Silly prom stair photo walking down to the speakeasy

This place was so fun and unique! We have several places like this in Kansas City, but I was so happy to see such a cool new place in my hometown! We really enjoyed the quiet vibe, although we may have personally raised the volume a notch with our girl's night but this place was so chill and the drink menu was really cool. If you can get in, check it out! It was a perfect ending to our night.

Probably one of the most fun and surprising discoveries on our road trip, this college town speakeasy has it al! Cool secret knocks and passwords, underground location, well laid out setting for experience and to feel safe with Covid make for an outstanding impression. But the Bartenders really drive the experience home with their vast knowledge, ability to feel out what you want and present something tantalizing and delightful! Seriously considering a road trip back here with friends!

I can't tell you much because there are rules. The first rule of speakeasy culture is: You do not talk about speakeasies. The second rule of speakeasy culture is: You do not talk about speakeasies. The bartender knows best; there is no photography allowed. However, there is free wifi! I can tell you this: the ambiance is grand, there are ladies like flappers and the gentlemen are dapper. There are crafted cocktails made with fine spirits. Even the bathroom is cool. We tried three cocktails, all of which were divine. There are membership options but we were fortunate enough to check this out when it was available for "the public" to make reservations. I can tell you one thing for sure: when we were inside, I told Eric R., "It sure doesn't feel like we are in Kansas anymore." Perhaps the Big Apple rather than the Little Apple? Compared to our previous homeland of Vegas, the drink prices are reasonable. Cheers!

Great ambiance, drinks, and service. This was a great find while we were in Manhattan for a conference.

Great service, this has got to be the best place in town for spacialItaly drinks that are decently priced.

Third experience and terrible service. I do not recommended this 'exclusive club'. They are obviously not interested in new members.

Wine Dive Kitchen is a lovely restaurant in downtown Manhattan…read more I found them on OpenTable and booked a reservation for dinner on a Friday night. We were able to get in at 8:15. It was a little late, but they were super busy with a large party in a private room. Once we got in and got seated, the delightful server took excellent care of us. My wife wasn't really hungry so she just nibbled off my plate. I started with a half of a wedge salad, which was delicious. They had a special on a piece of paper that night, which was a smoked pastrami, burnt ends sandwich with homemade rye bread. It was glorious! Very creative and fun. Since I don't love fries, they were kind enough to substitute deviled eggs as my side dish. I didn't know there would be an up charge for that but it's okay because they were delicious. We each had two drinks from the bar and they were made very well. They have a huge wine, seller and a great selection as one would expect by the name of the place. This restaurant has other locations in Lawrence and Wichita and I would eat at any of the three. Very cool menu and an amazing wine selection. This is really good food.

I was feeling something lighter, so ordered the Fattoush Salad and added salmon for a dinner meal and it was very good, though didn't wow me like my guy was raving about his burger! They had their wine menu on an iPad (wide selection + easily updated) that had everything from fancy bottles to affordable glasses. Don't skip the cheesecake if they have it either!

She was attentive, kind, and clearly holding it down even when management was on some weird decisions. Now for the food... meh. The arancini balls were dry. I was excited for that green goddess sauce but it was way too salty. Not a vibe. The stuffed mushrooms though? Fire. My man tore his up and said they were the best part of the meal. The crab had that lil fishy kick to it, but like... it's Kansas, what we expect? We got the rosé flight--honestly the highlight. $12 well spent. No complaints there. He had the smash burger which was so good... but I'm realizing now it came without the onion topping. Probably forgot it. Not a dealbreaker but still. Now let's talk about the wild part... I asked for some marinara for the arancini and the manager had Emily bring me cocktail sauce. Not a joke. Cocktail sauce, y'all. Like... shrimp dip. Not even close. It's giving confusion. You got a whole ragu on the menu but can't pull together a marinara or even a basic tomato sauce? That ain't it. And instead of coming over to explain or offer an alternative, the manager had Emily do it? Smh. Not cool. But because Emily was dope, we'll probably be back. Wednesday wine nights might see us again just hoping management gets it together. If I wanted mystery red sauce, I'd be at Taco Bell. This is a wine bar. With tapas. Let's act like it.
