It has been good in the past, however tonight we ordered an XL, half Megan's and the other half Alfredo chicken and it was to go, so we didn't see until we were home . I'll bet not even a chicken breast on the entire pizza. The crust was great, lots of cheese but again hardly no olives as well. Not sure why, but very disappointing to say the least. read more

Blind Onion has always been one of my favorite pizza places to go to. So when I moved from Reno to Elko, I was so happy to see one of my favorites in town! The cool thing about this location is they're located inside of a bowling alley that also has a bar and a Cold Stone creamery inside as well!! This combination makes it a great place for kids birthday parties because you can get pizza, ice cream, and bowling all in one spot. And the adults can blow off some steam with an ice cold beer. The bar area even has a little tiny arcade which is also fun for the kids. Blind onion is well known for their large and in charge pizza combinations and fun names! But no matter what pizza you get, you can be sure it will be full of toppings! They don't skimp on cheese and they don't skimp on toppings! One of our favorites is the General! It's a supreme pizza but it's topped with a beautiful array of crispy crunchy bell peppers, which my family LOVES. It's so colorful and yummy looking! Our other favorite thing to get is pesto chips which is essentially cheese bread with pesto, cut into diamonds as an appetizer. My 11 year old son insists he could get one of those to himself and just eat that and be happy. But I think my favorite part of the whole thing is the big twisted crusts. If you've ever noticed before, each table has a jar of honey! The honey is for dipping that big fluffy twisted crust in!!! It's my favorite way to finish my pizza, with a built in dessert!! Whether you are going for a bowling league or a birthday party or just to enjoy some pizza and ice cream, Blind Onion is definitely at the top of our list. A must try for pizza in Elko! read more

They do not have their sh** together. Took about 5 minutes on the phone to order 1 pizza and a salad. For whatever reason they could not remember 5 toppings. Then they said 20 min till it's ready, showed up 25 min later, was told "it'll be 20 minutes". Then I specifically asked for fresh not pickled jalapeño, I bet you can guess what they used. This is the second time I've been to this location and the last. First time (about 6 months prior) was perfectly fine and pizza was good. Not sure what happened, but that was a painfully annoying experience just to get the wrong food. read more

It's my favorite pizza place in Elko! Zucchini sticks are delicious, pizza is on point, and tastes so good the crust is my favorite as I usually don't eat crusts, but the crust on this pizza is delicious. I haven't looked to see if they make a stuffed crust, but if they do it would be mouthwatering and delicious. A calzone is perfection here!!! I love that you can eat here and then get ice cream for desert. Good amount of sauce to cheese and toppings. This place needs more business!!!! WAY BETTER THAN ROUND TABLE PIZZA & will be the only pizza place getting my business from now on. Price is comparable to Round Table as well & you're supporting a small local business. read more

We were traveling cross country, and the Italian restaurant next door was closed for a private function....so we stopped in to this place to grab something relatively quick. My daughter ordered a slice of pizza and I ordered a Chicken Ceaser Salad. Both came out within 5- 10 min. But we both wanted more...so I immediately went back up and ordered a meatball sub to split between us.... The order taker warned us that is would take 20 min....... 40 MIN. later, I went up to inquire, and he told me 6 minutes......10 minutes later, I went up and asked for a refund.....he said it's just about done, but I was wronged twice on one order and again requested my refund. The manager (?) Came over to perform the high level math and work the cash register refund function. She handed the money to him and he handed it to me.....No apology, No explanation.....will never return. read more

I don't know if I would recommend this restaurant since I never got my food. They ran out of salad for a salad I ordered. They burned the pizza I had ordered and had to make another. Things were just taking too long. So we asked for a refund and left hungry. They never told us there were issues we had to go up and ask about our food. I understand it's in the evening and maybe there's no management but if you're going to leave teens or young adults in charge they should be taught how to handle when issues come up. This place will probably not be my first choice next time I'm in town. But the Round Table we went to was tasty! read more

