Great people and karaoke. Don't get the Moscow mule though. They use squirt instead of ginger beer.

Not great. I'd rather go to Rubies or Underground Speakeasy. Those are fun places and not nearly as crowded as Charlees. It's so claustrophobic in Charlee's Bar. I'll probably never go back there . Never tried the food so I don't have an opinion but I know they have a food truck (The Tasty Truck) on the weekends so that might be a plus for some people. read more

I'm updating this review because we got to go back! I was super excited about this return visit because this bar holds a special place in my heart as it was the site of my husbands third marriage proposal while he was tipsy after I turned down two previous ones months before lol. Whoot whoot! I usually don't update reviews unless my experience is drastically different. It wasn't, but some things changed. It's still my favorite bar in Elko! They ripped out the slot machines and put another bar in its place which is kind of a waste of space but nonetheless it's still a great bar. The night we went they had an excellent live band outside, the garage door was up and the neon lights were going with all the splendor in the world. Had a great time and will go back again! I'm keeping the four star rating though because of the new set up which I don't love as much as the old one. But it's actually not as far from downtown as I said in previous review. Give it a go! Okay I go in an order a 7 and 7 and it's all soda I put $20 in the machine and still have to pay for my $6.50 soda. Lol I take 1 drink and say this is awful. Can I have a beer! She charged me for the flipping beer also! Wtf. Finish gambling with 0.12 credit. The bartender hands me $17.00 and I say " no" I am honest it was supposed to 0.12. She say oh the computer is wrong then never gives me the $0.12. Not that I care but WTF! Really! Now I have to drink my $9.00 flipping beer! read more
