Do not go here if you have an allergy or need customization of your food in any way. We brought an elderly relative here tonight who has a pepper allergy. Every single dish in this restaurant was - according to the woman who was helping our server - "premade". The kitchen was literally unable to make any of their menu dishes fresh without pepper. My elderly relative ended up with a dinner of sweet potato fries - which looked and tasted like they came out of a bag from the freezer of a grocery store - and thick asparagus stems - not even comple asparagus spears. On top of the inability of their kitchen to cook, their kitchen staff wasn't even able to plate properly. Two of us received our entrees *before* the back and forth with the kitchen about which entrees had pepper in them was even finished! So our elderly relative, who we were taking out to dinner, spent the evening urging us to eat, until her 'dinner' of fries and asparagus stems arrived. Unbelievably rigid, incompetent kitchen. And then they had the nerve to offer us a brownie for dessert as 'compensation' and presented a $150 check for our table. Avoid this restaurant at all costs. read more

My wife and I have dined here several times, primarily because she loves their short ribs, and we both love the crab dip. The Insanity Burger is fairly good too. Most of the other entrees we've tried have been hit-or-miss, and nothing else we've had really stands out. On our most recent visit, the short ribs were fairly fatty, which grosses her out. The rest were not quite as tasty as they used to be prior to their removal from & re-addition to the menu. I tried the vegan cheesesteak, but opted for real mozzarella, since most fake cheeses don't melt well. The Portobello mushrooms were sliced thickly & not chopped like steak, so the texture was off & the large pieces made it difficult to eat. It was also topped with par-grilled onions and thin bell pepper slices. The latter actually overpowered the flavors of everything else, primarily because nothing on this sandwich was actually seasoned with any spices. If this is what vegans actually eat, I feel sorry for them. I literally ordered a real cheesesteak for lunch today, then chopped this up and topped the cheesesteak with it. That was a far tastier sandwich than the vegan version was. It was definitely greasier though. My wife had a slice of Smith Island cake for dessert, since it was her birthday. Both the cake and the icing were dense and dry, and it was fairly flavorless overall. Our server was very helpful and personable. We didn't see any other servers in the main dining area, but he kept up with everyone fairly well. There were also several food runners, who helped him out a bit. Wicked Sisters has improved dramatically from a customer service standpoint. Greeted last night at the host stand with smiles and a friendly attitude from the staff, seated promptly and was greeted by our sensational server Rachel! She has a great personality and is very knowledgeable about the food choices and helped navigate our gluten free requests. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Their signature drinks were awesome! We ordered the Brussels sprouts and then I got the Nourish bowl! Brussels were amazing (not pictured), employees are super nice. I got the Nourish bowl with chicken and without mushrooms. It was yummy, dressing was really good, but for $22, I was kind of underwhelmed. Maybe because I didn't get mushrooms is why I feel like there should be more. Other than that, everything is good. This is my 1st time at this establishment and when I tell you I am completely satisfied with the service I have received. My fiancé and I order the roasted cauliflower, garlic mushrooms and baked meatballs to start. Food 10 out of 10. There was so much flavor in the food received I wanted to order the same meal again. Now let's get to the drinks. The bar manager Greg and Zuri get out the best service I have received in a long time. The first drink I ordered was the Hemingway Daquri off the happy hour menu. I give that a 10 out of 10. That drink was summer in a cold glass. It was refreshing and light with just enough Rum to bring our the flavor. The 2nd drink was a new drink for pride month called the peach park swizzle. Not that drink i give a 100. U get the flavor or the muddled mint and lime with the rum and peach. So reservations were easy and for Sunday brunch I felt like the perfect place to go on a gloomy day. The music set the tone of the atmosphere and gave super brunch vibes. The waitress was very attentive and answered any questions that need to be and she gave us space while in the middle of meals and looking at the menu. The drinks were relatively good and unexpected, I honestly can't recall the names I just remember one of them had milk and alcohol and I'll have to re-look at the menu for the other drink but it was tasty. The chicken was super crispy for the chicken and waffles and the jam that they said they make and change daily was good. It was a peach vinaigrette jam, very sweet!!! We were hesitant to return, but decided to try our luck with takeout dinner last night. While we still weren't blown away, the meal was a partial redemption! We ordered the Nourish Bowl and BFF Wings. The Nourish Bowl had a solid veggie to grain+tofu ratio, with well cooked pearl cous cous. The marinated tofu left something to be desired though--the marinade must not have had time to sink in as the tofu was lacking any real flavor. A light stir fry or baked version would have added more to the dish! The BFF Wings got a so-so rating due to a low level of crispy. read more

