My family and I were visiting Elko for the weekend and decided to come to wingers for dinner around 7:30PM on a Saturday. It took us over an hour to be sat while the hostess and the servers were too busy talking instead of cleaning the multiple dirty tables in the restaurant. Once we were sat we were handed menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We then were completely forgotten about and didn't get our drinks for another 30 minutes and didn't get to order our food for over 40 minutes. There was multiple family's seated after us and they ate their food and left before we have even ordered! To top off the visit the food was half hot and half cold and we told the waitress the fish and chips was over cooked and she just said "ya people say that sometimes". Total time in the restaurant was over 2 hours. No idea why we didn't just leave. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

The management at this location, to put it lightly, are, (in my personal opinion) the worst management I've seen in any restaurant I've ever been to. They gave bad service, as well as being slow overall. My advice to anyone wanting to go to this Winger's location is take your business elsewhere. Anywhere besides Elko Wingers. Very good creamy carbonara. Took an entire hour to have my meal while seated at the bar, watching the two female bartenders talk about their day, criticize other fellow employees, and completely ignore me. They were standing 10 feet away at a 1/2 full restaurant, and it took 10 minutes for either of them to ask if I wanted a drink. At a bar. Eventually got my dinner after waiting 1/2 an hour and it was quite good, but being ignored by snotty waitresses tends to ruin the experience. We had a hard time Finding somewhere to eat in Elko anyway (we went to two restaurants before ending up here.. we left the other restaurants because of Not being served/waited on for 30 minutes) The service staff at Wingers was friendly but service Itself was slow and many of the staff members seemed overwhelmed. When we got our food finally, the chicken was undercooked and the pork nachos we got were served cold. We waited for our food for about 30'minutes. The restaurant seemed busy but there were several empty tables. I had to ask another waitress to see if she could heat up my nachos to warm them up a little and they just poured more semi warm queso cheese sauce on top. Both times the service was awful and they would mess up AT LEAST one part of our meal. We ordered different things each time we came in. It took the waitress 15 minutes to seat us (there was 3 other tables there besides us). Once we were seated, it took another 20 minutes to take our order. We ordered: Sticky finger rice bowl: This rice bowl was the best part of our meal. The flavor was awesome. They skimped on the chicken and everything was cold....but it had awesome flavor. Sticky finger dinner with garlic fries: Ice cold! Everything! The garlic fries were awful. They tasted as though they had been cooked 6 or 7 times. The sticky fingers were greasy and cold. We sent it back and 20 min later they returned with a meal that was worse! They somehow gave us half wings and half sticky fingers?....and they forgot our fries? Wtf. So round 3....they finally got our meal right. Although at this point, we were full. It had been an hour and a half at this point. We asked for the check. Get this, the waitress charged us full price for everything! She also charged us for the first meal they had messed up! Wtf! I was in Elko for a business trip with two co-workers. A local co-worker recommended Winger's for dinner. After a four hour drive from Reno, wings and beer seemed like the perfect end for a long day. The waitress explained that Winger's is a chain based out of Salt Lake and they brew their own beer. The three of us ordered the Blonde brew. One of my co-workers is allergic to hops, and asked if the beer was hoppy. The waitress had no idea, and did not offer to ask. Hmmm.... Well, we received our beers and they were great, and not hoppy! We all wanted wings, and rather than each ordering our own, it made more sense financially to split a large order. The waitress explained that we could choose two types of sauce and she would bring additional sauce on the side. Excellent! So we ordered the garlic parmesan for our non-spice-loving friend and the classic buffalo for a little spice. We asked for the rebel sauce and the atomic buffalo on the side. You also get an option between breaded and non-breaded. We ordered non-breaded. Our non-spicy friend loved the garlic parmesan, my spicy friend and I both had to dip them in spicy sauce. Too boring for us. The atomic buffalo was hot, but did not have a great flavor. The sauce that the waitress told us was the rebel sauce was not spicy at all, and it should have been the second-spiciest on the menu. Instead, it was sort of sweet and had the consistency of honey. I would wager that it was actually the island teriyaki sauce, and brought to us by accident. It had a great flavor, but it wasn't spicy, so I mixed it with the classic buffalo and the mixture was my favorite! So all in all, I enjoyed the meal, however, it seems like our waitress wasn't very well trained. She was very friendly, but couldn't answer questions about their own beers, and didn't know what sauces she was bringing us! So there you go. Good, not amazing. Okay, to be very honest, this place is mediocre. It's a good place to grab a beer as they have some craft brews on tap (I think the server told me they come from a brewery in Utah), but the food is very average. We shared a 2lb order of wings and they were just alright - not very well done, still somewhat fatty, and the buffalo sauce was just okay. One thing I would recommend avoiding - the garlic parmesan sauce - ick.. tasted like a bad italian dressing to me. Poor customer service and rude manager (Rechel). We liked this restaurant and stopped there last year for our Yellowstone trip. So this summer, we came here again for dinner. We ordered 18 pcs of chicken wings, half spicy and half non-spicy. When it was served, all got mixed and kids couldn't eat it. The waitress was nice and offered to ask the kitchen for a replacement or make them separate. However, the manager Rechel came to our table and told us they couldn't do it. We asked politely that we could get the original plate back that we ordered. No reply from Rechel. 10 minutes later, we had to ask her about it. But she was very rude and told us those chicken wings were thrown away due to covid policy. And she can give us 50% discount on that order, which was fair. But her attitude was pretty rude (She actually said: I am the manager, No. I can't do that, and I don't have obligation to tell you our policy). So at least, she could tell us politely before throwing our order away and say sorry. Nope, nothing apology or understanding from this manager Rechel. We felt sorry for the waitress who was very friendly and came to our table several times to apologize. But the overall experience was really ruined by this manager. read more

