What a great find in Elko! On first look the exterior looked a bit grungy. It's in the Albertsons Grocery mall. What a delightful find! Coming in the door it was very well decorated with welcoming table settings. They have great serene music playing. Extremely clean in my opinion. I thought my Pad Thai was among the best I've ever had. Chicken breast cut to perfect sizes, perfectly cooked yet juicy. I asked for medium spice and that's what I got. The red curry, drunken noodles, shrimp rolls, and roti with massaman curry were all delicious and rivaled the thai food ive had in non-middle-of-nowhere cities :) Another plus, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean and the staff were kind and attentive. Order FIRST at the cashier and THEN sit down at a table. What a sweet restaurant with sweet workers and adorable rooster themed dishware. We asked for MILD and they delivered mild and tasty curries, sort of on the sweeter side. I like it hot, so I was able to adjust the heat with their great selection of chili condiments. I visited the only Thai restaurant in Elko. Now I may be wrong about it being the only Thai place but it's the only one that I found. It's a small little place that has a zen feel and fantastic service. I was going to try a new Thai dish but they had a new spin on one of my favorite dishes. If you look back on some of my past posts you see I typically eat Mussaman Curry. They have that dish here with the combination of pad Thai noodles. I have never heard of this so I had to try it. And I am happy to say my venture paid off. It was a nice new experience. I ordered it as Spicy (their scale is mild, spicy, hot, and very hot) and was worried it wouldn't be hot enough. It was just the right amount of heat to go with the flavor. To close out my meal I chose to have the Mango sticky rice. The mango was the perfect ripeness and was the perfect way to end a delicious meal read more

We stopped here for a quick takeout on our travels from California to Idaho. Staff was extremely friendly, food was ready really quickly and it was delicious. I had chicken and mixed veggies and husband had chicken pad Thai. We will definitely be back next time we are traveling through. read more

The new owners have the food tasting great. They do need napkins, and the placemats are pretty dirty. I can look past that because the food keeps bringing me back. Yellow Curry is my favorite, and I also like the satay chicken and pad thai. read more

My husband; who never wants to eat out said let's do Thai today for lunch. We tried the garden spring rolls for appetizers-both the sweet chili and peanut sauces were great. He had the Pad See Ew, I had the Red Curry. Both were off the hook. We ordered spicy for both and they had the right amount of heat -not enough to make us cry. I am mind blown over the Pad See Ew since it was the first time I've had it here. It was absolutely delicious. The red curry was great too, just wish they offered a pineapple added version of it! Husband said it was one of the better meals he's had in Elko at a restaurant in a long time. I agree! The meal was great today!!! Living in a small town has its ups and downs. One of the downs in my opinion, is the lack of diversity in restaurants from other cultures we have here. Upon its opening, the mere fact that Easy Thai Café was and is the only Thai food restaurant in Elko, quickly made it the talk of the town. Brightening up the food scene, Easy Thai Cafe, offers favorites such as Pad Thai, Red curry noodle soups... Tom Kha and Fresh Spring Rolls! I just had to get the classics, so I ordered a Thai Tea, Fresh Shrimp Spring Rolls, and Chicken Pad Thai. My waiter was so friendly and told me that the Pad Thai is his favorite! That's was exciting to hear because I haven't hadn't Thai food in a loooong time, and I was so ready to smash! Everything was amazing. The Thai tea was so good and sweet. The Fresh Spring Rolls were heavenly and the peanut sauce was everything I wanted and more. The Pad Thai came out so quickly, it was hot and steaming and so fresh! It really hit the spot. The only notes to the chef I'd have about the Pad Thai is that it came with a lemon instead of limes, and I really love limes with my Pad Thai. I just had to ask for some and he brought them out immediately though! Easy fix! And I wish it had garlic chives or large pieces of the green tops of green onions cooked in. There were a few small pieces of fresh green onion on top as a garnish, but I wish there were some big pieces of the tops cooked in with everything else. Minus that, everything was so good and I'll definitely be back to try that red curry noodle soup !!!! read more

