The protein here is 5 stars. It's honestly hard to get meals cooked and served for a group with beef made to order and consumed hot. We enjoyed every bite. We think there could be some more toppings options for the burgers, even if drawn from existing menu items. This is hands down the best burger I've had in Maryland but sometimes we like over the top or creative flavor combos. The sides we had were excellently prepared; I do prefer my fries a little saltier but I tend to like that more than most. The Brussels sprouts were 1% soggy, an opinion I have only because some other local spots offer them flawlessly crispy. The flavor here was a neat sweet and savory without being too bold. Our neighbors got wings that looked so juicy yet crispy- enough to mention it here. The drinks and service are unique and top notch! It can be rare to find a good food and drink menu like this. The service was exceptional and rare! Everything was timely on a busy dinner hour and we were treated like familiar regulars. The music and ambiance are neat, clean, and fresh. I went here about 2 years ago for vegan restaurant week and came here again this year for vegan restaurant week and I was not impressed (last time was a way better experience). They didn't really have any vegan specials that weren't already on their menu. We wanted the Buffalo cauliflower, but they ran out so we get the beyond jalapeños based on the waitress' recommendation, but it was literally just 2 jalapeños sliced in half, seeded, and filled with some beyond sausage and a little cheese. The sauces were hardly enough to eat with the food (but the avocado crema was good if I could have had more of it). For $14, I definitely could have made this at home. The jalapeños didn't even taste grilled. For our entrees, I got the curry bowl (based again on the waitress' recommendation) and my husband got the insanity burger. My husband really enjoyed his burger and said the patty was like a mixture of beef and short rib combined, so he said it was delicious. While the curry flavor of mine was good, the tofu didn't do anything extra for me other than adding protein. It would have been nice if they would have at least fried it or did something with the tofu rather than just take store-bought tofu and chop it up. It also wasn't very filling, so we got dessert too. For dessert we got their bread pudding and the waitress mentioned it was a pumpkin spice flavor and I was immediately excited. I love bread pudding with ice cream, so I also ordered cajou creamery's dulce de leche ice cream with it (Note: the bread pudding is not vegan, but the ice cream is). The dessert came out and while it's plenty to share for two people, that was where the pros ended. The bread pudding tasted like it was made in the morning, so it tasted old and kind of stale. The flavor was nothing like pumpkin spice, but rather chocolate chip which I'm not a fan of. While I'm impressed with the consistency and creaminess of the cashew cream ice cream, the flavor was not there. It just tasted like vanilla ice cream, which I don't care for either. Now when the bill came, that was a whole other issue. My husband ordered their standard mule (the menu said $9) and the waitress asked what type of alcohol he wanted and he said Tito's. The receipt showed $4 for the mule and $8 for Tito's which I thought it was odd it was broken up like that, but also, why doesn't it add up to the $9? The waitress said it was because he ordered Tito's, but at no point did she mention there'd be an upcharge for it. And she asked what kind of alcohol he wanted, so why ask and not mention the difference in prices? Also, the mule was presented in a normal glass, and from our experience, mules are a little underwhelming when not in a copper cup. My husband said the taste of this one was whatever. The other issue on the bill was the dessert, it had $9 for the ice cream (which is correct according to the menu) and then an extra $5 for an extra scoop, which I did not ask for. The waitress was able to fix that error at least. All in all, I won't be a repeat customer. The food is pricey and subpar. I appreciate their attempt at having vegan options though. read more

It's been on my list based on the name alone. Was in the area last weekend, on Saturday, and popped in solo for lunch. I was able to snag a seat at the bar which was thinning out so it was just me, another patron and the bartender. I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was a decent experience. They expressed " they are pretty busy but will try to squeeze us in " ...perfect we get their on time and our table for two was waiting for us . It was my best friends birthday and she wanted to come here (because online under TUESDAYS special it stated lunch until 5pm and 50% off all appetizers) we ask our waitress about before order she told us to give her a second and leaves to asks the manager (MIND YOU it's a small area so we could hear what the man was saying) ( in which he was rude) Our waitress proceeded to ask him about the 50% off appetizers; stating it ended at 3 (apparently)-- we over hear the manager say "I would just tell them we have to update our website" --so we brushed it off and waited for the waitress to come back. In which she stated they have to update their website cause it "ended at 3pm" (BUT she was super sweet) she then stated she would take $5 off any appetizer. We kindly decline and stated we will pay for the drinks (2) in which she stated to not worry about it! As we were leaving she tells the manager ( again!!!! I will say... the employees are friendly most of the time. resturaunt is swarming with flies. my family and i were sat by the front window and we couldnt focus or eat without the flies landing on our food and getting in the way. the ceiling above the bar seems to be leaking, and has been for a while. owner seems incompetent and just money hungry. he wont close for a day to hire a plumber or an exterminator. it's left up to the employees to spray the flies on the windows with cleaner and sweep them up... disgusting especially when they do it 4 times in the span of an hour! place stinks of sewage near any of pipes. just gonna say yikes... get your shit together wicked sisters read more

