Amazing service and the food is delicious. I ordered the crab cakes and the bolognese. Both were amazing and a must try if you are in Elko.

May 2026 Elko, N Hmmmmm . . . 3.0 stars. Here is why. Arrived a little after 5 pm on a Friday. Two tables were already sitting. The hostess sat us in a separate room from the main dining room. It was hit brightly by the sun and felt like a second thought of leftover dining. Asked if we could sit in main dining room and she obliged. We asked about the menu and took time to review it. After some time we ordered. My husband had the chicken Alfredo and I ordered the PASTA MILANO which is described as: Chicken, Tomatoes, Mushrooms in a Roasted Garlic Cream Sauce over Penne Pasta. Sounds good right? It could have been good. But it was not. First of all, I never got chicken in the dish. The mushrooms were diced and very few in the dish. The only thing they got right was the tomatoes. I called the waitress over and told her that my dish had no chicken in it. She said well do you want some? I smiled and said well that's what the dish was supposed to come with. So I waited. Then I decided to go ahead and start eating my food because seven minutes went by and I still have no chicken. When the dish was originally served,, I asked the waitress for Parmesan cheese. She said we don't have Parmesan cheese, but we have black pepper. Huh???? of course you have Parmesan cheese. I have it on my Caesar salad. I really don't think she knew what Parmesan cheese was. I just shrugged my shoulders and took a bite of my food. Again, great concept. But the food had NO flavor. I added salt and pepper. Still nothing. I took the balsamic vinegar that was on the table and added it to the dish. There, I finally had flavor in my meal. But still no chicken. Finally, another waitress brings out a plate of squiggly worm like meat. She said, did somebody order chicken at this table? I was disgusted. First of all, it was not pleasant to see it look like that. Also, you should've offered to remake my meal, or at least take it back and mix it with the chicken. But to make me wait until my dishes is half gone and then bring over a plate of chicken is a poor decision. The chicken fettuccine had a good flavor. But the chicken was tough. Hard to chew. Not good flavor. I ordered a n/a Heineken. She brought it in a glass to the table. It was already poured so I don't know if I truly got what I ordered. Also the glass was too large for the amount of beer that was in it. Makes it look like it was half a drink. The waitress was kind, but we did not see much of her. She never offered to refill our bread basket. According to the menu, you get two baskets of bread and then if you want more you have to pay. We only got one basket of bread and never offered anymore. I was looking forward to some good pasta, and this restaurant did not deliver. Very disappointed in the service, and most definitely the food. The waitress took five dollars off of our meal, but she never explained why she did it or why she decided to take that amount of money. She never apologized for my dish, not having any protein, she never apologized for any thing. Management needs to teach staff that they can take ownership of the situation. It is OK to say you are sorry that the chicken was not put in your dish. Let's see what we can do to make it right. That would have gone so far. Instead, it left my attitude about this place as tough as the chicken in the fettuccine was. read more

Food is always great and the customer service is top notched! Seafood risotto is my absolute favorite!

We visited Luciano's today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The service was poor from the moment we arrived. The server was rude and unwelcoming. We ordered pasta, but it was of very poor quality--it had an unpleasant smell and was not enjoyable to eat. We ended up leaving most of our food untouched. What was even more disappointing was that no one asked why we had barely eaten our meal or whether there was anything they could do to make it right. At the end of the meal, the server simply tossed our credit card onto the table, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. Good service earns good tips, but with the combination of poor food quality and discourteous service, this was one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We hope the management takes customer feedback seriously and works on improving both the food quality and customer service. read more

Solid Italian restaurant ranging from the basics to specialties. Good collection of appetizers, pastas, and entrees. 3 separate rooms and bar area in front. Large portions. Only small miss is we ordered an avocado caprese appetizer and didn't receive it. We got a salad instead and figured "guess it comes with the meal". When dinner came, we realized it got missed. The young lady that was my server was awesome very friendly and knew the menu very well along with the wine menu. The house red wine is good at a great price point by the way. The food was cook right but It was not a lot favor , but I was okay with that because I have high blood pressure. so, the season and favor was okay with me. I have no complaints. I typically go for lunch and the service has always been quick and the food has been good.

