Entrees can waiver between…

Can we be seated outside for dinner (not just bar)? We are looking for a place to entertain a business associate and their requirement is that we eat outside.

There was a wedding when I went so I'm sure they can accommodate!

Do they have a bar where you can get a drink if not interested in dinner?

Yes, they have a bar one level below the main dining area. The view is basically the same. We just walked in to look around a bit, so I cannot attest as to the service or if they serve appetizers there or not. But, really nice bar area one level…

    Is there a happy hour?

I am pretty sure there are no happy hour specials at the Different Pointe of View. We could only get reservations for right after the opened (I think ours were at 5:30pm and they opened at 5pm). No one said anything re: Happy Hour specials or what…

Where's the best place to sit in the restaurant for the best view?

Definitely outside on the patio. They are all good out there.

How far in advance should I make a reservation for a Saturday evening slot?

Special holidays require advanced reservations, but usually the rest of the time there are eating available. Lot depends on hotel vacancy and events.

    What is the dress code?

Casual dress but there were out of town people dress in tees and shorts no so dressy

Does the restaurant have a bar so we can go for a drink and small bite rather than a full meal? And if so, does it have a happy hour?

They do have a large bar that opens to the deck area with panoramic views! I'm not sure about Happy Hour.

Does anyone know if there are vegetarian options at this place ? Please let me know.

The menu is ever changing so I would recommend just checking the menu online before you go or calling.

On OpenTable - it says the Terrace Lounge opens at 5pm and Different Pointe of View opens 6pm. Yet on the Hilton site - it shows both open 6pm. Does the lounge open before the restaurant?

It currently opens at 6pm. Hope this helps. You'll love it there

Hi I have a question how much is the average bill for two people? I'm a college student and wanna take a girl out. How much should I be prepared to pay

Depends on if you do a full course or not. Depending on your entree choices you could be around $100 for two alone, or around $100 with 2 entrees and an appetizer (before tax + tip).

Is there dancing? My significant other is coming in a week and i would love to take him somewhere classy and somewhere we can dance?

There was no dancing the night I went, and I didn't see a place for dancing (unless it would be part of a private event like a wedding).

What would you recommend as the best locations to request for seating (both indoor and outdoor)? Are there window tables indoors that have some view blocked by outside tables?

Ask for a seat by the window looking out on the city if you're sitting indoors. Otherwise, if you're going to sit outdoors, ask for a view of the city.

I plan to come on weekdays, do I need to make reservation?

Here, it is always a good idea to make a reservation. Is it required? No. Is it a good idea? Oh, yeah.

    Are they open on sundays?

    Yes, from 5pm to 8pm.

But, if you're looking for a really cool bar, KWSC is for you. I stopped by on a week day evening around 8:30 p.m. Located in Roosevelt Row, while there isn't parking, I found free parking on the street a few minutes away on foot. Ambiance (4.5/5): My type of spot. Dimly lit with a speakeasy vibe. There are eight or so seats at the bar, and the rest of your seating options consist of comfortable chairs and sofas. You'll see a lot of photos of people's bums on the walls lol. This is indeed part of the appeal. For free, if you would like, they will take a polaroid of your butt and memorialize you eternally on the walls. While I didn't do that, if that's up your alley, go for it. Service (2/5): This is the main area of improvement. After being seated, I was greeted promptly and got my first cocktail promptly. From there, things fell apart. I had to grab the bartender's attention to order my second drink and to close out. It was a week day and they weren't busy. And there were two bartenders. A lack of attentiveness. When I closed out, I noticed that the cocktails were both $2 more expensive than what was listed on the menu. When I inquired, I was told that the menus were outdated... umm what? If you're not going to re-print your menus, give people a heads-up when they arrive. I understand that most people won't notice, but this is deception. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet. If you're trying to eat here, all they have is snacks. The menu doesn't specify but I'm thinking it's probably chips or somethign like that. Drinks (4/5): A lengthy, and interesting, cocktail list. Similar to a speakeasy, you're going to see creativity and an interesting blend of flavors here. The most popular drink is Fuck Nazis. We're seeing a theme here. KWSC is an interesting spot. For various dollar amounts, you can get funny things outside of the polaroids of your bum. My first cocktail was great. My second one, a tiki drink, not so much. The menu said that there would be some flame action happening. It didn't. Just another example of the service falling short. If the service were better, Killer Whale Sex Club would easily be a five-star experience.

Back then, the cocktails felt intentional and creative, not just rushed out for volume. The staff remembered regulars, conversations flowed naturally, and the whole place had this warm, eclectic energy that made you want to stay for hours. Even on busy nights, it somehow still felt personal. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the vibe has changed quite a bit. The drinks just aren't as consistently good as they used to be, especially considering the prices now. Service feels far more transactional and impersonal, and the atmosphere that once made this place stand out has faded into something much more generic. It feels less like a neighborhood gem and more like a stop on a nightlife circuit.

She was nice but seemed high. I ended up only having 2 drinks. We would have ordered more but they have 90min max seating and we didn't event get drinks for the first 30min. No exaggeration. Also one of my drinks I had to send back. My apple martini tasted like soap. It was like they did clean the glass after giving a soap bath. No bueno. So they need to get their service to match the vibe of a true cocktails lounge. Yes it is a 70s vibe but doesn't mean the lackadaisical style service. I would come back and try again. The Phoenix Lounge is a pleasant exception. It was early on a Saturday so we didn't have a long wait. (Which has also become quite unusual). We arrived at the end of breakfast and were there for lunch. We did nibble a little fruit but really, we were waiting for lunch. And what a great idea that was. The buffet was jammed with a variety of choices, something for everyone. (I've had some pretty lousy food lately - yes, that's you, CLT). Everything I tried was great. The brisket was a standout. The lemon cake was quite worthy of its calories. There was only one bartender so the bar line was a little long but the pours were generous and the specialty drink, the layover, was worth the wait. The only issue wasn't the lounge's fault though they could do something about it. Children. Screaming. Running amok. Screaming. It's 100% the parent's fault but a quiet reminder (or, better yet, a threat) from the manager may have calmed things down a bit. Perhaps a family room could be added. The PHX Centurion Lounge is a step above many of the other clubs. It's definitely worth a visit.

They had mashed potatoes, fish and chips brisket, hummus, Mac and cheese and some really good tasting fried cauliflower dipped in some asian sweet sauce. Their food when they have the right selection is always good. Their bar is always the best for free drinks and cocktails. On the downside they need some maintenance on the place and they need to stop overselling capacity. Bathroom only had one functional sink and they lack automated soap dispensers. Recommendations: Raise the minimum fee to over 100k a year on spend and charge 50 dollars per additional person. It will also help clean up some freeloaders who only have this card for frequent traveler perks and help subsidize the costs. Also get some showers in this location so those who have flights delayed for more than 3 hours can shower and avoid smelling like they havent showered in days.

Wow. All I can is what a restaurant! Came here on a Wednesday night 3 weeks before Christmas and…read moreit was a vibe. Secluded upstairs dining area with heaters available. Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!

Upstairs at Flint is just as AMAZING as inside the restaurant! The food is STILL on 1000% DELISC!…read morethe Service is PERFECT as always! and the ambiance is STELLAR! A beautiful view of the Camelback Mountains. We had a reservation but decided on sitting upstairs, instead. I love that the hostess' are very nice about giving you the options. I have been going to this restaurant since 2018 for business lunches, nice dinners, a company Christmas party-Upstairs. iI is my go to and I highly recommend Flint to others.
