First time coming to this place. Stopped by this place for how the reviews are. We were seated pretty quickly. Was craving for biscuits and gravy so had to get that. I ordered the Ralph's southern breakfast which came with the biscuits and gravy with 2 scrambled eggs and 2 sausage patty. Their coffee was delicious! I had a couple of cups of course. The sausage patty was interesting. It looked like it had flax seeds which I haven't seen before. It tasted ok but probably something I wouldn't order on its own just cause it made the texture of the sausage kind weird. Which its something im not use to. Rating this place a 3.5, just cause the waitress wasn't very attentive. She took our orders and gave us our meal, then left the check and never came back. Which I thought was kinda odd. I gotta say, the Phoenix area has a lot of breakfast and brunch places. This is so awesome. Good breakfast is a luxury. The staff were so friendly and the patio is large and dog friendly. Plus heat lamps if it's cold. Menu is fairly extensive, with a Greek twist. I got the Sicilian omelette and hubby got the cinnamon French toast. Portions are fairly large so it's really a meal and half worth of food. Everything was fairly good. read more

3/10/24: Short version - clean, fast service, but felt rushed to eat quickly so they could bus the table for the next customer(s) & get us out the door. Long version: Popped in on a Sunday around 10:30 a.m., to catch up w/ a friend I haven't seen in a few months. The parking lot had plenty of spaces open which is always a bonus for me. We were seated immediately, and the server came over within seconds. As my friend and I started talking, looking at the menu, talking, menu, the server returned shortly after the last visit (I ordered the giant cinnamon roll) - we still hadn't decided on the meal though. A few minutes later she came again. The menu was pretty large and we still hadn't chosen a meal. The third time she returned we placed the order. The cinnamon roll was pretty good, but not as fluffy as I prefer. My friends pancake was, well, a pancake (there was nothing special about it that would set it apart from any other pancake out there). My lemon-filled French toast was also okay, but nothing spectacular. Because the server kept coming back, we both got the impression she wanted us out for the next in line so we packed up and left. They did have a fairly large, covered (I think) patio which was nice, but the food was simply all right, nothing to write home about. Am I glad I finally went? Yes. Would I return? I have been coming to Wild Berries for years. It is our (wife and I) favorite spot. The food is great and the price is spot on. Even if they are busy it is worth the wait. Coming here as long as we have we have had the opportunity to be served by person that works there from clean-up to cash out. I have never had a bad experience for any of the staff. The base line service expectation for this establishment is higher than any other restaurant I have been to in this category and it only gets better from there. Was driving through phoenix so found a place to have breakfast with a friend. They had a dog friendly patio so that was nice. Service was always quick and they always checked if we needed more coffee. I can't remember what all was in my omelet, it was the special I think it had chorizo. And the potatoes were good as well. I kinda love this place. It honestly reminds me of the Coney I worked at back in MI. Super friendly management and staff. Tasty food, it must all be homecooked goodness. You're typically greeted with server asking for your drink order which is then brought out with complimentary berries. They also bring over a sandwich board that clearly lists that day's specials. The menu items remind me of the variety I would see on Coney menus around MI. Very homey. So if homey isn't your style, ya may want to consider something else. The three of us started with a cinnamon roll because we are the self appointed connoisseurs! It was meh. It came out room temperature and it was not the ooey gooey cinnamon roll we were hoping for. So, meh. My husband had lemon berry stuffed French toast. He didn't think it had enough lemon zing and the overall flavor fell flat. They was cooked well though. My son had Grand Berries Treat and he said they were good, nothing special. They both had some sausage that they didn't find very flavorful. I had bacon and eggs, which were fine. I think the highlight of this restaurant is the service! We had the cutest (and sassiest!) waitress. Every time she visited our table, we laughed or had a smile on our faces! The food was good. Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but we'd come back because we enjoyed our time here. We were offered free French onion soup when we sat down, and graciously accepted (because who doesn't like free soup??). As for our brunch, we ordered the Crunchy French Toast and added the bacon + eggs upgrade and Meat Lovers Omelette. The Crunchy French Toast wasn't that crunchy and it had a bit too much cinnamon for my liking. The Meat Lovers Omelette was a standard omelette. Ordered to go on a busy morning before heading out to a wedding. George's does not have a website; Google will take you to their Facebook page which hasn't been updated since July 2021. There are pictures of the menu on there! I was able to use Menupix to view the menu. The omelets definitely caught my eye but I couldn't resist a classic benedict with red diced potatoes! Bf opted to order in the restaurant to see what the specials were and returned with a strawberry filled French toast. Honestly, I think it was one of the best benedicts I've ever had! That or I was hungry, LOL. The hollandise was thick, creamy, and indulgent. I would have preferred the red potatoes to be fried/cooked a little more as they were slightly mushy but they were still good! (Side note, it's really hard to find breakfast potatoes!) Bf's strawberry filled french toast was a delight! Not sure how much it was as bf paid but it didn't come with any sides... for me, a breakfast doesn't feel complete without sides! OMG. What a fabulous breakfast we had. The crunchy French toast was Definitely a unique experience with homemade sausage to top it off. The French toast is kind of sweet crunchy which I think they said it is made out of cornflakes. The sausage is homemade and definitely delicious ordered two patties and they were huge. Caitlin, who was our server, was such an asset. She filled us in on the menu and told us some of her favorites, she gave us excellent service and was prompt with the coffee. I always try local breakfast places. I love to support local but unfortunately this place will not get my repeat business. I always ask for a sample of the gravy if they offer it. The gravy was not homemade and if it was I need to get in that kitchen and do some teaching. It was thick with no flavor and they advertise "homemade" sausage but it was a cheap tasting link. I did not order the biscuits and gravy. The veggie omelette had canned mushrooms and was loaded with onions and not enough spinach. I tried but had to stop the onions were a lot. I had to send the red potatoes back to be cooked because I was brought out diced boiled potatoes but even after they were brought out again they had no flavor. I always love coming here especially when I'm super hungry. The prices are great, the service is great, The atmosphere is great, and the food of course is great. Our waitress remembered us from the last time and I really loved having her last time as well as this time. I ordered a coffee with a blueberry pancake on the side, sourdough toast, and a veggie omelette. Our wonderful waitress asked if I would like some whipped cream on my pancake, I asked for it on the side and instead opted to put it on top of my coffee for a gourmet coffee and asked for a little bit of cinnamon which she kindly brought me, this gave my coffee a whole new look.