Food- all the food that was ordered had no flavor. The food that was supposed to be served hot was cold and the cold food was warm. Service- the waitress was so put out about having to serve anyone in the dining area. We had to ask for refills on our drinks. She popped us on the shoulder multiple times. She was rudely dropping plates on the tables around us and our table as well. She made comments about the kitchen not being able to keep up. Ambiance- the patrons in the restaurant made it feel nice but the rude waitress made it not good. read more

Great little spot within walking distance from our hotel. My wife had the grilled chicken Alfredo and I had the Luciano burger. Both dishes were tasty, burger was delicious made with fresh local wagyu beef, Alfredo was yummy both items very reasonably priced. I tried to order a Caesar salad but the waitress let us know that all dishes come with a small Caesar salad which was a nice surprise. Salad was tasty , nice French bread served at the table also . January 5th, Birthday dinner :) Wow , I ordered the Rib Eye, medium rare. The steak was cooked to perfection and was seasoned really nicely with sautéed onions and mushrooms . I was served a dinner salad, broccoli raab and the most amazing pancetta macaroni and cheese, YUM! The steak was the largest piece of meat EVER! I could only eat half. All for 42$ My husband had the seared tuna on a bed of pasta with lobster sauce. His meal was also cooked correctly and seasoned and flavored. Our server was attentive and answered questions regarding the food and beverages, we had a bottle of Chianti most excellent. The atmosphere was fancy enough to feel Special but not pretentious. What a pleasant surprise! Passing through Elko, NV. Needed dinner, wanted local, not a chain. Went on a whim because we saw it as we were driving. Italian. Absolutely delicious! We got the stuffed manicotti with sausage. Yum!! Because we were traveling we couldn't have leftovers. Our waitress was understanding and the kitchen split the entree as well as the side salad. After a recommendation from a friend, we made it a point to have dinner here. We shared the special of the day waffle fries, which were poutine-ish with the pancetta sauce and sprinkled parm (3/5). Also got the fried calamari, which was tender and crispy (3.5/5). Where's the broth? The cioppino was actually a seafood pasta, and the scallops were flavorless. The tendon on the scallops were also still attached. Very disappointing! 2/5 My shrimp and lobster ravioli was tasty. The creamy sauce paired well with the plump ravioli, but was spoiled by fragments of lobster shell in a few of the ravioli. 2.75/5 Sampled our friends' spaghetti and meatballs and mushroom ravioli. Both ok. 3/5 Our food came out pretty fast, but things like water and bread were left unfilled for a while, even after multiple requests. Luciano's was a great place to stop into for lunch. Quaint little place with a full bar and bar seating or entry into main dining room. Parking was limited but available either in the lot next to building or on the main Street. Seating varies from bar seating, booths, to table seating. We went at lunch time and it wasn't too busy. Waitress was nice and personally knew our guide as well as other patrons in the restaurant. I personally like that- to me, that speaks volumes. Service was prompt and cordial with recommendations since myself and my guests hadn't been there before. Food was pretty good compared to other restaurants in the area. The chicken piccata was rather decent for the area. Chicken Alfredo looked good and grilled to perfection. The steak was also appropriately grilled- medium rare and the steak sandwich was a legit steak in a sandwich! Luciano's was our first dinner in Elko - recommended by our daughter. The experience was like a "Tale of Two Cities" - some of it was 5 star, some 1 star. So you'd think I'd give it a 3, but it was really 3.5 and the service and portions upped it to a four - more on that later. The restaurant atmosphere inside was very good - it felt like you're going to get a nice dining experience. We sat down, ordered cocktails and perused the menu. What leapt off the antipasti menu was the Avocado Caprese with sliced tomatoes so we started with that. That was 5 star. Don't miss that dish if you like caprese. For mains, we had different plates. I went with the Seafood Risotto, my wife Pasta Bolognaise, daughter and her boyfriend the Pappardelle Chicken w Garlic. One additional note for the extra 1/2 star - the portions are HUGE - served in large bowls. You will absolutely get 2 meals out of your main. Their chicken dish - 5 star. They loved the chicken with just the right amount of garlic. My seafood risotto - 3 star. Good shrimp and large scallops in the middle but the lobster risotto was just a little off tastewise and this dish in a large bowl actually detracted from the meal and may have messed with the risotto. I think this is an example where a smaller portion on a flat plate might have improved the dish. My wife's pasta bolognaise - 1 star. We make our own bolognaise and this was NOT a bolognaise. The pasta was spaghetti which is not a death choice - penne would probably be better but the bolognaise was basically diced, seasoned tomato - no sauce, no hearty ground beef and pork, slowly seasoned and reduced over 2 hours, etc. Avoid this dish at all costs until they fix it. To close on a positive, our service was excellent, the restaurant's vibe was great and I'm sure there are many great dishes at Luciano's. While not everyone shares the same tastebuds, I'd definitely rely on other Yelper's reviews to help navigate the menu. read more

