At a glance the price seems a little higher than you would expect from some place like Texas Roadhouse, until you realize that the entrees come with literally 7 courses. In the photo below, I had the "petite" ribeye which was huge, juicy and perfect cooked, and came with 5 sides. Not included in the multiple sides were the two previous servings of excellent cabbage soup and Basque salad. When dining at the Star, you'll never have to choose between quantity and quality - every entree comes packed with both. Great service, a nice location in the historic Elko downtown, and the infamous Picon Punch all make this a very worthwhile stop.

Finally, when she came to the table, I told her that I pre-ordered some drinks from the bar. She walked away. About 10 minutes later, the bartender brought the cocktails. Jenny came back and asked us what we were ordering. I told her and then she walked away and we really didn't see her again until the Bill. The food and drinks were brought from a variety of people. When we needed some other stuff, I flagged down the waitress for the tables behind us and she happily got us what we needed (water, more fries, etc) I went to the bar and got another cocktail as we would've never gotten another one since we never saw Jenny. The waitresses were all super nice even after we had to send food back, so I'm glad they at least had good attitudes and weren't mean to us afterwards. One unique thing I think is really cool about this place is they have a salad bar that is included in some of the dinners! Although it was not included in my rib dinner, so I didn't go and look at it. The restaurant itself was quiet with just the faint sound of casino machines in the background, and a few rowdy guys who showed up in big trucks and were yelling at each other through the windows. I let him know I don't have a paper receipt but have one on my phone. He told me that's not allowed. I'm so confused at this point. As he's arguing with me he puts his hands on my cart in front of me and told me I'm not allowed to leave the store. So detained me at front of the store. Called others up. Once they came up showed them my receipt on my phone and left. Was completely shaken up. A grown man doing that to a women for power control. Completely embarrassing and unacceptable. When they did finally call me after complaining was asked what I was expecting. Umm atleast an apology. Haven't went back since and don't plan to.

With the McDonald's app, every day I can get one large cup of coffee for $.99 and you too uniformity and having a business model that works, you've always get the same good cup of coffee. The only thing you have to watch out for, is while using the app you can tell how many creams and how many sugars to put in the cup. The machines at the McDonald's are not uniform. Sometimes you get more cream. Sometimes you get more sugar and sometimes the machine machines are empty and the workers don't notice. So I always go with four greens and four sugars and then ask for extra cream sugar and a stir stick. This McDonald's however, the coffee came out. Perfect I didn't have to add anything extra. The person taking the order, was very friendly. And the girl giving me the coffee was nice when I asked for extra cream and sugar. Everything was perfect

Usually though it's a nominal charge, $.23 to $.50. So I just pay it. Elko though? A dollar. Honestly. And I ordered a soda too. I could see if I just asked for water. Oh, after a decade living in Elko, I should have been ready for the good old "Elko extra". But I forgot now that I live out of town. Anyway McDonald's water policy is dumb across the board, but Elko is beyond the pale on that front. Nothing about a cup of water is worth what I bet is a 1000 % mark up. Service was chaotic, untrained and harried. Restaurant was a mess.