My friend had been to the one in Reno and recommended it on our road trip to help her move back home to Northern California. This pizza does not disappoint and the service was great and quick! During these COVID times you'd think they'd help with delivering curbside, but I guess not? Or maybe not? We've had it done before, but when my wife called this time they refused. When we got the pizza home there was hardly any Canadian bacon, or jalapeño, but a TON of red onion (fine by me). The pizza was incredibly flat, floppy, and dry. The crust was still full, albeit doughy, but still edible I guess. The onion rings were slightly over-cooked and somehow smelled sour like body odor? Maybe coming of the containers which makes me suspect they got wet or something. I'm highly disappointed in my birthday meal tonight. Honestly, probably some of the worst pizza I've ever had, and I've had a lot of pizza. I've had Flying J gas station pizza better than this pizza. On the way back to California, my girlfriend and I chose this place for it's price and proximity to our hotel room. We got a large pepperoni pizza and "garlic chips." Side note, can we just make garlic bread? No one reads "garlic chips" and knows wtf you're talking about. The pizza was overly greasy, wafer thin (but not intentionally thin crust), and bland. I kept thinking the predominant flavor was oregano, but I couldn't place it. The crust to pizza proportion is way off, and the crust was slightly doughy. The garlic chips were slightly more flavorful, but I wouldn't claim that they were good. We got two cups of marinara sauce, which I would more accurately call "tomato paste." The garlic chips, when dipped, would not even pick up the marinara sauce. We threw both out. As we continue our drive back to California, we are eating the cold pizza. If I were ever to move to Elko one of the first things I'd do is attend a chamber of commerce meeting and take them to task for their wide sweeping, epidemic proportion awful customer service. If not for the staff at the TownePlace Suites I'd think that it was Elko law that businesses are legally required to hire rude, surly, borderline incompetent workers to serve in all customer facing positions. I don't blame the workers for being awful. I blame the business owners and managers for the allowing, perhaps even encouraging such rancid behavior. And would it kill these businesses to show a little pride in their establishments? Cleaning is not a bad thing. Neither is updating things or modernization without impacting the tone that is trying to be created. Now, in regards to the onion, I called to place an order for pick up. The first call i was hung up on. The second call went to voice mail. The third call was answered by someone with a tremendous inability to listen or respond in an articulate manner. Not wanting to give up yet really not wanting to wait at the place. I just drove to the onion. I went on. Sort of a dark, a little dank and in need of a refresh. The guy at the counter was nice enough but could figure out how to sell 3 slices of pizza. Seems the calculate only in 2s. I had 6 plain wings. I'm sorry to say the Elko chickens have a degree of dwarfism as these were the tiniest wings ever seen by the human eye. Poor little chick's. I had 4 slices of pepperoni pizza. They were simply above average, which do for Elko food is truly amazing. To their credit the end crust was great, lots of cheese and a wonderful amount of pepperoni (that needed a few more minutes in the oven). My favorite place in Elko, so far. Pure accident that I wondered in, very happy I did. Bowling alley, Lagunitas, I found no reason to leave. $12.50 for shoes and all I could cosmic bowl. The employees here are great! The two who had put up with me throughout the night, were polite, and attentive. The bowling lanes were well oiled, and I used a house ball I was able to hook in the pocket. I wish I had gotten something to eat, but I'll return to give it a try. Yes, the pizza here's amazing, as evidenced by our coming back for yet a 2nd night on this Elko visit. The Greek pizza is RIDICULOUSLY good and the crust is fresh and absolutely delicious. This pizza was really quite good. The highlight was the crust, it was fluffy and well seasoned. We got to see the guy working with the dough, it was cool. We ordered 2 xl pizzas and they were done in a reasonable amount of time. I feel like it was fairly priced as well. There was plenty of cheese and other toppings with a complimentary side of ranch which was very tasty. The one thing I would change is the space, it felt cramped as the cold stone ice cream (inside of the restaurant) lined up right behind my seat. Exactly what we were looking for! Just passing through town and once we got to the hotel we noticed that our choices for delivery kinda lacked appeal. Looking at what our other pizza options were in the area - and with the kids wanting to go to the pool and not have to actually go somewhere to eat - I saw this little place had great reviews so I sent my husband over to pick up some pizzas and bring them back. They were delicious! We ordered one XL that was just cheese and an XL Carnivore. We also picked up the jalapeño Bacon Chips (or something like that) - they were yummy as well but a little too "bready" for me (was hoping they would be cheesier and lore "loaded". All-in-all great place! I gave them 4 out of 5 for the price. I see other reviews that said they got a "great meal deal" for their family of 6 and another person that said they felt it was fairly priced as also. Well, we would have gotten 3 pizzas but only got 2 because of the price. I have a family of 7 and the one more pizza would have definitely been appreciated and the 2 we got disappeared lightning fast with little mouths asking for more. The 2 XLs plus the appetizer ran us $75. I guess I don't know much about Elko, but in Denver that meal runs us about $36 at our hoppin little pizza joint. read more

