Wonderful for a healthy fresh fast lunch! I got the salad bowl and the employee made me a fresh tortilla and lined the bowl first then went down the line and added all the different salad items and layered it perfectly as you can see in my picture! The guacamole and chips were really good too. We will definitely be back as we have been here before and make sure we stopped here when we were in Elko, Nevada. read more

If you say you close at 10pm, please don't close at 9pm and basically treat people bad until they leave. May 21, 2026. Young man extremely rude. read more

Generally a very fresh and delicious restaurant. Of course your dish is created right in front of you. You make the choices of what and how much of it. Service was fast in a line of people :). Clean throughout. Will visit again. read more

Marie was super nice, smiley, and friendly! The food was yummy and fresh. Only complaint is they were out of larger containers but it's no biggie. The place was also kept pretty clean. read more

Service was great! The venue is spacious, clean and cute. The food was great, the place is similar to chipotle it's just a lot more welcoming inside. Queso has a small kick to it, but it's good. I got the Baja bowl with steak which was good. Good place for big groups. read more

I have to say I tried again and once again 10 people working and still no veggies sad.

Nice facility, good tortillas, loved the mango salsa, quick service! Two of the employees we encountered were great, the third was crabby and smart assed. Perhaps she didn't want to be working on Easter. read more

Service was fast and friendly. Unlike other similar Latino-ish cafeteria-style establishments (e.g., Chipotle, QDoba) there are no plant-based proteins, but they do have three different choices of beans so it was all good. The server offered to run our food through the toaster and that was fun. As mentioned before, service was very good. The food was fairly tasty, but was overpriced for the quantity. I wound up paying nearly nine bucks for a little bowl of beans, rice, and lettuce. My biggest complaint, however, was they charged ten cents for water. Really? Even McDonalds gives away a cup of water for free. The manager needs to think of the loss of goodwill that the ten cents costs. read more

This was my second time eating here and I chose to order the sweet pork burrito with sauce on top. I'm pretty sure I got the same thing the time before. To start this time was much quicker, I think the last time I was here I arrived right behind an entire sports team. The staff was friendly but not too efficient making the burritos, the person doing the toppings kept taking her gloves of to ring up each person individually instead of making a couple burritos at a time and then ringing everyone up. Not an issue but still waited around a bit longer than I was expecting to. The burrito's are huge! Mine lasted for dinner, a late night snack and the next days breakfast. The sweet pork had a good flavor and was cooked nicely. The shell wasn't soggy or dried out and there were good portions of everything inside of the burrito. Costa Vida is similar to your other fast food Mexican places and I will always consider it an option when looking for this style of food/burrito. read more

I ordered the nacho... there is NO cheese on this nacho! It's a $14 nacho with no cheese! I tried calling the Elko costa vida number that is listed on my confirmation email (775) 777-3555, I called 5 times with no answer (during normal business hours, mind you I just picked up this food and we are traveling through so I can't just turn around). When my husband went in to pick up the order he said the kid who gave it to him had a stoned look on his face. Not impressed read more

Wanted Salad with black beans. Sm. Sign says no black beans which was included in salad. Asked if I could substitute for chicken since they were out. They prepared dish w/chicken w/o asking Mgr 1st. Young girl claimed she was manager and refused to accommodate and told me it's a dollar extra and was not nice or display any customer service. All employees were young that didn't know how to do job. I'm on a restricted diet per doctor's order and they refused to accommodate. Absolute worst restaurant customer service in Elko. read more

We visited this location and had the worst experience. The rice was undercooked, The food was cold, and the service was slow. It also gave our whole family stomachaches. Restaurant was extremely dirty and food prep area was gross. read more

They didn't put the proper portions of food in my burrito they put under the appropriate amount. We waited 10 minutes no one acknowledged us very rude and had attitude. They were very slow, and I asked for extra meat and proceeded to get the normal portion of meat and still got charged for extra meat. My burrito was basically a tortilla with sauce and cheese on it. read more

Easy location for road trip food stops. Fresh made tortillas, and delicious cilantro lime rice as a side. Our food was fresh made, and well seasoned. The cherry chipotle chicken was a great balance of sweet and spicy. Kids meals are a good medium size. A good amount for 8-10 year olds. The cinnamon tortillas are a great small sweet dessert read more

Was in desperate need of a big, nutritious meal on after 12 hours on the road and this place came through. Staff was really kind and accommodating of my vegetarianism and tomato allergy- lol. Went here for the first time to get a burrito, and this place puts half your sides on the side, not in the burrito? So am I suppose to eat sour cream, guacamole, lettuce and Tomatoes with a fork?? I love this place! I travel for business in the area and always make sure to stop here. The food is delicious, and they have the best tortillas. They are made fresh right in front of you. came in on Saturday evening. Asked for a veggie salad and a steak burrito, I was informed they are out of black beans and steak for the burrito. Told them never mind then on the burrit. Asked for sauté veggies on the salad and the snotty girl said "were out of them to" What a joke of a place to be out of everything on a Saturday night and have the worst customer service in Elko. Wow. I'm stunned to be writing this. I went to Costa and there was this very kind family, they were patient with the worker when he said he'd be with him in one moment. He was with his family and one of his kids to seemed have some disability. They proceeded to order their food again being very kind. The kid wanted to order on his own the dad picked him up. The worker his name was Andrew as it said on is name tag, started yelling when he couldn't hear the poor kid. He then proceeded to be AWFUL to this poor family. The family seemed upset and left with out taking their trays. He made a fuss about that too. I get the food industry is hard but come on dude. You are a GROWN MAN. Act like it. I was stunned to say the least. He was very rude to me as well. Not good customer service from this guys. Everyone else was great. Pretty sure he was a manager too tho. Food was great as always tho. This guy needs to be fired or something. read more

