A new burger chain in town. They cook every burger to order so there is bit of wait, which is all good. Got to be careful with ground beef. Fries and onion rings are also cooked to order, which are good. The shakes are good, but I have not had a bad shake from actual resturaunt. The main issue I have with this place is that they do not season the meat. Maybe this has changed but there was no flavor in the burger. The have some pickled sweet pickles that were super tasty but with all the good burgers around town this place needs to step up its game. Season the beef! read more

I grabbed a couple of burgers and some onion rings to go a few days ago for the first time. The establishment appears well kept and clean. It took a while for the burgers as they are made to order. Not a big deal but a good thing to know if you are in a hurry. The burgers were exactly how I ordered them and were on point. The onion rings were delicious. Way better than many fast food joints in the area. I felt the burgers were overpriced, especially having to pay for each add on item... it builds up. I was just there a couple days ago and thought the food was excellent. It was my first time and the cashier helped pick out the Double Bacon Jake cheeseburger with barbecue house-made chips on the side. It was a decent price and the service was friendly and upbeat. From the second we stepped in the door the staff was friendly and working with a sense of urgency. They were busy and set wait time expectations with us right away which we really appreciated. They got our drinks made and out to us quickly so we could sip our milkshakes while we waited. At one point during our wait, a Grubhub driver who had been talking to another driver while waiting went to check on his pickup. The order had already been called out and was waiting for him, but he missed it while he was socializing. He proceeded to roll his eyes and berate the employees, arguing that they never called his order. (They did. We heard it) The employees handled it fabulously and were polite the entire time. We wanted a good hamburger in our new home town. This was a BAD choice! The meat itself was the only good part of two hamburgers wrapped in sweet and stale buns, rancid ketchup, and supposedly grilled onions (I think I found one piece of diced something that could have been grilled onion.) The mac and cheese bites are DISGUSTING but perhaps if Velveta is your "cheese" product of preference you would like them. The fries are greasy, limp and have an odd taste (only ate one each). The onion rings are actually pretty good. The coffee shake, not so much. Overall NOT a place we will revisit. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Burgers were cold. Service is horrible and other customers after us were served first. We didn't get our shakes until the very end. Called and complained to the manager who offered a free meal the next time we went in. BUT WHEN WE SHOWED UP THE VERY NEXT DAY they said we hadn't called or that we must have called somewhere else. Just was there, on my own nothing fancy but a rodeo burger with cheese fries and soda. Took the almost 30 min to make my food. Asked what happened they said cheese fries... um really bacon bits take under 2 min to make... did someone have to go to the store for bacon. When I got food burger was cold and fries were hot. I love their burgers, it's my second or third favorite burger joint in Eugene. The burgers are always delicious although I hate how they use chopped onions and not normal rings. Don't waste your money on the Chili cheese fries or the cheese fries, they are terrible. I am a Delivery Driver, so i go into a lot of Restaurants. I was picking up food from Wayback burgers on 08/08/20 at 6:45 pm. I announced myself when l arrived. I was told that i would be a few more minutes, so i went outside to have a smoke. when i went back in, I was told that my delivery had been served. I asked how being i was just right outside having a smoke. So i explained that it would have to be remade, I was told " I cant do that", I then called Doordash, they called and paid them again to remake the order that they had given to someone else. I was at Wayback Burgers today around three thirty and it was not busy I was the only customer at the counter while there were three girls behind the counter. They all saw that I was in my power chair and not one came to open the door for me( either way in or out) I was truely disappointed and I even asked for help getting out!! So, maybe we were just there on an off day, but our milkshakes were not good. I had the mint Oreo and the first sip was overwhelmingly chemically tasting. I figured they used an artificial mint syrup for flavoring versus mint Oreos or mint ice cream. But the vanilla, chocolate and cookies n cream shakes also tasted very artificial. My six year old son (not influenced by me because I hadn't said anything out loud) even wiped his tongue off with a "what's that taste?" look on his face. I'm a huge fan of milkshakes and I don't have picky tastes (I love McD's shakes, for example) and have never had a shake that tasted like that. Food all over the floor. Table was sticky. My son had to get a napkin to clean the table himself. Asked staff to clean food around the table. Took awhile for them to come over and clean up even though it was not busy. It appeared to me the staff was not happy working there. My hamburger was okay. The bun fell apart from excess grease. My onion rings were greasy too. I tried my husband's french fries and they were really good. Hopefully management can work on staff issues and cleanliness or hire workers who are energetic, motivated and happy to be working there. read more

I'll admit I was skeptical about a new burger joint in a strip mall where you can also buy a rifle, a pet iguana, and join any branch of the military, but there's a good chance this will become a regular spot to pick up a burger. Tonight was the last time that I will order anything from here. The food is great! That is the only thing that is keeping me from giving it a one star, it is the service that is awful. The last three times that I have frequented this restaurant, there have been several mistakes made with my orders, or the orders of my party, and consistently, we have been met with rudeness and refusal to fix the mistakes that were made. The beef they use is top notch! We raise our own grass fed beef and there beef rivals our organic beef! Clean, fast, and friendly place to eat. The strawberry milkshake tastes like they used to before the use of soft serve shakes took over. Way to go Way back! I will be going back again soon. read more
