Stayed the night in Elko and wanted somewhere nice for dinner. Didn't realize the restaurant was so far out of town when I called to make a reservation but the reviews looked good so decided to give it a chance anyways. The restaurant itself was pretty clean and good atmosphere. Went on a Friday night expecting it to be busier than it was. Service was slow which was surprising considering how relatively Empty the place looked, but not unbearable. Food was hit and miss. My daughter ordered the chicken Alfredo which was excellent. My mom ordered the prime rib which I didn't try but seemed to be a great cut. Son's ribs were excellent and my husband's salmon was good. That's where my pros end though. Was surprised that a nice steak restaurant didn't have any sort of bread with the meal. The "chefs choice" or however it was phrased veggies were literally from a bag of frozen veggies which I could forgive potentially, even at a nice restaurant charging $20-$50 a plate, but they were barely warmed through and had zero butter or seasoning of any kind. Yikes! My steak was a beautiful New York strip, the cut was perfect, but it was 1/3 cooked right 1/3 tolerable and 1/3 rare (I ordered medium). I can get around the wrong temperature being served if the steak is well seasoned but the steak was so bland I had to ask for A1 which is honestly embarrassing to even admit at a restaurant that nice. For a $300+ ticket for 6 people I expect to leave at a minimum satisfied and would prefer to be dazzled but unfortunately I left with a resounding meh. Wouldn't go again even if it was convenient to get to, certainly wouldn't drive off the beaten path to give it another try. read more

Service and food were very good. The staff treats you very well and all seemed to enjoy their job. Waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. Food had great taste and was cooked perfectly. We had dinner at Pine Lodge tonight and it was incredible. The location is beautiful and never disappoints. But the food stole the show tonight. Irelee, the head chef, outdid herself. I had the special orzo pasta, garbanzo bean, and salmon salad and it was fantastic. The mac and cheese was to die for. My husband had the special pita appetizer but I didn't get a picture of it. We had friends we ran into there that had the rib eye and the cod and they said both were delicious. The restaurant was busy, but the staff worked hard and were super helpful and pleasant all night. Okay, that was the best ribeye I have ever had....three days in a row. Let me explain. Out for a dinner with coworkers I didn't take pictures of my meal or the restaurant and was forced to leave my phone hungry while I ate. My steak came perfectly cooked at medium rare, with ends hanging off the extra long dish. The seasoning matched with the gloriously marbled meat had me savoring each bite in amazement. So where does three days in a row come in, the ribeye was so big, I took 2/3rds of it back to the hotel fridge. Next afternoon, I ate a second serving without even heating it. And unlike any steak I've eaten, the marbled fat continued throughout. Repeat the following day for lunch and I finally polished off this steak I have now set my bar for comparisons to. On top of good food, we had a great time bantering with our waitress. By the end of the night, she expressed we had made her night, and she too had added to the great experience we had. Drink prices were reasonable at about $7 for a mixed drink or glass of wine. My ribeye was $38, and included 2 sides. Which reminds me, the creamed spinach was amazing, doubt it was healthy but the cream sauce and flavor were well worth it. read more

Everything was amazing, all the way down to the water! You can tell they really care about their customers. I had the ribeye cooked perfectly with an amazing mac n cheese. My girlfriend had the bacon wrapped filet, and she couldn't compliment it enough. Her wine was fresh and tasty, as was my Kentucky mule. Father in law took us here for a Friday dinner. I will say my first time here was a pleasant one. The atmosphere was great with all the deco which kept out 2 year old entertained as she loved to look at everything. We were seated promptly, went over the specials and got our drinks pretty quickly. Order came in a about 20 minutes in which is great. We had three filet meals and one prime rib. All items were cooked as asked. Everything tasted great too. Drinks were on par. Waitress and helpers were really helpful throughout and always took care of anything in need. The pricing is a but heavy but that's all I can say was not great. Will be back again. read more

Our very first visit to the Pine Lodge Dinner House. We are new residents to the valley, but not unfamiliar as we've visited family in the area for many many years. We had daily specials of fettuccine w/ mussels and prime rib. Both were good. Standard side salad and a bowl of NE clam chowder. I could have had a 5 gal bucket of that chowder. It was loaded with veggies (not just potatoes). The clams were huge, tender, and delicious. Thank you for helping us celebrate our 20th Anniversary. On February 18th, my husband, sister in law and I went in for dinner. We got there around 6 and they were not busy. The first thing I noticed is no one was wearing a mask. After we got seated we got drinks and a appetizer fairly fast. But at that point it was all down hill. I ordered their special which was prime rib. My husband and sister in law ordered the salmon. We waited for over an hour to get dinner. Once it did show up the salmon looked good but the prime rib had alot to be desired. I asked for it to be medium well. When I cut into it I was surprised that it was rare! I asked the waitress to take it back and bring me a medium well piece. When she brought it back it was the same piece of meat and still rare. As I cut into it I realized that half of the meat was FAT! I tried to eat some and pushed most around on the plate. My husband was surprised that the meat was cold and still not cooked. Im asuming that it was the owner we talked to. She said she has no control over the meat she receives. She told us she would comp us on the prime rib. Well that did not happen. $150.00 later and a $25.00 tip. I feel we really got screwed here. Needless to say we will not be going back. As new residents here in Springcreek that was a poor first impression for this restaurant. Talked to owner tonight she refused to refund us and blamed the time frame of our dinner on covid. Haven't been the Pine Lodge in over 10 years. The atmosphere is the same, log cabin feel. The food for the most part was disappointing. A few things, like appetizers and desserts, were good, but the price you pay for a steak, it could have been better. Medium rare steak was rare or uncooked. The steak was difficult to cut as it had a you ligament or tendon running through the majority of the steak. A person in our party had the salmon and it was inedible. The side were nothing special and disappointing. The staff was great but the food needs some work. read more

