From the attendant's response to my question of, "your pumps don't have an automatic shut off?" it sounded like this was a frequent occurrence and they were aware that it happens. I was offered nothing more than a sympathetic "uh-oh!" when I told them I had gasoline spill all over my feet. Not a fan of paying for more gasoline than I'll actually use...or of having to wash my feet in a gas station bathroom and having to leave my sandals in my trunk so I wouldn't smell like a gas station for the next 6 hours of my trip. I highly doubt people use Yelp to scope out gas stations to land at on long road trips, but if you do, here's my review of this one. There are plenty of other gas stations in Battle Mountain that aren't so environmentally scary. The price may be a touch cheaper, but you'll pay more for the gas that spills. Just keep driving down the road.

Fortunately for us, the car restarted and we made it to the folks at Point S. We called ahead and they got us in and on the rack right away. After running the diagnostics, checking the fluids etc, they couldn't find anything to explain the sudden failure. We ended up getting just an oil change and the mechanic noted that the transmission fluid was darker than it should be and advised we take it to the dealer. Even though it wasn't a big ticket repair for them, we appreciated them getting us in quickly and being through. We recommend them and based upon the crowded wait room, they run a good solid business and lots of others do too.

They towed us to Dakota and let me tell you the people there (Randy and Katie as well as others) took such good care of us. The level of expertise, empathy, problem solving and help was remarkable.