Forgot to take pictures! But came here with a large group on Sunday. The onion rings, Brussels sprouts, and mussels were all fabulous apps. My husband got the chicken lettuce wraps which were a little difficult to share or eat in general but tasted flavorful. I had the McCabe burger with pepper jack and bacon and that was yummy, a little dry but sized well. The fries are larger and thicker if you're into that rather than thin and crispy, but they give a good portion. My favorite items were probably the Brussels sprouts and onion rings! SO good. I took my vegetarian friend here to try their famous Brussel Sprouts again and was delighted at all the other delicious vegan/ vegetarian options they have on the menu (some of which were so savory and convincing that they scared my friend into thinking she accidentally ate meat)! The staff were very welcoming and showed us to a charming outdoor seating area on the 2nd floor of the restaurant. The string lights were a great touch, the music was very #positivevibes, and most importantly, the seating was 6ft apart and COVID-friendly. Lori and her team clearly put a lot of heart into making this restaurant a space to enjoy great company and tasty cuisine, at the same time fostering a sense of community with new customers and regulars alike. Sweet and spicy Brussels sprouts: The first time I came here, the Brussels sprouts were charred a little too much and gave the dish a little bit of a bitter flavor. But this time they were done perfectly! The delicious tangy, caramelized coating of Sriracha-honey glaze masks the natural bitterness of the Brussels sprouts and could convert your Brussels-sprouts-hating friends to Brussels sprouts stans! Roasted Jalapenos (vegan?!): This dish gave my vegetarian friend a scare because she was convinced that they used real meat to stuff the jalapenos (but fear not, it was just really good vegan food). Other than the subtle texture, it was hard for me to taste the difference between this vegan meat and real meat. Tofudan Dan Noodles (vegan?!): I was able to try some of my friend's entree and I was blown away at how well done this vegan dish is! I've had DanDan noodles before at Chinese restaurants and the iconic savory, peanut-buttery flavors are so well represented in this vegan version. The noodles are so flavorful and the texture is wonderfully creamy and honestly tastes better than most of the non-vegan DanDan noodles I've had in other restaurants. The touch of nuttiness and caramelization from the pecans and shallots add fantastic bursts of flavor to this enormous dish (this will probably sustain my friend for a couple days at least!). Wicked Crab Cakes: I chose this for my entree and was not disappointed at how generously they make the crab cake. There was plenty of fresh, sweet crab meat in the crab cakes and lots of different sides to choose from. The garlic mushrooms were very flavorful and who can go wrong with some cheese bread? Apple crisp: This was a fantastic dessert for fall vibes. My pet peeve with desserts is always that they tend to be too sweet for my taste, but this dessert had fantastic depth of flavors that was never overpoweringly sweet. The tart from the apple naturally cuts through the sweetness from the rest of the dish, but I think the little addition of saltiness (possibly from the caramel?) is what really pushes the flavors of this dessert to a whole new level. Highly recommend! Blueberry Mojito: My friend and I ordered the Spiritfree Blueberry Mojitos but they were far from being unspirited! We had a wonderful visit to Wicked Sisters. Parking was tricky. We intended on valet service but they weren't out yet (sign says 5 and it was just past 5pm but they must have been running a bit behind) we were able to park on the street after a few times around the block. Its a super quaint, tavern style environment, music in the background but not so much you can't enjoy a conversation. We sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. We ordered the Brussel sprouts as an appetizer - they were delicious and filled us up, in fact, so much so we wished we'd held off ordering our meals but I'm glad it worked out that way. I took the bartenders advice and ordered the Shrimp & Grits (something I'd NEVER have chosen and ordered otherwise) and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend. After our enormous app, I literally probably only ate 1/4 of the entree leaving a nice helping to take home for leftovers which served as two filling meals. Portions are very large. My husband ordered the Wicked Rachel and he said it also was very good. We ordered simple drinks, a beer and a dirty martini, which I was pleased with. Totally recommend this place and would definitely revisit if I make a return to Baltimore in the future. read more

I visited here for the first time today. There was no wait to be seated. Liked the rustic chill vibe. The staff was helpful, pleasant and attentive. It did not take long to order or to be served. I ordered the shrimp and crab pasta. It tasted ok but I expected a lot more flavor. I also ordered a slice of cake to go and that was good. There is mainly limited street parking but they also have a valet option. I am not sure if the valet option is just for certain times of the day though. read more