I was looking for an upscale restaurant in this area. I couldn't exactly find it until I came HERE!!! Kudos to the chef! I only eat red meat every once in a while. I ordered the combination: surf and turf. I got the Ribeye with the King Crab Legs. Superb! I honestly felt transformed. The atmosphere is so cute, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly. We used to enjoy this place. The scenery is beautiful, the cabin feel is something like a getaway, but the service has gone so far downhill it's not worth it anymore. My wife and I were 1 of 4 tabes that were there when we got there. We immediately placed our drink orders; appetizers, and main course. It took an hour to get the appetizers, and another hour before we told the waitress that if our food was ready we needed it to go. By that time several other tables had filled up, gotten their drinks, their appetizers, and their dinner salads, but we were still hungry and waiting. After another 10 minutes we were fed up and we're going to leave after paying for the stuff we had actually received, but the hostess must have ran back to the kitchen because suddenly our food appeared. After having not seen our waitress for the last hour of our visit, she suddenly came out of the kitchen with our food. So we felt obligated to pay the full $250 check for cold food (after traveling to the sitters house and back home). I'm furious. I'll never go here again. I know they're suffering from lack of workers, but if it's going to be this bad even when they attempt to operate, they may as well stay closed. Disappointed and shocked that this was the best they can offer. It's a shame because they genuinely have good food. If you can ever get it. read more

My boyfriend took me for our 4 year anniversary back in July 2008 (So i dont remember each detail). Knew it was fancy but the prices were within reason. AMAZING FOOD, we sat upstairs at the window and got to watch the field in the back where animals come in sometimes and in fact a deer did come in and walk around a bit so that was neat (The table next to us said its even better in the winter when deer come in with the snow on the ground). Boyfriend had prime rib (YUM) I had filet mignon and snow crab (YUM) then we had a creme brulee for dessert... This was the first restaurant that my fiancé took me to when I was visiting last summer. I've since moved to Spring Creek and this is usually the restaurant we choose for our date nights. I love the cozy atmosphere and the service is always exceptional. We've had steaks, all you can eat crab, pork chops, salmon and, of course, desserts. I can't say we've had a bad experience. Quirky-cozy! I loved all the wood paneling and taxidermy. Try to get a table at the back next to mule deer window. In this tiny tiny town in Nevada, you can find excellent food. Hello, my wife and I decided to have a date night and take it to Pine lodge to see what's cooking. First of all I must say it was a very peaceful and cozy also a little cramped. When you first walk in there is a bar that you might sit and have a few drinks (they do not hold back on the shot size lol). The bartender was very hospitable and kind. So we had our drinks and walked to the dining area, we both ordered steak and snow crab , on the side I had tempura shrimp w veggies and my wife had potato and veggies. The dinner was delightful. In my wife and I opinion the snow crab and the tempura shrimp was the highlight but everything was cooked to perfection including the steak (but honestly I've had better fillet mignon. I have to give kuddos that they did make a grilled cheese for my son who is in that stage of not eating quite everything and is big boy enough to not want to share off mom's plate. Just wanted to remind customers like Jeff G with their bad reviews of businesses, how hard we are working to keep our doors open & try to have a little bit of normalcy. We all are very short staffed!!! We open when we are able to get at least a hand full of employees or friends to come in & help! All we want is to be able to open more & give our awesome customers the service they deserve! That is what all of us small business owners would love get back to! Most people understand what is going on right now, but there are some that don't want to understand & don't know the first thing about what it is like to own a business! They see what they want to see! How they don't see owners & their very few staff that are willing to come to work when most people would rather stay home then go out & make an honest living, are working so hard that at the end of the night they are so exhausted & so stressed that they burst into tears! Most customers are so understanding & really care about what we are going through! The others jump on social media & trash businesses because the businesses are so busy & overwhelmed that these people don't get the attention they feel they deserve. Unfortunately that is what is happening everywhere & there is nothing we can do about it at the moment until things get better & people get back to work! I don't understand people that constantly give everyone bad reviews & say they will never be back! How would you feel if this was your business or a family members that was struggling with theirs?! People need to think before attacking businesses especially during these difficult times & maybe just once put yourself in their shoes! No one is any better than anyone else!
