Great place to get a drink or quick bite with a few friends. Nice retro feel about it.

Between Hi and Lo is... average! I wanted to rate this place higher. It has a really cool vibe and they played cool music. Unfortunately the food was really meh... I had high hopes! The server was really nice and was a bright spot. Unfortunately a nice server, cool vibe, good music can't overcome rather average food. read more

Just reading the pizza here. Not sure what the affiliation is between here and AJ's, but I've had AJ's before, and found it pretty average so thought I'd try Hi Lo. Pizza shows up and it says AJ is on the box. Same AJ's Pizza as I've had in the past. Anyway, not bad, just nothing to write home about. read more

The service was superb! Bar staff kept my drinks on full. I definitely hit the roulette machine for my beer choice! The food was portioned gently and the drinks were ice cold. The atmosphere was awesome! I had the grilled cheese pizza slice that paired well with a Miller lite that hit the spot! I will definitely return when in Manhattan again. This is a must stop for me when in Aggieville. It's a great place to be. Thank you for being awesome! Respectfully Bryan OKC read more

The Hi Lo - Delicious - Pizza Near Me - Manhattan, Kansas

Nice little hipster bar on Moro Street. There's a Fernet-Branca tap, though I was told it's mostly for show, only used on occasion. The specialties are burgers and pizza. What's cool is that any of the pizza varieties are available by the slice, not just by the pie. I ordered a beer from the mystery machine: $3, you'll probably get a cheap domestic beer, maybe you'll get lucky and get a craft beer. I received a can of Genesee Light. (I didn't finish it.) The pizza was good. Kitchen messed up one of my slices, but they made up for it by giving me another one for free. That's good customer service. My experience was pretty average. Still, I have no regrets, and the bartender (Mark?) is a nice guy. read more

Cool place. Nice friendly service. I had a half price cheese burger (Wednesday) and the pizza fries. The burger was solid and the pizza fries were awesome. Try the Milwaukee roulette! read more

The Hi Lo was such a fun little hole in the wall! We were looking for somewhere to eat in Aggieville and asked a cashier at another business where the best place to eat would be--they suggested the Hi Lo. We were pleasantly surprised at their low prices and high quality of food! The burger had a nice crisp ring around the edges and the bun was lightly toasted. It was delicious. The fries were perfectly cooked, salted and piping hot! They were served in a fun bag with the Hi Lo logo on them which was a fun addition! The caprese salad sliders were good! I wasn't entirely sure how to eat them--they're served with a fork but the fork didn't want to cut into the lettuce. I tried my hands but the balsamic would drip everywhere. It was a complicated adventure. They were very tasteful nonetheless. I would highly recommend checking out the Hi Lo next time you're in Aggieville! read more

The Hi Lo - Double burger and fries. $6 on Wednesday. - Pizza Near Me - Manhattan, Kansas

Hi Lo is the only pizza place we have found in Manhattan that offers non-dairy cheese, which is an amazing thing for these vegans. Not only that, but the staff is always unbelievably friendly and give great customer service, even when it's a mad house there. Love this place!! read more

We were in town for a tennis tournament and stumbled upon this little place. I'm kind of confused about the pizza place vs the hi lo but I think they are really one in the same. I had a burger and fries and it was so good and only $7! My daughter had a side salad and slice of pizza which was huge. We shared the goat cheese breadsticks which was also huge but also very delicious. We took a lot of food back to the hotel and before tax and tip our bill was like $22. Very reasonable!!! read more

We love The Hi Lo for their burgers and ambiance. Best burgers in town. The perfect juiciness, thickness, and flavor. I like that you can customize your burger or choose one of their signature burgers. Their crinkle fries are always salted and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is fun, retro and chill. It's always clean and service is fast!! read more

The Hi Lo - View of bar from dining area - Pizza Near Me - Manhattan, Kansas

Went to Hi Lo for some food and drinks later in the evening in Aggieville. Wish we'd gone there sooner in the day, as we knew immediately we'd found our spot. Food hit the mark, and the cocktails were well done. Great staff too! Eclectic atmosphere, definitely an oasis for a more seasoned group looking for a place in the Ville to call home. read more

This place has great drinks, great food, and great vibes. Perfect for a date night or pregaming the ville. Love this place.

Not sure how or why this place is rated so high. I had one experience here and not sure I would come back. The wait staff want friendly and we didn't feel welcome. I ordered a mai tai and it definitely wasn't right. My boyfriend did their mystery beers and it was just a ploy to give him the cheapest beer possible. Although the bar lacked, I was excited to try pizza but yet again I was disappointed. The pizza sauce tasted like pasted sauce and the wait was too long. There are way better pizza places and bars in aggieville. read more

Hi Lo does not live up to the hype. The food is nothing special and there are far better bars in the Aggieville area. They offer a "mystery beer," which is really just a way for Hi Lo to serve low quality beer at a higher price. The dining/bar area is very small and gets crowded. Overall, I would not recommend Hi Lo - there are a lot better pizza places and bars around the Manhattan area I would go to before coming back here. read more

Loved this place! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very laid back. Enjoyed pizza and a burger along with a beer while watching basketball and felt right at home. Love this place! read more

Amazing atmosphere, especially around the holidays. Take my advice and just get the mac and cheese pizza and you won't regret it.

This place is friendly, fun, and perfectly unique for MHK. Bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, cheerful, and patient - and have no worries if you need some help deciding or if you want to change your mind after your initial order. Food is above average ... And then there is the fact that they serve AJs pizza.... Exceptional. Love it. Please come check out the hi lo - you'll be glad you did. read more

What great service we had by Katelynn!! She helped us navigate the menu for our Vegan diet. They have vegan cheese and AJ's pizza. Yummy pizza! Katelynn was very helpful with another challenge and we are very grateful!! We had some great beers on tap including Smithwicks Irish Ale-from Ireland and apparently the most popular ale in Ireland. All you could hear is silence because we were in food heaven. I want to go back to Manhappiness just to eat here again!! read more

Hubby and I went here on a midweek (Wednesday) date at 5pm and sat in a small booth on the bar side of the restaurant. It was just picking up with the happy hour crowd. Our server was sweet and very attentive. Beer on tap was on special ($3) and I loved the grapefruit beer. The menu is small but the food is excellent. It seems like the kitchen/owner pays attention to detail. I had the chicken sandwich (normal style) and hubby had the "Nashville Hot" chicken sandwich. Just enough spice to taste the flavor. He got fries on the side for a 1.50 extra. Fries were okay-it would be great to see the burgers/sammies served with house cut fries. Sandwiches were small but super tasty. Chicken was breaded but not greasy. I also got a caesar salad and it seemed like the dressing was house-made and bonus: they topped it with anchovies! They also serve AJ's pizza. Yum. Prices are very reasonable. I like that this place makes me feel like I'm not in Manhattan. Can't forget to mention that they have a mystery beer vending machine. I'll try that and a burger the next time we come. Nice work, guys! read more

My first impression of this place is that it is really loud. Granted, the K-State game was on, but conversation was very difficult. The pizza was decent. Menu is nearly the same as AJ's downtown. Hi Lo was fast and very good, the service was especially good. Best Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich in town! The salad sliders are a really good concept, but I wish there was an extra leaf of lettuce.
