"Any time is Taco Time." Well, not always. These places are hard to find. But driving through Elko, we were pleasantly surprised to find one and get our Crisp Burrito on. Place is old but extremely well taken care of and clean. I used the restroom (spotless) and there was a hand dryer in there made before the first motorized vehicle. But it worked and it was clean. Always nice to have clean bathrooms when traveling. Food was fresh, hot, and good. Prices are high but guess what? Everyone's prices are high now. I had to sign over a kidney for my meat burrito but the wife's bean burritos are still relatively cheap. Fountain drinks and fresh brewed tea. Solid choices. read more

This fast food restaurant was interesting. I got a cilantro lime bowl, not bad but not good. The chicken tasted like the subways chicken for salads. Pre-prepped and not fresh made or warm. Most of the food came cold like it was premade. It's not horrible but it's not great either! I probably wouldn't go again. Also tater tots with these dishes was weird. read more

Guilty pleasure and reward for driving in rural Nevada. The food is definitely not gonna get any weight watchers awards, but it sure tastes good. Don't miss the lil packets of taco sauce, they are actually pretty good. PS. Don't go to the gas station up the hill on the other side of the freeway. I have always had good food and service here . If I had anything to complain about it would be the riseing costs. But that's everywhere.

Seems like people are judging this to be a Chevys when they should be realizing this is fast food. This place is way better than any Taco Bell or Del Taco that I have ever been to and the service was amazing and my big order was accurate. Since this is the last TacoTime going west on the I-80 corridor (since Winnemucca and Reno closed), TacoTime gets bonus points for that. Every time I've been in there, it's been one of the better TacoTimes. COVID means their dining room is closed and it's drive thru only. I'd heard stories about taco time so when we came across one in Elko, it was time. My bar was set pretty low so I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was tonight. The CRISPY BEAN BURRITO was legit. Imagine a taquito and burrito had a baby. This is it. It's small but that's part of what made it so great. It was perfectly crispy but still had a softness to the tortilla. It also wasn't greasy. As I do everywhere to judge across the board, I ordered a CHICKEN QUESADILLA. Solid 4 stars, would eat again. The chicken was moist, and the ratio of cheese to tortilla was spot on. The pico was a nice touch and didn't make it too wet (read: soggy). The MEXI FRIES are just tater tots barely seasoned but they get the job done. Their STUFFED MEXI FRIES on the other hand had a little heat and crispier but were otherwise basic. NACHOS were a lot bigger than anticipated. The chips were really good; the right thickness to withstand toppings. Overall, impressed for the fast food option. read more

I'm gluten intolerant and Varmae (manager who has worked there 34 years) was very patient and understanding. The intercom was a little scratchy so it was kind of hard to understand what I was saying. She ended up coming out near the car (with a mask on) and showed me which options were gluten-free on the menu. Phenomenal customer service and the food came out quick. Highly recommend! read more

Where should I begin?? When we walked in the seats were blocked up and we couldn't sit down. They got our order mixed up and the food wasn't even good. I have been hearing about Taco Time for well over a year. It used to be Kevin's family favorite when he was a kid and his mom still loves it. We decided to try it instead of Taco Bell today for lunch since I was a TT virgin. I wish I was still a virgin. MEH is what I can say. Luke warm food and they serve everything with tater tots! This place is expensive too-$5.50 for 2 tacos and a drink! The daughter's burrito was made and then put in a microwave to warm up and then served luke warm. BLEH. Sadly, the man knew I wasn't happy with this place and tried to make it better saying they were on the "B" team today. I am not sure-I basically think food in Elko is pretty much ass. read more

I can't believe these foolz bashin on Taco Time! I was posted up in Elko for tha night, n wuz lookn for a close fast food joint frum somewhere that Ive never macked down befo'..... Well, I pulled my plump ass into Taco Time, DESPITE all of the shatty reviews that I had seen, and I am glad I did... That ish is DANK, SON!!! i ordered like $50 worth of food (cuz Im a G like that) and kinda expected the girl to miss SOMETHING, BUT, ALL of it was there, which is a feat in itself. She was MAD cool. Ive been mackin Taco Bell for YEARS... Kinda over it. Taco Bell is OK, but compared to Taco Time, it aint ISH, YA HEARD!?! The drive thru girl told me if theres something I like from Taco Bell, then they would try to replicate it...But ya boi wuz like "nah, im straight...Lets try some of YOUR guys ish"...Man, it was GOOD. Taco Times all belong to a chain but do vary in some little things. The one in Elko, NV has a real nice salsa bar, with a better selection than most. This includes some salsa made from actual chopped vegetables, not just the red or green slurry that passes for salsa at some places... The green salsa is above average, and there is good fresh-brewed ice tea. They play satellite music instead of radio. read more

Expensive, not as good as taco bell, slow service. Too many good Mexican places in town to go here, especially at the insane prices for fast food. Food is not horrible, just nothing special to warrant higher prices then the taco trucks, taco bell or one of the handful of Mexican restaurants in town. read more

Cleanest fast food restaurant in town. Polite workers and the food is always what you expect.

Thought we'd drive through for some dinner on our way through town, sat at the speaker in the drive through for over 5 minutes with no acknowledgement, pulled around thinking the speaker might be broken. Then we sat at the window for 5 more minutes, watching 5 employees help the two guests inside, and nobody even glanced our way. So we drove away, with 5 Taco Time employees none the wiser that we even stopped by. Talk about horrible customer service. Needless to say we went elsewhere. read more

Waited 25 minutes to get our food. Poor service, poor food, poor experience. Will not eat there again.

STAY AWAY! You are better off with Taco Bell or some great Del Taco or even the Taco Truck!! SUPER over priced, SMALL portions, and the food makes you ill! Yes ladies and gents- talking the Hershey squirts. The only item I felt was OK in flavor was the chicken taquito- but watch that was the item to make us sick! It took 15 minutes at the drive thru window to get our food, and none of the food is prepared fresh as they claim, its all pre-frozen and bucketed. You are much better off eating a macho taco and chicken quesadilla or ordering from the more authentic taco truck down the street. Save you money and stomach!! read more

I love taco time they always have good food(it is a little more spendy but worth it). And the staff is always really friendly.

Ate there late last night. Delicious food. Fresh crisp lettuce and ripe tomatoes. Nothing was skimpy. Tacos were packed with meat and toppings! Food was hot and made fresh for us. Pleasant window service and plenty of hot sauce was also given. Definite place we will stop into again! read more
