We experienced our Jeep literally shutting itself off while driving on Hwy 80 somewhere between Elko and Battle Mountain. Fortunately for us, the car restarted and we made it to the folks at Point S. We called ahead and they got us in and on the rack right away. After running the diagnostics, checking the fluids etc, they couldn't find anything to explain the sudden failure. We ended up getting just an oil change and the mechanic noted that the transmission fluid was darker than it should be and advised we take it to the dealer. Even though it wasn't a big ticket repair for them, we appreciated them getting us in quickly and being through. We recommend them and based upon the crowded wait room, they run a good solid business and lots of others do too. read more

Point S Battle Mountain - Battle Mountain Point S - Tires Near Me - Battle Mountain, Nevada

This place is a godsend in what is kind of in middle of nowhere. The underside carriage dislodged and we hobbled slowly to them with duck tape holding the undercarriage. David at Point S got the paperwork going before we arrived and yes a little wait to be squeezed in. Point S was extremely honest and professional, we were out the door with a $35 fix. I wish they had a shop in San Francisco!! Thanks Guys!!!! read more

David and team were great. We showed up with a screw in our tire. Got us in and out in less than one hour. Great, simple, quick service. If you have an issue and are in the Battle Mountain area, use them. read more

Great service!! We are traveling and had an issue with our 5th Wheel with no connection. They found the issue and had a quick fix.

This is the place you want in your corner when you get a blow out on 80 in the hot Summer sun. So grateful to David and the team for helping us get us in yesterday after what could have been a hellish problem with four kiddos in the car. Within ten minutes of confirming that they had the tire we needed, Phil arrived and jumped into action. We were back at the shop in no time and back on the road shortly after. Thank you all so much! read more

Top notch place..they've given great service. I bought new tires from them, all my oil changes and more fr the last 3 years.. they have helped me out in a pinch, they have done free work checking out a tire for a leak to installing my new battery that I had purchased from Napa, it turned out to be a not a hard job but time consuming for them, and the still would not take my money..their word is solid. What a blessing to find Point S in Battle Mountain! My older car quit on the long drive across northern Nevada. Though they were full with customers, they tried simple fixes to get me on the road so I could make my appointment the next morning. The problem was bigger. Continuing the next day, they discovered the needed part was more than a week out. With an inventive work-around, they got me back on the road. Made the next 1000 miles of my journey home, problem free. This business is like a family. People come in and out all day long. They chat and just hang. Happy employees, happy customers, integrity. Next time I'm driving through I'll stop in just to say, "Hi." read more

Had a tire blowout on our trailer, we showed up just before closing and they mounted our spare free of charge while it was pouring rain. Two other trailers pulled up at the same time and they still got us out within 30 minutes. 10/10 read more

This place really came through for me in a pinch. I had an auto emergency while on a road trip, and they got me in immediately and fixed me up in no time. Didn't try to nickle and dime me in the slightest. They were so nice and helpful and professional. Thank you so much, Point S! read more

I can't say enough about this business! I was pulling my PT cruiser down Interstate 80 behind our RV when the Right Front tire failed on the cruiser so we immediately pulled off the freeway. We called Point S at Battle Mountain Tire Service to see if they had this size tire in stock. They had 5 in stock and said they could expedite the installation since we had 3 RVs waiting just off the freeway exit. I was so impressed with their friendly and fast service I decided to purchase all 4 tires. They even gave me my Military discount. They promised a fast installation and did all 4 tires in less than 30 min, amazing! They knew I was pressed for time since we had a caravan of 3 RVs waiting to get on with the trip! These folks were the most accommodating and impressive professionals that I have dealt with in a long time. KUDOs to the sales and management team and the installation team who stayed late. They performed their job safely and quickly! read more

Dropped my truck off for an oil change. Ive had the same truck since 2006 and have been putting the same type of oil in. I have never been charged $85 for an oil change. I was never quoted a price so it was a complete shock to have such a high bill. I wont be going back for any service. As an update... I got home and checked my oil levels and they put in too much. read more

We had an unexpected brake issue in our motor home and arrived at Point S near closing time on a Thursday. James was happy to get our issue diagnosed before closing, parts were ordered and service was scheduled for full repair on Friday so we could continue on our vacation. We were given amazing treatment while we waited. Everyone was friendly and happy even though they had to stay late. If you need auto repair, go to Point S. read more

Got a flat on my travel trailer today. When I went to change it, one of the lug nuts stripped. Fist tow company wasn't able to get the lug nut off. Point S showed up about 30 minutes later and had the new tire on in 5 minutes. Went to ask how much I owed them and they said not to worry about it. Wonderful quick service! Thanks for the help today! read more

Was on a long trip from Phoenix to make it in time to Seattle for my daughters grad school graduation and had a major issue due to my Phoenix mechanic's negligence that had me stranded with 2 week repair backlogs everywhere. Enter JJ - the superhero and her crack staff that diagnosed the issue immediately and managed to get me back on the road again just in time to make the graduation. Pricing was more than fair and the people there are excellent. JJ is as smart as a whip and should own the place or at the very least get a big raise. read more

