My husband and I were excited to try Teriyaki Madness after moving to Elko, but after three frustrating experiences, we've decided we will not be coming back. Each time we've visited, we placed our order, paid, and then were told after the fact that they were out of key ingredients--an unacceptable and avoidable issue that speaks to poor management and customer service. Most recently, on Thursday, June 5th, we walked in and specifically asked the cashier if they were out of any food before ordering. She assured us everything was available, so I ordered a tofu bowl with noodles and vegetables, and my husband ordered a spicy chicken bowl. After paying, we sat down to wait, only to be approached by a staff member informing us that they were out of spicy tofu--despite confirming its availability beforehand. When I was asked if I'd like to substitute it with chicken, I explained that I am a vegetarian, making the substitution impossible. After three failed attempts to dine here, we've lost any confidence in this establishment's ability to serve customers reliably. Teriyaki Madness needs to address their inventory issues and ensure honest communication with patrons. Until then, we won't be giving them another chance. My family and I have been here about three times since moving to Elko and each time we were greeted with warm service, good quality food, and overall a great experience. We moved from LA so perhaps we're just used to sub par service but this place is great in comparison. The food is usually ready within 20 minutes and the manager/ owner is always pleasant and accommodating. He even let us taste a few items we were unsure on. I think the bad reviews here are people who aren't being realistic on what a fast food/ franchise chain is. I recommend this place for anyone with a taste for teriyaki without wanting to spend full service restaurant prices. read more

Oh my gosh!!!! so yummy, we pulled into double dice Rv Park after a rough day of travel it's a KOA park that has been bought out. We are towing our big rig with a helicopter, and we were starving, and I had food out for dinner, but decided to order from this place with DoorDash. Ohhh sooooo delicious. We ordered their large 2 protein meal with fried rice, veggies, steak and chicken bowl. Absolutely yummy. We were starving after a rough day. We are headed to OshKosh, Wisconsin for EAA Airventure! We have had some new RV Coach issues and might be de-railed tomorrow, but not sure. This food hit the spot, I ate with chopsticks and I am stuffed. This store never fails to disappoint, but this time it disappointed even more than usual. The men's restroom was out of order. They were out of containers for those ordering large portions. The restroom (I had to use the women's) was dirty. Worst of all, the fried noodles were so greasy -- there literally was a quarter cup of oil in my bowl -- that neither my wife nor I could finish our food. On the plus side, the plucky server who took our order managed to stay friendly and pleasant despite the state of the restaurant. Food is ok, BUT the service straight up sucks! They close at 9:00pm and I arrived at 8:15pm, the place was empty. I was told due to having only two people working, they had put away all the food (again, it was 8:15 and EMPTY). No, one does not hear of a place called Teriyaki Madness and then simply not go...which is a bit of a shame because were the rules different...alas, I skip ahead. So, lots of little problems here that would be of no consequence individually, but together paint a bit of a different picture. To wit, anemic water pressure in the bathrooms, as in the sink literally won't go past a trickle. From there, bottles of sauce on the tables is fine, but all of them were messy and cruddy, as if they had not been cleaned or otherwise attended to in weeks. Also, soda selection is highly wanting and let me just say to get the cookie when ordering. Trust me, you'll probably want it. As far as the food, this is relatively pedestrian chain Japanese-ish food, with these pretty neat combination fork/chopsticks things. It came out fairly fast and was fresh, so no complaints there. I got the spicy chicken, which was heavily, heavily on the garlic side (remember that cookie advice from earlier?) to the point where I had to later stop to buy something to get the taste out of my mouth (I didn't get the cookie) and I like the flavor of garlic generally. It was not particularly hot and could have used a splash of soy in there, but I may be an idiot, but I'm not a foolish idiot and no way am I using any condiment in a visibly unclean container, feeling that if I do, the percentage that is my fault for any resulting food poisoning will increase. As it turned out, I didn't suffer any ill effects and I did appreciate the veggies in the bowl with the chicken and the rice, but flavor-wise, it was a bit overbearing and I was tired of it well before the end of the dish, which was not helped by it being somewhat dry. There are a few other menu options as well and with my discovery that it's a chain, I might be able to find a location that does this somewhat better, so as to try those. Realistically, this is more of a 2.5 rather than a 3, but not quite sure I was offended enough to downrate it to a 2. I will say that if I ever venture back that way again, this place will not be on my list to visit. read more

WE ordered one Large bowl of Steak, chicken, rice and veggies.... And a side order of egg rolls and chocolate chip cookies.... It Took door dash a few minutes to find us, but when we got our food, it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!! The food was soooo good, meats were tender, and the whole bowl was amazingly yummy! I was out of town and wanted something quick and different than the typical fast food. This place was not busy but had a very delicious menu! I ordered a bowl with spicy chicken, rice, veggies etc. I thought this bowl pretty good, I can't say it was anything to be blown away with but it did taste good! I would also recommend the potstickers! The employees were very nice and the restaurant was clean. My husband & I stopped by on a road trip to California. This place is clean and we got our food quickly (less than 5 minutes). I got the chicken teriyaki bowl (junior size) with brown rice & veggies. I got the madness combo, which is a salad and drink for an additional $2.50. The food was fine. When she called a name out I thought she had called my name so I went to the counter to grab the food then realized it wasn't my order. The boy in the back came out and yelled at her asking her if she could read. He said it very rudely. He needs to be talked to because that's not how u talk to employees and you definitely don't do that in front of customers. I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. The meat tasted really good with grilled flavor. Veggies and rice were good too. But I won't be coming back: Their salad is just iceberg lettuce decorated with shaved carrots, not healthy. Their selection of drinks is over sugared and tasteless, which doesn't match the place's healthy image. The are so many better low sugar choices. Even worse, all the food is served in heavy duty plastic covered bowls that are used only once and generate lots of waste that does not decompose, and uses a lot of oil to make. We order two tofu bowls veg one with rice and one with noodles. What we got was rock hard tofu the butt end of the cabbage and 5 little little pieces of broccoli a dime was bigger than them. The rice and the noodles were gross. Not to mention they charged us $1.25 to make it mad spicy and yet it wasn't even mild it was like they didn't add anything extra to it. Finally! I found a restaurant worthy of my five stars! I was hungry tonight so I ordered a large bowl of teriyaki chicken breast bowl with vegetables , potstickers and edamame. When I first wasted the chicken I thought it was marinated well but needed more teriyaki flavoring. I was going to go to the counter an ask for more teriyaki sauce and noticed there was a bottle on my table that I thought was soy sauce but turned out to be teriyaki sauce. When I poured on the sauce, that took it to another level! Bed of veggies were cooked perfectly and had a little crunch. The potstickers were tasty and the sauce went well with them. Edamame was served in a cool take out box and was warm and had plenty of sea salt. On the wall is a saying by Bob Ross, one of my favorite tv personalities/artists growing up. The chicken teriyaki bowl was available with brown rice - brown rice is a rare option in Elko restaurants. Flavor was good if a bit on the sweet side. The teriyaki sauce had a strong sugar component of some type. The chicken portion was generous as was the rice portion. Vegetables, which I like, were relatively scant. This is not my "Elko go to" for a teriyaki bowl, but I have not located an ideal Elko option for a good, quick teriyaki bowl meal. Counter service ordering was cheerful, but, even with a low diner load, the wait for food after placing the order exceeded 20 minutes. Most clients appear to order ahead and take out. No outside seating, but indoor seating was clean and sufficient, under current dining loads, for COVID safe dine-in provided you are able to space by skipping tables between other diners. read more