Surprisingly good fast-food Mexican food. I got a spicy chicken burrito, and it was pretty good. The sauce was tastefully spicy, and the chicken was not overcooked. It was a great on-the-road lunch. I used to love this place and go almost weekly. The last few times it has been terrible. About a year ago I quit going as much because something black and slimy was in my salad when I got back to my office. I called and they refunded me and added some points to my account. Took a hiatus and finally went back a couple month ago. The food has been meh. The place is always a mess with dirty tables and out of order signs on the soda machine. Went last night and found a bug in my food. Took it up to the counter and they offered to remake my meal and basically said oops. No thanks. Hard pass. I want my money back and my points back. The did that, but so nonchalant about a bug in my food. They had 5 workers behind the counter and the line was a mess. Sauces spilled all over, cheese everywhere, stopped the line to make more tortillas. It was a shit show in there. Won't be back to this location again. read more

Very dissatisfied with this location. We came in 40 minutes to closing time and all the chairs were up on the table as if they were closed. All the food was out of the heaters pushed to the side (ready to close 40 minutes early I guess) The workers were all messing around laughing, pushing each other-- it took them a few minutes to even address us. Was very disappointed with the customer service at this location. read more

First time trying this chain. Can't say I'm entirely unhappy about this place. It could not be considered a real taqueria because meats like cabeza and lengua are not on the menu. It's one of those build your own type of restaurants. The shredded beef was the special for today, the beef had good flavor, the rice they used was converted rice(which should not be used for this dish) you had you pick of beans, black, pinto or refried. Then choice of toppings once they wrapped it, like cheese, chili verde, tomatillo, enchilada. They run it through a salamander to heat then finish it off with salsa, lettuce, guac, sour cream, cilantro or others. Pretty good, but no comparison to a real taqueria. read more

The staff on Thursday night March 17th was outstanding. Very professional and outstanding customer service!

I didn't think there was a Costa Vida franchise worse than the one in Brigham City Utah but this Elko Nevada location just took the top spot. Everything was burned. The chips, the tortillas, the queso. So bad. The kids running this place are clearly unhappy and not interested is any customer service. Tried to order horchata but it was empty and the kids said they were too busy to refill. Asked for new chips and they have me another plate of burned chips. Nice work! read more

Always out of items and not very nice about it. Once again we ended up walking out without ordering anything and went to another restaurant that always have extra food so we'll be happy to give our business to Rolbertos instead. Not my first time trying take out. I gave it another shot and it was my last. Order online, says it'll be done in 18 minutes. I show up in 20. The Stores line has maybe two people. My food was not even started, just to also be told they are out of chicken and it'll be another 10 minutes for that? With what looked like plenty of staff, the speed is horrible. If you're in a hurry just try to come in and order. Take out here is a joke. read more

Since opening in Elko, I've been here numerous times. Because it's fairly new (and one of the few places open later and on Sundays), it can be busy at times. However, the past two times I've gone in, the lines have been very reasonable. I've found that the hold-up is usually at the cash register as they only ever have one open and it can take a while to ring everything up and pay. Their food is always fresh and you can watch the tortillas being pressed and cooked at the beginning of the line. You have your option of whole wheat or flour tortillas (corn or flour if you are getting enchiladas or tacos). You have your choice of black, pinto, or refried beans with most entrees (and most of them come with cilantro-lime rice). Meats include grilled chicken, raspberry chicken, steak, grilled shrimp (on some options) sweet pork, shredded beef, and vegetarian (I may be forgetting some, so you might want to look on their website). Entrees include burritos, quesadillas, nachos, enchiladas, tacos, and salads. All of their hot entrees go through a warmer which is something I've never seen done at other similar places. A few things that I dislike. They charge extra for sour cream and guacamole for any entree (even vegetarian options when I feel like the guac should be free) and charge for side salsa if it's not included (like on the quesadillas). Also, they give the option of smothered burritos (sauce and cheese on top) for $0.99. However, their raspberry chicken burritos come smothered in the raspberry sauce (they say that's how they make them), but still charge you the $0.99 for the smother. I feel like if that's how they are taught to make it (and usually don't give you the option), then the customer shouldn't be charged for it. Also, I would like to see more options for the inside of burritos (such as having a salsa option to be put inside the burritos). However, I have to say that I like this place and will continue to go there to eat. It is somewhat expensive, but the food is all fresh and it's worth it to have a place to eat in Elko that's in between fast food and sit down. read more

Very clean and friendly. The food was better than the average Costa Vida. We were very happy with our experience.

The food was very good here, not the best burrito but overall not bad. The staff was not very friendly either. The restaurant was clean though and nice to eat at. They also charge extra for a tiny scoop of guac which sucks. I'd come back though since it tasted good. read more

This was my first time visiting Costa Vida. My husband said he likes it so much better than those other mexican grills because he finds the ingredients fresher and better priced.
