A great little Italian spot hidden away on 5th Avenue in Seattle. Right around the corner from the Amazon Understory. Modernly decorated, cozy, friendly atmosphere. Although I wasn't very hungry, they had a unique selection of food and beverages! Having a holiday cocktail, I tried the Parco Savello which was unique & refreshing. Also sampled the Hadrian's Villa which was good as well. Again, not being very hungry, but the menu looked so good, I decided I had to try some of the food. You know what I notice when I come up to Seattle from Southern California? The customer service is just better for the most part all the way around. Willmott's Ghost was no exception. We were seated as walk-ins in the middle of the pandemic while we didn't think we would be able to get a seat and it was busy there. They accommodated us and sat us at the bar where Ed was making our drinks and props to him because I had the absolute best Espresso Martini that I feel could ever be made on this planet. Willmott's Ghost is hidden inside the bottom of one of the Amazon glass spheres downtown Seattle. Anyone can enter this restaurant and dine- reservations are recommended! We went here for dinner for my boyfriend's birthday on a quiet Thursday night. Our server was very attentive and helped us pick out a bottle of wine. We got the focaccia bread, a seafood app, beats, and a 1/2 potato and 1/2 sausage pizza. Literally everything was wonderful! We ate the apps so quickly that I forgot to even take pictures. The beats really surprised me- they came perfectly cooked in a slightly creamy sauce. I usually don't like beats, but these ones were delicate and delicious! Our server brought out a donut and a birthday card at the end, which was a thoughtful touch. We left very full and happy! I came in on a random Wednesday night by myself for a drink. I didn't have a reservation but waited about 10-15 min for a seat at the bar. I ordered the Pink Lady which was recommended to me by one of the staff members. I liked it - was refreshing for a summer day! This is one of our favorite places, and I have been meaning to leave a review for a while. We love sitting at the bar and getting great drink descriptions and recommendations from our favorite bartender. The food is consistently amazing and moves with the seasons. Cool space, too. Salad was $18 and pizza was around $28 which on a normal day is high... but the place is very cool being inside the sphere so for a special occasion it was fine to spend the $$ plus... your in Seattle. Our server was very nice. You do need to know it is a loud restaurant & the tables are VERY close together... so you may need to be selective on your chit chat topics as you dine. Your neighbors are in your business.. smile. There is a time limit assessed for your table (1.5 hours for two people; 2 hours for 3 or more) but we found the allotment just fine. read more

This is in one of the Amazon spheres, but you can't really see the plants or garden part at all. Came here for a quick pre-dinner drink / snack. Ambiance is very clean, bright, a bit feminine, but really pleasant. I think they're known for their pizzas but we got the fried gnocchi, burrata and focaccia. Didn't expect the gnocchi to be fried when we ordered, but it is on the menu as "fritti" so we just didn't notice. Regardless, it was pretty delicious, somewhere in between a smooth tater tot and croquette, and it had a nice mild heat. I enjoyed them. The burrata was ok, but I thought it was a really small portion. I'm used to it being served in a ball and this was like a half a ball that was cut open. It was really too small for $15, presentation wasn't super appetizing, and it didn't even come with any bread, the focaccia was a separate order. I will say the focaccia was really good though and I'm glad we ordered it. I also got the Minerva's cup cocktail and enjoyed it. If you like mezcal I thought it was refreshing and good for summer. I give it 3.5 stars, but because I didn't get pizza It might be unfair rate this restaurant as a whole. 5 stars for the bread alone. Foccacia and sour dough is a must at this cute spot - pair that with their prosciutto, meatballs n butter lettuce salad and you are good to go! A perfect spot for an afternoon apertivo - and the vibe is lively and fun. Grab an Aperol Spritz while you nosh on your elevated charcuterie and people watch Amazonians go about their day. You are literally dining inside the spheres so that is plus for sure! Pizzas and entrees rotate and all noteworthy. Wine list is mainly Italian - my fourth visit and this lovely spot is now on my regular rotation. Will not be ghosting this joint anytime soon! read more