That was the spiciest food ever!! We asked for mild/no spice and it was so spicy hot we couldn't eat anything. Our poor child couldn't eat her dinner. Nothing came the way we asked or ordered it. We couldn't get refills on our water and all of our mouths were on fire!! My husband likes spice and even he agreed is was way to spicy for our kid or I. Never going back. Got the boat noodle as well as some shrimp rolls. Both fantastic. Dining is cozy and somewhat quiet. The staff is great and friendly. I will say even if you a fairly good with spice as I am I wouldn't recommend more than a 2 or 3 spice level. Made the mistake last time of getting a 4, vs the 2 I got this time, and it had huge kick. I have eaten here on 2 occasions. I ordered fresh rolls, and curry and both were very good. It's not a fast food restaurant and they cook everything g to order. The flavors were very good and prices are equal to similar Thai restaurants. We were lied to as to what was available, and the waitress lied and said there were no potatoes for the curry and complained that there were only two of them and that was why things were slow, only 4 people in the restaurant including us. We asked to have the music turned down, after waiting a reasonable time we asked again, the waitress again sounded off again about how theirs only 2 of them. When I receive my curry it had the wrong protein, she argued with me, I told her to check the order again, she then fixed it. We will never return. read more

I'm a traveler and have patronized the restaurant 3x's. My 2nd visit food was missing and today again food was missing. When I asked about it I was given the move on hand flick, "Im too busy" and she walked off. So I left and told her I won't be back. I asked for my soup to be "Thai hot" it's not spicy at all. And it tastes different from the other times Ive ordered Tom Yum soup. Please humble yourself your food isn't that good. But guess who gets the last laugh, me LOL. I see this Thai place is going down and I can explain why. The owner is the only one who can cater to her customers but not her employees. So last Friday, we decided to eat lunch here and the little Asian woman didn't greet us when we entered the restaurant. We waited and waited like 10 mins and I said hello!!!! She still didn't respond or even care to acknowledge customers. So I had to come to her with her busy texting on her phone, and I simply said, "are you open because we've been sitting and waiting for a server!" She has the audacity and said, "you have to go up to register and order foods!" I quickly replied, "where does a sign telling us we have to order at counter?" I added, "and you expected tips without serving customers siting at table?" I already wanted to speak to her manager but of course manager was not present. I got upset and told my friend to eat elsewhere. She knew I got upset and started to walk out and then she decided to tell me, "it's ok just have a seat!" I told her I'll speak to her manager and that this is not the first time I had problems with her lazy servers. Previous server was rude to a lot of people and he got fired per owner. This time I will not remove my comments as I did it last time because the owner apologized to me honestly. Customer service is the only way you can keep your loyal customers to come back, esp when foods are costly as prices go up. I love Thai foods but service and the servers owner hired are horrible. We were on a road trip and spending one night in Elko. I have Thai food all the time and this is not Thai food. The food did not look like the pictures at all. There was no Thai flavor whatsoever. I spend a lot of time in Elko unfortunately. I eat out all the time. Finally glade they got a Thai food restaurant. I wouldn't say it's the best but it's pretty standard food. Would have liked alittle bit of heat to my pad Thai. They messed up and gave me a shrimp appetizer instead of the one I ordered. Didn't realize tell I got back to the hotel. I tried calling the telephone number listed for the restaurant and the voicemail was full. Does this mean that the restaurant has closed for good? I've tried this place a few different times now and am more disappointed each time. There's no consistency at all. I had rotten lettuce with my papaya salad, overcooked chicken each time, either way too spicy or not at all, old and dry limes, and PAPER containers with saucy noodles... please stop doing that. The paper falls off and you're eating it the whole time. Unfortunately this is the only Thai spot nearby. We tried giving it the benefit of the doubt but not having any competition nearby is having the bar sit pretty low. read more
