Sat at the old historic bar and also wandered thru the galleries while enjoying craft cocktails and local beer. Savannah was wonderful, sharing history of the bar and of Elko. So sad for the regulars, as she was working her last week. The Walden's Pond was good, even though they were out of basil. There were nice choices for drafts. Trivia Night started before we could depart and the bar filled up with locals. It was a fun evening!

We've attended many small gatherings here over the years, but also find it a special downtown spot to relax for a half hour or so before heading home. Because we live 25 minutes from Elko, we tend to go to DLC in the late afternoon/early evening, but they have activities and sometimes live music later. Go! You won't be sorry.

The place is an average bar that provides a stage for loud music. Tables to the right, bar to the left stage upfront and restrooms behind that. Fun touches throughout though. A sign above the door that says "tweekers go home", a neon Silver Dollar on the ceiling and bathrooms covered with innocent and "not so innocent" phrases written by drunk patrons all over the walls. (I can't post pics of that - you'll have to see it for yourself.) The drink prices are on point so you won't go broke here and the bartender was a friendly lady. This is a smoking bar so don't partake if smoke bugs you. It gets really loud once the band starts and the patrons fill up the room. We spent about two hours here before we left to go explore more of Elko.