I'd probably leave 4.5 stars if I could, and here's why. The food and drinks were excellent -- our server recommended getting a few dishes and eating family style, so we did. There were three of us and it was definitely the right amount of food. Negroni (10/10): My partner said it was the best negroni he'd tried. Prosciutto & melon (7/10): I never thought these two would go well together but they did! Nothing particularly special though. Focaccia (8/10): Very tasty, texture was nice. I loved the salt on the top. Pizza (6/10): The burnt edges were dry and didn't have much flavor, but the middle was good. The preserved lemon went well with the other flavors but I wish it had more cheese and sausage. Roast chicken (10/10): SO good!! It comes with a chimichurri-like sauce and blistered tomatoes, which were incredible with the chicken. We joked that I wanted a straw to slurp up the sauce. Our server said it was a half chicken but it seemed smaller than that. Tiramisu (10/10): So creamy and fluffy, not overpowering, a perfect end to the meal. The only reason I'd dock a half star is the weird (not necessarily bad) experience we had with service. We ordered the margherita pizza but were served the sausage pizza-- we chose not to send it back because my preference had been the sausage pizza, so we took it as a sign from the universe, but my partner would rather have gotten the one we ordered. Also, when my partner finished his first negroni he ordered a second, and they delivered a second and a third. I think there was some miscommunication between the staff because two different people delivered the second and third drinks, but we were quite okay with the mistake since they only charged us for the two we ordered. The decor and ambiance was perfect. The music was exactly the right volume, it wasn't crowded, and it was super cool to dine in the Spheres. We ordered the calamari, and I wish we had more, & the sauce was so good. If you like spicy, the calamari was perfect. The pizza was good, I just wished we had a more melted mozzarella instead of fresh, but that is my fault. The pizza scissors were so fun & I wanted some for myself! We had the BEST lunch experience after our tour of the Amazon Spheres! This is the cutest hidden gem! Nick and James were the most thoughtful & sweet staff, taking such good care of my food allergies and other details. We had a refreshing Wanderlust drink to start, followed by the sausage, preserved lemon, chili flakes, and peccorino cheese pizza on focaccia bread. The cheesy crust was special, too. It even came with golden scissors to cut the size you want. Everything was made from scratch to order. Fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. Could eat every day. Really love this restaurant -- I have had great experiences each time I've gone. My must-tries for this place are the pepperoni pizza, focaccia bread, and tiramisu. One of the best tiramisus I've had, the pepperoni pizza has a super fluffy dough, and the focaccia bread is baked fresh and served warm. The pizza is super filling and pretty big, and well worth the price in my opinion. It's interesting the pizza comes with large scissors, so you can cut the pizza slices yourself, however large or small as desired. I really liked the fried gnocchi (the pecorino & calabrian chili fritti) too, and their cocktails are super pretty. Other dishes I enjoyed was their black cod, fresh burrata, and wildness farms meatballs. I've always been able to get a table easily by reserving just the day before, so it's super convenient to go here on the weekends or the weekdays. Additionally, the décor and ambience is gorgeous (and a huge plus is it's in the Spheres, which is nice in itself). Parking is really easy (much better than other parts of downtown Seattle), as you just park in the Amazon building for free. Overall, I'd recommend this spot to anyone -- it's right in between casual and fancy, and just a really great place for dinner or lunch (or both!). read more

The hostess was welcoming, but after we got seated and ordered, we weren't checked in on. The food took over 45 minutes, which was strange because the place was practically empty. Two servers helped us, a female server took our order and then we didn't see her again until the end of our meal. A male server helped us a couple of times, but he was extremely rude and made us feel like a burden. I pitched this place as a cool lunch spot, but I ended up feeling embarrassed to the other people I was with. Not going back again ever. read more

Love the location at the Amazon Spheres, and loved the concept and food of the place. Currently, the menu is a mix of small plates and pizzas, and while the pizza was tasty, the small plates really shine here. Even with pizza, do get the focaccia. Yes, it will be carb overload, but it is freshly baked and just so good. Order some prosciutto and it's a great first course. The anchovies with lemon and fresno chili was also great. As for the pizza, it's a thick crust rectangular pizza. I loved the chewiness of the crust and the sauce, but toppings are a bit sparse. There isn't much of a selection of wines by the glass, but the cocktails are solid and their take on an old fashioned with mirto was solid. We got there five minutes early so we could squeeze in a happy hour spritz, but had to wait to be seated (there was no line and several empty tables, plus we had a reservation for 5:30) and at about 1 minute til five were told we were too late for happy hour. A small thing but it set the tone. The staff seems to have lost its mojo, not a fun atmosphere at all. The food was okay, but not worth the $180 we spent on 4 spritzes, some olives, a small fritti, a small focaccia and a pizza. Not going back. Came for the quaint and beautiful interior design; site setting feels serene. We very much enjoyed the unique restaurant environment. However, we (2 people) were seated very close to our neighbors that it felt like we were having dinner with them, so close that we can clearly hear their conversation and hear them eating. It felt awkward and the dining experience would have been much better if the tables were space further apart, even with the slightest gap. I would recommend removing one table set to allow for some breathing room for patrons along that wall. We didn't order drinks and while the food tasted good, it didn't wow me given what I would anticipate at a Renee Erickson restaurant. Plus when we ordered the prawn crudo for $22 (Spot prawn crudo, lime, persian cucumber, olio verde * 22), the dish only came with ONE prawn! One! Shame on me on not asking before ordering but I would expect more than one prawn for $22 (very reasonable expectation). Lessons learned and beware for next time! read more