Original - absolutely delicious. by far the best sauce on offer. almost like a combination of barbecue and teriyaki sauce. Absolutely loved it and would get again in a heartbeat. Parmesan Garlic - super garlic not so much parmesan. I wouldn't recommend it because it is so heavy on the garlic. You could see little chunks of garlic in every bite, just too much. Classic Buffalo - good, but holy hell it's spicy. I can't imagine what the extreme buffalo is like. I can handle extremely spicy food no problem, but dear lord, the classic buffalo had my mouth burning. If you like spicy buffalo sauce, get the classic buffalo. Only get the extreme buffalo sauce if you want extreme pain. Overall, I'd probably go back actually, it was the original bbq sauce that really makes the difference. read more

Elko was my lunch time pit stop in Nevada. A mix of casinos and a lot of restaurants, the Yelp app could only tell me so much, so I pulled in to the gas station and asked the girl behind the counter for lunch advice. I shouldn't have taken it. I didn't know Winger's was a regional chain. Except for Miller's Ale House in the south, I generally avoid places like this. And for good reason. I was seated, and my server dropped a bowl of popcorn at my table before heading elsewhere. Thought it was a nice feature, and he asked for my drink order. As they had they own beers, I thought I'd give the Pale Ale a shot. He brought it back in a mug. I didn't know they came in multiple sizes until looking through the menu, but as I was driving, I really didn't need a mug, and most of it was wasted. Yelp wasn't really a help on the menu. I probably should have stuck with the chicken, but the server pressured me into getting the lunch special burger, double sauced or something like that. He did not ask me for a temperature. The burger was meh, and the double sauce just became a blend of flavors. And definitely overpriced. If stopping in Elko, I highly recommend skipping this and heading elsewhere. read more

I've been going to wingers for years now. Things really went downhill a couple years back so me and my husband have pretty much avoided the place. We decided to give it another try with new management and all. I ordered the sticky finger casadia quesadilla and 2 of the slices had nothing but cheese in it. The price point is a little high but I assume I'm paying for the chicken aspect, only there wasn't any. When I told my waitress she rolled her eyes and brought me out a side plate with one tiny piece of uncut chicken on it. My husband ordered a burger which also was lacking at it's price point. Bland and soggy. Needless to say our waitress never came back for refills and eventually just dropped the ticket off without a word. When the manager came around to pre-bus (assuming because our waitress was MIA) she dropped the entire plate in my lap and ranch and everything else went all over me. It was everywhere. She said "oops" and ran off to get me a towel which only took her 10 minutes. At that point I'd already made my way to the bathroom to clean up. She never even apologized. Point of this review is the food was bad, the service even worse. Ridiculously over priced for what they are serving. Obviously the place is still worth avoiding. We're driving cross country during the COVID pandemic and arrived at our hotel at 8 pm after 500+ miles. Checked in and found Wingers open nearby for takeout. We placed an order for an appetizer, two sandwiches and a dessert and were able to use coupons from the hotel. We then walked down when the orders were ready and the staff brought them out to us. There was an error with the orders we took and the staff called us. We received the message once we were back at the hotel and the staff brought the correct item up to the hotel. They apologized for having the wrong hotel but that was nothing. They were right next to each other and we were just grateful that they were open. The food was great too, thanks. read more

When I saw Wingers only had 3 stars, I was a little hesitant. But after being in the car for 8+ hours, we were ready to chow down. It didn't matter where. Let me just say, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food amazing, the service was absolutely spectacular. Jamie, our server, was on top of everything, even making sure my fiancé's water glass never went empty (and he might be part camel). We shared Cajun onion straws, wings and a the Drunken Pig Burger.