This little town has secrets... The Blind Onion with a Cold Stone inside!! If you come to Elko, at least make one stop here. The crust is great and the sauce is a nice touch. There are other pizza places in town but, this one has been designated as my go to. When driving by, don't blink, you'll miss it. The parking could be better but, what can you do. It's a tiny bit high on the price, however, the amount and quality make things totally worth it! The service can be hit or miss sometimes but, how often can one be surprised by that? Who cares!! I'm not a big fan of pizza, that said, this was good for bowling alley cuisine. I enjoyed the thin crust. I felt there was a good selection of choices, plus a great meal deal for our family of 6. Friendly service; only we weren't greeted, and when the gal helping us had ice cream counter customers walk in, she walked away and the young man from the kitchen took over our order. When our order was ready, they brought out one order, I was concerned by the time the other orders arrived the first order was cold. As part of the Blind Onion chain, this one doesn't stack up. The pizza is decent but don't expect it to be superb. Other Blind Onion locations do a better job. Caesar salad was good with lots of Parmesan and dressing. Service was surprisingly good. Price for an 18" pie, two drinks and a large Caesar salad was under $25 which is very reasonable. The atmosphere is very loud because of the bowling alley attached. We went in on a Saturday night and lots of families with children so the restaurant is loud too with rugrats running around. read more

When I went to get my money back the lady said I can't refund your money you have to find the manager! After finding the manager I told him I just want my money back and he goes to his computer turns his back. We ended up walking out and not eating and not getting our money back. I love Blind Onion pizza whether it's in Reno, Sparks, or Elko. However, customer service severely lacks in all of the locations. While the employees seem nice enough, food never comes out right, doesn't come out at all, or takes too long. I've been to the Elko Blind Onion twice. The first time, my husband and I called in our order knowing that it would take about 30 minutes for the to make the pizza. The man who picked up the phone, took our order, and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. When we showed up at the Blind Onion, they said they had no call in order under our name and none of our food had been made. They said it would be another 15 minutes for them to hastily put our pizzas together and cook them and our wings. The toppings on our pizza were lacking and they forgot our ranch for our wings. I decided that I wouldn't go back to the Elko Blind Onion again. Alas, my second trip came when my mother-in-law came to visit. We tried to go to Machi's, but it wasn't open. They are huge fans of the Blind Onions in Reno/Sparks, so suggested we go there. Since I was trying to be a good hostess, we went again although I was very skeptical. The reason Elko Blind Onion bumped to 3 stars was due to this visit. Our order was actually taken this time and the toppings were good. However, our 2 orders of wings came out about 20 minutes after the pizza. By that point, I was no longer starving and it seemed moot to order wings. Additionally, it took them close to 45 minutes to make the pizza even though it was delicious. All in all, don't go to Blind Onion hungry and make sure you double check that your order is in the computer. read more

Driving thru Elko on the way to Idaho. Great pizza, super friendly staff. They were very accommodating to 4 different needs of 2 kids & parents. They had it all on 1large pizza in quarters. Perhaps they were having a bad day, but the service was way below what I would have expected from the reviews given. As for the pizza I've had better from the half hour delivery chain. I have food allergies and cannot eat mushrooms. I am very careful when ordering if the menu includes mushrooms I explain no mushrooms and why. It was disappointing to get my pizza home only to open it and discover it was LOADED with mushrooms especially because the menu I ordered from did not include mushrooms in the ingredients. It was quiet and I had excellent service and attention from Beth on their waitstaff. Had pizza and it was delicious (crust A+... they make it daily).