The food was just ok. My hamburger, ordered medium rare, was extremely dry. It was a Swiss cheese burger and you could barely see the cheese. It was such a thin slice (one) that it melted right into the burger. It was comical. Should have taken a picture. My friends ordered fish and, although they say it was good, the plate was 80% covered in chopped salad. The service was awful. We had to get the bartender, who happened to be passing by our table, get us our beverages because the server just forgot about us. Highly recommend the blue cheese. When I ordered the insanity burger I didn't know what to expect. When I started to eat the burger I said to myself, this burger is insane and I forgot that that was the name of the burger.. no false advertising there. One of the best burgers I've had. I took off the onion rings and eat them separately and just added all the sides that they had put on the side. I didn't bother to add the wicked sauce because it didn't need it. I use that sauce with my girlfriends French fries as I had the Brussels sprouts. The brussels sprouts had a honey Sriracha glaze. They wouldn't know that I'm not a fan of sugar but it was still delicious. We ordered a half order of mussels. I didn't try them but Claire thought they were decent. I came in because they were participating in Maryland Vegan Restaurant Month. Ordered cocktails, shared the roasted cauliflower as an appetizer. First of all, I would like to say that I definately plan to return to Wicked Sisters in the future. A friend and I went here for dinner after I picked her up from the airport. We did not have reservations, but were able to get a table upstairs, for which we were grateful. Abbygale was our server, and she was outstanding! She was always there when we needed something, and always checked on us as the evening went on. We each ordered something different, which gave me a good idea of how the food was prepared and the taste of the food. We started with Brussel Sprouts and Baked Meatballs, Both were perfectly seasoned and was very delicious. The portion size for the starters could have been a meal by themselves. Our entrees were a bit more conservative. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries, while my friend had the McCabe Burger. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the Hamden scenery and sights of the city. The menu was not overwhelming but well designed, with great options for everyone. I came to Wicked Sisters for a late lunch/early dinner after a lovely day at the spa. Wicked sisters is usually quite busy and inside they are still at reduced capacity. They do however have an outdoor patio upstairs which was perfect for the 64 degree day. They have about 8 tables and a lounge area on their patio with plenty of room to social distance. They had both the lunch and dinner menu available though a couple items weren't available. We ordered a half order of mussels, crab soup, turkey burger and the chickpea burger. For dessert we got the vegan cajou horchata ice cream, decaf coffee, the Maryland cake and Russian imperial stout. The apps came out in about 10 min and the soup was a good size portion enough to share but not enough as the standalone dish. It wasn't a creamy soup but a tomato bisque base which was nice and light. There were a good number of veggies but not as much crab as I woulda liked. The mussels were really big and all but one of them were open which was great. The bread that came out with it was cheesy bread - a nice touch. There wasn't an oyster fork though and the white wine broth they were cooked in needed a lot more flavor and some salt. The burger and fries were solid. They provided a lot of add on options and the fries were well cut and perfectly done. I thought that the turkey meat itself was a bit dry and either needed less time on the grill or some added moisture to the burger itself. The desserts were amazing. We had ordered the lemon Maryland cake and it went really well with the cojou horchata ice cream. They have a few vegan items on the menu though they were out of one vegan dish for the sandwiches. This spot works if you're veggie or vegan but there are limited options. I'll likely return though and try some of their other sandwiches or an entree. read more

The crab dip was also average in terms of US standards, but below average in terms of Baltimore standards. You can get much better crab dip with large pieces of crab meat at other restaurants in Baltimore (ex: Nick's Fish House or Don't Know Tavern). As for the "dan dan" noodles, they were far below average. They weren't even dan dan noodles. I've been to WST 2x and its always perfect. First time I went I ordered the wings with the sauce of the week. I believe it was a Thai Chili type flavor and they were great. Not to saucy, cooked well with a nice crisp. The next time I went I ordered the Insanity Burger cooked medium, it was nice burger with A LOT of toppings. I made a mistake of not cutting my burger and it started to get messy but that didn't take away from the taste. The fries is really what fills you up. They're a nice cut with a nice amount of seasoning, the portion is the size of a chinese takeout box so it. Their drinks aren't for the weak. I appreciate a restaurant that doesn't water down their drinks or provide more juice than alcohol and Wicked Sisters does not do that. Service was a 3, but the food was a definite 2, with the exception of the waffle my granddaughter ordered which she loved (I didn't taste it but she said it was excellent). The mushroom sandwich we had lacked any type of seasoning but was served in a quality roll; the shrimp and grits were just weird taste wise...almost like that had alcohol in them and were trashed when we arrived home; and the scones we ordered were hard, dry and more like a biscuit than a scone in texture.