My family and I were on a trip and came across this place on yelp. It looks great on paper, but when we got to the place, I was a little skeptical by its looks. I was pleasantly surprised by its food. I left there extremely happy with what we had, the wine was even good. I do have the knock it down a little bit when you see water stains on the ceiling that are easily fixed. It makes you think twice. So last nights dinner was good however our entrees were so disappointing. Let me explain... so first we ordered Garlic Parmesan Beer Battered Fries and Herbed Steamed Clams. We got a bottle of wine and everything was going good. My son got his pizza and ordered Fries with it. The waitress had heard that he loves pesto and asked if he wanted pesto fries which he excitedly agreed. (Our waitress was probably the most kind, sweet lady in the building.) Then mine and my boyfriends entrees came and we were both hit with utter disappointment. First, I ordered the Duck breast with Mushrooms and Spinach pasta, and he ordered Chicken Parm on Burrata Ravioli. My duck came out, so unbelievably over done I was so sad. I'm actually a pretty great cook, and duck is supposed to be medium rare. As you can see in the first pics of my entree, it was way...way over for duck. Somehow they managed as well to seriously over cook it while the skin was oily and soggy. Duck skin needs to be super crispy because of how thick and fatty it is. My BF noticed his chicken Parm was over cooked as well, and hard in texture hidden under all that Parmesan and didn't have the melted cheese on it that it usually does. We brought it up and the waitress was VERY SWEET, and asked to make it right. But unfortunately it took forever. Finally my Duck came back way better the second time (a bit too much on the rare side this time however still no crispy skin) and my boyfriends didn't come. And didn't come. And didn't come... Then the waitress comes out with it and apologized saying the chicken was "thick" and they cooked it but it was raw so they cooked it more. What had happened, is they hadn't pounded it out thinly enough to be done on the inside at the same time as the outside. They ended up comping the Chicken Parm because he didn't get to eat with us and by the time his chicken was actually done, it pasta had been sitting for quite awhile. Our waitress felt so bad and so did I. It wasn't her fault AT ALL. Sometimes the kitchen staff just has a hard night... and unfortunately this was one of those nights. Ok let's do this! I was here because I heard and read good things about this place. I brought my wife for her 50th birthday here. Service: Everyone was just blah. Not good and not bad just blah. I got drinks from the bartender, talked with the hostess and had a server. All of them were just blah. We had to ask to get water. Our food took forever and no conversation from the barkeep. It was very boring. Also I told them privately it was my wife's birthday and that will come into play later. Food: Just like the service it was very boring. We ordered ahi tuna and shrimp piccata and the rib eye with Mac and cheese. I wasn't sure if I could order drinks from my server as it was a limited menu for drinks. I ordered my drinks from the bar and my wife ordered the lavender martini from the server. We got there right when they opened. The shrimp look like they thawed it out and placed it on the noodles. Broccolini had no seasoning and the tuna was boring. All of the capers were found at the bottom of the noodles so they basically non existent in the dish because we never got to them. The rib eye temperature was fine but absolutely had no seasoning. It was a seared steak on a plate. The highlight was the Mac n cheese which it shouldn't be. I returned over half the steak. Also my server instantly asked whose birthday it was right when she came to the table. HELLO I spoke privately to the hostess and bartender and told them who it was for a surprise. Thanks for ruining that. They also said they give a free dessert for that. Our server did ask what we wanted for dessert but didn't say it was on them and usually it's a chosen dessert they deliver without asking. Don't get me started on their Caesar salad in the 1970 wicker bowls with no croutons and cheap shredded cheese or that they give you bread in a wicker basket and you have the oil and vinegar on the table to use. I don't mind doing that but this was supposed to be fancy as we paid over 80$ for the 2 meals. Plus the steak was chewy. I'm sorry Luciano's and maybe you had an off night but this was bad all the way around and my wife threw away her to go plate. Tips: Butter bath your steaks with butter, thyme, rosemary and garlic and use salt. Grill your shrimp. Season your broccolini. Put capers on top. Season the Ahi. Tell your workers to be happy and friendly even if they fake it. Good luck as restaurant business is hard but if you want this be strict about it especially if you want to be fine dining. read more