Not bad! Really not bad. We came to Seattle for a quick getaway after Christmas and boy did we have some delectable meals! It seems like everywhere we went we tried something that really blew our mind. On our last day we came to Willmott's Ghost for my birthday. My wife chose this spot and decided to treat me to lunch! We ordered the calamari, a salad that had roasted carrots and burrata, mushroom pizza and that days meat lovers pizza (they allow you to combine pizzas to try two different type if the cook time isn't too different). Willmott's switches up the menu very regularly so be prepared to try a lot of different things if you come back! The pizza at first looks like a Detroit style pizza. Square, not much crust and relatively thick. But it's more of a focaccia base type of pizza. Sour tasting dough with toppings. Very good though, not dry like others I've tried. The toppings were very fresh and didn't taste prepackaged ingredients you may see at a place cutting corners. The mushroom side of the pizza had a light olive oil to it and was in contrast to the spicy sauce and meat side. The spicy sauce side was very tasty but I was caught off guard by how spicy it is! I do well with spice but when I bit in I wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was. So if you come in and they list a spicy sauce note that they aren't pulling punches. And I like that. The calamari was light, tender, perfectly breaded and finished with some paprika. Simple, well done and tasty. The salad was super weird. It was more of a vegetable side than a salad but it was very tasty. The burrata and carrot mix was interesting and I'm glad I ordered it to try. Overall this meal wasn't the best of the trip but we had some Seattle staples so it wouldn't be fair to compare them. If you're looking to dine and explore in these interesting looking spheres then I'd urge you stop in. You're bound to find something you'll love. read more

You'll dine inside Bezos' balls. Decor is bright and welcoming. Paying premium $ for pizza and other small plates. But they use good produce. Since it's a pizza place; I'll judge the pizza for what it is. It's kind of like a pan pizza from Pizza Hut. Dough was thick. (Kinda wish it was greasy like Pizza Hut, but I guess it's not classy if it were). The great thing is that I asked for extra pepperoni and they delivered. See photo! Bomb. Service was a bit slow when you ask for anything. Example: We asked for pepper flakes when the pizza came out... then asked someone else... then asked the hostess (she said she couldn't do that and not something she does. Lol). Very small and crowded restaurant, only has about 10 tables and a bar. If your wanting to go to the gardens that is a whole separate thing, that closes at 6 most days. The food is very over priced. I would say the food is mediocre, they add extra flavor notes to foods that done necessary need it. (Lemon on pizza? Not great.) the pork chop was 80% fat and had a obscured amount of olive oil on everything. I think it's a cute place but I think there are better more worth your money restaurants around it. Came here for Happy Hour on a Friday around 4:30pm and it was pretty busy. We luckily got a seat at the bar as soon as we walked in. The host at the front wasn't the friendliest, but our server was great! She told us about the happy hour specials (house red and white for $8, aperol spritz for $8) and some appetizers for half off and a pepperoni pizza for $10. The pizza was delicious! It was on sourdough bread, had tons of pepperoni, and was huge! The aperol spritz was also really good. The pizza was basically focaccia bread with toppings, it was very good ingredients were premium but nothing mind blowing. The real reason for the low rating is because of the service. We were seated and then moved because my partner forgot her ID (we were seated at the bar) then they made us get up and sit by the door before sitting us at a table that had been open the whole time and told us we had to be gone in 40 minutes for the reservation that was at the new table. Through all of this there was one apology after we were reseated and maybe some condescension? It was hard to tell but the staff could definitely use some person-ability training. After reading the other reviews it seems like I'm not the only one who had this experience. I would recommend putting in a reservation or expect to have a pretty unwelcoming experience. read more