Came here for brunch with some friends. We have patronised this restaurant a handful of times for brunch. I love their brunch menu because it's straight and to the point! Prices are reasonable and the food is good. The handcrafted drinks looked good as well. I had the Bloody Mary which was well balanced with the spice. Some of the drinks ordered were the what's up doc (friend said it was on the sweet side), orange crush and the lemon basil blueberry crush. I ordered the lox and bagel for my starter, but it wasn't much of a starter since my main food came out less than 3 minutes later. I ordered the spinach omelette. I sent it back because it was cooked too long for my liking. The 2nd time around it came out better. I'm not a fan of processed eggs (which most restaurants use). Came here for happy hour with 2 friends. We grabbed a spot at the corner seats of the bar. I'm always looking for a bar with corner seating, so when you are with a party of 3 or more everyone can still face each other and be apart of the conversation. Around 4pm on a Friday a crowd was not present, but started to pick up soon after. For food- I was on a pretty strict diet at the time, so I have happy about the Edamame Hummus dish they offered for happy hour. I choose that and couldn't resist eating the pita bread, but I forgave myself later because I was able to resist getting a drink. The happy hour prices were the best I have ever scene, but they had a large variety of menu options, and it was cool to see what other people were ordering at the bar. The burger was delicious! Matter-of-fact, this might be the best burger I've had yet in Baltimore. The only reason I rated this three out of five Was the snooty service while I was getting takeout. They didn't even try to hide their displeasure over somebody still wearing a mask/getting takeout instead of coming there and making tips for them. They even included a 15% Automatic gratuity for themselves without asking me. When I asked about it, the formerly snooty man at the bar said "well I can take it off if you really want..." While at the same time making sheepish eyes. I left it on because I just wanted to get out of there. After working a 60 hour plus week, I was in no mood to argue. But I'll be honest, this policy makes it very hard for me to return. I may give a couple dollars here or there for friendly/fantastic counter service, but I absolutely refuse to give them 15% for pick up/bar service. read more

I'm not sure if it was worth the price paid, but it was enjoyable. The southwestern soup was out of this world. What a gem of a find! Definitely recommend eating here. The vibe inside is sooo cute! I'm celiac (gluten free) and this place is absolutely amazing as everything in the Fryer is gluten free too! Went with friends on a rainy, Saturday night. Was still surprisingly busy but we were able to be seated at the bar no problem quickly. Our server was Lily and she was great. She made drinks for our friends and explained to us why the tavern was named "Wicked Sisters." I ordered shrimp and grits which were awesome. Very tasty. I visited a few days ago with 3 of my girl friends for an early Galentines lunch and we had a GREAT time! We started with drinks: the Streisand Effect sangria, Noelle Grey, and the Pom-rosemary mule + vodka (spirit-free option also available). One drink on the menu comes in a "bear cup" but because none of us were interested in that specific drink yet wanted its aesthetic, we special requested to put our drinks in the bear! We could not get over how cute the drinks turned out! Tasted delicious too! I'm not a huge fan of brussel sprouts, but I LOVED the sweet and spicy brussel sprouts!! These really WOW'ed my friends and I! It was the perfect amount of sweetness with a little bit of a kick! For my main dish I had the Ahi Tuna Bowl. This one was okay. I unfortunately was not impressed. The tuna and cauliflower tasted bland so I had to ask for salt and pepper. The rice was a little undercooked. Overall this dish was not worth $24 and I would not recommend. Other things to note: FANTASTIC service, cute decorations, cozy ambiance. I got the roasted jalapeños, tofu dandan noodles, and the karma burger. The burger was absolutely delicious. There was too little of the vegan cojita cheese on the jalapeños in my opinion; I couldn't really taste it. The noodles were alright. One of the desserts in the menu is vegan but not labeled as such. There are also some items with vegan replacements listed in the menu but these aren't labeled as vegan, so look out for those. We ordered to-go at the restaurant since the outdoor seating was packed until very late. The food was brought out very quickly. Restaurant waste generation info: We ordered to-go. Two of the dishes came in compostable containers and one came in a plastic container. (Plastic to-go containers are sadly not recyclable in Baltimore City.) Really good food but definitely on the more expensive side. With that said, there are good portion sizes. Great atmosphere and beautiful setting butthe reason I've it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the service was a bit lacking, which says a lot seeing as with social distancing there weren't too many people there. So would I go back? Yeah I would but probably not for a little while. And while I wanted it to be, this probably won't be my go to restaurant in the area. read more

Finally had the chance to try Wicked Sisters this past Friday night. A really nice rehabbed building with two floors. They have a really good beer and cocktail selection. For starters we tried the Bangkok Chicken lettuce wraps which were rather tasty, the ingredients were really fresh and the flavors meshed well together. The pork tenderloin was really delicious, really loved the mashed potatoes and the tenderloin was really tender and juicy. The pecan encrusted chicken was not my fave, it really just tasted like a roasted chicken, the skin was nice and crispy but was expecting to taste more of the pecan flavor. But overall our dining experience was really good, service was good and prompt and our server was really helpful with helping us to choose entrees. I would def return for brunch or lunch, heard they have really good burgers. read more

Not joking when I say this is my favorite restaurant in Baltimore!! The menu (both brunch and regular) has something for everybody to enjoy. This could be for any and every occasion, as it has a comfortable feel but cuisine that is remarkable. My friends and I enjoyed some of the menu's most delicious items like the crab cake sandwich, Salmon BLT, brussel sprouts, mussels and Turkey Burger. The drinks are phenomenal. I'm loyal to the cocktail called "Festavus," a fruity cinnamon tequila drink that will make you want to order another and then another.