The wife and I were in town and chose Luciano's as she wanted Italian. Smiles from the staff was a bit dry, if any smile at all. I ordered steak and she ordered lasagna. We also shared a salad. The steak and salad were both very good. The pasta in the lasagna was over cooked and like trying to eat leather. Didn't see a waitress for almost 30 minutes after being served. Brought it to her attention and showed her some of the pasta that we had to remove in order to eat some of the content. The waitress's response was basically like "oh well". Luciano's has been a favorite over the past several years when we travel through Elko. Wonderful and friendly service, nice wine available, tasty good size dishes. Pleasant ambiance and never overly busy. Sadly, I was disappointed on my most recent visit that my go to order for mussels has changed drastically. It comes in a red sauce (not unlike their spaghetti sauce) instead of the white sauce they had on all my previous visits. I was very disenchanted when the order arrived. The menu said white wine mussels with tomatoes. I took the to mean, as in the past, white wine with a smattering of tomatoes on top. The bartender kindly offered to get me something else. Our first choice for dinner was closed due to a major remodel. They asked that we return the next night but alas, we had too many reservations to mess with our schedule for one meal. We asked for recommendations and Luciano's was one that seemed like it would work for all four of us. Amazingly, we got a parking space right in front. We walked in, and the restaurant was full. The bar was full. And there were three parties ahead of us. 30 minutes was the stated wait time. We didn't want to drive around looking so we stayed. The wait was 35 minutes total, quite reasonable for a packed house. As soon as a table left, it was reset and we were seated. Our server, Stacy, came by and introduced herself, apologized and said that she would be with us shortly. She was back within two minutes, pad in hand to take drink and/or food orders. It was truly a busy night as some of our items were out of stock in the kitchen. No Lamb Shank. No Eggplant Parmigiana Lasagna. We adjusted our order on the fly. Oops! Ended up with a seafood AND a mushroom risotto. We had asked to have everything served at one time so we could dine family style. She accommodated us by bringing out empty plates and a steak knife for each diner. She had also told us that since we ordered three entrees, we would be receiving three small Caesar Salads and would we like a fourth? We said yes please and were not charged for it. We don't know if that was an oversight or just part of the restaurants excellent hospitality. We hope the latter. Stacy was a great server. She was able to answer all of our questions and brought our food as we had requested. The food was delicious. Very flavorful with decent portions. Our only negative criticism would be the Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar on the table for dipping your bread into are inferior to the quality of the food being served. I see the reviews left, as that is why we decided to go there for the 1st time ever. Initial walk-in, loud....VERY loud. I had booked our table on open table and mentioned it was date night, so I was expecting more of an ambiance to accommodate an I timate evening. Boy, was I wrong. I guess I can start at the beginning? We were seated promptly and given water and bread Waitress asked us for our drinks and appetizer order, but we had barely enough time to figure out what we were drinking, so she attended another table in the meantime, no biggie. 5 minutes passes, and we ordered our drinks. We weren't asked about apps. Someone else brought our drinks, so still no apps ordered. Wine (cab) not tasty at all, and my Stella was served in the bottle, sigh. 10 minutes passed since we had our drinks, and our waitress was chopping it up at another table catching up on their kids' school schedules. Hardly a care in the world for customer service. Food....the shrimp appetizer we ordered was so over cooked, we could barely cut it with a knife. It was tougher than leather. My medium rare prime rib was reheated on the griddle and wasn't even warm. It honestly looked day old. My date's filet medallions were the same, even though she asked for medium. The ambiance is better at a food court in a busy mall. Harsh spot lights to illuminate the dated pictures on the wall. Take some money and make it neater inside. read more

