My husband and I had dinner here last night. We started with the ahi nachos. They were good, fair amount of ahi. I felt like it was missing a kick of some sort, but I enjoyed them. For our main meal I ordered the fattoush salad with Canadian salmon, and my husband ordered the steak frites. My salad was a fair size, and so was the salmon. I had no complaints it was decent. However, I could make this for myself at home. I was hoping the salmon would have some sort of additional flavor, but it was just grilled. My salad was served with pita bread and that too was just warmed and cut atop my salad. It just felt like the dish was missing something. My husbands steak frites were deconstructed. Meaning the steak was not atop the fries and the sauce was available for dipping. For $22 I would have added a vegetable to this dish. I get the thought of it that it's meat and potatoes, but the dish was better served as an appetizer. My husband did add that the cut of steak was good, and cooked to his liking. We did have to stop and get him something else to eat. Overall our meal was decent. Nothing to write home about. We may come back and try again. read more

Food is really good. We had the beef tenderloin and the Cuban sandwich and loved both of them but an hour and half to be served is just too long. Server would come by and ask if we were needing anything and then when we asked for more drinks she would disappear. What a great place to eat! the vibe is classy and welcoming. The bartender was wonderful and created cocktails not even on the menu. I had the most WONDERFUL salad! Not sure if I was in Manhattan Kansas or Manhattan NY!! I also ordered the chicken thighs. It was a large dish and I took half of it home. We were going to eat at a popular breakfast/brunch place, but were told it would be an hour wait. Thankfully, we walked by and saw the Wine Dive was open for Saturday brunch. Not only was there no wait (and reservations are taken when it catches on) but the food was phenomenal! Our table had the stuffed French toast, the fried egg sandwich, biscuits and gravy, and a scramble. Everything was delicious. The baked goods from Radina's were an added bonus. We went here this past weekend to try something new and were thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was nice with low lighting, making it feel private even though we were in the middle of the restaurant. Cocktails were excellent as well as the wine. We ordered the ahi nachos and the aranchini risotto balls for apps, they were excellent and for dinner we ordered the braised wild boar pasta and the duck breast. Both were phenomenal!! I went to this location on two separate occasions. Both times my food was undercooked and not warm. To be a "4-5" star restaurant I was very disappointed by the service and food provided. Several things were wrong with our experiences, the food needs to be better for the prices they are selling for. The entire meal was great. The apps were amazing. We tried the beef bruschetta and ahi nachos. The cocktails were also well made. I had the gimlet and an old fashioned. For the main course I had the pork chop. One of the best I've ever had. To top everything off we shared the delicious Rum Chata cheesecake. My husband and I own a fine dining restaurant, so we like to check out new places. We ate at the Wine Dive on a Friday. My husband had the ribeye and I had the pasta with added salmon. I ordered the salmon medium rare, it came out burnt. I pointed this out to the waitress, she said she would tell the kitchen. Nothing was done. She even asked if I wanted a box to take my burnt salmon home. Since it is a wine bar, I thought someone would know about wine. Not the waitress, she said she only knew about the featured wine. Which we ordered, it was good. Overall, it's a good restaurant, more attention needs to be paid to training the staff. read more

Maybe when Wine Dive is "on" they are worth 4 or 5 stars, but my experience was about as "off" as it can get. As an out-of-towner was dining on a Wednesday night with friend who lives in Manhattan. Wine Dive was chosen as our destination b:c friend had previously had a good experience. Drinks and appetizers ordered: cheese and charcuterie were very good but tiny portions. Friend ordered scallops, I ordered Steak Frites. Embarrassed waitress returned to report they were out of BOTH! And also informed not to order the mahi-mahi b/c that too was unavailable. 3 items unavailable on a Wednesday?!?! We were given menus again and time to regroup. It was a struggle that manager noticed and came to our table to kindly offer suggestions and apologies along with a business card size 'discount' for our NEXT visit. We finally chose to have burgers and frites, a real come down choice after walking in desiring scallops and steak. I ordered mine medium rare, and she ordered well done and emphasized well done, specifically no pink. And both chose 'no bun' as additional carbs were not preferred. Order is placed is placed by our waitress at the open kitchen window where the chef keeps looking over at our table and with an angry face appears to be arguing with the waitress. Food comes, mine is medium rare (bloody juices ok with me), friend's is cut open and pink bloody juice runs out. Offer is made to return to kitchen to cook additionally but with the cheese already broiled on the top that is not an acceptable solution. We had been there an hour and half: just over the wait, the lacking menu, and if a chef can't cook a burger well done... then what can one say? We asked for a box for my food and a check. Now the chef situation gets very interesting: he stops working, stands at the window, staring us down, alternating between glares and smirks. He didn't take his eyes off us for the 10 minutes or so that it took for us to pay and leave. The manager gladly gave us a 20% discount at my request, I tipped the waitress the whole 20% she was entitled to, manager offered more apologies, and Chef glares is down. Summary: Wine Dive made a waitress bear the force of a poorly managed kitchen inventory, a manager may have an employee problem in the kitchen, and the Chef Fofo needs to graciously cook to customer preference, and keep his hateful face in check. Suggestion: Wine Dive - hire a new chef, treat your wait staff better by being better inventoried, and manager, offer a discount that is beneficial immediately for a customer who has endured what we did - don't make the customer have to ask for it. read more