THANK YOU SO MUCH to the Point S guys. Y'all saved my life today. I was driving from Utah to California & stopped in Battle Mountain for gas. Pulling into town I heard this weird noise, and I had no idea what it was. I called my step dad in a panic, who owns a Tire Factory in Wells, NV & he directed me to Point S. I pulled in there & they were pretty dang busy but they managed to get me in & had me pull between the bays and two guys crawled on the dirty cement right underneath my car & screwed my spill pan (or whatever it is, cuz I don't know a THING about cars) & fixed it in less than 10 minutes. Stood up & showed/gave me the screw that id need if it came off again & sent me on my way. Their hospitality & kindness saved me from completely melting down. I am beyond appreciative & thankful, you can't find businesses like this anymore. Thank you guys again. - Rachel. read more

I'm traveling from Wells to Reno and I hit something that punctured my tire. I put a spare tire on but I didn't want to drive the rest of the way to Reno on a spare tire. The shop is closed on Saturday but they have an on call line. The guys were at the shop waiting for me to arrive, they patched my tire and had me back on the road! I appreciate their on call service, their quick response time, and their friendly service! read more

My car got a flat tire while I was traveling cross country. (Va to Ca) I brought my car to Point S and hoped they had my odd sized Mercedes tire in stock. They didn't. The extremely generous staff contacted their tire delivery supplier and the amazing woman working there drove my tires to meet the truck so I could have them installed the next morning. Every single staff member at Point S was extremely kind and helpful. I've never witnessed customer service on this level in any auto industry or in most industries across the board. Not to mention this all happened on a Friday, they're closed Saturday, and still came in to help me out. Absolutely amazing service. Nice place. Helpfull and welcoming. Wait time is about 40 minutes just to have a tire repaired. That is kinda long I think.

LOVE THIS BUSINESS! I was driving across country with my daughter, and we had some serious tire trouble. We had been stuck for hours out in the wilderness, had quite the experience getting our tire changed, including the sheriff's dept (but that is another story). Long and short, we were about 2 hours out from Battle Mountain, with bad tires...and it was 3pm already! I called and talked to Tracy, who was literally so nice, and said they would stay open for us. We arrived around 5:30, and not only did the whole crew help with our tire situation (swapping tires, replacing our spare..), they were speedy fast, super kind, and made a super stressful situation actually really enjoyable. James knew how stressed I was and frankly, just made it better. When my daughter and I left, we had fresh fruit, and even a loaf of homemade zucchini bread. I can't recommend this business more. I also have a small business, and at the end of the day, treating people kindly, great customer service and honest business is just the name of the game . If we are EVER in Battle Mountain again, we will surely stop by and say hi. It changed the mood of our stressful day and made such a difference! Thanks everyone!!! read more

We broke down at a gas station in Battle Mountain. Our vehicle needed a new water pump. We had two mechanics stop at the gas station to help us and they directed us to the Tire Factory. Lost a wheel and hub assembly going over a rough spot in the 80 freeway that was caused by fault line. Got towed into the closest shop by AAA and checked my car in the next morning. Got new front/rear brakes in CA then took off a few days later for Maine. Day 1, brakes were making chattering/woodpecker noise on i-80! Was pretty scary. I pulled into the shop and the woman at the desk, Brianna, called the owner, Bryan, asap. He drove my car to hear the sound, and pulled it into the show immediately. They were busy but squeezed my car in and changed the brake bolts on both sides. Parts were covered by napa quality guarantee. Highly recommend. read more

We are so appreciative of the excellent service we received today. After noticing an issue with our car that could have been a disaster had we driven much further, Point S Tire was able to diagnose, receive parts and get us back on the road within a few hours, even though their schedule was already packed. They were especially accommodating to our dogs, not every place would welcome a 130lb Great Pyr into their waiting room! Morris appreciated the AC relief from the NV heat he's not used to. While passing through Battle Mountain our box van lost a lug bolt and ruined the wheel rim. We broke down about 15 miles away at about 2:30PM on a weekday. Atlas Towing Service recommended this shop as a towing destination. I called ahead and got Brianna and explained the problem. She struck me as very knowledgeable and despite being a tire place, it turns out they do some other repairs too! The way she spoke made it clear that she understood what I was saying and was well versed on car systems and what the issues might be. Once I had arrived, she told me that SHE HAD ALREADY ORDERED THE PARTS that she thought we might need. Yeah, before we even got there. And the ones we turned out not to need she said we wouldn't be charged for those. They also did a quick diagnostic check that night to see what other parts they might need for the car and ordered those too. Well we were on the road by 10AM the next day, which was the soonest they could get the parts. Considering we were about 200 miles away from the nearest dealership, that was quite impressive! I doubt that we were their only customer, but it really felt like I was and I was their number one priority. It's the best compliment I can give as far as customer service. Thank you Brianna and gang for getting us back on the road. Oh and they also called us later that day to make sure everything was okay and we didn't overheat again. It really felt lke they cared. I've never seen a car repair place have a 5 star Yelp average but if anyone deserves one it's this place. I felt the price we were charged was very reasonable as well. read more