One of the smallest towns in the US I've ever been to, and don't think I would've ever passed through this town if I weren't sent here for a work assignment. TBH I didn't have high hopes for the food here, but I have never been so wrong. Started off with a plate of Calamari and dear LAWD it was probably the most tender squid I've ever bitten into, while still retaining a delightful chewiness. It lacked a bit in crispiness but it went mostly unnoticed. Seasoning was perfect and paired perfectly with the marinara sauce. Calamari is a pretty standard choice for me whenever it pops up on the menu, and not even one of the many calamari dishes from restaurants I've eaten at back in Houston could compare to Luciano's. And then there was the Lobster Ravioli. That sauce was just magical. I thought nothing could've topped that Calamari I had just now but then they decided to detonate my taste buds with a flavor bomb. Not only the sauce, but the pasta shell was cooked to a perfect texture, not too soft and not too hard. My spouse and my friends love dining here. This is a great atmosphere for a night on the town. Desert is mouthwatering and a must order even if to go. The drink menu is long with great options. The cocktails and wine are satisfactory. The mozzarella sticks are a great appetizer and one to always order. Great service. I will note. However, the wait staff needs to remember to mention specials to guests. You won't be disappointed in ordering food from here. What an incredible surprise! World class Italian in Elko, NV! Great menu, equally great service. Definitely dress up not required but some were. Wine list very good. I ordered the Duck Marsala. Wow! Luciano's never disappoints! We went in pretty early, and were seated right away, even without reservations. We were seated in a section being served by an adorable waiter with dimples. We ordered the calamari and corn crab chowder to get us started. The soup was amazing, and the calamari was melt in your mouth delicious. I ordered my favorite - the salmon shrimp carbonara. The whole pasta dish was amazing, but the salmon ... oh the salmon! It was seasoned to perfection and melted like butter in my mouth! The bacon bits add just a perfect accent to the dish! My husband ordered swordfish special. It was served over an amazing rice with a jalapeño coconut sauce. Yes, we shared, so can say we both found it to be an excellent choice. There seems to be a menu trend lately using the term "house made." Not "homemade." House made can mean anything. I stopped by Luciano's. They were very busy. Server and hostess were very friendly. I ordered Grilled Chicken Alfredo. It also came with a small Caesar salad. The salad came out fast. The pasta did not. The salad was a small bowl of cut-up Romaine lettuce with a dollap of dressing and parm in the middle. It's really hard to mix up in the tiny bowl. After maybe 35 mins, the pasta came. Chicken was juicy tender, pasta al dente, but the sauce had zero flavor. It also had that artificial shiny look. Prob poured out of a jar, but heck, it's "house made." Portion was very large.
